ObjectiveTo investigate the expression features of HBsAg and HBcAg in liver tissue and their correlation with HBV serum markers in children with chronic hepatitis B （CHB）. MethodsA total of 257 patients who were consecutively admitted to The Fifth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from January 2013 to December 2023 and underwent liver biopsy to achieve a confirmed diagnosis of CHB were enrolled in this study. The NIS-Elements system was used to capture the immunohistochemical images of HBsAg and HBcAg in liver tissues， and Image J software was used for quantitative analysis. The one-sample chi-square test was used for within-group comparison of continuous data， and the Pearson/Spearman/Kendall’s Tau-b correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation between viral antigen expression and serological markers. ResultsAmong the 257 CHB patients， there were 162 children （76 children aged<5 years and 86 children aged 5 — 18 years） and 95 adults. There were significant differences in the expression pattern， area， and intensity of HBsAg and the area and intensity of HBcAg in liver tissue between different age groups and between the children with different HBeAg statuses （all P<0.05）. In the children aged<5 years， HBsAg staining area was significantly negatively correlated with anti-HBs and HBeAg （both P<0.05）and was significantly positively correlated with ALT and AST （both P<0.05）， and HBsAg staining intensity was significantly positively correlated with qHBsAg （P<0.05） and was significantly negatively correlated with anti-HBs （P<0.05）. In the children group， HBsAg staining area was negatively correlated with anti-HBs and HBeAg （both P<0.05）， and HBsAg staining intensity was positively correlated with qHBsAg （P<0.05） and was negatively correlated with anti-HBs （P<0.05）. In the adult group， HBsAg staining area was positively correlated with ALT， AST， and liver inflammatory activity （all P<0.05）， and HBsAg staining intensity was positively correlated with qHBsAg， HBeAg， and HBV DNA （all P<0.05） and was negatively correlated with liver inflammatory activity and fibrosis degree （both P<0.05）. In the children aged<5 years， HBcAg staining area was positively correlated with qHBsAg and HBV DNA （both P<0.05）， and HBcAg staining intensity was significantly positively correlated with HBV DNA （P<0.001）. In the children aged 5 — 18 years， the area and intensity of HBcAg staining were positively correlated with qHBsAg， HBeAg， and HBV DNA （all P<0.05）. In the children group， HBcAg staining area was positively correlated with qHBsAg， HBeAg， and HBV DNA （all P<0.05）， and HBcAg staining intensity was positively correlated with qHBsAg and HBV DNA （both P<0.05）. In the adult group， the area and intensity of HBcAg staining were positively correlated with qHBsAg， HBeAg， and HBV DNA （all P<0.001）， and HBcAg staining area was positively correlated with the serum level of ALT （P=0.043）. ConclusionThe expression levels of HBsAg and HBcAg in liver tissue of children with CHB are significantly correlated with serological markers， and in clinical practice， HBsAg and HBcAg combined with serological markers can help to assess the condition of the liver， determine the immune stage， and provide evidence-based guidance for treatment timing.

Objective:To evaluate the current situation of interventional treatment for children with tic disorder and family needs for interventions and to analyze the factors influencing intervention needs.Methods:This cross-sectional study encompassed 362 children and their families who sought medical attention at Children′s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, from October 2022 to January 2023.Factors influencing their intervention needs were analyzed.Results:A total of 362 children were surveyed.The main therapies of family concern included medication and behavioral intervention.Currently, the predominant therapy employed in the care of these children was medication (102/126, 80.9%), not with standing the fact that 77.8% of parents expressed discontent with its efficacy.Of the children and families included in the survey, 276 (76.2%) gave responses delineating their specific intervention needs.The paramount among these was the need for social support, with the score of (2.69±0.96) points.Multiple linear regression analysis revealed the notable influence of the duration of the ailment, the presence of comorbidities, the gravity of the disorder, the monthly household income, parental anxiety levels, and concerns germane to the therapeutic regimen on the family needs for interventions (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The extant therapeutic approaches applied in tic disorder exhibit a discernable constraint in terms of efficacy.Parents evince a pronounced yearning for interventions.These needs are contingent upon a spectrum of determinants.Clinicians are advised to consider the family needs for interventions when formulating therapeutic strategies, so that they can propound bespoke intervention plans to ameliorate therapeutic outcomes.

