OBJECTIVE: Varied acupoint selections represent a potential cause of the uncertainty surrounding the efficacy of acupuncture for knee osteoarthritis (OA). Skin temperature, a guiding factor for acupoint selection, may help to address this issue. This study explored thermal sensitization of acupoints used for the treatment of knee OA. METHODS: This cross-sectional case-control study enrolled cases aged 45-75 years with symptomatic knee OA and age- and gender-matched non-knee OA controls in a 1:1 ratio. All participants underwent infrared thermographic imaging. The primary outcome was the relative skin temperature of acupoint (STA), and the secondary outcome was the absolute STA of 11 acupoints. The Z test was used to compare the relative and absolute STAs between the groups. Principal component analysis was used to extract the common factors (CFs, acupoint cluster) in the STAs. A general linear model was used to identify factors affecting the STA in the knee OA cases. For the group comparisons of relative STA, P < 0.0045 (adjusted for 11 acupoints through Bonferroni correction) was considered to indicate statistical significance. For other analyses, P < 0.05 was used as the threshold for statistical significance. RESULTS: The analysis included 308 participants, consisting of 151 cases (mean age: [64.58 ± 6.67] years; male: 25.83%; mean body mass index: [25.70 ± 3.16] kg/m²) and 157 controls (mean age: [63.37 ± 5.96] years; male: 26.11%; mean body mass index: [24.47 ± 2.84] kg/m²). The relative STAs of ST34 (P = 0.0001), EX-LE2 (P < 0.0001), EX-LE5 (P = 0.0006), SP10 (P < 0.0001), BL40 (P = 0.0012) and GB39 (P = 0.0037) were higher in the knee OA group. No difference was found in the STAs of ST35, ST36, SP9, GB33 and GB34. Four CFs were identified for relative STA in both groups. The acupoints within each CF were consistent between the groups. The mean values of the relative STAs across each CF were higher in the knee OA group. In the knee OA cases, no factors were observed to affect the relative STA, while age and gender were found to affect the absolute STA. CONCLUSION Among patients with knee OA, thermal sensitization occurs in the acupoints of the lower extremity, exhibiting localized and regional thermal consistencies. The thermally sensitized acupoints that we identified in this study, ST34, SP10, EX-LE2, EX-LE5, GB39 and BL40, may be good choices for the acupuncture treatment of knee OA. Various techniques have been described for reconstructing the skin of the penile shaft; however, no universally accepted standard exists for correcting buried penis in adults. We aimed to describe a new technique for correcting an adult-acquired buried penis through a diamond-shaped incision at the penopubic junction. We retrospectively analyzed data from patients treated with our technique between March 2019 and June 2023 in the Department of Andrology, Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital (Nanjing, China). Forty-two adult males with buried penises, with a mean (±standard deviation [s.d.]) age of 26.6 (±6.6) years, underwent surgery. All patients were obese, with an average (±s.d.) body mass index of 35.56 (±3.23) kg m -2 . In addition to phalloplasty, 32 patients concurrently underwent circumcision, and 28 underwent suprapubic liposuction. The mean (±s.d.) duration of the operation was 98.02 (±13.28) min. The mean (±s.d.) duration of follow-up was 6.71 (±3.43) months. The length in the flaccid unstretched state postoperatively was significantly greater than that preoperatively (mean ± s.d: 5.55±1.19 cm vs 1.94±0.59 cm, P < 0.01). Only minor complications, such as wound disruption (7.1%) and infection (4.8%), were observed. The mean (±s.d.) score of patient satisfaction was 4.02 (±0.84) on a scale of 5. This technique provides excellent cosmetic and functional outcomes with a minimal risk of complications. However, additional clinical studies are needed to evaluate the long-term effects of this procedure.

