Objective To investigate the effectiveness of a higher-order thinking-oriented BOPPPS-based blended teach-ing model in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery education, focusing on its impact on the academic performance and teaching satisfaction of undergraduate clinical medicine students. Methods A total of 199 undergraduate clinical medicine students from Guangzhou Medical University were enrolled, divided into a control group(2021-2022 academic year,n=118)and an experi-mental group(2022-2023 academic year,n=81).The control group received conventional blended teaching via Chaoxing plat-form combined with case discussions, while the experimental group implemented the BOPPPS-integrated blended teaching model. Results Students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher average scores than the control group(Δ=11.71 points),with the excellent rate increasing from 0% to 11.1% and the failure rate decreasing to 1.2% .Additionally, the experi-mental group reported high satisfaction with the BOPPPS-integrated blended teaching model, with an overall satisfaction rate of 80.25%.Furthermore,54.32% of students expressed a preference for blended teaching approaches.Students widely acknowl-edged that this model facilitated flexible knowledge application. Conclusion The BOPPPS-integrated blended teaching model ef-fectively enhances the academic performance and teaching satisfaction of undergraduate clinical medicine students, providing a valuable reference for medical education reform oriented toward fostering higher-order thinking and clinical competency.

This paper reviews the current situation of massive open online course (MOOC) construction both domestically and internationally, highlighting the similarities, differences, and limitations of MOOC construction across nations. Based on the full-cycle MOOC construction of the "clinical epidemiology" course at Southern Medical University, including course design, resource integration, online deployment, and teaching evaluation, this study explored the significance, implementation path, and challenges of MOOC construction. This paper also reflects on the activation of teaching content, teacher-student interaction, and teaching mode, aiming to provide a reference for the construction and continuous enhancement of MOOC in China.

Lactic acid bacteria(LAB)were isolated and cultivated from the intestinal contents of rabbits by MRS-CaCO3 solid medium.Identification was achieved through morphological observa-tion,Gram staining, physiological and biochemical characterisation,16S rDNA sequence analysis, and ERIC-PCR analysis.Strains displaying typical Lactobacilli characteristics were exanimated for their biological characteristics, resistance properties, adherence capacity in vitro, colonization abili-ty in vivo, and safety profile. In this study,a total of four strains of Lactobacillus reuteri were iso-lated from rabbits, all of which exhibited typical biological characteristics of LAB.These strains demonstrated inhibitory effects on common pathogenic bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, with the primary inhibitory substance being bacteriocin.Furthermore, they showed sensitivity to chlor-amphenicol,rifampicin,and erythromycin, and displayed a degree of tolerance to gastrointestinal conditions and high temperature. These stains were capable of successful colonization in rabbits with a higher degree of safety. This study lays a foundation for the development of LAB prepara-tions for the prevention and treatment of rabbit intestinal diseases.

To develop a clinical diagnosis technique for bluetongue virus infection, we established serotype-specific methods to detect serotype 4 of bluetongue virus (BTV-4). Two monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against VP2 protein of BTV-4, named 4A-1G7 and 4B-1B6, were used as competitive antibodies in the competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (C-ELISA). We detected 50 negative serum samples from sheep, goats and cattle by C-ELISA. The cut-off values of 4A-1G7 and 4B-1B6 mAbs were 49% and 40%, respectively. The results of the sensitivity, specificity and repeatability by detecting standard positive serum, were consistent with the general standard of Office International Des Epizooties. Furthermore, serum samples of BTV-4, BTV-18 and BTV-20 infection could be screened out through the combined C-ELISAs by 4A-1G7 and 4B-1B6 mAbs. Thus, this technique may diagnose BTV-4, BTV-18 and BTV-20 infections.

To confirm the B cell epitope recognized by monoclonal antibody (MAb) 3G11 of bluetongue virus type 8 (BTV-8) VP2 protein prepared in our laboratory, antigen epitopes recognized by 3G11 were screened and identified by phage display technology. KLLAT sequence was found by sequencing of blue spot after four rounds panning and 283LL284 of common short peptide sequence was obtained after comparison to amino acid sequence of BTV-8 VP2 protein. The peptide sequences KLLAA, KALAT, KLAAT and KLLAT were synthesized and identified by indirect ELISA. KLLAA and KLLAT bound strongly with supernatant and as cites of 3G11 cells and reacted specifically with BTV-8 positive standard sera. Further sequence analysis showed that amino acid sequence 283LL284 was conserved among different serotypes of BTV-8 strains, and283LL284 was the key amino acids of antigen epitopes recognized by 3G11. This study laid the foundation to establish type 8 BTV specific immunological detection methods.

Objective To translate Parents' Perception of Uncertainty Scale (PPUS) into Chinese, analyze and selected items, and then test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of PPUS initially. Methods 210 parents of hospitalized children were recruited for the investigation.Frequency analysis, dispersion degree analysis, correlation analysis and so on were applied to analyze and select items.Internal consistency test,Pearson correlation analysis and exploratory factor analysis etc.were applied to test reliability and validity of the scale. Results The final Chinese version of PPUS contained 28 items. The Cronbach α and parity split-half reliability coefficients were 0.844 and 0.835; The Cronbach α coefficient of 4 dimensions ranged from 0.537 to 0.770.The item-total scale correlation coefficient ranged from 0.300 to 0.737.Item-dimension correlation coefficients ranged from 0.376 to 0.762.Item-other dimension correlation coefficients ranged from 0.028 to 0.514.Dimension-total scale correlation coefficients ranged from 0.480 to 0.863 and those between dimensions ranged from 0.226 to 0.536.In the content validity assessed by experts,I-CVI ranged from 0.75 to 1.00,S-CVI/Ave was 0.928.Four-factor model was performed in the principal component analysis and they explained for 41.401% variances. The maximum factor loading of all items were higher than 0.3,and most of items had adequate loadings in related dimensions. Conclusions Chinese version of PPUS had appropriate reliability and validity as an assessment tool for parental uncertainty in illness of hospitalized children' parents.