Endo-periodontal lesions(EPLs)involve both the periodontium and pulp tissue and have complicated etiologies and pathogenic mechanisms,including unique anatomical and microbiological characteristics and multiple contributing factors.This etiological complexity leads to difficulties in determining patient prognosis,posing great challenges in clinical practice.Furthermore,EPL-affected teeth require multidisciplinary therapy,including periodontal therapy,endodontic therapy and others,but there is still much debate about the appropriate timing of periodontal therapy and root canal therapy.By compiling the most recent findings on the etiology,pathogenesis,clinical characteristics,diagnosis,therapy,and prognosis of EPL-affected teeth,this consensus sought to support clinicians in making the best possible treatment decisions based on both biological and clinical evidence.

Objective:To study the clinical efficacy of digital design combined with three-dimensional (3D) printing model minimally invasive extraction of complex impacted mandibular third molars.Methods:Eight patients who visited the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology from April 2023 to March 2024 were included, including 3 males and 5 females, aged from 27 to 57 years old. The impacted mandibular third molars of all patients were closely related to the mandibular canal, and part of the dental tissue entered the mandibular canal. Preoperative digital design was used to simulate the intraoperative tooth segmentation and bone removal operation of the power system and the segmented tooth dislocation path, and analyze the tooth extraction resistance. The mandibular teeth, mandibular canal and mandibular model were three-dimensionally printed using light-curing resin inkjet. During the operation, an endoscope was used combined with the 3D printed model to minimally invasively extract the impacted mandibular third molar. Quantitative sensory testing of the patient′s lower lip skin on the operated side was performed before surgery, 2 days after surgery, and 7 days after surgery. Clinical data such as operation time were collected. A paired sample t test was performed on the 2 and 7 days postoperative data and the preoperative data to compare the data differences.Results:All 8 patients successfully completed preoperative design, model printing and minimally invasive surgery. The number of teeth segmented in the preoperative design was (4.4±1.3), and the number of teeth segmented in the actual operation was (4.0±1.1). The operation time was (33.3±13.0) min. None of the patients had postoperative numbness of the lower lip or other postoperative complication. It was observed endoscopically that the inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle was exposed in the extraction socket during the operation. The patient′s pressure pain threshold 2 days after surgery (0.601±1.170) was significantly lower than before surgery (1.251±1.109) ( t=2.83, P=0.025). Conclusions:For complicated impacted mandibular third molars, digital design combined with 3D printing model can be used to perform minimally invasive extraction with the assistance of an endoscope.

Objective To investigate the articles on liver diseases published by authors from China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions) in Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) in 2016-2020, to analyze the bibliographic and citation data of these articles, and to understand the contribution and impact of Chinese scholars in the field of liver disease research in recent years. Methods The data for bibliometric analysis came from the SCIE database and Journal Citation Reports (JCR). The SCIE database was searched for the journal articles published in JCR Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals in 2016-2020, with a title or abstract containing "Liver", "Hepatocellular", "Hepatitis", "Cirrhosis", or "Hepatic" and a publication type of Article. Clinical guidelines were excluded, and the records with the corresponding author's affiliation containing institutions in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions) were screened out. R package bibliometrix was used to calculate the frequency of citations of included articles by liver disease studies published by Chinese and global authors in the Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals in 2016-2020, and R package DescTools was used to perform the Cochran-Armitage trend test to observe the change in composition ratio. Results In the Q1 Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals in 2016-2020, liver disease studies published by Chinese authors accounted for 9.5%. In recent years, the proportion of liver disease studies published by Chinese authors in Q1 Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals continues to increase from 6.0% to 12.2% ( P < 0.001). Among the liver disease studies published by Chinese authors in Q1 Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals, 79.7% were funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, and there was no significant change in the proportion of studies funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and published by Chinese authors in each partition of Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals in 2016-2020. The frequency of citations of included articles by liver disease studies published by Chinese and global authors in the Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals showed that liver disease studies published by Chinese authors had a high impact in both domestic and international academic communities. Conclusion In recent years, there has been a constant increase in the number of liver disease studies published by Chinese authors in high-impact Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals indexed in SCIE, and most of these studies have been funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China. The liver disease studies published by Chinese authors in Gastroenterology & Hepatology journals have been widely recognized by domestic and international academic communities.

