In recent years, it has become a new direction in the field of neuroscience to explore the mode characteristics, functional significance and interaction mechanism of resting spontaneous electroencephalography (EEG) and task-evoked EEG. This paper introduced the basic characteristics of spontaneous EEG and task-evoked EEG, and summarized the core role of spontaneous EEG in shaping the adaptability of the nervous system. It focused on how the spontaneous EEG interacted with the task-evoked EEG in the process of task processing, and emphasized that the spontaneous EEG could significantly affect the performance of tasks such as perception, cognition and movement by regulating neural activities and predicting external stimuli. These studies provide an important theoretical basis for in-depth understanding of the principle and mechanism of brain information processing in resting and task states, and point out the direction for further exploring the complex relationship between them in the future.

The intelligent oxygen management system is a software designed with various algorithms to automatically titrate inhaled oxygen concentration according to specific patterns. This system can be integrated into various ventilator devices and used during assisted ventilation processes, aiming to maintain the patient's blood oxygen saturation within a target range. This paper employs a scoping review methodology, focusing on research related to intelligent oxygen management systems in neonatal intensive care units. It reviews the fundamental principles, application platforms, and clinical outcomes of these systems, providing a theoretical basis for clinical implementation.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of HIV pretreatment drug resistance (PDR) and the transmission clusters associated with PDR-related mutations in newly diagnosed, treatment-naive patients between 2020 and 2023 in Dehong prefecture, Yunnan province, China. METHODS: Demographic information and plasma samples were collected from study participants. PDR was assessed using the Stanford HIV Drug Resistance Database. The Tamura-Nei 93 model within HIV-TRACE was employed to compute pairwise matches with a genetic distance of 0.015 substitutions per site. RESULTS: Among 948 treatment-naive individuals with eligible sequences, 36 HIV subtypes were identified, with unique recombinant forms (URFs) being the most prevalent (18.8%, 178/948). The overall prevalence of PDR was 12.4% (118/948), and resistance to non-nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), and protease inhibitors (PIs) was 10.7%, 1.3%, and 1.6%, respectively. A total of 91 clusters were identified, among which eight showed evidence of PDR strain transmission. The largest PDR-associated cluster consisted of six CRF01_AE drug-resistant strains carrying K103N and V179T mutations; five of these individuals had initial CD4+ cell counts < 200 cells/μL. CONCLUSION The distribution of HIV subtypes in Dehong is diverse and complex. PDR was moderately prevalent (12.4%) between 2020 and 2023. Evidence of transmission of CRF01_AE strains carrying K103N and V179T mutations was found. Routine surveillance of PDR and the strengthening of control measures are essential to limit the spread of drug-resistance HIV strains.

AIM To compare the in vivo pharmacokinetics of paeoniflorin,paeoniflorin,liquiritin,isoliquiritin,liquiritigenin and glycyrrhizic acid from Shaoyao Gancao Decoction in normal and gastric ulcer rats.METHODS Six rats were randomly assigned into two groups,after which the 75%ethanol-induced gastric ulcer model was established,the gastric tissues were collected.Twelve rats were randomly assigned into two groups and given intragastric administration(9.9 g/kg),after which blood collection was made at different time points,UPLC-MS/MS method was adopted in the determination of plasma concentrations,and main pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated.RESULTS Prolonged Tmax(P＜0.05,P＜0.01)of various active constituents,prolonged T1/2,MRT0-t(P＜0.05,P＜0.01),increased Cmax,AUC(P＜0.05,P＜0.01)and decreased Vd/F,CL/F(P＜0.05,P＜0.01)of paeoniflorin,increased Cmax,AUC(P＜0.05,P＜0.01)and decreased CL/F(P＜0.05)of albiflorin,prolonged MRT(P＜0.05),increased AUC(P＜0.05)and decreased CL/F(P＜0.01)of liquiritin,prolonged MRT(P＜0.05,P＜0.01)and decreased Vd/F(P＜0.05)of isoliquiritin,no obviously changed pharmacokinetic parameters(except for Tmax)of liquiritigenin(P＞0.05),and prolonged T1/2,MRT0-∞(P＜0.05,P＜0.01),increased Cmax,AUC(P＜0.05,P＜0.01)and decreased CL/F(P＜0.01)of glycyrrhizic acid were observable in the model group as compared with those in the normal group.CONCLUSION Gastric ulcer exhibits certain influences on the velocities and degrees of in vivo absorption and metabolism of active constituents from Shaoyao Gancao Decoction.

