Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic relapsing inflammatory disease of the intestine closely associated with immune dysfunction. Colonic lamina propria macrophages are the most abundant population of macrophages in the intestinal mucosa, capable of effectively maintaining and regulating the stability of the intestinal environment. The inflammatory responses mediated by these macrophages play a significant role in the occurrence and development of UC. This article provides a comprehensive review of the roles and mechanisms of two different subtypes of colonic lamina propria macrophages in UC, aiming to provide new insights for the clinical treatment of UC.

bstract: Objective To elucidate the distribution characteristics of mosquito species and the population genetic
diversity of important mosquito species in the Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve, with the aim of providing a scientific basis for
the prevention and control of mosquito-borne diseases in the region. Methods Within Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve 2022-
2023, 16 sampling sites were selected, where larvae were collected using the pipette method and adult mosquitoes were
collected using the mosquito trap lamp method. Mosquito species identification was accomplished by integrating morphological
characteristics and molecular identification techniques based on CO Ⅰ and CO Ⅱ gene sequences. Software tools such as
ClustalX, DnaSP v5.0, and Network v4.6.1.0 were utilized to analyze the genetic differentiation (Fst), gene flow (Nm) among
populations of Aedes japonicus, Aedes albopictus and Armigeres subalbatus. Results The mosquito specimens collected from
the Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve were identified as 30 species belonging to 8 genera within the Culicidae family. Among
them, there were 10 species of Aedes, 13 species of Culex, 1 species each of Armigeres, Orthopodomyia, Uranotaenia,
Tripyeroides, and Anopheles, and 2 species of Toxorhynchites. Analysis of the genetic structure of important mosquito
populations showed that the haplotype diversity index (Hd) of Ae. japonicus was 0.994 7, with a generally moderate degree of
differentiation between populations and a higher degree of genetic differentiation between populations 6 and 12; Aedeslbopictus had a haplotype diversity index of 0.634 0, with significant genetic differentiation between populations 1 and 2
compared to other groups; Armigeres subalbatus had a haplotype diversity index of 0.703 3, with substantial genetic
differentiation and limited gene flow between population 2 and populations 3, 4, 6, and 7. Conclusions The mosquito species
are rich in Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve. A comprehensive survey of the composition and distribution of mosquito populations
was carried out, and the characteristics of the population genetic structure of the important species of Ae. japonicus, Ae.
Albopictus, and Ar. subalbatus populations were analyzed, providing valuable scientific data reference for local mosquito-borne
ecological research and disease prevention and control.

Chinese Journal of Epidemiology 2023;44(12):1911-1915
Objective:To predict and analyze the incidence trend of mumps using the Autoregressive integrated moving average model (ARIMA) in Jiangxi Province. Methods:The ARIMA was used to model the number of mumps cases per month from 2015 to 2019 in Jiangxi Province. The number of mumps cases in 12 months was predicted and was compared with the actual reported cases in 2020, 2021, and 2022, respectively. Results:The optimal model was ARIMA (0,2,1)(1,2,0) 12. The predicted number of cases was significantly higher than that reported in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The number of reported cases of mumps in 2020, 2021, and 2022 decreased by 54.02%, 63.40%, and 66.09% compared with the forecast. Conclusions:From 2020 to 2022, the reported incidence of mumps in Jiangxi Province was significantly lower than the predicted incidence. Considering that it was related to non-drug intervention measures and changes in immunization strategies, it was suggested to strengthen mumps surveillance further to better cope with the epidemic situation of mumps.

Objective:To analyze and compare the survival rate between patients with screen-detected and non-screening detected colorectal cancer in Shanghai from 2013 to 2015. Methods:Patients with screen-and non-screening detected colorectal cancer from 2013 to 2015 were collected from Shanghai Colorectal Cancer Screening Program and the Population-Based Cancer Registry. The results presented were based on data collected by December 31,2020.Survival rates were stratified by year of diagnosis,gender,site,age-group,stage at diagnosis and histopathologic category when analyzed. The 5-year observed survival rates were calculated based on the life table, and then the cumulative expected survival rates were calculated according to the Ederer Ⅱ method. Finally, the 5-year relative survival rate was calculated. The COX proportional hazard regression model was used for the multivariate analysis. Results:2 108 patients with screening-detected colorectal cancer and 14 154 patients with non-screening colorectal cancer from 2013 to 2015 were included in the analysis, and the proportions of phase Ⅰ were 35.53%and 9.33%,respectively.The stage distribution of colorectal cancer was significantly different between patients with screen-detected and non-screening detected colorectal cancer(P<0.05).The 5-year relative survival rates of patients with screen-detected and non-screening detected colorectal cancer were 84.66%(95%confidence interval:82.87%-86.45%)and 63.51%(95%confidence interval:62.64%-64.38%),respectively.The patients with screen-detected colorectal cancer had a significantly improved 5-year relative survival rate in comparison with the patients with non-screening detected colorectal cancer. The survival rates of females in both groups were higher than those of males. The relative survival rate decreased with the increase of age and gradually decreased with the increase of stage at diagnosis. The relative survival rate of patients with non-screening detected colon cancer was significantly lower than that of patients with rectal cancer. Conclusion:Patients with colorectal cancer found at screening had a significantly improved survival rate compared to patients with non-screening detected colorectal cancer.Staging at diagnosis is a key factor, which indicates that enhancing screening and early diagnosis has important meaning to further improve the survival of patients with colorectal cancer and reduce the burden of disease.
