Objective: To systematically analyze the revisions content and technological development trends of microbiological standards in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (ChP) 2025 Edition, and explore its novel requirements in risk-based pharmaceutical product lifecycle management.
Methods: A comprehensive review was conducted on 26 microbiological-related standards to summarize the revision directions and scientific implications from perspectives including the revision overview, international harmonization of microbiological standards, risk-based quality management system, and novel tools and methods with Chinese characteristics.
Results: The ChP 2025 edition demonstrates three prominent features in microbiological-related standards: enhanced international harmonization, introduced emerging molecular biological technologies, and established a risk-based microbiological quality control system.
Conclusion: The new edition of the Pharmacopoeia has systematically constructed a microbiological standard system, which significantly improves the scientificity, standardization and applicability of the standards, providing a crucial support for advancing the microbiological quality control in pharmaceutical industries of China.

Objective: To explore the impact of sleep quality, experience of childhood maltreatment, and their interaction on depressive symptoms among middle school students, so as to provide the reference for early intervention of depressive symptoms among middle school students. Methods: From September to December 2023, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 1 231 students from two secondary schools in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province by a convenient sampling method. The survey included general demographic information, Childhood Trauma Questionnaire Short Form, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Short Version of Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale. The Chi square test was used to analyze the differences in depressive symptom, sleep quality and childhood maltreatment among students with different demographic characteristics. Correlation analysis was conducted using Logistic regression, and interaction analysis was performed by both additive and multiplicative interaction models. Results: The detection rate of depressive symptoms among middle school students was 22.7%, and the rate for high school students (35.2%) was significantly higher than that for middle school students (17.0%) ( χ 2=50.35, P <0.01). The detection rates of depressive symptoms among middle school students with a history of childhood maltreatment and poor sleep quality were 45.8% and 44.0%, respectively. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that compared to students without a history of childhood maltreatment, students with a history of childhood maltreatment had a higher risk of depressive symptoms ( OR =4.49，95% CI =3.31~ 6.09 , P <0.01);students with poor sleep quality had a higher risk of depressive symptoms than students with good sleep quality ( OR = 5.99，95% CI =4.37~8.22, P <0.01).The interaction results showed that the presence of childhood maltreatment and poor sleep quality had an additive interaction on the occurrence of depression in middle school students. Compared with students without childhood maltreatment and having good sleep quality, students with childhood maltreatment and poor sleep quality had a 22.49 times higher risk of developing depression ( OR =22.49，95% CI =14.22~35.59, P <0.01). Conclusion Depressive symptoms among middle school students are associated with childhood maltreatment and poor sleep quality, and there is an additive interaction between childhood maltreatment and poor sleep quality on the impact of depressive symptoms.

Synonyms of Fangji Fulingtang exist in ancient medical books， while the formula composition in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber is more widespread and far-reaching. In this formula， Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix， Astragali Radix， Cinnamomi Ramulus， Poria， and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma are the dried root of Stephania tetrandra， the dried root of Astragalus embranaceus var. mongholicus， the dried shoot of Cinnamomum cassia， the dried sclerotium of Poria cocos， and the dried root and rhizome of Glycyrrhiza uralensis， respectively. Fangji Fulingtang is mainly produced into powder， with the dosage and decocting method used in the past dynasties basically following the original formula. Objective To analyze the effect of residual cholesterol (RC) on hearing loss in noise-exposed workers. Methods A total of 3 412 workers engaged in noise operation work in an underground railway enterprise were selected as the research subjects using the judgment sampling method. Their occupational health examination data were collected to analyze the relationship between RC and hearing loss. Results The noise intensity of workplace in the underground rail enterprise was 80.0-85.0 (81.4±3.2) dB(A). The detection rate of hearing loss was 20.2% (691/3 412). The rates of abnormal total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were 35.6%, 25.7%, 9.5% and 42.4%, respectively. The median and the 25th and 75th percentiles [M(P₂₅,P₇₅)] of RC level were 0.24 (0.15, 0.37) mmol/L. The levels of total cholesterol, triacylglycerol and RC of workers in hearing loss group were higher than those in normal hearing group [M(P₂₅,P₇₅): 4.91(4.37, 5.58) vs 4.84(4.30, 5.46) mmol/L, 1.29(0.91, 1.93) vs 1.16(0.82, 1.67) mmol/L, 0.26(0.16, 0.41) vs 0.24(0.14, 0.37) mmol/L, all P<0.05]. The detection rate of hearing loss in abnormal triglyceride group was higher than that in normal triglyceride group (24.8% vs 18.7%, P<0.01), and the detection rate of hearing loss in abnormal HDL-C group was higher than that in normal HDL-C group (25.0% vs 19.8%, P<0.05). The higher the serum RC level, the higher the detection rate of hearing loss (P<0.01). Multivariate logistic regression result showed that individual with older age, longer work time and higher serum RC level had higher risk of hearing abnormality (all P<0.05), and the risk of hearing abnormality was higher in patients with abnormal fasting blood glucose than patients with normal faseing blood glucose (P<0.05) after controlling for confounding factors such as gender, alcohol consumption, body mass index, and elevated blood pressure. However, abnormal triacylglycerol and HDL-C levels were not significantly related to the risk of hearing abnormality (both P>0.05). Conclusion Serum RC levels are an independent risk factor for hearing loss among noise-exposed workers exposed to noise level of 80.0-85.0 dB(A) in the workplace.

