Metastasis serves as an indicator of malignancy and is a biological characteristic of carcinomas. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays a key role in the promotion of tumor invasion and metastasis and in the enhancement of tumor cell aggressiveness. Prostaglandin E synthase 3 (p23) is a cochaperone for heat shock protein 90 (HSP90). Our previous study showed that p23 is an HSP90-independent transcription factor in cancer-associated inflammation. The effect and mechanism of action of p23 on lung cancer metastasis are tested in this study. By utilizing cell models in vitro and mouse tail vein metastasis models in vivo, the results provide solid evidence that p23 is critical for promoting lung cancer metastases by regulating downstream CXCL1 expression. Rather than acting independently, p23 forms a complex with RNA-binding motif protein 14 (RBM14) to facilitate EMT progression in lung cancer. Therefore, our study provides evidence for the potential role of the RBM14-p23-CXCL1-EMT axis in the metastasis of lung cancer.

Objective:To investigate the effect of polystyrene microplastics(PS-MPs)combined with high-fat treatment on vascular endothelial cells.Methods:Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)were cultured in the DMEM medium containing 5%fe-tal bovine serum.HUVECs were treated with conventional culture,high-fat treatment,and PS-MPs combined with high-fat treatment.The experiment was conducted in the three groups of control group,high-fat treatment group and PS-MPs+high-fat treatment group.CCK-8 assay was used to measure cell viability,F-actin staining was used to observe cell morphological changes,and flow cytometry,scratch assay,and tube formation assay were used to measure the apoptosis,migration,and tube-forming ability of cells.Results:After HUVECs were exposed to the high-fat environment,there was a significant reduction in cell viability,shrinkage of cells,a signifi-cant increase in cell apoptosis,and significant reductions in cell migration and tube-forming ability.Compared with the high-fat treat-ment group,there were no significant changes in cell viability,cell morphology,cell apoptosis,and cell migration ability after PS-MPs combined with high-fat treatment,but the tube-forming ability of cells was further impaired.Conclusion:High-fat treatment will affect cell viability,change cell morphology,and damage vascular endothelial cell function,and PS-MPs combined with high-fat treat-ment can aggravate the damage of vascular endothelial cell function.

Objective To design a mobile personnel radiation protection equipment for operation in environments with high radiation such as spent fuel reprocessing plants, to achieve simultaneous protection against γ radiation, neutron radiation, and radioactive aerosol, to reduce the internal and external exposure dose of radioactive workers, and to meet the requirement of operation for two hours. Methods The core parts of the mobile personnel radiation protection equipment included a shielding chamber and a respiratory maintenance system. An automated chassis was used for the movement and lifting of the shielding chamber. MCNP software was used to simulate and calculate the protective effects of shielding chamber made of different materials and material thicknesses. Experimental verification of the shielding chamber design was conducted. Mathematical models were established to describe the variations in the content of various gases in the chamber with personnel operation time. A respiratory maintenance system, a harmful gas absorption device, and an automated mobile chassis were designed. Results The shielding chamber made of polyethylene with a thickness of 80 mm achieved an 80% neutron shielding rate. The respiratory maintenance system could support workers for 2 hours of operation inside the equipment. The mobile chassis allowed operation of the equipment with one person. Conclusion This mobile personnel radiation protection equipment can solve the problem in simultaneous protection against γ radiation, neutron radiation, and radioactive aerosol. The equipment can provide radiation protection for radioactive workers, reduce exposure dose, and reduce personnel burden. This system provides technical means for the operation and maintenance of equipment in high-radiation sites such as spent fuel reprocessing plants.

Objective:To investigate the effect of subacute exposure of Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate(DEHP)on endometrial decidualization and early pregnancy miscarriage in mice.Methods:CD1 mice were orally administrated with 300(low-dose group),1000(medium-dose group),or 3000 mg·kg-1·d-1 DEHP(1/10 LD50,high-dose group)for 28 days,respectively.An early natural pregnancy model and an artificially induced decidualization model were established.The uterine tissues were collected on D7 of natural pregnancy and D8 of artificially induced decidualization,respectively.The effects of a subacute exposure to DEHP on the decidualization of mice were detected by HE staining,Masson staining,TUNEL assay,and Western blotting.A model of spontaneous abortion was constructed in mice after subacute exposure to 300 mg·kg-1·d-1 DEHP,and the effect of impaired decidualization on pregnancy was investigated by observing the pregnancy outcome on the 10th day of gestation.Results:Compared with the control group,the conception rate was significantly decreased in the high-dose DEHP subacute exposure group(P＜0.05).HE staining showed that,compared with the control group,the decidual stromal cells in the low-and medium-dose exposure groups were disorganized,the nuclei of the cells were irregular,the cytoplasmic staining was uneven,and the number of polymorphonuclear cells was significantly reduced.Masson staining showed that compared with the control group,the collagen fibers in the decidua region of the DEHP low-dose group and the medium-dose group were more distributed,more abundant and more disorderly.TUNEL assay showed increased apoptosis in the decidua area compared to the control group.Western blotting showed that the expression of BMP2,a marker molecule for endometrial decidualization,was significantly reduced(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).The abortion rate and embryo resorption rate were increased,and the number of embryos,uterine wet weight,uterine area and placenta wet weight were decreased in DEHP low-dose group compared to the control group stimulated by mifepristone,an abortifacient drug(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusion:Subacute exposure to DEHP leads to impaired endometrial decidualization during early pregnancy and exacerbates the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes in mice.

