Objective　This study aims to explore the impact of demographic characteristics, sexual behavioral , and epidemiological history on mpox infection among the MSM in Chengdu, providing a theoretical basis for prevention and control of mpox. Methods　A case-control study was conducted, including mpox patients in Chengdu from June 2023 March 2024 as the study group and MSM without mpox as controls, we carried out a retrospective investigation. Basic information, sexual history and behavior, and travel history were obtained for both mpox patients and controls. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to explore the risk factors for mpox infection. Results　In this study, 128 MPXV cases (including 53 HIV individuals) and 151 controls (including 50 HIV individuals) were investigated. The average age of the cases was (32.48±6.67) years, all of whom were male, 101 were single, 100 had a college degree or higher, 60 were business services and self-owned occupations, 89 were homosexual, and 116 reported history of having homosexual behavior; 109 had an average of four or fewer homosexual behavior per month; 48 used condoms usually. The proportion of unmarried and those with a college degree or higher was lower in the monkeypox case group than the control group, while proportion of those with sexually transmitted diseases other than HIV was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Bisexuals or heterosexuality had a higher risk of MPXV compared to homosexuals (OR=4.65), the ones who never use condoms during homosexual activities were at higher risk for monkeypox (OR=3.25). There were no significant differences in epidemiological history between the two groups. Multivariate logistic regression showed that being unaware of other STD infections was negatively associated with MPXV infection, while having other STDs other than HIV, being bisexual or heterosexual sexual behavior were positively associated with MPXV infection. Conclusion　The MSM in Chengdu with concurrent infection with other sexually transmitted diseases other than HIV, bisexual or heterosexual sexual orientation were risk factors for mpox. It is necessary to strengthen health education for the ones at high-risk .Chengdu

OBJECTIVE: To explore the peripheral neural mechanism underlying representation along the distribution of stomach meridian induced by intestinal inflammatory reaction using diarrhea predominant-irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) mice. METHODS: Among 62 healthy male C57BL/6 mice of clean grade, 12 mice were randomly selected and divided into a control group and a model group, 6 mice in each group, additionally, 12 mice were randomly selected and divided into a Tianshu group, a Liangqiu group and a Zusanli group, 4 mice in each group. In the model group, citrobacter was administered orally to establish IBS-D model. In the control group and the model group, the visceral pain threshold was observed using fecal colorectal distension (fCRD) induced electromyography of external oblique muscle, the positive cell number of neutrophil in the colonic muscularis was detected by myeloperoxidase (MPO) staining, the number, location and distribution rule of Evans blue (EB) extravasation points were observed by injection of EB staining solution into the tail vein. In the Tianshu group, the Liangqiu group and the Zusanli group, fluorescent dye Dil was injected at bilateral "Tianshu" (ST25), "Liangqiu" (ST34) and "Zusanli" (ST36) respectively, to observe the dye-positive cell number in different dorsal root ganglion (DRG) segments. In the control group and the model group, the activation of satellite glial cells (SGCs) in different DRG segments was observed by immunofluorescence. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, in the model group, the area under curve of electromyography of external oblique muscle was increased at fCRD of 25, 50 and 75 μL distilled water (P<0.001, P<0.01); the MPO-positive cell number of neutrophil in the colonic muscularis was increased (P<0.01). Few EB extravasation points could be found in the control group, while there were much more EB extravasation points observed in the model group, which was specially distribution in the area of stomach meridian, from "Huaroumen" (ST24) to "Zusanli" (ST36), as well as the surface area dominated by L₂-L₅ segment of the spinal cord. The Dil-positive cells were mainly exhibited in the DRG of T₁₁, L₅ and L₄ segments in the Tianshu group, the Liangqiu group and the Zusanli group, respectively. Compared with the control group, the ratio of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP)/glutamine synthetase (GS) co-expression was increased in the DRG of T₁₁, L₄ and L₅ segments in the model group (P<0.05, P<0.01). CONCLUSION The activation of SGCs within DRG of T₁₁, L₄ and L₅ segments may relate closely to the occurrence of the representation along the stomach meridian distribution in IBS-D mice.

