Objective: To investigate the association between uric acid level and elevated blood pressure among children and adolescents in Guangzhou, so as to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control of hypertension in the pediatric population. Methods: From March to December 2019, using stratified cluster random sampling, 3 626 children and adolescents aged 6-17 years without elevated blood pressure at baseline were recruited from 6 primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou. Serum uric acid levels were measured at baseline, and divided into four groups ( Q1-Q 4) based on age and sex specific quartiles for analyses. Two waves of follow up were carried out from October 2020 to May 2021 and from October 2021 to May 2022, respectively. Multilevel robust Poisson regression was used to evaluate the association between uric acid level and elevated blood pressure among children and adolescents. The additive interaction between high uric acid level and sugar sweetened beverage (SSB) intake on elevated blood pressure was assessed by stratification analysis and calculation of the relative excess risk due to interaction (RERI). Results: A total of 1 131 new cases of elevated blood pressure were identified during the two follow ups, with an incidence density of 130.5 cases 1 000 person years. Multilevel robust Poisson regression analysis showed that after adjusting for confounders such as gender, age and annual family income, compared with those in the uric acid Q 1 level, the risk of elevated blood pressure in individuals in the Q 4 level increased by 25% ( RR=1.25, 95%CI =1.08-1.44), and the risk of elevated systolic blood pressure increased by 20% ( RR=1.20, 95%CI =1.05-1.36) (both P <0.05); no statistical association was observed between uric acid and elevated diastolic blood pressure (all P >0.05). In the stratified analysis, the statistical associations of uric acid Q 4 level with elevated blood pressure ( RR=1.34, 95%CI =1.13-1.58) and elevated systolic blood pressure ( RR=1.33, 95%CI =1.14-1.55) were only observed in the group with SSB intake ≥ 250 mL/week (both P <0.05). The RERI values for the effect of uric acid Q 4 and Q 3 levels with SSB intake ≥ 250 mL/week on elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressure were 0.29 and 0.44 (both P <0.05). Conclusions High uric acid level is a risk factor for elevated blood pressure among children and adolescents, with a predominant effect on systolic blood pressure. High uric acid level and SSB intake synergistically promote the increase of blood pressure of children and adolescents.

Objective To investigate the effects of cyclic stretch on migration of MC3T3-E1 cells and its related mechanism. Methods The strain loading system was used to stretch MC3T3-E1 cells cultured in vitro with 15% amplitude, to simulate the mechanical condition in vivo. The wound healing assay was used to detect the migration of MC3T3-E1 cells. Western blotting was used to test Runx2 expression. RNA interfering was used to decrease Runx2 expression. Results Cyclic mechanical stretch with 15% amplitude, 1.25 Hz frequency and lasting for 24 hours could promote the migration of MC3T3-E1 cells and increase the expression level of Runx2. Runx2 interference inhibited the migration of MC3T3-E1 cells in static culture condition. Interference with Runx2 expression in MC3T3-E1 cells could partially reduce the positive effect of cyclic mechanical stretch on cell migration. Conclusions Cyclic stretch can promote the migration of MC3T3-E1 cells, and Runx2 may play an important role in this process. This study provides experimental basis for finding innovative clinical treatment method to promote fracture healing.

Objective: ICMM occupational health risk assessment model was be used to evaluate the risk of a lead-acid battery enterprise. Methods: In November 2016, a lead-acid battery company in Jiangsu Province was selected as the research object. Based on the occupational health survey data and occupational hazard assessment reports, the ICMM risk assessment model was used to conduct occupational health risks in eight key positions of a lead-acid battery enterprise. The risk assessment results was verified by actual test results. Results: In the quantitative assessment model, the occupational health risk assessment results for the castings and welding positions exposed to lead smoke, and the occupational health risk assessment results for the grinding and dividing positions exposed to lead dust existed unacceptable risks. The occupational health risk assessment results for the ball-milled and plated positions exposed to lead dust existed tolerable risks. The occupational health risk assessment results for the lead-plated and soldered positions exposed to sulphuric acid pastes and acids existed potential risks. In qualitative evaluation matrix method, the occupational health risk assessment results for the castings and welding positions exposed to lead smoke, and the occupational health risk assessment results for the grinding and dividing positions exposed to lead dust existed high risks, the occupational health risk assessment results for other four key positions were considered to be with low risks. Conclusion The key control points for lead smoke in this enterprise were castings and welding positions; The key control points for lead dust were the grinding and separating brush positions. The quantitative assessment model and the qualitative assessment matrix method in the ICMM model were consistent with the actual test results in the eight health risk assessments of occupational hazards in key positions. Therefore, the method could be applied to the assessment of occupational health risks of the lead-acid battery enterprise. According to the results of the assessment, improvements could be made to high-risk positions and the concentration of occupational hazards in high-risk posts could be reduced to better protect the health of workers.