Objective To investigate the effects of intrauterine perfusion with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)on the endometrial thickness,volume,and blood flow parameters of patients with thin endometrium and their clinical outcomes.Methods We designed a prospective non-randomized synchronous controlled trial and recruited patients with thin endometrium who underwent frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET)at Mianyang Central Hospital between September 1,2021 and September 1,2023.They were divided into two groups,an experimental group of patients who received the experimental treatment of intrauterine perfusion with G-CSF and a control group of patients who did not receive the experimental treatment.The general data and the clinical outcomes of the two groups were analyzed and compared.The endometrial thickness,volume and blood flow parameters of patients in the experimental group before and after intrauterine perfusion with G-CSF were analyzed.Results The clinical data of 83 patients were included in the study.The experimental group included 51 cases,while the control group included 31 cases.There were no significant differences in the baseline data between the two groups.The clinical pregnancy rate of the experimental group(56.86% )was higher than that of the control group(50.00% )and the rate of spontaneous abortion in the experimental group(27.59% )was lower than that in the control group(37.50% ),but the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the experimental group,the postperfusion endometrial thickness([0.67±0.1]cm)was greater than the preperfusion endometrial thickness([0.59±0.09]cm),the postperfusion([1.84±0.81]cm3)was greater than the preperfusion endometrial volume([1.54±0.69]cm3),and the postperfusion vascularization flow index(VFI)(1.97±2.82)was greater than the preperfusion VFI(0.99±1.04),with all the differences being statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Intrauterine perfusion with G-CSF can enhance the endometrial thickness,volume,and some blood flow parameters in patients with thin endometrium.

ObjectiveTo investigate the mediating role of loneliness and social anxiety in the relationship between basic psychological needs satisfaction and smartphone addiction among high school students， and to provide references for the intervention to smartphone addiction for high school students. MethodsIn April 2022， a total of 14 666 high school students from 5 middle schools in a county of Sichuan Province were included by random sampling method. Basic Psychological Needs Scales （BPNS）， the UCLA Loneliness Scale-3 edition （UCLA-3）， Interaction Anxiousness Scale （IAS） and the Mobile Phone Addiction Index （MPAI） were used for cross-sectional investigation. Bootstrap method was used to analyze the mediating role of loneliness and social anxiety in the relationship between the basic psychological needs satisfaction and smartphone addiction. Results① In this study， 14 036 valid questionnaires were returned， and 1 752 （12.48%， 95% CI： 0.114~0.136） high school students were found to be addicted to smartphone phone. The BPNS score was negatively correlated with UCLA-3， IAS and MPAI scores （r=-0.771， -0.486， -0.417， P<0.01）. And MPAI score was positively correlated with IAS and UCLA-3 scores （r=0.403， 0.424， P<0.01）. IAS score was positively correlated with UCLA-3 score （r=0.458， P<0.01）. ②The degree of basic psychological needs satisfaction in high school students can directly negatively predict smartphone addiction （β=-0.383， P<0.05）， and can also indirectly affect smartphone addiction through loneliness and social anxiety （β=-0.130， P<0.05）. ③Loneliness （indirect effect value was -0.145） and social anxiety （indirect effect value was -0.074） partially mediate between the basic psychological needs satisfaction and smartphone addiction. Loneliness-social anxiety also has significant chain mediating effect （indirect effect value was -0.034）， which accounted for 8.88%. ConclusionThe basic psychological needs satisfaction can not only directly affect the occurrence of smartphone addiction， but also indirectly affect the occurrence of smartphone addiction through the chain mediation of loneliness and social anxiety.

ObjectiveTo clarify the relationship between childhood maltreatment and insomnia in middle school students， and to explore the mediating role of post-traumatic stress disorder （PTSD） symptoms and the moderating role of mental resilience involvement. MethodsFrom April to May 2021， a total of 3 412 students in 3 middle schools in a city in western China were selected using convenient sampling method， and all students were assessed by Childhood Trauma Questionnaire （CTQ）， Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Scale （PCL）， Insomnia Severity Index （ISI） and mental resilience scale. The moderated mediating effect analysis was conducted using Process v3.4. ResultsAmong the middle school students， CTQ scores were positively correlated with PCL and ISI scores （r=0.540， 0.320， P<0.05）， and the scores of CTQ， PCL and ISI were negatively correlated with the score of mental resilience scale （r=-0.049， -0.193， -0.132， P<0.05）. PTSD symptoms exhibited a partial mediating effect on the relationship between general childhood maltreatment and insomnia （β=0.161， P<0.05）， accounting for 80.5% of the total effect. ConclusionAmong the middle school students， the relationship between childhood maltreatment and insomnia is partially mediated via PTSD symptoms， and mental resilience exerts a moderating role between childhood maltreatment and PTSD symptoms.