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of the triplet regimen of flumatinib, venetoclax (VEN) and azacitidine (AZA) for Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph +) mixed-phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL). Methods:The clinical data of 2 Ph + MPAL patients treated with triplet regimen of flumatinib, VEN and AZA who were admitted to the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College in February and March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the relevant literature was reviewed. Results:Patient 1 was a 56-year-old female, and patient 2 was a 59-year-old male. Both patients were diagnosed with Ph + B cell/myeloid (B/My) MPAL. After the first course of induction chemotherapy with the triplet regimen, patient 1 achieved hematological complete remission (HCR), complete cytogenetic remission (CCyR) and major molecular response (MMR), and patient 2 achieved HCR and CCyR. During the entire treatment process, the adverse reactions of two patients were mainly fever and ≥ grade 3 hematological adverse reactions, which were relieved after the use of antibiotics and intermittent infusion of blood products. When the patient achieved HCR and received consolidation treatment with the same regimen, the adverse reactions were mild. Conclusions:The triplet regimen of flumatinib, VEN and AZA is safe and effective for the treatment of Ph + MPAL, and is a new induction therapy option for such patients.

Since May 2022, there have been outbreaks of mpox in more than 110 previously non-endemic countries and regions around the world, spreading through sexual contact of men who have sex with men (MSM) and their congregate activities. On June 2, 2023, China reported its first indigenous case of mpox. By November 30, a cumulative total of 1 610 cases had been identified.After the government has carried out a battery of control measures, including monitoring, field investigation, tracking and managing close contacts, and health education and intervention for key populations, the outbreak of mpox in China has been reduced to a lower level since October. However, there are ongoing risks of importation from abroad and persistent local transmission. To achieve the goals of suspending human-to-human transmission, it is necessary to further strengthen the work of case detection, investigation of the transmission chain, identification of potentially exposed persons, and intervention for key populations. Additionally, continuous efforts to guide behavioral change among targeted groups and improve capabilities for multi-channel monitoring are essential.

Objective:To explore the white matter structural characteristics in patients with bipolar disorder(BD)using diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)and investigate their relationship with cognitive function.Methods:A total of 15 patients with BD type Ⅰ and 26 patients with BD type Ⅱ who met the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fourth Edition(DSM-Ⅳ)diagnostic criteria and 37 normal controls were included.Cognitive function was assessed with the Trail Making Test(TMT)and Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsy-chological Status(RBANS).The tract-based spatial statistics(TBSS)method was used to explore the differences in fractional anisotropy(FA)and mean diffusivity(MD)among the three groups and perform correlation analyses with cognitive function.Results:Patients with BD Ⅰ and BD Ⅱ had lower scores in attention(P＜0.001),delayed memory(P＜0.01),and total scores(P＜0.001)on the RBANS compared to the normal control group.They also exhibited lower FA values in the corpus callosum and right superior corona radiata compared to the normal control group(P＜0.05).In the BD Ⅰ group,there was a positive correlation between FA values in the genu of corpus cal-losum and visuospatial/constructional scores(r=0.74,P＜0.05),while in the BD Ⅱ group,a positive correlation was found between FA values in the same region and language function scores(r=0.55,P＜0.05).Conclusion:It suggests that patients with bipolar disorder may have impaired white matter integrity in the corpus callosum and right superior corona radiata,which may be associated with cognitive impairment.

