Purpose: This study aimed to assess the impact of aerobic exercise at different intensities over an eight-week period on the expression and activation of cortical synaptic proteins, with the potential to reduce anxiety and improve memory in young mice. Methods: Seven-week-old C57BL/6 mice were subjected to treadmill exercises at low (n = 10), moderate (n = 10), and high intensity (n = 10) for eight weeks. Behavioral assessments were conducted to evaluate anxiety and cognitive function. To explore the underlying mechanisms, we measured the phosphorylated levels of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), cyclic adenosine monophosphate response-binding protein (CREB), protein kinase (AKT), adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase (AMPK), synapsin (S9, S549, S609), and PSD-95 in the cortex, as these are associated with synaptic strength. Additionally, the expression of doublecortin (DCX), a neurogenic factor, was analyzed in the hippocampus. Results: Exercise led to reductions in depressive and anxiety-related behaviors and elevated the levels of phosphorylated ERK, CREB, AKT, AMPK, synapsin (S9, S549, S609), and PSD-95 in the cortex of young mice. Furthermore, exercise increased DCX expression in the hippocampus. Moderate-intensity exercise yielded more pronounced effects than other intensities. Conclusion The findings of this research indicate that consistent moderate-intensity exercise increases synaptic strength and reduces depression and anxiety in young mice by activating multiple factors.

The Compilation Instructions for Expert Consensus on Clinical Application of Dieda Huoxue capsules systematically expound the development methods and evidence-based basis of this consensus. In view of the weak clinical application evidence and ambiguous indications of Dieda Huoxue capsules， the Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Wangjing Hospital took the lead and collaborated with 33 experts from 28 medical institutions nationwide. They strictly followed the World Health Organization （WHO） guideline-making norms and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment， Development and Evaluations （GRADE） evidence-grading system and completed the compilation through multidisciplinary cooperation. The workflow included constructing clinical questions （19 items were screened by the nominal group technique）， retrieving evidence （from Chinese and English databases and grey literature）， assessing safety （integrating drug monitoring data and clinical investigations）， and forming recommendations and consensus suggestions （3 recommendations were reached via the GRADE grid method， and 16 consensus suggestions were reached by the majority vote rule）. The results indicate that the consensus clearly states that this medicine （Dieda Huoxue capsules） is applicable to conditions like traumatic injury， blood stasis-induced pain， and sudden lumbar sprains. The recommended dose is 6 capsules each time， twice a day. Combining oral administration with external application can enhance the efficacy， and elderly patients should take the medicine at intervals. Safety monitoring suggests that it should be used with caution in people with a bleeding tendency and those with an allergic constitution. The compilation process involved three rounds of reviews by internal and external experts. Literature analysis， the Delphi method， and clinical applicability tests were employed to ensure methodological rigor. The compilation instructions comprehensively present key aspects such as project approval and registration， conflict-of-interest statements， and evidence evaluation through 12 appendices， providing methodological support for the clinical translation of the consensus. In the future， it will be continuously improved through a dynamic revision mechanism.

Objective To investigate the status of population dynamics and distribution changes of Aedes aegypti in Guangdong Province.Methods Continuous monitoring was conducted from May 2018 to July 2024 in Wushi Town and Qishui Town,Leizhou City,Zhanjiang City,Guangdong Province.Additionally,a survey of the distribution of Ae.aegypti along the Leizhou Peninsula coast was carried out.Results The density of Ae.aegypti in Zhanjiang showed a gradual decline from 2018 to 2024.The last detection of adult Ae.aegypti in Wushi Town was in September 2021,and the last larva was found in October 2023.No Ae.aegypti was detected in Qishui Town during surveys from 2021 to 2024.A survey of 18 coastal villages in the Leizhou Peninsula revealed no detections of Ae.aegypti.Conclusions This study provides a basis for understanding the distribution and population density fluctuations of Ae.aegypti,assessing its invasion risk,and scientifically conducting relevant prevention and control efforts.