"Rooted in agriculture,rural areas,and farmers;Focused on integration"is an important gripper for Henan College of Animal Husbandry Economics to serve the development of regional agricul-ture and animal husbandry industries for high-level application-oriented universities.The courses of bio-chemistry and molecular biology are the foundational courses for agricultural majors in our school,and are an important carrier for the integration of science and technology in the construction of new agricultural science.In order to achieve the ideological and political goals of the curriculum under the background of the new agricultural curriculum,the course team has built a training platform for students'"agriculture,rural areas,and farmers"sentiments from the aspects of disciplinary development history,practical appli-cation of agriculture,rural areas,alumni excellent cases,ecological civilization,professional ethics,and bioethics through the condensation of ideological and political cases;In the arrangements of ideological and political cases and practical project,industry development,agriculture,rural areas,teacher re-search,school enterprise cooperation projects,and student independent innovation projects were connect-ed and integrated to establish a"fusion"platform for student knowledge application,thereby achieving the sentiment cultivation of students'"rooted in agriculture,rural areas,and farmers"and the enhance-ment of their integration capability.During the teaching process,blended online and offline teaching was applied to transform single classroom teaching into full cycle participation in talent cultivation.By integra-ting ideological and political elements into online tasks before class and teaching in the"six stages"of class and the second classroom after class,ideological and political goals were achieved through challeng-ing,advanced,and innovative knowledge applications.Through curriculum reform,the employment rate of students in the frontline of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers has significantly increased,and their ability to solve the problems of agriculture,rural areas and farmers through disciplinary integration has been effectively improved.This has successfully enhanced their awareness of serving agriculture,rural ar-eas,and farmers,strengthened their professional thinking,and stimulated their endogenous motivation to use curriculum knowledge in practice.

Objective:To investigate the current status of scientific fitness literacy (SFL) and its influencing factors among Chinese adults aged 20-59 years.Methods:Totally 63 338 adults aged 20-59 years in the status of national fitness activities in 2020 from 1 January to 31 March 2020 were selected as the subjects, and they were divided into four age groups, namely, the 20-29 age group, the 30-39 age group, the 40-49 age group and the 50-59 age group. Data were analyzed by SPSS 29.0.Comparative analyses for age, gender, urban-rural difference were carried out by applying non-parametric tests, and multiple regression models were applied to find the influencing factors of SFL.Results:The SFL score of Chinese adults aged 20-59 years was 53.40 (41.67, 63.73), and the scores of cognition, attitude, ability and skills, behavior and habits sub-dimensions were 86.11 (72.22, 100.00), 62.96 (50.62, 75.31), 27.78 (11.11, 44.44) and 33.33 (11.11, 55.56), respectively. The SFL and the four sub-dimensions were demonstrated to have higher scores for males than females, and higher scores for adults in urban area than those in rural area(all P<0.01). The multiple regression results showed that regular exercise at a fitness facility (20-29 age group: β=0.321, t=5.940, P<0.01; 30-39 age group: β=0.187, t=2.937, P<0.01; 40-49 age group: β=0.230, t=3.988, P<0.01; 50-59 age group: β=0.415, t=5.671, P<0.01) was the Chinese adults' common influence factor on SFL.Motivation, evaluation by those around them, experience from exercising, and convenience and atmosphere of exercising were the main influence factors in the 20-29 and 30-39 age groups(all P<0.05).Comfort level of fitness venue, convenience, safety, and support of fitness place were the main influence factors in adults aged 40-59 years(all P<0.05). Conclusions:Chinese adults aged 20-59 years old have high SFL awareness scores, but low overall SFL scores. Surrounding people's evaluation, experience in exercise, comfort level of fitness place, convenience, safety and fitness policy support are the influential factors of scientific fitness literacy.