Objective: To prepare platelet membrane biomimetic liposomes loaded with vincristine sulfate (VCR) for targeted delivery to tumor. Methods: Vincristine sulfate liposomes (LIPO) were prepared using the pH-gradient method, followed by the fusion of platelet membranes and subsequent drug loading to obtain platelet membrane biomimetic liposomes (PLM-LIPO). The particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), Zeta potential, and drug encapsulation efficiency (EE%) of both liposomes were characterized. The tumor-targeting capability was evaluated through in vitro cellular experiments and in vivo biodistribution studies. Results: The optimal preparation conditions for LIPO were determined as follows: DPPC-to-cholesterol molar ratio of 1∶1, internal aqueous phase of 0.3 M pH 4.0 citrate buffer, external aqueous phase of 1 M Na HPO solution, drug-to-lipid ratio of 1∶10, drug loading temperature of 60℃, and loading time of 10 minutes. The LIPO exhibited a mean particle size of (147.3±2.24) nm, PDI of 0.078±0.014, Zeta potential of (-3.54±0.75) mV, and EE% of 91.37±0.47. For PLM-LIPO, prepared via membrane fusion followed by drug loading, the mean particle size was (185.3±3.61) nm, PDI was 0.075±0.022, Zeta potential was (-18.91±1.54) mV, and EE% was 63.36±2.45. In the CD62P validation experiment, the fluorescence intensity of PLM-LIPO was five times higher than that of LIPO. In vitro cellular uptake experiments revealed that PLM-LIPO showed 1.3-fold and 1.2-fold higher uptake rates compared to LIPO at 6 h and 12 h, respectively. In vivo experiments demonstrated that 1h after administration, the accumulation of PLM-LIPO at tumor sites was 4-fold higher than that of LIPO and 6-7 times higher than that in healthy mice. Conclusion: The platelet membrane biomimetic liposomes loaded with vincristine sulfate were successfully developed. Both cellular uptake and tissue distribution studies confirmed the PLM-LIPO enhanced tumor-targeting capability.

BACKGROUND:The traditional surgical treatment for stromal corneal dystrophy is penetrating keratoplasty.In recent years,more and more doctors are considering using deep lamellar keratoplasty to treat stromal corneal dystrophy.Few studies comparing penetrating keratoplasty and deep lamellar keratoplasty for stromal corneal dystrophy have been reported in China. OBJECTIVE:To compare the clinical efficacy of deep lamellar keratoplasty and penetrating keratoplasty in the treatment of stromal corneal dystrophy. METHODS:Fifty-seven patients(57 eyes)diagnosed with stromal corneal dystrophy and admitted at the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command from January 2000 to January 2018 were selected,including 18 males and 39 females,aged(52.9±20.0)years.They were divided into two groups based on the surgical procedure:21 cases(21 eyes)in the deep lamellar keratoplasty group and 36 cases(36 eyes)in the penetrating keratoplasty group.A 12-month follow-up was conducted to observe the best-corrected visual acuity,corneal endothelial cell density,corneal grafttransparency,intraoperative and postoperative complications,and recurrence of the original disease. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Visual acuity at 1,3,6,and 12 months postoperatively was higher than preoperatively in both groups(P<0.05).The postoperative best-corrected visual acuity between the two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05).With the prolongation of postoperative time,the corneal endothelial cell density gradually decreased in the two groups,and the annual loss rate of corneal endothelial cell density in the penetrating keratoplasty group was higher than that of the deep lamellar keratoplasty group at 6 and 12 months postoperatively(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in corneal grafttransparency between the two groups at 12 months postoperatively(P>0.05).There were six cases of complications in the deep lamellar keratoplasty group and 14 cases of complications in the penetrating keratoplasty group.There was no recurrence in 57 cases within 12 months after surgery,and the difference in recurrence rates between the two groups at 5 years after surgery was not significant(P>0.05).The graftsurvival rates at 5 years after surgery in the penetrating keratoplasty group and the deep lamellar keratoplasty group were 83%and 86%,respectively,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).To conclude,deep lamellar keratoplasty could be considered as an alternative to penetrating keratoplasty in the treatment of stromal corneal dystrophy.

