Objective: To explore the relationship of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy with short video addiction among college students, so as to provide reference for alleviating social anxiety, improving the level of emotion regulation and preventing short video addiction. Methods: From May to June 2024, 2 172 college students from a university in Guangzhou were selected by multistage random cluster sampling method. The Interaction Anxiousness Scale, Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and Short Video Addiction Scale were used as the measurement tools. The potential profile was used to analyze the potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy. The Chi square test was used to analyze the characteristics of the distribution of potential profile categories of college students with different demographic characteristics. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between social anxiety, emotion regulation strategy and short video addiction. Results: The potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy in college students were divided into adaptive regulation type (784 cases, 36.10 %), low anxiety-expression type (623 cases, 28.68%), inhibition-anxiety type (478 cases, 22.01%), high anxiety-disorder type (287 cases, 13.21%). There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of various potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy among cadres of different gender, family residence, class cadres or not ( χ 2=42.55, 17.86 , 39.05, all P <0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that after controlling the confounding factors such as demographic variables, the potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy of college students (low anxiety-expression type, inhibition-anxiety type, high anxiety-disorder type) were the important related factors of short video addiction ( β =0.15,0.25,0.35, all P <0.05). Conclusions Social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy of college students exhibit distinct categorical characteristics, and its varying latent categories are associated with short video addiction. Schools should implement targeted intervention measures for different categories of college students to promote their comprehensive mental health development.

Aim To explore the antioxidative effect of the Chinese medicine Baitouweng(BTW)on treating ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods Sixty male mice were randomly divided into six groups:control,dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)(3 g·105 L-1),BTW(20,10,and 5 g·kg-1),and 5-aminosalicylic acid(5-ASA)(800 mg·kg-1).UC model was constructed by 3％DSS for seven days,and the UC model was given by ga-vage once daily from the 5 th day of modeling for seven days.Results BTW effectively reduced the symptoms and histopathological scores of UC mice.Additionally,it downregulated the inflammatory factors,interleukin(IL)-6 and IL-1 β,the immunoglobulins vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 and intercellular adhesion mole-cule 1,and metalloprotease matrix metallopeptidase 9.Moreover,it downregulated high mobility group box 1 protein.Furthermore,it inhibited the nuclear factor er-ythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)pathway.Conclusions BTW improves the general condition,inflammatory indexes and oxidative stress level,and its mechanism may be related to inhib-iting the level of HMGB1 to regulate the Nrf-2/HO-1 signaling pathway and rescue intestinal barrier-related protein expression.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6(CEACAM6)in pancreatic cancer.Methods A total of 188 patients admitted to the Pancreas Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from May to December 2024 were consecutively enrolled,including 112 patients in the pancreatic cancer group and 76 patients in the benign pancreatic disease group(43 with pancreatitis and 33 with benign pancreatic tumors).Additional-ly,76 healthy individuals were included in the health control group.Serum CEACAM6 and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)levels were detected by ELISA and chemiluminescence immunoassay(CLIA),respectively.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of serum CEACAM6 for pancreatic cancer.The positive rate of serum CEACAM6 in CA19-9-negative pancreatic cancer patients was also investigated.Results The levels of serum CEACAM6 in the pancreatic cancer group(20.3[11.1,34.0]ng/mL)were significantly higher than those in the benign pancreatic disease group(6.2[2.6,10.5]ng/mL,Z=64.1,P＜0.001)and healthy control group(0.8[0.4,4.4]ng/mL,Z=131.6,P＜0.001).The areas under the ROC curve(AUCROC),sensitivity,and specificity of CEACAM6 and CA19-9 in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer were 0.889(95%CI:0.854-0.924)and 0.819(95%CI:0.761-0.863),81.3%and 65.2%,and 84.9%and 86.2%,respectively.The AUCROC,sensitivity,and specificity of the combined detection of the two reached 0.916(95%CI:0.875-0.946),91.1%,and 82.2%,respectively,which were better than any single indicator(P＜0.05).In addition,the positive rate of serum CEACAM6 in CA19-9-negative pancreatic canc-er patients was 83.3%,significantly higher than CEA and CA125(P＜0.01).Conclusion The detection of serum CEACAM6 is help-ful to the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer,and its combination with serum CA19-9 can improve the diagnostic efficacy of pancreatic cancer.

With the advancement of transfusion medicine and the widespread use of platelet-related preparations, platelet transfusion has become a critical therapeutic intervention in clinics. To enhance the safety and efficacy of platelet transfusion, platelet blood group typing has been increasingly implemented in clinical practice, accompanied by the emergence of novel testing technologies and methodologies, such as flow cytometric immuno-bead array analysis, microtiter plate-based immobilized recombinant single antigen enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and third-generation sequencing. Significant progress has been made in platelet blood group detection, including improvements in serological testing methods, integration and optimization of multi-platform detection technologies, and the development of high-throughput molecular genotyping techniques. The advancement in platelet blood group detection technology has significantly enhanced detection precision and clinical applicability, providing an important support for transfusion safety, managing platelet-related diseases, and developing antiplatelet drugs.

