Objective:To study the distribution of TCM constitutions in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients.Methods:This is a multicenter cross-sectional study. The general clinical data, dialysis-related parameters and physical and chemical examination data of MHD patients from 6 dialysis centers in Sichuan were collected. At the same time, DS01-A tongue and facial pulse information collection system was used for TCM constitution discrimination.Results:A total of 232 MHD patients were enrolled , and 417 kinds of TCM constitutions were detected, including 59 patients (25.43%) with moderate constitution and 173 patients (74.57%) with biased constitution. Phlegm-dampness was the most common type of solid constitution 47 patients (20.26%). The most common deficiency constitution was qi deficiency 86 patients (37.07%). There were certain differences in the physical distribution of patients with different gender, age, dialysis age, BMI, and whether they had diabetes, hypertension or anemia.Conclusions:The TCM constitutions of MHD patients are mainly biased constitution. Gender, age, BMI, diabetes or hypertension have a certain impact on the distribution of TCM constitutions. At the same time, different constitutions may have an impact on the anemia of MHD patients. The intervention of TCM constitutions on MHD patients may be beneficial to the prognosis of MHD patients.

Objective To investigate changes in the urinary metabolite profiles of children exposed to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)during critical brain development and explore their potential link with the intestinal microbiota. Methods Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was used to determine ten hydroxyl metabolites of PAHs(OH-PAHs)in 36-month-old children.Subsequently,37 children were categorized into low-and high-exposure groups based on the sum of the ten OH-PAHs.Ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used to identify non-targeted metabolites in the urine samples.Furthermore,fecal flora abundance was assessed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing using Illumina MiSeq. Results The concentrations of 21 metabolites were significantly higher in the high exposure group than in the low exposure group(variable importance for projection>1,P<0.05).Most of these metabolites were positively correlated with the hydroxyl metabolites of naphthalene,fluorine,and phenanthrene(r=0.336-0.531).The identified differential metabolites primarily belonged to pathways associated with inflammation or proinflammatory states,including amino acid,lipid,and nucleotide metabolism.Additionally,these distinct metabolites were significantly associated with specific intestinal flora abundances(r=0.34-0.55),which were mainly involved in neurodevelopment. Conclusion Higher PAH exposure in young children affected metabolic homeostasis,particularly that of certain gut microbiota-derived metabolites.Further investigation is needed to explore the potential influence of PAHs on the gut microbiota and their possible association with neurodevelopmental outcomes.

As a new type of carbon-based nano-fluorescent material,carbon dots have many advantages such as excellent optical properties,good biocompatibility,low toxicity and easy surface functionalization. Fluorescent sensors based on carbon dots have attracted wide attention in detection of heavy metal ions. This article first introduced the commonly used methods for synthesizing carbon dots,and then elaborated on the possible mechanism of carbon dots-based fluorescence sensors for detecting heavy metal ions,including static quenching effect,dynamic quenching effect,fluorescence resonance energy transfer,internal filtering effect,photo induced electron transfer,etc. Then,it focused on the research status of carbon dots-based fluorescence sensors in detection of heavy metal ions such as Fe3+,Fe2+,Cu2+,Cd2+,Pb2+,Cr6+,Au3+and Hg2+,etc,both domestically and internationally. Finally,the further research directions in this field was pointed out.

Objective:To construct a whole-course and multidisciplinary nutrition management program for ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.Methods:The related literatures published in the domestic and foreign journals were searched for drafting the first draft of the whole-course and multidisciplinary nutrition management program.Between May and July,2022,the Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of expert consultations to 16 experts,and the analytic hierarchy process method was used to determine the weight of indicators at all levels.According to the experts'comments and suggestions,the draft was revised to formulate the final one.Results:In two rounds of Delphi expert consultations,expert positive coefficients were both 100％(16/16),and expert authority coefficients were both 0.933.The Kendall's coordination coefficients were 0.257 and 0.520,respectively(P＜0.001).Finally,6 first-level indicators,24 second-level indicators and 34 third-level indicators were determined in the final nutritional management program.Conclusions:Through literature research and semi-structured interviews,we develop a whole-course and multidisciplinary nutrition management program for ovarian cancer patients with chemotherapy.The program is reliable and clinically practical,and can be used for nutrition management of ovarian cancer patients in clinical practice.

1-Deoxy-D-xylulose-5-phosphate synthase (DXS), the first key enzyme in 2-methyl-D-erythritol-4-phosphate (MEP) pathway, catalyzes the condensation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate with pyruvate to 1-deoxy-xylose-5-phosphate (DXP). In this study, PgDXS1, PgDXS2, and PgDXS3 genes were cloned from the root of Platycodon grandiflorum (P. grandiflorum). The open reading frame (ORF) of PgDXS1, PgDXS2, and PgDXS3 were 2 160, 2 208, and 2 151 bp in full length, encoding 719, 735, and 716 amino acids, respectively. Homologous alignment results showed a high identity of PgDXSs with DXS in Hevea brasiliensis, Datura stramonium and Stevia rebaudiana. The recombinant expression plasmids of pET-28a-PgDXSs were constructed and transformed into Escherichia coli (E. coli) BL21 (DE3) cells, and the induced proteins were successfully expressed. Subcellular localization results showed that PgDXS1 and PgDXS2 were mainly located in chloroplasts, and PgDXS3 was located in chloroplasts, nucleus and cytoplasm. The expression of three DXS genes in different tissues of two producing areas of P. grandiflorum were assayed via real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, and the results showed that all of them were highly expressed in leaves of P. grandiflorum from Taihe. Under methyl jasmonate (MeJA) treatment, the expression levels of three PgDXS genes showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing at different time points (3 - 48 h), and the activity of DXS showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing in three tissues of P. grandiflorum. This study provides a reference for further elucidating the biological function of PgDXS in terpenoid synthesis pathway in P. grandiflorum.