Aim To explore the mechanism of the effect of rosiglitazone(Rsg)on the pancreatic cancer in diabetic mice based on the impact of PPARγ on glu-cose transport and metabolism.Methods A high-fat and high sugar diet combined with STZ was used to construct T2DM model;T2DM mice and normal mice were subcutaneously injected with PANC02 cells to construct a transplanted tumor model.T2DM trans-planted tumor mice and normal transplanted tumor mice were divided into the following groups:Rsg,PPARy inhibitor(PIN-2),rosiglitazone+PPARγ in-hibitor(Rsg+PIN-2),and normal transplanted tumor mice(NDM)and T2DM transplanted tumor mice(DM)were used as control groups,respectively.Tis-sue samples were collected after intervention.Tissue pathological changes were observed by HE staining.The expressions of Ki67 and PCNA proteins were de-tected by immunohistochemistry.Cell apoptosis was detected by TUNEL assay.The expression of PPARγwas detected by immunofluorescence.The expressions of Glucokinase,GLUT2,Nkx6.1,PDX-1RT-PCR were determined by Western blot.Results Rsg could significantly reduce the tumor mass,pathological chan-ges,Ki67 and PCNA expression of transplanted tumors(P＜0.05),increase cell apoptosis and the expression of PPARγ,Glucokinase,GLUT2,Nkx6.1,PDX-1 proteins in NDM and DM mice(P＜0.05).PIN-2 could reverse the indicator changes caused by Rsg in NDM and DM mice.However,compared with NDM mice,the above related indicators of the DM group mice were more sensitive to Rsg and PIN-2.Conclu-sions Compared to non-diabetic pancreatic cancer,rosiglitazone can more sensitively inhibit the prolifera-tion of pancreatic cancer with T2DM,induce apopto-sis,and reprogram the metabolism of pancreatic cancer with T2DM by activating PPA Rγ and altering the ex-pression of glucose and lipid metabolism genes,there-by exerting an anti-cancer effect.

Objective To establish a high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS/MS)method for the detection of etomidate and etomidate acid in urine samples.Methods Protein in the urine samples was precipitated by adding acetonitrile,and the supernatant was obtained after centrifugation and filtered.The supernatant was separated on a C18 column with a mobile phase consisting of 0.1%formic acid solution and acetonitrile at a flow rate of 0.4 mL/min.The detection was performed in positive electrospray ionization(ESI)and multiple reaction monitoring(MRM)modes.The method was validated for selectivity,linearity and limit of detection(LOD),and applied to a case of etomidate poisoning death.Results The LOD of etomidate and etomidate acid were 0.2 and 0.5 ng/mL,respectively,and the limit of quantitation(LOQ)were 0.5 and 1.0 ng/mL,respectively.Good linear relationship was observed within the linear range(r>0.995 0).At three concentration levels(0.5,5,50 ng/mL for etomidate and 1,10,100 ng/mL for etomidate acid),the matrix effect was within the range of 5.42%to 18.47%,the extraction recovery rate was greater than 84.25%and the stability was greater than 88.23%.The accuracy,precision and dilution reliability all met the experimen-tal requirements.Etomidate and etomidate acid were successfully detected with the concentrations of 8.82 and 27.88 μg/mL in the urine of a deceased individual who had consumed excessive etomidate.Conclusion The method has simple pretreatment,high sensitivity and wide linear range,which can be applied to the detection of etomidate and etomidate acid in urine samples in forensic science.

Severe muscle injury is hard to heal and always results in a poor prognosis. Recent studies found that extracellular vesicle-based therapy has promising prospects for regeneration medicine, however, whether extracellular vesicles have therapeutic effects on severe muscle injury is still unknown. Herein, we extracted apoptotic extracellular vesicles derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs-ApoEVs) to treat cardiotoxin induced tibialis anterior (TA) injury and found that MSCs-ApoEVs promoted muscles regeneration and increased the proportion of multinucleated cells. Besides that, we also found that apoptosis was synchronized during myoblasts fusion and MSCs-ApoEVs promoted the apoptosis ratio as well as the fusion index of myoblasts. Furthermore, we revealed that MSCs-ApoEVs increased the relative level of creatine during myoblasts fusion, which was released via activated Pannexin 1 channel. Moreover, we also found that activated Pannexin 1 channel was highly expressed on the membrane of myoblasts-derived ApoEVs (Myo-ApoEVs) instead of apoptotic myoblasts, and creatine was the pivotal metabolite involved in myoblasts fusion. Collectively, our findings firstly revealed that MSCs-ApoEVs can promote muscle regeneration and elucidated that the new function of ApoEVs as passing inter-cell messages through releasing metabolites from activated Pannexin 1 channel, which will provide new evidence for extracellular vesicles-based therapy as well as improving the understanding of new functions of extracellular vesicles.