Scoliosis is one of the common diseases in adolescents. It can rapidly progress during the peak growth period. Scoliosis school screening (SSS) is the main way for early detection and treatment of this disease. The SSS project began in the 1960s and was gradually promoted from the United States to the world. However, some problems were gradually exposed during the implementation of the project, such as the high false positive rate of screening methods, potential radiation damage, the uncertainty of the potency ratio of screening and the lack of evidence-based medical evidence of the effectiveness of high-level conservative treatment, which led to many European and American countries stopping the implementation of SSS. However, with the progress of research related to diagnosis and treatment of scoliosis, based on the latest evidence-based medical evidence assessment, the United States Preventive Medicine Task Force again adjusted the recommendation level of SSS to "no recommendation, no objection" in 2018. In recent years, SSS has gradually received extensive attention from the Chinese government and society. Five national ministries and commissions also issued a document in 2021 to include scoliosis in the monitoring of common diseases among students. However, the implementation of the project should also refer to the effectiveness criteria of disease screening recommended by the World Health Organization. In the future, with the improvement of the accuracy of scoliosis screening methods, the development of multi-mode screening such as artificial intelligence, the emergence of non-radiation detection technology and the improvement of the effectiveness of conservative treatment of mild and moderate scoliosis, the long-term and large-scale implementation of SSS project and the early prevention and control of scoliosis will be possible to truly achieve.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of nimotuzumab in the treatment of advanced head and neck tumors by using meta-analysis.Methods:Randomized controlled trials (RCT) of locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA-HNSCC) treated with nimotuzumab were searched from databases (Cochrane Library, PubMed, Embase, Wanfang Data and CNKI) for meta-analysis. The efficacy evaluation indexes included overall survival, progression-free survival, disease-free survival, objective response rate, and complete response rate. Adverse reactions were analyzed for safety evaluation. The heterogeneity results were evaluated by Chi-square test, the degree of heterogeneity was evaluated by I2, and the literature was statistically analyzed by random effects model. Results:A total of 11 RCT were included, consisting of 1 202 patients (602 in the intervention group and 600 in the control group). Compared with the control group, the overall survival was significantly prolonged, death risk was decreased by 22% ( HR=0.78, 95% CI=0.63-0.95, P=0.014), the progression-free survival was prolonged and the risk of disease progression was declined by 35% ( HR=0.65, 95% CI=0.53-0.81, P<0.01), and the disease-free survival was prolonged and the risk of recurrence was decreased by 29% ( HR=0.71, 95% CI=0.55-0.91, P<0.01), the objective response rate ( RR=1.37, 95% CI=1.20-1.55, P<0.01) and complete response rate ( RR=1.30, 95% CI=1.15-1.46, P<0.01) were significantly improved in the intervention group. In addition, adding nimotuzumab did not increase the incidence of adverse reaction ( RR=0.98, 95% CI=0.93-1.03, P=0.41). Conclusion:Nimotuzumab can significantly prolong long-term survival and improve short-term efficacy with high safety in LA-HNSCC patients.

Objective:To analysis the clinical features and prognosis in oropharyngeal carcinoma with secondary primary tumor. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on 468 pathologically confirmed oropharyngeal cancer as the primary tumor patients with p16 status, excluded distant metastasis, and admitted to the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from January 2010 to December 2020. The clinical features and prognosis of the secondary primary tumor were analyzed. Results:Among 468 patients with oropharyngeal cancer treated at initial diagnosed, 222 cases were P16-negative. With a median follow-up time of 64.3 months, 66 cases developed second primary cancer, with an incidence of 29.3%, among which 63.6%（42/66） were synchronous and 36.4%（24/66） were heterochronous, esophagus was the most commonly involved site. The 5-year OS of p16-negative oropharyngeal carcinoma with synchronous second primary cancer, without second primary cancer and with heterogeneous second primary cancer were 26.3% and 57.3% and 73.2%（P=0.001）; The second primary cancer accounted for 11.2%（12/107） of the deaths in the whole group, among them, the heterochronous second primary accounted for 75.0%（9/12）. There were 246 patients with p16 positive, with a median follow-up time of 52.4 months, 20 patients developed second primary cancer（8.1%）. Among them, 65.0%（13/20） were synchronous and 35.0%（7/20） were heterochronous. Esophagus was the most commonly involved site. The 4-year OS of p16-positive with synchronous, heterochronous and non-second primary cancer group were 51.9%, 80.7% and 83.3%. Secondary primary cancer accounted for 3.8%（2/52） of all deaths in p16 positvie group. Conclusion:The incidence of second primary cancer of p16 positive and negative oropharyngeal carcinoma were different. The esophagus was the most commonly involved site regardless of p16 status. Regardless of p16 status, the survival of patients with synchronous second primary cancer was worse than those without second primary cancer. For p16-negative oropharyngeal carcinoma, the prognosis was better in patients with heterogeneous second primary cancer, the second primary cancer is one of the main causes of death.