Purpose: It was aimed to clarify the casual connection between prostate cancer (PCa) and arthritis by utilizing two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis and data from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database. Materials and Methods: This study utilized NHANES data. Through association analysis and risk stratification analysis, the association between arthritis and PCa were examined. MR analysis was performed to elucidate the causal relationship between arthritis and PCa. Sensitivity analysis and Steiger directionality test confirmed the reliability of the MR analysis results. Results: A total of 23,608 (PCa:controls=413:23,195) participants after a sample exclusion and variable definition process were screened in NHANES database. Adjustments across three diverse models consistently revealed a notable influence of arthritis on PCa progression. Arthritis was identified as a risk factor for PCa (odds ratio [OR] 1.88, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.36–2.62, p<0.001). Subsequent analysis indicated that in the arthritis-adjusted model with multiple covariates, the area under the curve of the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.94. The inverse variance weighting method of MR analysis showed a causal relationship between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and PCa (OR 1.090, 95% CI 1.053–1.128, p<0.001) as well as osteoar-thritis and PCa (OR 1.002, 95% CI 1.001–1.004, p=0.002). This suggested that RA and osteoarthritis were risk factors for PCa. The heterogeneity (p>0.05), horizontal pleiotropy (p>0.05), leave-one-out and Steiger test confirmed reliability of MR results. Conclusions NHANES database and MR analyses identified arthritis as a risk factor for PCa, offering fresh avenues for preventive and therapeutic approaches.

OBJECTIVE To systematically evaluate the efficacy of dydrogesterone combined with estradiol valerate for the prevention of intrauterine adhesion （IUA） and prognosis improvement after induced abortion. METHODS Retrieved from CNKI， Wanfang Data， VIP， CBM， PubMed， Embase and the Cochrane Library， randomized controlled trial （RCT） about conventional treatment combined with dydrogesterone and estradiol valerate （trial group） versus conventional treatment （control group） for the prevention of IUA in patients after induced abortion were collected from the inception to Dec. 2024. After screening the literature， extracting data and evaluating the quality of literature， meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. RESULTS A total of 12 RCTs were included， involving 1 109 patients. Meta-analysis showed that the postoperative incidence of IUA [RR＝0.30， 95%CI （0.22， 0.41）， P＜0.000 01]， postoperative vaginal bleeding time [MD＝－1.69， 95%CI （－2.05， －1.32）， P＜0.000 01]， postoperative vaginal bleeding volume [MD＝－10.78， 95%CI （－12.19， －9.37）， P＜0.000 01]， postoperative menstrual resumption time [MD＝－6.99， 95%CI （－8.27， －5.71）， P＜0.000 01]， and the incidence of postoperative reduced menstrual flow [RR＝0.25， 95%CI （0.12， 0.56）， P＝0.000 7] were significantly lower， less or shorter than control group； postoperative endometrial thickness [MD＝ 1.90， 95%CI （1.68， 2.13）， P＜0.000 01] and the rate of postoperative re-pregnancy [RR＝6.26， 95%CI （1.88， 20.83）， P＝0.003] were significantly higher than control group. CONCLUSIONS Dydrogesterone combined with estradiol valerate may reduce the incidence of IUA after induced abortion patients， decrease postoperative vaginal bleeding volume， shorten postoperative vaginal bleeding time and postoperative menstrual resumption time， and increase postoperative endometrial thickness.
