Objective To investigate the awareness of radon exposure hazards among non-uranium miners in Chongqing, China. Methods A survey was conducted among 177 male miners from eight non-uranium metal mines in Chongqing to collect data on basic information, personal habits, and the rate of radon awareness. Factors affecting radon awareness were analyzed using chi-square test and logistic regression model. Results The awareness rate of radon among miners was 23.73%. The chi-square test indicated significant difference in the radon awareness rate among miners with different levels of education (χ² = 10.28, P < 0.05), while there was no significant difference across different ages, years of work, labor relations, job categories, and types of miners (P > 0.05). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that a college (junior college) or higher level of education, a high school level of education, and working in mines were factors affecting the radon awareness among miners (χ² = 4.030, 9.150, 11.776, P < 0.05). Conclusion Miners lack awareness of radon, and there is an urgent need to strengthen education and propaganda regarding the hazards of radon.

Abstract In recent years, the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents has risen rapidly, posing a serious threat to their physical and mental health. To provide scientific, systematic, and standardized weight management guidance for overweight and obese children and adolescents, the study focuses on the core concept of healthy lifestyle intervention, integrates multidisciplinary expert opinions and research findings,and proposes a comprehensive multidisciplinary intervention framework covering scientific exercise intervention, precise nutrition and diet, optimized sleep management, and standardized psychological support. It calls for the establishment of a multi agent collaborative management mechanism led by the government, implemented by families, fostered by schools, initiated by individuals, optimized by communities, reinforced by healthcare, and coordinated by multiple stakeholders. Emphasizing a child and adolescent centered approach, the consensus advocates for comprehensive, multi level, and personalized guidance strategies to promote the internalization and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. It serves as a reference and provides recommendations for the effective prevention and control of overweight and obesity, and enhancing the health level of children and adolescents.

Objective To investigate the effects of chronic starvation stress on the proliferation and migration of colorectal cancer cells, as well as the underlying mechanisms. Methods By using prolonged serum starvation to simulate chronic starvation stress in tumor cells, we established enduring serum-deprived models of SW480 and DLD-1 cells and observed cellular morphological change. Effects of prolonged serum starvation on SW480 and DLD-1 proliferative and migratory capabilities were assessed using CCK-8 and Transwell assays. Differential gene-expression analysis on SW480 cultured with 1% FBS or 10% FBS medium was followed by GO and KEGG pathway assessments. Migration-related protein interactions were explored using String database and Metascape software, leading to 16 genes being selected for RT-qPCR validation. Protein levels of ITGB1 and key molecules in the relevant pathways were measured. Mobility changes in SW480 were observed through Transwell assay after ITGB1 knockdown or STAT3 inhibition. Results Prolonged serum starvation significantly inhibited the proliferation of SW480 and DLD-1 cells, and DLD-1 mobility, while enhanced SW480 migration. Transcriptome analysis revealed that prolonged serum deprivation caused the upregulation of 3016 genes, among which 283 were involved in cell migration. Metascape analysis identified the correlations among potential core genes ITGB1, CD44, TNS1, STAT3, etc. Prolonged serum deprivation increased the mRNA levels of VTN, TNS1, VEGFA, STAT3, and ITGB1 while also increasing the protein levels of ITGB1 and MMP2 and the phosphorylation levels of JAK2 and STAT3. Mobility reduction in prolonged serum-starved SW480 cells was achieved through ITGB1 knockdown or a STAT3 inhibitor. Conclusion Colorectal cancer cells can endure chronic starvation stress which enhances migration capability by upregulating ITGB1 expression.

Objective To explore the value of dynamic MRI imaging in investigate the morphologic and dynamic factors of low anterior resection syndrome(LARS)after anal preservation surgery in patients with low rectal cancer.Methods Thirty-five patients who developed LARS after anal preservation surgery for low rectal cancer were prospectively collected.Subjects were underwent routine MRI and dynamic MRI of pelvis 1 week before and 3 months after surgery respectively.Routine MRI was used as the resting phase,and dynamic MRI was used to obtain the rapture phase and forceful phase.Parameters such as anal rectus angle(ARA),the length of the line connecting lower edge of pubic symphysis to the posterior wall attachment point of puborectal muscle(H-line),the vertical length from posterior wall attachment point of puborectal muscle to pubococcygeal line(M-line),thickness of puborectal muscle,and thickness of internal and external anal sphincter were measured at the three time phases.The differences between preoperative and postoperative,and moderate and severe LARS patients were compared by measuring relevant indicators.Results The preoperative and postoperative ARA,H-line length and M-line length of LARS patients were the smallest in the rapture phase,the largest in the forceful phase,and the middle in the resting phase.The postoperative thickness of puborectalis muscle and internal and external anal sphincter were the largest in the rapture phase,the smallest in the forceful phase,and the middle in the resting phase.There were significant differences between the three phases(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences between the three phases of postoperative puborectalis muscle thickness and internal and external sphincter thickness(P＞0.05).The postoperative ARA was greater than preoperative ARA in LARS patients,and the thickness of puborectalis muscle,the internal anal sphincter(resting phase and rapture phase),and the external anal sphincter were smaller than preoperative ARA,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The ARA in resting phase and rapture phase was greater in patients with severe LARS than that of patients with mild LARS,and the thickness of internal anal sphincter in resting phase was less in patients with severe LARS than that of patients with mild LARS(P＜0.05).However,the differences between the other indicators were not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Dynamic MRI examination technology combines dynamic images with quantitative indicators can be used as an important evaluation basis for LARS patients.