Objective: To discover molecular markers associated with lung adenocarcinoma diagnosis/prognosis and drug resistance through screening of differentially expressed genes based on published chip data in gene expression databases using bioinformatics methods. Methods: Comprehensive analysis was performed in available mRNA microarray datasets including lung adenocarcinoma tissues dataset GSE32863 and lung adenocarcinoma taxane-platin resistance dataset GSE77209 from the gene expression omnibus(GEO) database. Gene ontology enrichment analysis, gene pathway enrichment analysis and protein interaction network analysis were performed based on significantly correlated genes. The expression level of genes was validated in the cancer genome atlas(TCGA) dataset. Survival differences were assessed by the log-rank test in TCGA lung adenocarcinoma dataset. Based on the publications genomics of drug sensitivity in cancer(GDSC) database in CellMiner cross database(CellMiner CDB), Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between differentially expressed genes and the half-maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50) of anticancer drugs. Results : There were a total of 77 genes which had a different expression in resistance lung adenocarcinoma cells and lung adenocarcinoma cancer tissues. The functional enrichment analysis showed that these co-different expression genes were mainly enriched in microtubule, extracellular exosome, cell cycle and signaling by nuclear receptors. Protein-protein interactions(PPI) network screened 6 most connected genes as molecular complex(MCODE). Among the MCODE, overexpressed ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 T(UBE2T), kinesin family member 20A(KIF20A), PCNA clamp associated factor(KIAA0101), pituitary tumor-transforming gene 1(PTTG1) and NIMA related kinase 2(NEK2) were associated with poor outcomes. Survival analysis results showed that these five genes were upregulated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and drug-resistant cells and were significantly associated with poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma patients. Drug sensitivity analysis results suggested that high expression of PTTG1 and UBE2T was significantly associated with sensitivity to multiple anticancer drugs, including paclitaxel and docetaxel. RT-PCR validation showed that PTTG1 andUBE2T were highly expressed in docetaxel-resistant cells A549-TXR and H358-TXR. Conclusion PTTG1 andUBE2T holds the potential to be chemoresistance markers in lung adenocarcinoma.

OBJECTIVE To explore the characteristics and influential factors of pharmaceutical clinic service demands， providing evidence for optimizing pharmaceutical service models and facilitating pharmaceutical service models of pharmacist role transformation. METHODS A cross-sectional survey design was adopted， and 410 outpatient participants were selected from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center through convenience sampling for questionnaire administration from February to May 2025. Kano model was applied to analyze the demand attributes of 25 pharmaceutical services， while questionnaires were used to assess patients’ awareness and demand status. Subgroup analyses were conducted based on key demographic variables such as gender， age， educational attainment， and economic burdens， to SACA- systematically examine the differences in Kano attribute classification among patients in each subgroup. RESULTS The awareness rate of pharmaceutical outpatient services among patients was only 14.63%， yet those who were aware demonstrated a significantly higher demand rate for such services compared to those who were unaware （P＜0.001）. The demand for pharmaceutical clinic services exhibited a hierarchical characteristic： twelve items were identified as attractive attributes （e. g.， providing suggestions for more affordable treatment options， offering online consultation services， etc.）， five items as expected attributes （e.g.， having a good attitude and being able to patiently answer your questions， etc.）， three items as must-have attributes （e.g.， providing guidance on medication dosage and usage， providing guidance on medication precautions， etc.）， five items as indifferent attributes （e.g.， providing treatment plan recommendations based on the patient’s condition）. There were zero items classified as reverse attribute. Subgroup analysis revealed that female patients showed greater concern for “neat and clean attire of medical staff” than male patients （P＜0.001）； patients under 60 years of age demonstrated stronger demand for “providing treatment plan recommendations based on patients’ conditions” compared to patients aged 60 or above （P＝0.016）； those with below high school education placed greater emphasis on “providing guidance on medication precautions” compared to those with a high school education or above （P＝0.011）； patients with lower economic burdens exhibited stronger preferences for “neat and clean attire of medical staff ” （P＝0.002）. CONCLUSIONS The public awareness rate of pharmaceutical clinic services is considerably low； however， those who are aware of such services demonstrate significantly higher demand. The medication safety-related services and convenience-oriented demands should be prioritized in the development of pharmaceutical clinics. Moreover， the study also revealed that factors such as gender， age， educational level， and economic burdens exert significant influences on patients’ service demands.

Objective To explore the correlation between serum hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)levels and cerebral microbleeds(CMBs)and cognitive impairment and to assess the predictive value of HIF-1α for CSVD-related cognitive impairment.Methods A total of 104 patients with CSVD who attended the Department of Neurology,First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from June 2022 to November 2023 were enrolled.All enrolled patients were subjected to basic statistics,cranial nuclear magnetic resonance examination,cognitive function assessment,and serum HIF-1α test,and the number and location of CMBs were counted.Based on the above data the enrolled patients were grouped.The correlation between HIF-1α and cognitive function and CMBs was studied the influencing factors of CMBs and cognitive impairment were analyzed,and the predictive value of HIF-1α on the occurrence of cognitive impairment was evaluated.Results There were statistically significant differences in HIF-1α levels and cognitive function among different CMBs groups.Serum HIF-1α levels were significantly negatively correlated with overall cognitive function,visuospatial and executive function,attention,and delayed recall,and serum HIF-1α was positively correlated with the number of CMBs.HIF-1α may be a risk factor for CMBs and cognitive impairment associated with CSVD,and serum HIF-1α has potential in predict the cognitive impairment caused by CSVD.Conclusion Serum levels of HIF-1α were associated with the number of CMB and CSVD-related cognitive impairment,and serum levels of HIF-1α may have a predictive value for CSVD-related cognitive impairment.