Objective:To evaluate the short-term efficacy of endoscopic-laparoscopic regional gastric resection combined with sentinel lymph node basin dissection in patients with early-stage gastric cancer.Methods:This is a retrospective case series study. Data of 17 consecutive early gastric cancer patients from a prospective cohort at Beijing Friendship Hospital,Capital Medical University were analyzed between August 2023 and August 2024. Sixteen cases were from the department of general surgery and 1 from the department of gastroenterology. The cohort included 9 males and 8 females,with a mean age of 61.4 years (range: 46 to 79 years). Clinical data,including demographics,pathological features,surgical procedures,and follow-up outcomes,were collected through medical records and databases. All patients were followed for over 3 months,with follow-up ending on December 5,2024.Results:A total of 17 patients were involved. Among them, 5 patients underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) combined with laparoscopic sentinel lymph node dissection (LSBD),and another 3 patients who underwent complete ESD resection received LSBD due to pathological stage meeting the expanded indications. 6 patients who underwent non-curative ESD resection received laparoscopic gastric regional resection (LRG) combined with LSBD,and another 3 patients directly received LRG combined with LSBD. The average number of sentinel lymph nodes dissected before surgery ( M(IQR)) was 8.9 (4.5) (range: 4 to 21),and the detection rate and accuracy rate were both 100%. Postoperative pathology confirmed that there was no metastasis in the sentinel lymph nodes of 5 patients who underwent ESD combined with LSBD and 3 patients who underwent LSBD after complete ESD resection. The vertical and horizontal margins of ESD were all negative. One patient was an absolute indication for ESD. For the 6 patients who underwent non-curative ESD resection combined with LRG and LSBD,the horizontal margins were all negative. Two patients showed 1 metastasis in each of the 21 and 9 sentinel lymph nodes during the operation,and additional distal gastrectomy was performed during the operation. Postoperatively,73 and 39 lymph nodes were retrieved respectively. The former had 1 additional metastasis,while the latter had no metastasis. Among the 3 patients who underwent direct LRG combined with LSBD,the horizontal margins were negative. One patient was confirmed as an absolute indication for ESD by postoperative pathology,and one patient had 1 metastasis in 8 sentinel lymph nodes during the operation,and additional distal gastrectomy was performed. Postoperatively,there was no metastasis in 54 lymph nodes. All patients had no complications such as infection,bleeding,perforation,or death after surgery. Among the 14 patients who did not receive additional radical surgery,they were able to pass gas and defecate within 3 days after surgery,with an average hospital stay of 6 days. The nutritional indicators and gastric radionuclide emptying imaging half-emptying time were similar to those before surgery at 3 months after surgery. Conclusions:Laparoscopic and endoscopic cooperative regional gastrectomy with sentinel lymph node basin dissection has the advantages of minimal invasiveness,preservation of gastric function,and precise treatment. It maybe suitable for patients with early-stage gastric cancer at high risk of lymph node metastasis and has good short-term efficacy.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between 24 h movement behaviors and cognitive function in children and adolescents, as well as the isotemporal substitution benefits, in order to provide a basis for developing cognitive development intervention strategies among children and adolescents. Methods: Relevant studies were searched in the Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, EBSCO, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases from their inception to November 30, 2024. Systematic evaluation was performed after document screening, data extraction and quality assessment. Results: A total of 24 highquality studies were included, comprising 35 295 children and adolescents aged 3-18 years. Adhering to the 24 h activity guidelines was associated with better cognitive performance (19 studies). Additionally, substituting 5-30 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) or sleep (SLP) for sedentary behavior (SB) or light physical activity (LPA) were associated with improvements in cognitive function (7 studies). There were inconsistencies in the effects of different types of SB (learning or entertainment) on cognitive function. Conclusions Adherence to the 24 h activity guidelines supports cognitive development in children and adolescents, with MVPA and SLP as key intervention targets. Increasing the proportion of MVPA, ensuring adequate SLP, and limiting recreational SB and screen time might be helpful to enhance the combined benefits of these three behaviors.

Biomolecular condensates are formed through phase separation of biomacromolecules such as proteins and RNAs. These condensates exhibit liquid-like properties that can futher transition into more stable material states. They form complex internal structures via multivalent weak interactions, enabling precise spatiotemporal regulations. However, the use of inconsistent and non-standardized terminology has become increasingly problematic, hindering academic exchange and the dissemination of scientific knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the terminology related to biomolecular condensates in order to clarify concepts, promote interdisciplinary cooperation, enhance research efficiency, and support the healthy development of this field.

Japanese spotted fever(JSF)is an infectious disease caused by Rickettsia japonica,with nonspecific clinical symptoms and a high risk of misdiagnosis.We reported a case of JSF,in which Rickettsia japonica was detected in blood cells by metagenomic next-generation sequencing.The patient recovered after treatment with doxycycline.This report provides a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of JSF.