Objective To investigate the effects of Mawangdui exercise combined with neuro-muscular electrical stimulation(NMES)on pulmonary function,exercise capacity and quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A total of 96 COPD pa-tients were selected as the study subjects,and divided into control group(n=48)and intervention group(n=48).The control group received conventional pharmacological treatment,while the inter-vention group received Mawangdui exercise combined with NMES in addition to conventional pharma-cological treatment.The ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1)to forced vital capacity(FVC)(FEV1/FVC),the percentage of predicted FEV,(FEV1％),respiratory rate,re-sults of the 6-minute walk test(6MWT),scores of COPD Assessment Test(CAT),St.George's Respira-tory Questionnaire-I(SGRQ-I),Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)and Borg CR-10 Scale were analyzed in both groups before and after treatment.Results After 1 and 3 months of treatment,significant differences were observed in respiratory rate and 6MWT results between the two groups(P＜0.05).After 1 and 3 months of treatment,the FEV1％and FEV1/FVC in the intervention group were significantly higher than those at admission,and the FEV1％and FEV1/FVC after 3 months of treatment were significantly higher than those after 1 month of treatment(P＜0.05).Af-ter 3 months oftreatment,a significant difference in FEV1/FVC was observed between the two groups(P＜0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the CAT and SGRQ-I scores in the intervention group were significantly lower than those at admission(P＜0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the Borg CR-10 Scale score in the intervention group was significantly lowerthan that at admission and after 1 month of treatment(P＜0.05).After 3 months of treatment,a significant difference in SGRQ-I scores was observed between the two groups(P＜0.05).After 1 and 3 months of treatment,the HADS scores in the intervention group were significantly lower than those at admission,and the HADS score after 3 months of treatment was significantly lower than that after 1 month of treatment(P＜0.05).After 1 and 3 months of treatment,significant differences in HADS scores were ob-served between the two groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion Mawangdui exercise combined with NMES can improve exercise tolerance and pulmonary function,alleviate anxiety and depression,and thereby enhance the quality of life in COPD patients.

This study using maltodextrin as raw material, 1%-5% polyvinylpyrrolidone K30 as template agent, 1%-5% ammonium bicarbonate as pore-forming agent, curcumin and ibuprofen as model drugs. Porous maltodextrin was prepared by template and pore-forming agent methods, respectively. The structure and drug delivery behavior of porous maltodextrin prepared by different technologies were comprehensively characterized. The results showed that the porous maltodextrin prepared by pore-forming agent method had larger specific surface area (6.449 4 m²·g^-1) and pore size (32.804 2 nm), which was significantly better than that by template agent method (3.670 2 m²·g^-1, 15.278 5 nm). The adsorption kinetics between porous maltodextrin prepared by pore-forming agent method and curcumin were suitable for quasi-first order adsorption kinetic model, and that between porous maltodextrin and ibuprofen were suitable for quasi-second order adsorption kinetic model. While the adsorption kinetics between porous maltodextrin prepared by template agent method and two model drugs were both suitable for the quasi-first order adsorption kinetic model. In addition, the dissolution behavior analysis showed that the porous maltodextrin prepared by the two technologies can significantly improve the dissolution behavior of insoluble drugs, and the drug release was both carried out by diffusion mechanism, which suitable for the Peppas kinetic release model, but the porous maltodextrin prepared by template agent method had a faster release rate. The change of nozzle diameter had no significant effect on the adsorption process and drug release behavior of porous maltodextrin. In conclusion, the porous maltodextrins prepared by two different technologies were both beneficial to the delivery of insoluble drugs, and the template agent method was the best for delivery of insoluble drugs. This study can provide theoretical basis for the preparation of porous particles, promote the application of porous particles in insoluble drugs, and improve the bioavailability of insoluble drugs.

Objective To study the activity of ten kinds of antipyretic-antidotal traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),including radix tinosporae.herb of blin conyza and turmeric,against extensively drug-resistant Acineto-bacter baumannii(XDR-AB)infection,screen out the extracts of antipyretic-antidotal TCM which have in vivo anti-infection activity,provide a research basis for the discovery of novel antimicrobials against XD-RAB infection.Methods Ten antipyretic-antidotal TCM were extracted with water,50％ethanol and 95％ethanol respectively,and TCM extracts with different concentrations were prepared,which were co-incubated with the model of XDR-AB-infected Caenorhabditis elegans previously optimized by the research group.The in vivo activity of antipyretic-antidotal TCM against XDR-AB infection was judged through the survival rate of Caenorhabditis elegans.Results With the increase of concentration of turmeric and cortex pseudolaricis extracts,the survival rate of XDR-AB-infec-ted nematodes continued to improve.The water extract,50％ethanol extract,and 95％ethanol extract of turmeric at a concentration of 1 000 μg/mL could increase the survival rates of XDR-AB-infected Caenorhabditis elegans to 54.2％(compared to the negative control group,P＜0.001),18.8％,and 13.3％,respectively.The water ex-tract,50％ethanol extract,and 95％ethanol extract of cortex pseudolaricis at a concentration of 1 000 μg/mL could increase the survival rates of XDR-AB-infected Caenorhabditis elegans to 47.4％(compared to the negative control group,P＜0.001),23.8％,and 15.8％,respectively.Conclusion The water extracts of turmeric and cortex pseudolaricis have good activity against XDR-AB infection,and their main chemical components can be tested for in vitro antimicrobial efficacy to discover novel antimicrobial agents against XDR-AB infection.