[Purpose]To analyze the trends of incidence and mortality of malignant tumors in Linzhou City of Henan Province from 2010 to 2019.[Methods]The incidence and mortality data of malignant tumors of Linzhou cancer registration areas from 2010 to 2019 were collected and evaluated for data quality.The crude incidence/mortality rates and age-standardized incidence/mortality rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC/ASMRC)were calculated by sex,age and can-cer type.Joinpoint software was used to calculate the average annual percentage change(AAPC)to analyze the trends from 2010 to 2019.[Results]From 2010 to 2019,the crude incidence of malig-nant tumors in Linzhou City showed an upward trend,with an AAPC of 2.09％(95％CI:0.58％～3.63％),while the ASIRC tended to be stable.The incidence of malignant tumors showed a signifi-cant upward trend in the 15～29 and 60～69 age groups,and a significant downward trend in the 70～79 age group.From 2010 to 2019,the ASIRC of esophageal cancer and stomach cancer in both men and women showed a significant downward trend,while that of lung cancer and prostate cancer increased in men,and the incidences of thyroid cancer,uterus cancer,cervical cancer,lung cancer and breast cancer increased significantly in women.From 2010 to 2019,the crude mortality of malignant tumors in Linzhou showed a significant upward trend,with an AAPC of 1.18％(95％CI:0.88％～1.48％),while ASMRC showed a significant downward trend,with an AAPC of-1.63％(95％CI:-1.86％～-1.40％).The mortality increased in the group aged 80 and above,while the other age groups remained in a downward or stable state.From 2010 to 2019,the ASMRC of stomach cancer and esophageal cancer in both men and women showed a down-ward trend,while those of prostate cancer,and malignant tumors of the lip,oral cavity and pha-ryngeal in men increased,and that of ovarian cancer in women increased significantly.[Conclu-sion]The disease burden of malignant tumors in Linzhou City is still heavy.The incidence of common cancer types such as thyroid cancer,prostate cancer and lung cancer shows a significant-ly increasing trends from 2010 to 2019.

Objective To analyze the evaluation value of basilar artery curvature based on compu-ted tomography angiography for the long-term prognosis of elderly patients with pontine infarc-tion.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 98 elderly patients with pontine infarc-tion admitted in Guangyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2020 to September 2023.According to the prognosis status,they were divided into good prognosis group(n=61)and poor prognosis group(n=37).The computed tomography angiography parameters of basilar artery curvature were compared between the two groups to analyze the correlation with long-term prognosis of patients.The predictive values of these parameters in predicting the prog-nosis was assessed.Results The poor prognosis group had significantly smaller diameter of basi-lar artery,longer length in basilar artery curvature,and larger curvature index than the good prog-nosis group(P＜0.01).The diameter of basilar artery was negatively correlated,and the length in basilar artery curvature and the curvature index were positively correlated with poor prognosis in the elderly patients with pontine infarction(P＜0.01).The length of the basilar artery curvature and the curvature index were risk factors for poor prognosis in elderly patients with pontine infarction(P＜0.01).The diameter of the basilar artery was a protective factor for poor prognosis in elderly patients with pontine infarction(P＜0.01).ROC curve analysis indicated that the area under curve value of combined above three computed tomography angiography parameters of bas-ilar artery curvature in predicting the long-term prognosis of elderly patients with pontine infarc-tion was 0.938(95％CI:0.870～0.977),with a sensitivity of 94.59％and a specificity of 75.41％.Conclusion computed tomography angiography can evaluate the degree of basilar artery curva-ture,intuitively reflect the morphological characteristics of basilar artery,and provide imaging ba-sis for predicting the long-term prognosis of elderly patients with pontine infarction.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of a cetyl alcohol-containing moisturizing cream (referred to as the emollient) in improving clinical symptoms and preventing disease relapse during the remission phase of mild to moderate infantile atopic dermatitis (AD).Methods:A single-center, investigator-blinded, randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted from February 2022 to October 2023. Sixty participants aged >28 days to ≤2 years with mild to moderate AD (Investigator′s Global Assessment (IGA) score 2 or 3) and controlled disease (IGA 0 or 1) were enrolled. Participants were randomized 1∶1 to either the experimental group (topical emollient applied twice daily combined with a moisturizing cleanser for daily bathing) or the control group (moisturizing cleanser alone). Assessments at weeks 2, 4, 8, and 12 included AD relapse rates, clinical severity scores (IGA and Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI)), and adverse events.Results:Fifty-six participants were included in the full analysis set. The median time to relapse was 12.0 (6.0-72.0) days in the experimental group versus 8.5 (3.0-19.0) days in the control group (log-rank test: χ2=3.079, P=0.213). Relapse rates were 80.77% (21/26) in the experimental group and 95.83% (23/24) in the control group ( χ2=2.682, P=0.101). The experimental group showed significantly lower IGA scores at weeks 2 and 12 ( P<0.05) and lower EASI scores at weeks 4 and 12 ( P<0.05). Adverse event rates were 8.0% (2/25) and 7.7% (2/26) in the experimental and control groups, respectively ( χ2=0.002, P>0.05) Conclusion:The combination of the cetyl alcohol- containing moisturizing cream and moisturizing cleanser during AD remission may improve clinical symptoms and modestly delay relapse, with a low incidence of adverse events.

