1.Nonlinear association of nap duration with anxiety and depressive symptoms among junior high school students

Objective:
To explore the association between nap duration with anxiety and depressive symptoms among junior high school students, in order to provide evidence for mental health interventions for adolescents.
Methods:
From May to June 2022, a combination of convenience sampling and cluster sampling was used to select 2 491 students from 2 junior high schools in Haizhu District, Guangzhou City for questionnaire survey and physical examination. The questionnaire collected nap duration, night time sleep duration, bedtime, physical activity, and sedentary behavior. Anxiety and depressive symptoms were assessed using Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), respectively. Log-binomial regression model was used to analyze the association of nap duration with anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as comorbidity among junior high school students, and a restricted cubic spline (RCS) Log-binomial regression model was employed to analyze the non linear relationship after adjusting for covariates.
Results:
The detection rates of anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms and comorbidity among junior high school students were 13.29%,14.65%,9.19%. After adjusting for covariates such as age, gender and nighttime sleep duration, compared with a school day nap duration of <30 min/d, a nap duration of 30-<60 min/d was associated with a reduced risk of anxiety symptoms ( APR =0.68, 95% CI =0.49-0.98) and comorbidity ( APR =0.56, 95% CI =0.39-0.87)(both P < 0.05 ). Compared with no napping on weekends, a nap duration of 30-<60 min/d was associated with a reduced risk of anxiety symptoms ( APR =0.62, 95% CI =0.41-0.88), depressive symptoms ( APR =0.52, 95% CI =0.34-0.75) and comorbidity ( APR = 0.52 , 95% CI =0.30-0.83)(all P <0.05). RCS curves showed a nonlinear relationship between weekend nap duration and the prevalence of anxiety, depressive symptoms and comorbidity among junior high school students(all P non linear <0.05); weekend nap duration of <120 min was associated with a lower risk of anxiety and depressive symptoms, and weekend nap duration of >180 min was associated with an increased risk.
Conclusions
Appropriate nap duration can help reduce the risk of anxiety, depressive symptoms, and the comorbidity among junior high school students. Adolescents should be guided to reasonably arrange nap duration for promoting physical and mental health.
2.The Role of Lysosomal Dysfunction in Hepatocellular Carcinoma: From Pathogenesis to Targeted Therapies

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a lethal cancer with high morbidity rates worldwide. It is a major threat to public health in China, due to the combination of known and new risk factors, such as endemic hepatitis B virus (HBV), dietary aflatoxin exposure, and the occurrence of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Although many methods for surveillance and multimodal therapies, such as surgery, local ablation, transarterial therapy, and new systemic agents, have been available, the survival rates of HCC remains poor. They have very limited durable responses, long post-treatment recurrence rates, and high resistance to treatment. This reflects an imperfect picture of the biological cause of the disease and a need for new mechanistic or targeted techniques. A significant characteristic of HCC, in common with other aggressive cancers, is the presence of reprogrammed, hyperactive cell metabolism. Tumor cells hijack metabolic pathways to promote their uncontrolled growth, stress survival, invasion and metastasis. While classical mechanisms such as the Warburg effect, lipid metabolism and glutamine utilization have been understood, the lysosome, which was once viewed as a static “waste disposal unit” to remove old organelles and proteins, is instead a dynamic signaling and metabolic core. The lysosomes incorporate nutrients, energy and stress signals by master regulators such as mTORC1 (activated on its surface) that balance anabolic growth and catabolic recycling to the cellular demands. In HCC, lysosomes are not passive, but are highly active and dysregulated. HCC cells upregulate lysosomes, which scavenge intracellular components via enhanced autophagy and engulf extracellular proteins via macropinocytosis, crucial for survival in the nutrient-poor, hypoxic tumor microenvironment. In addition to metabolism, lysosomes exhibit pro-invasive functions by secreting hydrolases to remodel the extracellular matrix, promote angiogenesis, and suppress stromal immune cells to foster a pro-tumor microenvironment. In a clinical context, lysosomes play an important role in therapeutic resistance: they sequester and inactivate chemotherapeutics via lysosomal sequestration, and enhanced autophagic flux protects the cell from therapy-induced damage, contributing to relapse, as lysosomal dysfunction is a key cause of treatment failure. This makes lysosomes promising yet challenging therapeutic targets in HCC. Recent preclinical and early clinical studies investigate multiple strategies to exploit the susceptibility of lysosomes: lysosome-specific agents, alkalinizing the lysosome lumen or inducing membrane permeabilization and lysosome-dependent cell death; pharmacological inhibition of key lysosomal enzymes or autophagy to impair nutrient recycling and stress adaptation; smart nanotherapeutic agents or antibody-drug conjugates, specifically activated in the acidic lysosomal environment or utilizing lysosomal pathways for efficient intracellular drug release; and combination strategies of lysosome-targeting agents with tyrosine kinase inhibitors or immunotherapy to overcome resistance and achieve synergistic antitumor effects. In summary, our review systematically presents the role of lysosomes in HCC, from metabolic reprogramming and microenvironmental adaptation to therapeutic resistance. By synthesizing the latest mechanistic insights and preclinical advances, this review highlights the indispensable role of lysosomes in the complex HCC biological network, emphasizing that an in-depth understanding of this dynamic organelle holds great promise for developing innovative, targeted therapies, offering new hope for improving the poor prognosis of global HCC patients.