【Objective】 To explore the status and characteristics of voluntary blood donors in rural areas of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture (referred as Dali), and to provide basis for scientific and effective voluntary blood donation in rural population in regions inhabited by ethnic groups. 【Methods】 The data of rural blood donors who donated blood in Dali from 2010 to 2019 were collected, including demographic data as nationality, gender, age, educational background, as well as the blood donation frequency and blood infection screening (index) results. The above data of urban blood donors who donated blood in Dali during the same period were selected to investigate the increasing trend of blood donation rate. SPSS26.0 was used for statistical analysis of the collected data of rural and urban blood donation population. 【Results】 From 2010 to 2019,the number of blood donors in Dali increased from 13 949 to 19 479,with an increasing rate of 39.64%. The number of rural blood donors increased from 2 623 to 8 727,among which the number of ethnic minority groups increased from 1 779 to 5 059.The ratio of male to female blood donors was 70.30% (1 844/2 623) vs 29.70% (779/2 623) in 2010,56.37% (4 919/8 727) vs 43.63%(3 808/8 727) in 2019. Those with educational level of junior middle school or below were the most, accounted for 43.97%(38 443/85 836),with ethnic donors of 24.47%(23 583/85 836). The proportion of donors aged between 36 and 45 was the highest[40.73% (30 477/74 827) ], with ethnic donors of [28.56% (21 374/74 827), and the proportion of repeated blood donors was 54.87%(35 279/64 299),with ethnic donors of 49.89%(18 080/36 240) [the proportion of repeated blood donors in urban donors in the same period was 48.13% (55 677/115 675) ] (P<0.01). The unqualified rate of ALT was the highest [1.21%(1 272/105 489) ] [The unqualified rate in local donors was 1.99%(3 837/192 552) ] (P<0.01), and that of the ethnic donors was 1.51%(358/56 718). There was no significant difference in the unqualified rates of HB-sAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV and anti-TP among urban and rural blood donors (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 It is of great significance to explore the characteristics of blood donors in rural areas (especially regions inhabited by ethnic groups) and the reasons for disqualification, in order to scientifically carry out the recruitment of voluntary blood donors and further promote blood donation for rural residents

[摘 要] 目的：探讨表皮生长因子受体（epidermal growth factor receptor，EGFR）基因突变与非小细胞肺癌（non-small cell lung cancer，NSCLC）伴脑转移患者预后的相关性，为改善NSCLC合并脑转移患者预后、指导个体化治疗提供临床依据。方法：回顾性分析福建省立医院2013年1月1日至2018年9月30日期间收治的88例NSCLC合并脑转移患者的临床资料，随访取得患者的死亡时间，随访截止日期为2019年10月31日。收集和分析的临床资料包括性别、年龄、吸烟史、病理类型、基因检测、治疗情况、无进展生存期（progression free survival，PFS）、总生存期（overall survival，OS）等。运用生存分析（Kaplan-Meier生存时间曲线）评价EGFR突变型患者的预后，以单因素分析（log-rank检验）预测影响EGFR-TKI治疗效果的因素。结果：88例NSCLC脑转移患者有57例为EGFR突变型，其中位PFS（MPFS）为13.0个月（95%CI：11.951~14.049），明显高于EGFR野生型患者（P=0.003），患者中位生存期（median survival time，MST）为29.0个月（95%CI：20.531~37.468），明显高于EGFR野生型（P=0.001）。EGFR突变型中，Exon19-del突变组患者较Exon21 L858R突变组患者OS有延长趋势（P=0.05），Exon19-del+Exon20T790M突变组患者OS较Exon21 L858R突变组有延长趋势（P=0.077）。结论：EGFR突变组较野生型组NSCLC脑转移患者预后相对好些，且携带19外显子单一缺失突变的患者预后最好。