Objective To design an intelligent airborne soldier physical training system based on human body composition analysis to solve the problems in diversity of training mode,targeted training plan and high incidence of military training-related injuries.Methods The intelligent airborne military physical training system was designed with B/S architecture and developed with Python language,which was composed of four functional modules for airborne soldier information acquisition,trainee physical fitness state assessment,physical fitness training program recommendation and airborne soldier physical fitness training program evaluation.The airborne soldier information acquisition module collected and analyzed the trainee physiological parameter information with a human body composition analyzer,clarified the parameter characteristics related to physical training with considerations on military physical training requirements and constructed a trainee physical fitness assessment parameter model;the trainee physical fitness state assessment module established an evaluation model based on machine learning to realize stage-by-stage physical fitness evaluation for airborne soldiers;the physical fitness training program recommendation module was constructed based on the physical training feature similarity algorithm and graph embedding theory to provide decision making assistance for program development of airborne military physical training;the airborne soldier physical fitness training program evaluation module compared the physical fitness and evaluation results before and after training by means of list and chart,and updated the training program based on the evaluation results by calling the physical training program recommendation module.Results The intelligent airborne soldier physical training system contributed to forming an individualized physical fitness training recommendation mechanism after trainee body evaluation,modifying training program based on comparison and feedback for stage-by-stage training evaluation,so as to decrease the incidence of military training-related injuries while increasing the training efficiency.Conclusion The system developed improves airborne soldier physical training in rationality and reliability,and provides references for intelligent military training of the PLA.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(2):16-23]

Objective:To summarize the applications of machine learning (ML) in sarcopenia research through bibliometric analysis.Methods:Literature on ML applications in sarcopenia research was retrieved on the Web of Science database from its inception to December 2024, along with quality assessment. The CiteSpace software was used to conduct bibliometric analysis of the included literature in terms of publication volume, journals, countries, institutions, authors, co-citations, and keywords.Results:A total of 753 articles were obtained, with 480 being of high quality. There was an overall upward trend in the publication volume from 1999 to 2024. The United States led in total publications (119), with China ranking second (97). At the institutional level, Harvard Medical School led globally (14 publications). Kyung Won Kim had the highest publication count (10), and Alfonso J. Cruz-Jentoft was the most cited author (173 citations). His 2019 paper in Age and Ageing achieved the highest co-citation count. J Cachexia Sarcopenia (with a citation frequency of 208) and Age and Ageing (with a centrality of 0.22) were journals with high impacts in this field. "Body composition" (78 occurrences) was the most frequently occurring keyword apart from the search terms, followed by "computed tomography" (54 occurrences) and "mortality" (47 occurrences). The keyword clustering labels include "prognostic value" (first) and "sarcopenia prediction" (second). Conclusions:Current research hotspots involve applying ML to the diagnosis, risk stratification, prognostic prediction, and health management of sarcopenia. Future trends will focus on its deep integration into comprehensive sarcopenia management and on innovating multimodal data-driven algorithms to improve performance and validation.