Health economics evidence plays an important role in linking clinical value evidence with health resource allocation decisions in the development of clinical practice guidelines. It can not only effectively balance clinical effectiveness and economic feasibility but also avoid forming "idealized" recommendations that are detached from the affordability of the healthcare system or the burden-bearing capacity of patients. To promote guideline developers to use health economics evidence more standardizedly and fully, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the current application status, existing challenges, access channels, and application processes of health economics evidence in current guidelines, and on this basis, puts forward considerations and suggestions for strengthening and standardizing the application of health economics evidence in China's clinical practice guidelines.

G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs)are the largest family of membrane proteins in eukaryotes,with nearly 800 genes coding for these proteins.They are involved in many physiological processes,such as light perception,taste and smell,neurotransmitter,metabolism,endocrine and exocrine,cell growth and migration.Importantly,GPCRs and their ligands are the targets of approximately one third of all mar-keted drugs.GPCRs are traditionally known for their role in transmitting signals from the extracellular environment to the cell's interior via the plasma membrane.However,emerging evidence suggests that GPCRs are also localized on mitochondria,where they play critical roles in modulating mitochondrial functions.These mitochondrial GPCRs(mGPCRs)can influence processes such as mitochondrial respi-ration,apoptosis,and reactive oxygen species(ROS)production.By interacting with mitochondrial signaling pathways,mGPCRs contribute to the regulation of energy metabolism and cell survival.Their presence on mitochondria adds a new layer of complexity to the understanding of cellular signaling,highlighting the organelle's role as not just an energy powerhouse but also a crucial hub for signal transduction.This expanding understanding of mGPCR function on mitochondria opens new avenues for research,particularly in the context of diseases where mitochondrial dysfunction plays a key role.Ab-normalities in the phase conductance pathway of GPCRs located on mitochondria are closely associated with the development of systemic diseases such as cardiovascular disease,diabetes,obesity and Alz-heimer's disease.In this review,we examined the various types of GPCRs identified on mitochondrial membranes and analyzed the complex relationships between mGPCRs and the pathogenesis of various diseases.We aim to provide a clearer understanding of the emerging significance of mGPCRs in health and disease,and to underscore their potential as therapeutic targets in the treatment of these conditions.
5.Correlation between visceral fat area and triglyceride-glucose index in people with normal body mass index based on quantitative CT

Objective To explore the correlation between visceral fat area(VFA)and triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index in people with normal body mass index(BMI)based on quantitative CT(QCT).Methods Totally 1 358 healthy adults with normal BMI who underwent QCT body composition measurement were retrospectively enrolled and divided into normal visceral fat group(normal group,VFA<100 cm2,n=509),mild visceral fat accumulation group(mild group,100 cmn2≤VFA<150 cm2,n=431)and severe visceral fat accumulation group(severe group,VFA≥150 cm2,n=418)according to VFA measured with QCT.Pearson and Spearman correlation analysis were performed to observe correlations of TyG index with general data and body composition in 20-40,41-60,61-90 years old men and women with normal BMI,respectively.Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to screen the independent impact factors of TyG index in normal BMI people.Results Low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),total cholesterol(TC),glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(GPT),VFA and subcutaneous fat area(SFA)of men with normal BMI at different age stages were weakly-lowly positively correlated with TyG index(r=0.143-0.459,all P<0.05),while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)were weakly-lowly negatively correlated with TyG index(r=-0.410--0.222,all P<0.05).LDL-C,VFA and SFA of women with normal BMI at different age stages were weakly-lowly positively correlated with TyG index(r=0.206-0.495,all P<0.05).GPT,TC,VFA and liver fat content(LFC)were all independent risk factors,while HDL-C was independent protective factor for TyG index in people with normal BMI(all P<0.05).Conclusion VFA was positively correlated with TyG index in people with normal BMI.Measurement of abdominal body composition based on QCT combined with lipid indexes had certain potential for predicting insulin resistance and relative metabolic diseases in abdominal obese people.
6.Real-time functional MRI neurofeedback for modulating brain activity changes in obese adults