BACKGROUND:In recent years,computer-assisted navigation has gradually attracted attention in the medical field.Some scholars have reported that the clinical effects of computer navigation in total knee arthroplasty vary.To explore the clinical effect of the new generation of Brainlab Knee 3 navigation system,this study is conducted. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the application effect of computer navigation system(Brainlab Knee 3)combined with gap balance technology in total knee arthroplasty. METHODS:A total of 71 patients received total knee arthroplasty at the Department of Joint Surgery of Dalian Second People's Hospital from November 2020 to May 2021.In the navigation group,35 patients underwent total knee arthroplasty by computer navigation combined with gap balance.In the traditional group,36 patients underwent osteotomy with traditional surgical instruments.The difference between medial and lateral joint spaces,knee range of motion,hospital for special surgery knee score,hip-knee-ankle angle,deviation values of coronal femoral component angle,coronal tibial component angle,and sagittal tibial component angle were compared between the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)In the navigation group,the differences of intraoperative medial and lateral joint gap at knee extension 0,1,and 2 mm were found in 19,14,and 2 cases,respectively.The gap difference was 0 mm in 18 cases,1 mm in 15 cases and 2 mm in 2 cases at 90° degree knee flexion.In the traditional group,the gap difference at knee extention was 0 mm in 10 cases,1 mm in 20 cases,and 2 mm in 6 cases.The gap difference at 90 degree knee flexion was 0 mm in 10 cases,1 mm in 15 cases and 2 mm in 8 cases.(2)The operation time in the navigation group was longer than that in the traditional group(P<0.05),and two patients in the navigation group developed lower limb intermuscular vein thrombosis after surgery,and none of the patients in the traditional group had complications.(3)The range of motion between the two groups increased significantly at 6 and 12 months after surgery,and the range of motion in the navigation group was higher than that in the traditional group(P<0.05).(4)At 12 months after surgery,the hospital for special surgery knee scores of both groups increased significantly,and the hospital for special surgery knee score in the navigation group was higher than that in the traditional group(P<0.05).(5)At 6 months after surgery,the deviation values of hip-knee-ankle angle,coronal femoral component angle,coronal tibial component angle,and sagittal tibial component angle of navigation group were significantly lower than those in the traditional group(P<0.05).(6)The results showed that computer navigation technique combined with gap balance in total knee arthroplasty had advantages in postoperative range of motion,lower limb alignment and the accuracy of tibial prosthesis component position,and joint function recovered well.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Zhuanyaotang Granules for the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis(DLSS).Methods Using a randomized double blind controlled design,104 DLSS patients were divided into an experimental group and a control group using a random number table method,with 52 patients in each group.The treatment group took oral Zhuanyaotang Granules,methylcobalamin tablets and celecoxib capsule simulants.The control group used Zhuanyaotang Granules simulants,methylcobalamin tablets and celecoxib capsules.The course of treatment was 3 weeks for both groups.The follow-ups were conducted at 1 month and 3 months after treatment.The intermittent claudication distance,visual analogue scale(VAS)score and JOA efficacy rating criteria for low back pain score were observed in both groups before treatment,1,2,3 weeks of treatment and 1 month after treatment and 3 months after treatment.Adverse reactions during treatment were recorded.Results There were 5 cases of detachment and 2 cases of exclusion in the experimental group,and 5 cases of detachment and 1 case of exclusion in the control group.Compared with before treatment,there were statistically significant differences in intermittent claudication distance,VAS score,and JOA score between the two groups of patients at various time points during treatment and follow-up(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in intermittent claudication distance,VAS score,and JOA score between the experimental group and the control group before treatment and 1 and 2 weeks of treatment(P>0.05);compared with the two groups at 3 weeks of treatment and 1 and 3 months after treatment,the intermittent claudication distance and JOA score in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups and the control group after 3 weeks of treatment(P>0.05).There were 2 adverse reactions(4.4%)in the experimental group and 5 adverse reactions(10.8%)in the control group,without statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion Zhuanyaotang Granules can effectively relieve pain and improve lumbar function in patients with DLSS,which is more effective and safer than oral celecoxib capsules and methylcobalamin tablets.