Objective: To investigate the antimicrobial resistance status and pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) patterns of Salmonella enteritidis (S.enteritidis) in Shanxi Province in order to provide references for the treatment of Salmonella infection and for tracing the source of outbreaks of foodborne diseases. Methods: Sixty-four S. enteritidis strains were collected by monitoring sites for foodborne diseases from April 2015 to March 2018. Biochemical identification system and serotyping analysis were used for bacterial identification. Drug susceptibility patterns were analyzed with micro-broth dilution method. PFGE was used for molecular typing. Results: The antimicrobial resistance rate of 64 S. enteritidis strains to nalidixic acid (95.31%) was the highest, followed by that to ampicillin (90.63%) and to ampicillin/sulbactam (81.25%). They had lower resistance rates to cefazolin, cefotaxime, tetracycline, ceftazidime, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxzole and ciprofloxacin (3.13%-23.44%) and were all sensitive to chloramphenicol, cefotaxime, azithromycin, imipenem and gentamicin. No statistically significant difference in drug resistance rates was found between the sporadic strains and the outbreak strains (P>0.05). All 64 S. enteritidis strains digested with XbaⅠwere divided into 33 molecular patterns by PFGE. The numbers of bacteria contained in each pattern ranged from 1 to 10 strains. The similarity among patterns was between 54.6% and 100%. Conclusion More attention should be paid to the drug resistance status of S. enteritidis in Shanxi Province. It is necessary to strengthen the standardized administration of antibiotics. The PFGE patterns of S. enteritidis reveal the presence of significant genetic polymorphism. PFGE is of great significance in analyzing the genetic relationship among S. enteritidis strains and in identifying and tracing the source of outbreaks of foodborne diseases.

Objective To explore the mechanism of cell apoptosis of immortalized human keratinocytes (HaCaT cells) and protein expression related to this process after long term exposure to sodium arsenite (NaAsO2,1.0 μmol/L).Methods Malignant transformation model was set up through long-term exposure of HaCaT cells to 1.0 μmol/L NaAsO2.Cell passage for 0,1,7,14,21,28 and 35 generations in the process of malignant transformation were collected for measurement of cell apoptosis rate by flow cytometry,and apoptosis related proteins by Western blotting,including activation of cysteine protease 3,8 (cleaved-caspase-3,8),C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP),B-cell leukemia/lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2),and Bcl-2 associated X protein (Bax).Results Along with the arsenite treatment,the apoptosis levels were significantly decreased (F =26.770,all P ＜ 0.05),the apoptosis levels (0.307 ± 0.049,0.213 ± 0.055,0.163 ± 0.057,0.147 ± 0.035,0.053 ± 0.012) of the 7th,14th,21st,28th and 35thgenerations of cells after arsenite treatment were lower than that of control group of the 0th generation (0.393 ±0.021,all P ＜ 0.05).Compared between generations,there were statistical differences of the protein expression levels of cleaved-caspase-3,Chop,Bax and Bcl-2 in arsenite group (cleaved-caspase-3:1.000 ± 0.000,1.030 ± 0.027,1.104 ± 0.069,1.016 ± 0.087,0.838 ± 0.075,0.753 ± 0.082,0.677 ± 0.073;Chop:1.000 ± 0.000,1.059 ± 0.018,0.934 ± 0.095,0.976 ± 0.216,0.793 ± 0.136,0.651 ± 0.042,0.564 ± 0.056;Bax:1.000 ± 0.000,1.069 ± 0.037,1.028 ± 0.042,0.954 ± 0.118,0.641 ± 0.135,0.531 ± 0.132,0.429 ± 0.085;Bcl-2:1.000 ± 0.000,1.072 ± 0.023,1.249 ± 0.134,1.334 ± 0.143,1.633 ± 0.221,1.507 ± 0.152,1.461 ± 0.145,F =7.730,7.355,27.802,12.438,all P ＜ 0.05),compared with control group of the 0th generation (1.000 ± 0.000) and the same generation control group (1.000 ± 0.000),after the 21st generation,the differences were statistically significant (all P ＜ 0.05),while there was no difference of the protein expression levels of cleaved-caspase-8 (F =0.832,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion In the process of malignant transformation,the apoptosis levels of HaCaT cells are inhibited after long term sodium arsenite exposure through mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress signaling pathways.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the operation method and characteristic of correcting upper eyelid depression by transposition of orbital septum fat.

