Objective To analyze the current state of medication literacy among elderly patients with chronic diseases in urban areas of Beijing,identify its key influencing factors,and propose targeted improvement measures.Methods From February 1 to June 30,2023,a questionnaire survey was conducted among elderly chronic disease patients in 193 communities across 15 districts of Beijing using a convenience sampling method.Data was collected through face-to-face interviews,with a total of 787 questionnaires distributed and 755 valid responses received.The logistic regression analysis model was employed to systematically identify and evaluate the factors affecting patients'medication literacy.Results Among the 755 valid questionnaires collected,53.25%(402 cases)of patients met the medication literacy criteria.Regression analysis results showed that multiple factors significantly influenced medication literacy among elderly patients with chronic diseases,including using rural cooperative medical care or self-payment methods(OR=1.669,P=0.039),retaining medication instructions(OR=0.519,P=0.038),checking medication instructions before use(OR=1.993,P<0.01),and possessing the ability to understand medication instructions(partial understanding OR=2.805,P=0.038;fully understanding OR=3.084,P=0.022)as positive influencing factors;whereas having 2 to 3 chronic diseases(OR=0.574,P=0.039),taking 3 to 5 medications(OR=1.845,P=0.015),and experiencing drug-related problems(OR=1.993,P<0.01)were identified as negative influencing factors.Conclusion Multiple factors influence medication literacy among elderly patients with chronic diseases.To ensure the safety and efficacy of their medication use,It is recommended to implement targeted measures.These include revising patient medication guidance leaflets tailored to age,enhancing patients'understanding of drug instructions,and strengthening medication guidance and social support systems.

Objective:To evaluate the hemostatic effects of our self-designed pelvic band with inflatable balloon in a swine model of hemodynamically unstable pelvic fracture.Methods:"Open-book like" fractures were created with the external iliac blood vessels exposed in 24 12-month-old female Bama miniature pigs which were randomly divided into 4 groups ( n=6). Group C (the control group) was subjected to no treatment other than exposure of the external iliac blood vessels, group D to no treatment following destruction of the external iliac blood vessels, group T1 to fixation with simple pelvic band after destruction of the external iliac blood vessels, and group T2 to fixation with our self-designed pelvic band with inflatable balloon after destruction of the external iliac blood vessels. The 4 groups were compared in terms of 40-min survival rate, bladder pressure, peak lactate value, total blood loss, bleeding rate, infusion rate, and angiographic images. Results:There was no significant difference in the baseline indexes among the 4 groups before experiment, showing comparability ( P>0.05). The 40-min survival rate in group T2 was 83.3% (5/6), significantly higher than that in groups D and T1 [0% (0/6) and 0% (0/6)] ( P<0.05). There were no significant differences among groups C, D, T1 and T2 in bladder pressure [(6.67±1.03) mmHg, (5.83±1.94) mmHg, (6.00±1.55) mmHg, and (6.00±1.10) mmHg] or in total blood loss among groups D, T1 and T2[(1,198.0±182.9) mL, (1,252.0±148.4) mL, and (1,150.0±125.7) mL] (all P>0.05). The peak lactate value in group T2 [(2.26±0.24) mmol/L] was significantly lower than that in group D [(5.00±0.60) mmol/L] and group T1 [(3.86±0.57) mmol/L], and the bleeding rate and infusion rate in group T2 [(25.83±5.49) mL/min and (26.00±4.69) mL/min] were also significantly lower than those in group D [(83.50±19.85) mL/min and (71.50±29.11) mL/min] and group T1 [(54.17±15.59) mL/min and (54.17±8.98) mL/min] (all P<0.05). Angiography showed contrast agent extravasation in group T2, especially from the artery, but the extravasation speed in group T2 was significantly slower than that in group D. Conclusion:In a swine model of hemodynamically unstable pelvic fracture, our self-designed pelvic band with inflatable balloon has a definite hemostatic effect on vascular injury which is better than that of a simple pelvic band.