ObjectiveThis study aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Ruyi Zhenbaowan（RYZBW）in the treatment of initial and early knee osteoarthritis （KOA） through a prospective multicenter，randomized，double-blind，and placebo-parallel controlled trial. MethodFrom October 13^th， 2021 to December 25^th， 2021， 240 KOA subjects meeting the acceptance criteria were enrolled in 15 sub-centers including Wangjing Hospital， Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences， and they were randomly divided into observation group and control group， with 120 cases in each group. The intervention measures for the observation group were RYZBW + health education， and the intervention measures for the control group were RYZBW placebo + health education. The intervention period in both groups was four weeks， and they were followed up for four weeks after the intervention. The primary outcome measure was the total score of Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index score （WOMAC score）， and the secondary outcome measures were the response rate of visual scale （VAS） pain score， WOMAC sub item scores （joint pain， joint stiffness， and joint function）， quality of life （SF-12） score， and traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndrome score. Result（1） Efficacy evaluation. The marginal model results showed that the observation group was better than the control group in improving the WOMAC total score and WOMAC pain score in the treatment of KOA with RYZBW， and the difference was statistically significant （P<0.05）. There was no significant difference between the two groups in improving VAS score response rate， WOMAC function score， WOMAC stiffness score， SF12-PCS （quality of life-physical health） score， SF12-MCS （quality of life-mental health） score， and TCM syndrome score. （2） Subgroup analysis. ① In terms of VAS score response rate， the response rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group for subjects with baseline VAS score of （4， 5］， and the difference was statistically significant （P<0.05）. ② In terms of TCM syndrome score， for subjects aged ［56， 60］ and ［61， 65］， the decrease in total TCM syndrome score in the observation group was better than that in the control group， and the difference was statistically significant （P<0.05）. ConclusionTibetan medicine RYZBW has good clinical efficacy in improving WOMAC total score， VAS score response rate， WOMAC pain score， WOMAC function score， and TCM syndrome score for patients with initial and early KOA， which can fill the lack of Tibetan medicine RYZBW in the treatment of KOA and make a demonstration study for the inheritance and development of ethnic medicine.

Background Agitated behaviour in male patients with schizophrenia can lead to serious consequences for the individual and the society.Non-invasive drug delivery may help to rapidly control agitation and improve the overall patient satisfaction,but there are limited studies on the efficacy of olanzapine oral soluble film for the treatment of agitated behaviour in patients with schizophrenia.Objective To compare the efficacy and safety profile of olanzapine oral soluble film versus intramuscular haloperidol against agitated behaviour in male patients with schizophrenia,so as to provide a reference for the treatment of agitated behaviour.Methods From May 2022 to July 2023,a consecutive sample of schizophrenic patients(n=44)with agitated behaviour who met the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,fifth edition(DSM-5)were recruited in the male psychiatric closed ward of the Third People's Hospital of Fuyang.Patients were assigned into two groups using the random number table method,each with 22 cases.Study group was treated with olanzapine oral soluble film 10 mg/d,while control group was given intramuscular haloperidol 8 mg/d.The severity of agitated behaviour was determined using Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale-Excited Component(PANSS-EC)and Agitation Calmness Evaluation Scale(ACES)at the baseline and after 6 h of drug administration.The treatment response rate was calculated based on the reduction of PANSS-EC score,and the drug side effects were assessed using Rating Scale for Extrapyramidal Side Effects(RSESE)and Barnes Akathisia Rating Scale(BARS)after 6 h of drug administration.Results After 6 h of drug administration,no statistical difference was reported in PANSS-EC score and ACES score between two groups(F=0.039,0.082,P>0.05),and the treatment response rate yielded no statistical difference between two groups(χ2=0.419,P=0.517),while study group reported a lower incidence rate of adverse reactions compared with control group,with statistically significant difference(P=0.031).BARS scores noted no statistical significant difference between two groups(t=0.587,P=0.561),whereas study group scored lower on RSES compared to control group,with a statistical difference(t=-7.367,P<0.01).Conclusion In the treatment of agitation in male patients with schizophrenia,the efficacy of olanzapine oral soluble film is comparable to that of intramuscular haloperidol,while the safety profile of the former is superior to that of the latter.