METHODSDuring the double eyelid surgery, we set.the lateral orbital septum fat completely free, while the bottom is still connected with the middle orbital septum fat. We separate a tunnel from the middle to the inner side in orbital septum, and the separated orbital septum fat is transposed to the inner side of orbital septum by the tunnel with suturing fixation.

RESULTSFrom March 2008 to October 2013, 51 cases with upper eyelid depression were treated successfully. Patients were followed up for 3 months to 3 years (average, 7. 5 months) with sustained aesthetic results.

CONCLUSIONSOrbital septum fat transposition can successfully correct the upper eyelid depression. It should become a regular procedure in blepharoplasty.

Objective:To evaluate the application of three‐dimensional(3D) rotational digital subtraction angiography(DSA) and three‐dimensional reconstruction technique in the interventional treatment of visceral artery aneurysm .Methods:A total of 25 patients with visceral artery aneurysm ,who underwent 3D rotational DSA and reconstruction before the interventional embolization treatment in the Department of Interventional Radiology ,Zhongshan Hospital ,Fudan University during Jan 2007 and Aug 2015 ,were selected .3D rotational DSA and reconstruction was performed by using Siemens Artis DTA or Philips Allura F20 DSA equipment ,and the results were compared with that of conventional 2D DSA .Results:There were 8 hepatic artery aneurysms ,10 splenic artery aneurysms ,3 renal artery aneurysms ,3 gastroduodenal artery aneurysms ,and 1 inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysm among the 25 patients .The 3D rotational DSA procedures were successful in all patients , and the success rate was 100% .Anatomical morphology including the diameter ,neck and cavity of aneurysm was exhaustively demonstrated .A total of 30 aneurysms were diagnosed by 3D rotational DSA among the 25 patients .Among the 30 aneuryms , only 27 aneurysms were confirmed by conventional 2D DSA ,and the aneurysm necks of 15 aneurysms were not exhaustively demonstrated due to the anatomical overlapping of the large aneurysm cavity , or the vessel tortuosity . Conclusions: As compared to the conventional 2D DSA ,the 3D rotational DSA and reconstruction can demonstrate anatomical information of visceral artery aneurysms more precisely , especially the aneurysm neck , so as to provide more precise images for the interventional diagnosis and treatment .

Objective To investigate the value of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) detection in preliminary diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The levels and variations of IMA,cTnI and CK-MB in 103 patients with acute chest pain were measured continuously at 0,4,6,12,24 hours after admission respectively.Thirty healthy subjects were observed as normal controls.Results Twenty three patients were diagnosed as AMI in the end,the sensitivity and specificity rates right after admission were 89.3％ and91.3％ for IMA,48.4％ and 92.3％ for CK-MB,30.6％ and 93.7％ for cTnI respectively.The sensitivity values at the 6th hours after admission were 91.3％ for IMA,52.2％ for CTnI and 34.8％ for CK-MB respectively.The specificity was 100.0％ when the IMA was detected in combination with CK-MB or cTnI.The sensitivity of co-detection was significantly higher than that any single detection at sixth hours after admission (x2 =15.99,P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusion Plasma IMA assessment is helpful for early diagnosis of AMI,and will significantly improve the sensitivity early diagnosis of AMI.The co-detection of IMA and CK-MB or cTnI obviously surpasses any single detection,and has extremely vital clinical significance.