Dental resin materials have been widely used in the treatment of dental defects. However, the polymerization shrinkage of the resin materials tends to cause microleakage and accumulation of bacterial plaque, which leads to secondary dental caries. Endowing dental resin with antibacterial properties is an important way to solve this problem. Adding antibacterial agents to dental resin is the main method to give it antibacterial properties. Antimicrobial agents are mainly divided into three types: release type, non-release type and mixed type. In terms of antibacterial effects, the selection and addition of antibacterial agents will affect the antibacterial and mechanical properties of dental resin materials; and the long-term antibacterial effect of antimicrobial agents in the oral cavity remains to be verified; as antimicrobial agents or other environmental factors can lead to drug resistance and even dormant persistent bacteria. In recent years, researchers have been committed to improving the antibacterial effect by modifying antibacterial agents. The sustained release of antimicrobial agents via carriers is also the main research direction. This paper reviews the research progress on the antibacterial properties of dental resin materials.

Objective:To summarize the clinical experiences of managing patients with novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) infection after kidney transplantation.Methods:Clinical data were retrospectively analyzed for two patients with 2019-nCoV infection after renal transplantation in January 2020. Case 1 was a 48-year-old male with CMV pneumonia secondary to 2019-nCoV infection at 4 months post-transplantation. CT imaging showed multiple patchy ground-glass opacities of both lungs. Case 2 was a 59-year-old male who screened positive for 2019-nCoV nucleic acid due to fever at 9 days post-transplantation and he showed no clinical manifestations of pneumonia. After a definite diagnosis, case 1 was transferred to a designated hospital for isolation. Treatment regimens: cefoperazone sulbactam sodium plus linezolid for anti-infection, gamma globulin for enhancing immunity, methylprednisolone for controlling inflammatory responses and antiviral regimens of arbidol tablets plus lopina-velitonavir tablets. Case 2 was isolated in a single room. The treatment plan included cefoperazone sulbactam sodium for anti-infection, gamma globulin for enhancing immunity, arbidol for antiviral therapy and other symptomatic measures.Results:During a follow-up period of 3 weeks, case 1 recovered with renal dysfunction, nucleic acid test of nasopharyngeal swab turned negative and pulmonary imaging improved. Case 2 showed no obvious clinical symptoms and nucleic acid test of nasopharyngeal swab turned negative thrice.Conclusions:Renal transplant recipients should take precautions to avoid exposure to high-risk environments. A definite diagnosis should be made on the basis of clinical manifestations and results of nucleic acid test and pulmonary imaging. Currently there is no effective antiviral agent and symptomatic treatment is a major option.

Conclusion Renal transplant recipients should receive fine protection to avoid exposure to high-risk environments. Diagnosis should be defined with combination of clinical manifestations, nucleic acid test and pulmonary imaging. At present, there are no antiviral drugs and symptomatic treatment is the main choice.

Objective To explore the development and clinical effect of weight_adjustable suit for children with dyskinetic cerebral palsy. Methods Twenty_six cerebral_palsy children with involuntary movement admitted to the Third Hospital Affiliated to Jiamusi University from March to October 2016 were randomly divided into the observa_tion group and the control group,13 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation trai_ning. The observation group was put on adjustable heavy clothes besides conventional rehabilitation. Before and after treatment,childrenˊs functional independence and gross motor function were assessed and compared by using Wee Punc_tional Independence Measure(Wee_PIM)and Gross Motor Punction Rating Scale(GMPM_88). Results After treat_ment the Wee_PIM score of the control group was(43. 24 ± 5. 58),the GMPM score was(61. 81 ± 9. 46),the Wee_PIM score of the observation group was(50. 21 ± 6. 03),and the GMPM score was(65. 73 ± 10. 17). There were sig_nificant differences between the two groups(P〈0. 05),while the scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group,and the difference was significant(t﹦2. 582,2. 346,all P〈0. 05). Conclusions The adjustable heavy suit can effectively improve the functional independence and gross motor function of cerebral palsy children with involuntary movement and their comprehensive ability,and it is worth trying clinically.