ObjectiveTo explore the mechanism of Zhuangyao Tongluo Formula（壮腰通络方，ZTF） in delaying intervertebral disc degeneration. MethodsM1 macrophages were induced from THP-1 cells using LPS， IFN-γ and PMA. The induced M1 macrophages were then co-cultured with nucleus pulposus cells in a transwell system. Fetal bovine serum was used as the control serum， and the effects of different concentrations （5%， 10%， 15%， 20%） of serum from rats treated with ZTF on the activity of M1 macrophages and nucleus pulposus cells were analyzed using MTT assay. Experiment 1 was established， including the nucleus pulposus cell control group， M1 macrophage control group， nucleus pulposus cell + ZTF group， nucleus pulposus cell + TNF control group， nucleus pulposus cell + TNF + ZTF group， co-culture group， and co-culture + ZTF group. The levels of IL-1β， and IL-18 in the culture supernatant were detected using ELISA. The mRNA expression of IL-1β and IL-18 in nucleus pulposus cells was detected using qPCR. Additionally， the expression of GSDMD protein in nucleus pulposus cells was detected using cell immunofluorescence. In experiment 2， co-culture groups were constructed using TNF-α overexpression （OE） or empty vector （EV） plasmids， including co-culture group， TNF-EV + co-culture group， TNF-EV co-culture group + ZTF， co-culture + ZTF group， TNF-OE co-culture group + ZTF， and TNF-OE + co-culture group. The mRNA and protein expression of TNF-α in M1 cells in each group were detected using qPCR and WB. ResultsThe ZTF with 10% serum was selected for subsequent experiments. The results of experiment 1 showed that compared to the control group of nucleus pulposus cells， there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of IL-1β， IL-18， mRNA， and GSDMD expression in the nucleus pulposus cells + ZTF group （P＞0.05）. However， the TNF-α + co-culture group showed a significant increase in IL-1β， IL-18 levels， mRNA， and GSDMD expression （P＜0.01）. When compared to the co-culture group， the ZTF+ co-culture group showed a significant decrease in IL-1β， IL-18 levels， mRNA， and GSDMD expression （P＜0.01）. The results of experiment 2 showed that there was no statistically significant difference in TNF-α mRNA and protein expression between the empty vector plasmids + co-culture group and the co-culture group （P＞0.05）. Compared to the empty vector + co-culture group， the expression of TNF-α mRNA and protein was significantly reduced in the empty vector co-culture + ZTF group （P＜0.01）. Compared to the co-culture group and the empty vector + co-culture group， the expression of TNF-α mRNA and protein was significantly reduced in the co-culture + ZTF group （P＜0.01）. Compared to the co-culture + ZTF group， the expression of TNF-α mRNA and protein significantly increased in the overexpression vector co-culture + ZTF group （P＜0.01）. Compared to the overexpression vector co-culture + ZTF group， the expression of TNF-α mRNA and protein significantly increased in the overexpression vector co-culture group （P＜0.01）. ConclusionZTF serum can inhibit the TNF-α-induced apoptosis of nucleus pulposus cells and delay lumbar disc degeneration by reducing the expression of TNF-α in M1 macrophages.

Objective To quantify operation characteristics of the ankle rotating-traction-poking manipulation (RTPM) for treating acute lateral ankle sprain by using motion capture technology, so as to provide objective references for standardized operation of RTPM and its education inheritance. Methods A professional physiotherapist performed the RTPM on 60 volunteers with acute lateral ankle sprain. Motion capture system was used to acquire effective kinematic data during the RTPM, so as to make analysis and summarize rules. Results The average time of ankle rotating for six circles was 11.36 s and the average time of ankle traction and poking was 3.42 s. The average displacement of ankle traction was 36.94 mm and the average displacement of ankle poking was 22.44 mm. The average angle of ankle traction was 23.27°, and the average angle of ankle poking was 22.76°. During the RTPM for treating acute lateral ankle sprain, the average linear velocity of ankle rotating was 58.28 mm/s, and the average linear velocity of ankle traction and poking was 23.81 mm/s. The linear acceleration of ankle rotating was 0.43 mm/s2, and the linear acceleration of ankle traction and poking was 0.54 mm/s2. Conclusions The RTPM can be applied in clinical practice. During the RTMP, the principle of gentleness, rhythmicity and continuity should be followed. Under the premise of following physiological characteristics of ankle joint, treatment of the sprained ankle should be carried out with slow and uniform speed continuously.
