1.Association of personality and sleep quality with psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents
Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(1):65-69
Objective:
To explore the effects of personality and sleep quality with psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents, so as to provide a reference basis for precise interventions of junior and senior high school students mental health.
Methods:
In October 2023, a convenience sampling method was used to select 9 034 students aged 12-17 from Shiyan City as the study subjects. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10) were used to collect information on sleep quality and psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents. Between group comparison was conducted by using t-test and Chi-square test. Generalized linear models were employed to analyze the interaction and joint effects of personality and sleep quality on psychological distress.
Results:
The generalized linear model analysis showed that the interaction between personality and sleep quality on psychological distress was statistically significant of junior and senior high school students(effect size=0.80, P <0.01). The general linear model analysis indicated that, after adjusting for variables such as age, gender, screen time, and daily sitting time with the extroverted and good sleep quality group as the reference, the introverted and poor sleep quality group had the largest mean difference in psychological distress scores (difference=0.51, P <0.05). When stratified by sleep quality, psychological distress scores were higher in the introverted and neutral personality groups with both poor and good sleep quality compared to the extroverted group (poor sleep quality: introverted difference=3.71, neutral difference=1.14; good sleep quality: introverted difference=2.23, neutral difference=0.57, all P < 0.05). When stratified by personality, psychological distress scores were higher in the poor sleep quality groups for introverted, neutral, and extroverted individuals compared to their good sleep quality counterparts (differences=8.66, 7.83, 7.34, all P < 0.05 ).
Conclusions
Personality and sleep quality have interactive and joint effects on psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents. Personalized psychological interventions should be developed based on personality and sleep quality.

OBJECTIVE To explore the risk evaluation of healthcare workers contracting tuberculosis in a designated three-A tuberculosis hospital in Guangxi based on the failure mode and effect analysis(FMEA)method.METHODS A designated three-A tuberculosis hospital in Guangxi was selected.Healthcare workers from Jan.1,2023 to Dec.31,2023 served as the control group and received routine management,i.e.,implementing various tuberculosis prevention and control measures according to current guidelines.Healthcare workers from Jan.1,2024 to Dec.31,2024 served as the experimental group and were managed by the FMEA method.High-risk fac-tors were screened through the FMEA method, and targeted intervention strategies were formulated to priori-tize intervention for high-risk events. The incidence rate of tuberculosis among healthcare workers and the imple-mentation rate of tuberculosis infection prevention and control measures before and after FMEA intervention were compared.RESULTS The six high-risk events screened were improper use of surgical masks by patients,inade-quate respiratory hygiene practices, improper use of medical protective masks by healthcare workers, lack of full process isolation management for tuberculosis patients, unreasonable sputum collection areas and improper venti-lation and air disinfection measure setting or maintenance. After implementing a series of tuberculosis prevention and control measures, the incidence rate of tuberculosis infection among healthcare workers decreased from 1.63%before FMEA intervention to 0.30%(P=0.021).The implementation rate of tuberculosis infection prevention and control measures increased from 69.95%to 73.61%(P=0.003).CONCLUSIONS Risk evaluation based on the FMEA method can identify weaknesses in tuberculosis infection prevention among healthcare workers in desig-nated tuberculosis hospitals.Implementing multiple measures simultaneously can effectively reduce the incidence rate of tuberculosis among healthcare workers, ensure occupational safety, improve the implementation rate of tu-berculosis infection prevention and control measures and achieve scientific and precise prevention and control.

Drying is one of the most common unit operations in the production of traditional Chinese medicine. The drying process of traditional Chinese medicine materials is accompanied by the dynamic reduction of water content. As a key index to determine the end of the drying process, the moisture content of materials plays an important role in improving drying efficiency and saving energy. Recently, the drying process of traditional Chinese medicine is mostly monitored by offline detection, and there are few reports of online moisture detection applications. In this paper, the principle and current application of online inspection technology for the material drying process in different fields were introduced. The significance of online detection technology in drying of traditional Chinese medicine was also analyzed. Meanwhile, the application prospect of online detection technology in the field of drying of traditional Chinese medicine was predicted. In response to urgent transformation and upgrading of the traditional Chinese medicine manufacturing industry, the application of online moisture detection technology is expected to be a key breakthrough in the intelligent upgrading of traditional Chinese medicine drying technology and equipment.

Objective To investigate the effect of isolated carotid sinus perfusion with propofol on plasma endothelin and nitric oxide levels in diabetic rats. Methods Healthy adult Wistar rats weighing 180-220 g were used in this study.Diabetes mellitus was induced by intraperitoneal streptozotocin 30 mg/kg and confirmed by blood glucose ≥ 16.7 mmol/L.Thirty-six rats in which diabetes mellitus model was successfully established were randomly divided into 3 groups ( n =12):control group (group DC) ;low dose propofol group (group DP1 ) and high dose propofol group (group DP2 ).Another 36 non-diabetic rats were also randomly divided into 3 group ( n =12 each):control group (group NC) ; low dose propofol group group (group NP1 ) and high dose propofol (group NP2 ).After 30 min isolated carotic sinus perfusion with K-H solution (control groups),50 μmol/L propofol in K-H solution (low dose propofol groups) or 100 μmol/L propofol in K-H solution (high dose propofol groups),blood samples were taken for determination of plasma endothelin and nitric oxide concentrations. Results The plasma endothelin concentration was lower and nitric oxide concentration higher in groups DP1 and DP2 than in group DC,and in group DP1 than in group DP2 ( P < 0.05).The plasma endothelin concentration was higher and nitric oxide concentration lower in group NPi than in group DP1,and in group NP2 than in group DP2 ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusion Propofol can decrease endothelin level and increase nitric oxide level in diabetic or non-diabetic rats through local effect on carotid sinus, and the effect is stronger in diabetic rats than in non-diabetic rats.