Objective To evaluate inhibitory effects of the Chlamydiaphage phiCPG1 capsid protein Vp1 on Chlamydia psittaci strain guinea pig inclusion conjunctivitis (GPIC) and Chlamydia trachomatis (Ct) serovar E,and to provide new ideas for the treatment of Ct infection.Methods The Chlamydiaphage phiCPG1 capsid protein Vp1 was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 transfected with the recombinant plasmid Vp1-pET30a (+),identified by Western blot analysis and purified by using dialysis bags.Bicinchonininc acid (BCA) assay was performed to determine the concentration of Vp1 protein.GPIC and Ct serovar E strains were both classified into 4 groups to be firstly incubated with Vp1 protein (Vp1 group),Tris-glycine solution (Tris group),S protein (S group) or Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM,DMEM group) at room temperature for 3 hours,then were used to infect Hela cells followed by 72-hour (GPIC) or 48-hour (Ct serovar E) culture with the presence of Vp 1 protein (Vp 1 group),Tris-glycine solution (Tris group),S protein (S group) or DMEM (DMEM group).Subsequently,immunofluorescence staining was conducted to observe and count chlamydial inclusions.Results The number of GPIC inclusions was significantly different between the 4 groups after 72-hour culture (F=476.632,P＜ 0.05),and lower in the Vp1 group (5.0 ± 1.5) than in the Tris group (24 ± 1.2,P＜ 0.05),S group (25 ± 1.7,P＜ 0.05) and DMEM group (25 ± 1.5,P＜ 0.05),but insignificantly different between the latter 3 groups (P ＞ 0.05).Compared with the DMEM group,the Vp1 group showed a significant decrease of 80.2％ ± 3.99％ and 77.2％ ± 1.79％ in the number of GPIC and Ct serovar E inclusions respectively,with no significant difference in the inhibitory effect of Vp1 on GPIC versus Ct serovar E (t =2.057,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The phiCPG1 capsid protein Vp1 can obviously inhibit GPIC and Ct serovar E infections to a similar degree.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance and changes of serum interleukin-4 (IL-4),interferon-γ(IFN-γ) and immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels in infants with spasmodic laryngitis.Methods Serum samples were obtained from 50 children with spasmodic laryngitis and 30 healthy children.The changes of IL-4,IFN-γand IgE levels in serum when hospital admission (acute stage),before discharge (the stage of clinical symptom disappeared) and after 2 months of follow-up were observed.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to determine the levels of IL-4 and IFN-γ in serum.Serum IgE level was determined with enzyme-linked fluoroimmuneassay.Results The serum level of IL-4 in patients with spasmodic laryngitis during acute stage were much higher than that in normal control group[(20.65 ±5.87) ng/L vs(8.23 ±2.71) ng/L,t =5.536,P ＜0.05].It was decreased during the stage of clinical symptom disappeared and significantly lower than that during acute stage[(11.07 ± 2.93) ng/L vs (20.65 ± 5.87) ng/L,F =5.258,P ＜ 0.05].The serum level of IFN-γ in patients with spasmodic laryngitis during acute stage were much lower than that in normal control group[(61.38 ±6.36) ng/L vs (108.42 ± 13.56) ng/L,t =4.831,P ＜ 0.05],and it was increased during the stage of clinical symptom disappeared [(95.12 ± 11.63) ng/L] and significantly higher than that during acute stage(F =4.239,P ＜ 0.05).There was no difference between the patients at clinical symptom disappeared stage and normal control group (P ＞ 0.05).Two months after discharge,there was no difference in serum INF-γlevel between the patients [(75.68 ±6.29) ng/L] and that in control group (P ＞ 0.05).The serum level of IgE in patients with spasmodic laryngitis during acute stage were much higher than that in normal control group [(136.63 ± 17.86) ng/L vs (47.16 ± 6.83) ng/L,t =6.685,P ＜ 0.05].It was decreased during the stage of clinical symptom disappeared [(88.07 ± 11.83) μg/L] and significantly lower than that during acute stage(F =5.182,P ＜ 0.05),but higher than that of normal control group (P ＜ 0.05).Two months after discharge [(86.72 ± 7.25) μg/L] it was still higher than that in control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions There is TH1/TH2 imbalance in infants with spasmodic laryngitis.Maybe spasmodic laryngitis is one of the clinical manifestations of atopic diseases.IL-4,IFN-γand IgE may play important roles in immunologic pathogenesis.

The authors have applied the Omaha system in six different researches conducted in Hong Kong and mainland China in the last ten years. These researches have been conducted using different client groups,specialty nurses,and in the hospital,clinic and community settings. The Omaha system was found to be instrumental in serving as a conceptual framework for study,designing the intervention protocol,identifying clients' health problems,defining nursing interventions and evaluating research outcomes. The Omaha system is a valuable tool for research and practice and is worth exploring further for its application in mainland China,particularly in the areas of community nursing and transitional care.