Objective:To explore the effect of the interval of radical prostatectomy after prostate puncture on the perioperative period and prognosis of patients.Methods:Patient’s data from September 2016 to September 2018 whom performed laparoscopic radical prostatectomy at the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were collected and retrospectively analyzed. All prostate biopsy confirmed prostate cancer and 66 patients underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. The average age was (70.11 ± 5.01) years, ranged from 60 to 79 years. The patients were divided into two groups according to the interval time from prostate biopsy to laparoscopic radical prostatectomy: <7 d group ( n=32) and 6-8 weeks group ( n= 34). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative hospital stays, positive rate of incisional margin, postoperative urinary incontinence rate and the rate of urinary incontinence 6 months after operation, rate of postoperative erectile dysfunction and bone metastasis were compared and analyzed between the two groups. When the data conformed to the normal distribution, the data were expressed in Mean±standard deviation ( Mean± SD), and the independent sample t-test was used to evaluate the statistical significance between groups. When the data did not conform to the normal distribution, the measurement data was expressed as Median (interquartile range) [ M( P25, P75)], and the Mann-Whitney U test was used for the comparison between groups. Count data comparison between groups using Chi-square test or Fisher exact probability method. Unconditional multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the relationship between outcome and exposure. Results:All the 66 patients successfully underwent surgery, the surgery success rate was 100%. The average operation time of <7 d group and group 6-8 weeks group was [185.00(174.50, 193.50)] min and [183.00(175.00, 187.50) min], respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=0.685 8, U=512.0). The average intraoperative blood loss of group <7 d group and 6-8 weeks group was [185.50(177.75, 205.25)]ml, [189.00(180.75, 206.00)] ml, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=0.685 9, U=512.0). The average postoperative hospital stays of <7 d group and 6-8 weeks group was [14.00(11.75, 16.00)] d, [13.50(12.00, 15.00)] d, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=0.785 7, U=522.5). The positive rate of incisal margin of<7 d group and 6-8 weeks group was 18.75%, 14.71%, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=0.659 5, χ2=0.194). The postoperative urinary incontinence rate of <7 d group and 6-8 weeks group was 6.25% and 8.82%, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=1.000 0). The urinary control after follow-up for six months of <7 d group and 6-8 weeks group was 6.25% and 2.94%, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=0.607 7). The postoperative erectile dysfunction rate of<7 d group and group 6-8 weeks group was 9.38% and 8.82%, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=1.000 0). The postoperative bone metastasis rate of group<7 d and 6-8 weeks group was 6.25% and 5.88%, respectively, the difference was not statistically significant ( P=1.000 0). Conclusions:Performing laparoscopic radical prostatectomy within 7 days following prostate biopsy did not adversely affect the postoperative outcomes and prognosis, also not increased postoperative complications, can shorten the patient′s treatment cycle.

Chronic high-salt diet-associated renal injury is a key risk factor for the development of hypertension. However, the mechanism by which salt triggers kidney damage is poorly understood. Our study investigated how high salt (HS) intake triggers early renal injury by considering the ‘gut-kidney axis’. We fed mice 2% NaCl in drinking water continuously for 8 weeks to induce early renal injury. We found that the ‘quantitative’ and ‘qualitative’ levels of the intestinal microflora were significantly altered after chronic HS feeding, which indicated the occurrence of enteric dysbiosis. In addition, intestinal immunological gene expression was impaired in mice with HS intake. Gut permeability elevation and enteric bacterial translocation into the kidney were detected after chronic HS feeding. Gut bacteria depletion by non-absorbable antibiotic administration restored HS loading-induced gut leakiness, renal injury and systolic blood pressure elevation. The fecal microbiota from mice fed chronic HS could independently cause gut leakiness and renal injury. Our current work provides a novel insight into the mechanism of HS-induced renal injury by investigating the role of the intestine with enteric bacteria and gut permeability and clearly illustrates that chronic HS loading elicited renal injury and dysfunction that was dependent on the intestine.