Abstract: Objective　To explore the spatial epidemiological characteristics of severe cases hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Guangxi, China, from 2014 to 2018, and to provide a basis for identifying the high-risk regions as well as the prevention and control of severe cases of HFMD in Guangxi. Methods　Spatial-temporal scanning analysis, global and local spatial autocorrelation analysis were used to analyze the spatial clustering of HFMD. The trend surface analysis was used to evaluate the spatial distribution trend of HFMD. Results　From 2014 to 2018, the incidence and severe case fatality rates of HFMD were 3.89/100 000 and 4.23%, respectively. Monte Carlo scanning analysis showed that the first cluster region was Cenxi City, the second cluster was mainly concentrated in northwest of Guangxi, and the aggregation time was mainly concentrated in April to May and August to October. The global spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the severe HFMD was significant clustering distribution, and the Moran's I coefficients of the sever cases, severe morbidity and severe case fatality rate were 0.088, 0.118, 0.197, respectively (P<0.05). Local spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that hotspots of severe HFMD cases were concentrated in the southern Guangxi, mainly in Lingshan County. Anselin local Moran's I clustering and outlier analysis indicated that 5 high-high (H-H) clustering regions for fatality were Lingshan, Pubei, Zhongshan, Zhaoping and Pinggui County. There were 6 high-high (H-H) clustering regions for severe incidence rate, namely Lingshan, Qinnan, Lingyun, Youjiang, Bama Yao Autonomous and Pinggui County, and 1 high-low (H-L) clustering region, Cenxi County. The trend surface analysis showed that the overall number of severe cases of death decreased from east or west to the middle, and increased from north to middle, and then decreased to south. Conclusions　Severe HFMD cases in Guangxi have obvious spatial-temporal clustering, and the hop spots are mainly concentrated in southern Guangxi. The prevention and control of HFMD in areas with high incidence of severe cases should be strengthened to reduce the burden of HFMD cases.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical characteristics, treatment and prognosis of intestinal acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in children and futher evaluate the occurring risk factors. METHODS: The clinical data of 136 patients undergoing allo-HSCT in Wuhan Children's Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College from August 2016 to August 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, clinical characteristics of children with intestinal aGVHD were observed. The risk factors of intestinal aGVHD were assessed by logistic regression while cumulative survival were analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method. RESULTS: Among 136 patients intestinal aGVHD occurred in 24 (17.6%) cases, with 4 cases of grade II, 20 cases of grade III-IV, and the median occurrence time was 28(10-63) days. The clinical manifestations were diarrhea with intermittent abdominal pain, 17 cases with nausea and vomiting, 11 cases with fresh bloody stool, and 8 cases with skin rash before intestinal aGVHD. The average time for treatment was 33(11-100) days. 18 cases received electronic colonoscopy and histopathology examination. 20 out of 24 cases achieved remission after treatment, and the total effective rate was 83.3%. Finally, 9 out of 24 cases died during the follow-up time. Survival analysis showed that the cumulative survival rate of patients with intestinal aGVHD (15/24, 62.5%) were significantly lower than those without intestinal aGVHD (101/112, 90.2%) (Log-rank test, P=0.001). Univariate analysis showed that recipient age, sex, primary disease, donor age, donor sex, donor-recipient blood type, conditioning regimen, prophylaxis of GVHD, dosage of ATG, engraft time of blood platelet and neutrophils, and number of MNC/CD34+ were not risk factors for intestinal aGVHD (P>0.05). Only the type of HSCT (χ2=16.020, P=0.001) and matched degree of HLA (χ2=15.502, P=0.001) had statistical significance with intestinal aGVHD (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that only HLA-mismatched unrelated donor was the risk factor for intestinal aGVHD for children (P=0.014，OR=16，95%CI 1.735-147.543). CONCLUSION Intestinal aGVHD is a risk factor for cumulative survial of patients who received allo-HSCT in children and HLA-mismatched unrelated donor is its independent risk factor.

【Objective】 To investigate the main causes of blood donor deferral in domestic blood center. 【Methods】 The causes of donor deferral were classified into 12 categories as previous medical history, drug use, alcohol consumption, menstrual period, underweight, abnormal blood pressure, abnormal body temperature, abnormal hemoglobin (Hb), lipemic blood, positive hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and others according to the comparison indicators of Asia-Pacific Blood Network (APBN) and the national standard Blood Donor Health Examination Requirements. The relevant data of the top 3 causes of donor deferral, voluntarily reported by the members of Practice Comparison Working Group of China’s Mainland Blood Collection and Supply Institutions from 2014 to 2019, were collected and a histogram was generated. 【Results】 The median donor deferral rate of 20 domestic blood centers from 2014 to 2019 was 12.14%, with the lowest at 0.18% and highest at 32.32%, respectively. The top three causes for donor deferral were elevated ALT, abnormal Hb and abnormal blood pressure in year 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019; elevated ALT, lipemic blood and abnormal blood pressure in 2016; elevated ALT, abnormal Hb, and lipemic blood in 2017. 【Conclusion】 The main causes of donor deferral were elevated ALT, abnormal Hb, abnormal blood pressure and lipemic blood.
