Monotropein is a compound classified into iridoid which is found in herbaceous plants Morindae officinalis. It possesses anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-osteoarthritic activities. Previous study indicates that monotropein may have the potential to combat cardiovascular disease, although the related mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we constructed the model of atherosclerosis by oxidized low density lipoprotein-induced vascular smooth muscle cells and LDLR –/–mice given high-fat diet to investigate the effects of monotropein on atherosclerosis.Our results showed that monotropein treatment significantly reduced the area of atherosclerotic plaques and necrotic cores in mice, inhibited the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells, and reduced inflammatory responses and oxidative stress, which in turn alleviated atherosclerosis. In addition, we found that monotropein reduced the expression levels of P-NF-κB and P-AP-1. In conclusion, our data suggest that monotropein inhibited the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells by mediating the activity of NF-κB, AP-1, reducing the level of inflammation and oxidative stress, and thus resisting the development of atherosclerosis. These findings demonstrate the efficacious therapeutic impact of monotropein on atherosclerosis and elucidate its specific target.

Objective To analyze the distribution of platelet antibodies in hospitalized patients and explore the clinical significance of platelet antibody detection. Methods A total of 95 987 hospitalized patient cases from a tertiary hospital in Xi'an from April 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023 were collected. Platelet antibodies were detected by solid-phase agglutination method. Statistical analysis was performed on variables including gender, age, blood type, department, history of blood transfusion, pregnancy history, and disease type. Results Among 95 987 hospitalized patients, the positive rate of platelet antibody detection reached 4.35%. The positive rate of platelet antibodies in female hospitalized patients (5.29%) was higher than that in male patients (3.31%), and the difference was statistically significant (x²=224.124). The positive rate of platelet antibodies in those with pregnancy history (7.92%) was higher than that in those without pregnancy history (4.19%), and the difference was significant (x²=292.773). Similarly, the positive rate of platelet antibodies in those with transfusion history (7.79%) was higher than that in those without transfusion history (3.97%), and the difference was significant (x²=300.209). There was a significant correlation between the positive rate of platelet antibodies and the number of pregnancies (x²=91.061). Conclusion The positive rate of platelet antibodies in 95 987 inpatient cases was 4.35%. The positive rate of platelet antibodies had a close relationship with a history of blood transfusions and pregnancies, and it increased with the number of pregnancies. For patients with multiple transfusion histories and pregnancy histories, screening for platelet antibodies holds significant diagnostic value.

Objective: To explore the influencing factors and pathways of suicidal ideation among children and adolescents with severe autism spectrum disorder (ASD), so as to provide references for clarifying the impact intensity and pathways of various factors on suicidal ideation in the population. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted from June 17, 2024, to January 12, 2025, involving 96 severely affected ASD children and adolescents aged 8-18 years from Tianjin. Participants were assessed using the Puberty Development Scale (PDS), Children s Alexithymia Measure (CAM), Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), and Positive and Negative Suicide Ideation (PANSI). The random forest Boruta algorithm was employed to screen core variables, and a Bayesian network model was constructed to analyze the influencing factors of suicidal ideation in children and adolescents with severe ASD. Results: Through the screening using the Boruta algorithm, the SDQ scale score, conduct problems, hyperactivity, peer relationship problems and prosocial behavior were identified as the key predictors of suicidal ideation. A Bayesian network model was established with hyperactivity as the central mediating node. The impact of hyperactivity on suicidal ideation exhibited a non linear relationship: compared to the normal state (31.6%, 68.4%), the borderline state of hyperactivity was associated with a higher probability of low risk suicidal ideation (47.1%) and a lower probability of high risk suicidal ideation (52.9%). Suicidal ideation among children and adolescents with severe ASD was closely related to hyperactivity. In the state of hyperactivity, the abnormal peer relationship (95.2%) and the abnormal prosocial behavior (77.0%) were aggravated. Conclusions Suicide ideation among children and adolescents with severe ASD is strongly associated with hyperactivity traits. It is necessary to establish a prevention and control system centered on hyperactivity intervention to reduce this risk.

OBJECTIVE To enrich the polymethoxyflavonoid-rich fraction from Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium using D101 macro-porous resin,and further to analyse the chemical constituents using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Quadrupole-Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry(HPLC-Q-TOF-MS).METHODS Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium extract was adsorbed on D101 macro-porous resin and then eluted with different concentrations of ethanol to enrich the polymethoxyflavonoid-rich fraction;the content of the major flavonoid components was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC);and the components were further an-alysed by HPLC-Q-TOF-MS.RESULTS The established HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of seven flavonoids in Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium extract was accurate and reliable.The contents of compounds such as nobiletin and tangeritin were signifi-cantly increased in the polymethoxyflavonoid-rich fraction.Using high resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS),70 and 60 compounds were identified from the Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium extract and the polymethoxyflavonoid-rich fraction,respectively,with 53 polyme-thoxyflavonoids being detected in these two extracts.CONCLUSION The results of this study provide an experimental basis for fur-ther identification of the pharmacological substance basis of the polymethoxyflavonoids in Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium and the estab-lishment of quality control methods.

Social anxiety disorder has a significant negative impact on individuals'social interaction and normal life,and childhood trauma plays an important role in the occurrence and development of SAD.Childhood trauma affects the development of self-awareness,impairs the ability of information processing,hinders the normal development of prefrontal cortex-limbic system loop and default mode network,and causes abnormal secretion of glucocorticoid and oxytocin,which leads to individuals'inability to correctly understand social clues and reasonably regulate emotions,and thus unable to produce adaptive emotional and behavioral responses in social situations,which may lead to SAD.In conclusion,childhood trauma has a lasting adverse effect on social function from both psychological and physiological aspects.

Hyperuricemic nephropathy （HN）， a secondary renal damage common in clinical practice， is characterized by early concealing and continuous progression. The understanding of HN in traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） is from a macroscopic perspective. According to the TCM theory， HN is caused by the combination of external pathogens and internal injuries， with the main pathogenesis being root deficiency combined with superficial excess and deficiency-excess in complexity. In western medicine， the understanding of HN is from the microscopic perspective， which holds that the occurrence of HN is the result of inflammation， oxidative stress， renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system （RAAS） activation， and metabolic abnormalities. The TCM syndromes of HN include internal dampness and heat， obstruction in dampness and turbidity， deficiency of spleen and kidney， and deficiency of kidney yin. Accordingly， the prescriptions should clear heat and dampness， remove dampness and turbidity， tonify spleen and kidney， and nourish kidney yin， respectively. In addition to TCM prescriptions， single herbal medicines and their extracts， Chinese patent medicines， and external applications of Chinese medicines have played a significant role in the treatment of HN， promoting the application of TCM in the treatment of HN. Moreover， the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine has also played a role in the treatment of HN， enriching the treatment schemes of HN. Different from common kidney diseases such as acute and chronic glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome， HN with particularity should be carefully differentiated in clinical practice. This article systematically summarizes the research progress in the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine on hyperuricemic nephropathy with TCM and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine， aiming to enrich the system and theory of HN treatment and further guide the clinical practice.