Objective To observe value of real-time functional MRI neurofeedback(rtfMRI-NF)for modulating brain activity changes in obese adults.Methods Twenty-two obese adults were prospectively recruited,3-week rtfMRI-NF training intervention was conducted.Barratt impulsivityness scale version 11(BIS-11),three-factor eating questionnaire(TFEQ)and food rating scales were scored before and after intervention,and whole-brain resting state fMRI(rs-fMRI)data were obtained.Clinical scale scores,rs-fMRI regional homogeneity(ReHo)values and amplitude of low frequency fluctuation(ALFF)values were compared before and after intervention.Then brain regions with differences of ReHo and ALFF values before and after intervention were explored,and correlations of values of rs-fMRI data differences and clinical scale score differences were analyzed.Results BIS-11 score,TFEQ emotional eating(TFEQ-EE)score and food rating scales scores decreased,while TFEQ cognitive restraint(TFEQ-CR)scores increased in obese adults after intervention(all P<0.05).ReHo values in right inferior frontal gyrus,right anterior cingulate and left precuneus increased,while of left middle temporal gyrus decreased(all corrected P<0.05).ALFF values of left precuneus increased,whereas of left middle occipital gyrus,right superior occipital gyrus,left calcarine fissure and surrounding cortex and left supramarginal and angular gyrus decreased(all corrected P<0.05).ReHo difference in right anterior cingulate was negatively correlated with BIS-11 scores difference(r=-0.601,P<0.05),and ALFF difference in left precuneus was negatively correlated with TFEQ-EE difference(r=-0.478,P<0.05).Conclusion rtfMRI-NF intervention could correct disorder of cerebral functional areas in obese adults and change high-calorie food preference and poor dietary habits.
7.Design of intelligent airborne soldier physical training system based on human body composition analysis

Objective To design an intelligent airborne soldier physical training system based on human body composition analysis to solve the problems in diversity of training mode,targeted training plan and high incidence of military training-related injuries.Methods The intelligent airborne military physical training system was designed with B/S architecture and developed with Python language,which was composed of four functional modules for airborne soldier information acquisition,trainee physical fitness state assessment,physical fitness training program recommendation and airborne soldier physical fitness training program evaluation.The airborne soldier information acquisition module collected and analyzed the trainee physiological parameter information with a human body composition analyzer,clarified the parameter characteristics related to physical training with considerations on military physical training requirements and constructed a trainee physical fitness assessment parameter model;the trainee physical fitness state assessment module established an evaluation model based on machine learning to realize stage-by-stage physical fitness evaluation for airborne soldiers;the physical fitness training program recommendation module was constructed based on the physical training feature similarity algorithm and graph embedding theory to provide decision making assistance for program development of airborne military physical training;the airborne soldier physical fitness training program evaluation module compared the physical fitness and evaluation results before and after training by means of list and chart,and updated the training program based on the evaluation results by calling the physical training program recommendation module.Results The intelligent airborne soldier physical training system contributed to forming an individualized physical fitness training recommendation mechanism after trainee body evaluation,modifying training program based on comparison and feedback for stage-by-stage training evaluation,so as to decrease the incidence of military training-related injuries while increasing the training efficiency.Conclusion The system developed improves airborne soldier physical training in rationality and reliability,and provides references for intelligent military training of the PLA.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(2):16-23]
8.Advance in treatment of Class Ⅱ malocclusion with mandibular retrusion

Mandibular retrusion is a common dentofacial deformity of maxillofacial region in clinical practice,which seriously af-fects facial appearance and oral function.Severe mandibular retrusion can lead to systemic diseases,and even lead to sleep apnea,which is life-threatening.The etiology of mandibular retrusion is not clear,but heredity,bad habits and endocrine dysfunction are related to its occurrence and development.At present,functional appliance treatment,camouflage treatment,combined orthodontic and orthognathic treatment are the main ways to treat mandibular retrusion.This article discusses the pathogenesis,clinical manifes-tations,and treatment strategies of class Ⅱ malocclusion with mandibular retrusion.
9.A study on the practical effect of critical value management based on the goal and key result approach

Objective To explore the effectiveness of the OKR method in improving the efficiency of the whole process of critical value management,and to provide new ideas for the implementation of medical quality improvement in other medical insti-tutions.Methods A hospital in Tianjin was selected as the study object,which used the OKR method to reform the management of critical value since January 2024.The core goal of"improving the effectiveness of critical value management"was set,and the goal was broken down into quantitative key results such as"the rate of receiving the critical value system is over 95%"and"the rate of completing the standardised writing of medical records is up to 85%".Results After the reform,several quantitative key results,such as the completion rate of critical care medical record writing,the rate of standardised medical record writing,and the rate of overtime acceptance,were all better than before.Conclusion Through the OKR method to unify the whole hospital's strategic objectives,and the dynamic adjustment of the program based on data review,the hospital's critical value management efficiency has been significantly improved,effectively guaranteeing the safety of patients,and providing new perspectives and methods for the management of critical value in other medical institutions.

This paper summarizes the progress of theoretical research and practice of One Health in China,and discusses the paradigm of One Health governance to improve the prevention and control of infectious diseases in China and the world,and provide an example for the improvement of the public health system.In particular,China has long history to apply the concept of One Health in the national schistosomiasis control programmes and patriotic health campaigns,which were not only focusing on human health,but also emphasizing the sustainable development of animal health and ecological environment.At the same time,the application of tools such as system dynamics model,eDNA technology,One Health economic assessment and global One Health index(GOHI)in the field of disease control and environmental health provides technical support for the concept of One Health.Despite the challenges of practical application of these tools,the One Health concept will play a greater role in providing sustainable solutions for human-animal-environmental health by strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration,improving standardization protocols and promoting inter-national cooperation.