Objective To observe the intervention effect of vitamin C (Vit C) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) on myocardial fibrosis in rats.Methods Forty male SD rats were selected,body weight were 125-140 g,and they were divided into 8 groups according to body weight using a random number table method.Four rats for control group,3 rats for model group,6 rats for Vit C early group,6 rats for ATP early group,6 rats for Vit C + ATP early group,5 rats for Vit C late group,5 rats for ATP late group,and 5 rats for Vit C + ATP late group.Rats in model group and these intervention groups were induced with doxorubicin (2 mg/kg each week) for 6 weeks,and control group was given the same amount of normal saline.All early groups were intragastrically administered with Vit C (200 mg·kg-1·d-1),ATP (45 mg·kg-1·d-1) and Vit C + ATP (200 mg·kg-1·d-1 + 45 mg·kg-1 ·d-1) in the fourth week;these late groups were intragastrically administered with the same dose in the sixth week;each group was continuously administered for 21 days.Three days after the last intervention,cardiac ultrasonography was performed in all surviving rats,and left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD),left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD),left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),and left ventricular fractional shortening (LVFS) were recorded.The rats were sacrificed and the hearts were taken.HE staining and Masson staining were used to observe the pathological changes of myocardial tissue and the collagen volume fraction (CVF) was calculate.Serum cardiac troponin Ⅰ (CTn-Ⅰ) and type Ⅰ procollagen amino terminal peptide (PINP) levels were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results Compared with control group [(3.65 ± 0.25) mm,(80.63 ± 3.03)％,(43.57 ± 2.54)％],LVESD [(5.07 ± 0.58),(4.06 ± 0.68),(4.71 ± 0.43),(4.87 ± 0.44),(4.79 ± 0.59),(5.07 ± 0.62),(4.97 ± 0.29) mm] of model group and each intervention groups were increased,LVEF [(62.17 ± 4.92)％,(71.28 ± 3.54)％,(65.03 ± 3.35)％,(59.81 ± 2.45)％,(60.42 ± 9.22)％,(60.15 ± 3.06)％,(60.65 ± 2.05)％],and LVFS [(30.05 ± 2.95)％,(36.44 ± 2.90)％,(31.63 ± 2.15)％,(26.95 ± 1.05)％,(28.35 ± 6.84)％,(27.79 ± 2.41)％,(28.38 ± 1.42)％] were decreased (P ＜ 0.05);compared with model group,LVESD was decreased,LVEF and LVFS were increased in Vit C early group (P ＜ 0.05).HE staining showed that the myocardial pathology of each early group improved to different degrees,such as cardiomyocyte degeneration,necrosis and fibrosis,inflammatory cell infiltration,moderate degree of interstitial edema,Vit C early group and Vit C + ATP early group were more pronounced.Masson staining showed significant improvement in fibrosis in the Vit C early group and Vit C + ATP early group,and collagen fibers were significantly reduced.Compared with the control group [(0.52 ± 0.14)％],the CVF [(27.11 ± 5.05)％,(9.80 ± 1.84)％,(16.55 ± 2.21)％,(5.06 ± 1.45)％,(12.11 ± 2.12)％,(15.71 ± 1.56)％,(16.93 ± 2.76)％] of myocardial tissue in model group and each intervention groups were significantly increased (P ＜ 0.05).There were no significant differences in CTn-Ⅰ and PINP levels between the eight groups (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Vit C can reduce myocardial fibrosis and improve cardiac function in the early stage.The effect of ATP alone to improve fibrosis is not obvious.

Heart failure is the leading cause of death in cardiovascular diseases.Despite effectiveness of current clinical treatment,it is not satisfactory in general,so more effective and optimal therapies are under seeking.All available evidences show that cardiac muscles have limited regenerative capacity in adult mammals,while some vertebrates,such as zebrafish and salamander,can completely recover through perfect regeneration following myocardial injury.In-depth investigation into underlying mechanism may facilitate the development of human heart's potential of scarless healing.In this review paper,we summarized recent progresses in distinct cardiac regenerative capacity and their main influencing factors of several model animals through comparative analysis.

The mitochondrial quality control system maintains mitochondrial homeostasis mainly through protein degradation, vesicle transport, and mitophagy. Mitochondrial biosynthesis, dynamics, and calcium ion play key regulative roles in mitochondrial quality control. Under normal conditions, the mitochondrial quality control system can work well. In recent years, studies have found that mitochondrial dysfunction is closely associated with the occurrence of heart failure. In order to understand mitochondrial function, this paper reviews mitochondrial quality control methods, regulatory factors and their potential therapeutic applications in heart failure.