This study aimed at comparing the precise powder decoction pieces and market raw TCM slices of P.cacumen over the decocting quality.ITS2 sequence was adopted as a DNA barcode to identify P.cacumen.The chemical composition of the medicinal materials was characterized by HPLC fingerprints for the evaluation of the similarity of precise powder decoction pieces and market TCM slices.The concentrations of quercitrin were determined using UPLC,and the characteristic common peaks were identified.In addition,the extraction efficiency between the market TCM slices and the precise powder decoction pieces was also compared by standard decoction method.It was found that P.cacumen was accurately identified by ITS2 sequences.HPLC fingerprints showed that the extraction efficiency and similarity of the precise powder decoction pieces increased compared with the market TCM slices.However,the extraction yield rate of the precise powder decoction pieces was improved by 20％ increased in accordance with the standard decoction method,while the contents of the index component,quercitrin,presented rare increase and the decocting rates of the other chemical components little change in the study.In conclusion,it was indicated that precise powder decoction pieces improved the extraction efficiency and uniformity in comparison with TCM slices.

This study aimed at investigating the drug preparation of precise powder decoction pieces (PPDP) system,Fallopia multiflora radix preparata (FMRP) was employed in this study.Different specifications of PPDP were prepared,their extract rates were in contrast with the original pieces.Compared the quality uniformity of three batches between FMRP original slices and its PPDP extraction,the similarity of the chemical fingerprints was evaluated,and the contents of common peaks and quality uniformity were compared by relative peak areas.ITS2 sequence was taken as a DNA barcode to identify F.multiflora radix (FMR).As a result,the extract rate of PPDP was 2.5 times as much as the original slices.The average content of stilbene glucoside from the three original slices and the PPDP extraction were 3.56 ± 2.61 and 13.23 ± 0.37 mg·g-1,respectively;while the RSD were 73.28％ and 2.82％.The similarity of the fingerprints of the PPDP extraction was almost the same as that of the original slices,but the content and the uniformity of the common peaks of the PPDP extraction were significantly improved.Thus,FMR was accurately identified using ITS2 sequences.It was concluded that the PPDP considerably improve the decocting rate and quality uniformity,indicating that PPDP could save resources and improve the clinical efficacy.

Objective To learn the epidemiological characteristics of syphilis in Shihezi in recent three years and to provide bases for prevention .Epidemiological analysis with syphilis was conducted in our hospital from 2012 to 2014 ,which is about the detection rate ,age ,gender ,and the distribution in the department .Methods Serum were deteceted by using three methods and the data were analyzed .Results 1 281 syphilis cases in 74 798 patients were detected in our hospital during this period .The total positve rate of three years was 1 .71% .The positve rate was 1 .35% ,1 .83% and 2 .01% respectively .The results of three years was significant differences(χ2 =39 .877 ,P<0 .05) .The rate in gender was not significantly higher or lower(χ2 =1 .670 ,P=0 .434>0 .05) .The ca‐ses were mainly distributed in Han(581 ,45 .36% ) ,Uygur(43 ,3 .36% ) ,Kazak(23 ,1 .80% ) .353 cases were negative by RPR among 1 281 patients with syphilis(27 .56% ) ,and the negative rises year by year .Conclusion The incidence of syphilis increased slightly in Shihezi since 2012 .Though the detection rate between 2013 and 2014 was no significant difference .The focus was on 20- year′s old women of childbearing age .It is necessary to take strict measures to control the spread of syphilis and to do syphilis examina‐tion for all inpatients in order to prevent the infection of syphilis .
