Background Injury poses a serious threat to human health. As global warming continues to intensify, there is an urgent need to explore the impact of temperature changes on injury deaths. However limited research has focused on this issue. Objective To investigate the relationship between daily mean temperature change (Tm) and injury death, as well as to estimate the associated future death burden in Hunan Province. Methods We employed an individual-level, time-stratified case-crossing design to establish a conditional logistic regression model to analyze the exposure-response relationship between daily mean temperature change and injury death in Hunan Province from 2013 to 2018. Consequently, we conducted subgroup analysis of gender, age group, and injury type. Finally, we estimated the excess burden of injury death attributable to temperature changes under a sustainable development path [low emission scenario (SSP1-2.6)], regional competition path [high emission scenario (SSP3-7.0)], or fossil fuel development path [very high emission scenario (SSP5-8.5)]. Results The study collected 155577 injury deaths in Hunan Province. The results indicated that for each 1 ℃ increment in daily mean temperature, the cumulative excess risk (CER) of injury mortality among Hunan residents increased by 0.71% (95%CI: 0.53%, 0.90%). Notably, the CER for intentional injuries (1.06%, 95%CI: 0.51%, 1.61%) was higher than that for unintentional injuries (0.66%, 95%CI: 0.46%, 0.87%). Warmer temperatures were positively associated with CER of mortality due to drowning, falls, transport injuries, assaults, and suicides, while they were negatively associated with mortality due to poisoning. Compared with 2010–2019, for 2090–2099, the excess mortality rate (EMR) due to ambient temperature increase in Hunan Province under the SSP5-8.5 scenario (14.62/100000, 95%CI: 10.81/100000, 18.40/100000) would be higher than that of the SSP3-7.0 scenario (10.28/100000, 95%CI: 7.58/100000, 12.97/100000) and the SSP1-2.6 scenario (3.35/100000, 95%CI: 2.46/100000, 4.23/100000); the EMR would be around 2.5 times among men (20.64/100000, 95%CI: 14.44/100000, 26.8/100000) than that among women (8.33/100000, 95%CI: 3.98/100000, 12.6/100000). Among unintentional injuries, the leading contributors to EMR would be drowning (4.46/100000), falls (3.96/100000), and transport injuries (2.96/100000). And among intentional injuries, the EMR for suicide (2.08/100000) would be higher than that for assault (0.47/100000). Conclusion Climate warming will increase the total burden of injury-related deaths among residents in Hunan Province, especially in the absence of effective mitigation strategies and measures. It is necessary to strengthen the prevention and control of severe injuries closely related to temperature changes, such as drowning, falls, traffic, and suicides injuries, in order to reduce injury deaths associated with climate change.

BACKGROUND: Premature menopause, defined as natural menopause before age 40, is associated with diminished ovarian reserve. Despite growing concerns regarding environmental pollutants, no large-scale population-based studies have systematically examined the association between urinary polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon metabolites (UPAHMs) and premature menopause. METHODS: This cross-sectional study analyzed 2001-2020 NHANES data, including urinary levels of six PAH metabolites: 1-naphthol (1-NAP), 2-naphthol (2-NAP), 3-fluorene (3-FLU), 2-fluorene (2-FLU), 1-phenanthrene (1-PHE), and 1-pyrene (1-PYR). Premature menopause was self-reported as natural menopause occurring before age 40. Multivariable logistic regression assessed UPAHMs' association with premature menopause, with restricted cubic splines (RCS) evaluating nonlinear trends. Subgroup analyses examined demographic interactions. RESULTS: Among 2,565 participants, 662 reported premature menopause. Multivariable logistic regression showed significant associations between elevated urinary levels of 1-NAP (OR: 1.01, 95% CI: 1.00-1.02, P = 0.02), 2-NAP (OR: 1.01, 95% CI: 1.00-1.02, P = 0.02), and 3-FLU (OR: 1.03, 95% CI: 1.01-1.05, P = 0.01) and increased risk of premature menopause. RCS analysis revealed significant nonlinear relationships for 2-NAP, 3-FLU, 2-FLU, 1-PHE, and 1-PYR with premature menopause risk. White participants showed greater susceptibility to UPAHMs. CONCLUSION Elevated UPAHMs, particularly 1-NAP, 2-NAP, and 3-FLU, were linked to higher premature menopause risk, with nonlinear trends observed. White individuals demonstrated greater vulnerability, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions to reduce PAH exposure.

Degenerative cervical spondylosis is a common spinal disorder in the elderly. During its progression, structural changes such as intervertebral disc degeneration, vertebral osteophyte formation, and facet joint degeneration directly impact neural structures, resulting in neuropathic pain. Moreover, the release of inflammatory mediators can further exacerbate pain, and increased neuronal excitability is considered one of the key pathological mechanisms of neuropathic pain. Current diagnostic and assessment methods for neuropathic pain associated with degenerative cervical spondylosis include clinical evaluation, imaging techniques (such as X-ray, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging), and neurophysiological examinations (including electromyography and nerve conduction studies). Treatment options primarily involve pharmacological therapy, physical therapy, and surgical intervention, which have shown promising short-term outcomes. Despite progress made through the combined use of various treatment modalities, their long-term efficacy and safety remain to be further investigated. Personalized and multimodal treatment strategies are essential for improving patients' quality of life. Future research should continue to explore pain mechanisms and develop innovative therapeutic techniques to optimize clinical management.

OBJECTIVE To understand the safety of Ilaprazole sodium for injection in clinical practice. METHODS From Jan. 1st 2019 to Feb. 29th 2020， the data of 3 926 valid hospitalized patients receiving Ilaprazole sodium for injection were collected prospectively from 5 third-level hospitals through CHPS， and the post-marketing safety analysis was performed by using retrospective multicenter single cohort study. At the same time， a nested case-control study （the ratio of trial group and control group was 1∶4） was used to confirm the baseline stability of this study cohort and the correlation between adverse reactions and Ilaprazole sodium for injection. RESULTS Among 3 926 patients， 3 patients experienced 5 adverse drug events after using Ilaprazole sodium for injection， with the incidence of 0.076%. There was no serious adverse event， and the occurrence time was 2 days after medication； adverse drug events mainly include elevated liver function indicators （alanine transaminase， aspartate transaminase， total bilirubin）， which were mild and untreated， and all adverse drug events were improved. The results of the nested case-control study showed that the trial group and the control group belonged to the same background baseline， and the occurrence of adverse drug events was more closely related to Ilaprazole sodium for injection. CONCLUSIONS The overall safety of Ilaprazole sodium for injection is relatively high， and the occurrence of adverse events is more related to it.

Severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) is closely related to intestinal mucosal barrier dysfunction, in which intestinal epithelial mechanical barrier injury is the structural basis of SAP-related intestinal mucosal dysfunction. Among the molecular mechanisms of injury factors, inflammatory mediators and cytokines, produced by SAP waterfall inflammation, are the main factors of intestinal mucosal barrier injury. This article briefly describes the effects of SAP on intestinal mechanical barrier injury and its molecular mechanism in order to provide ideas for the treatment of SAP.

OBJECTIVE：To provide technical met hods for marketing authorization holder （MAH）to effectively use the data of adverse drug reaction （ADR），actively monitor and control the production quality risk ，and carry out drug production risk management. METHODS ：Through establishing three-dimensional risk matrix and risk trend model ，the risk early warning system of MAH production line based on ADR report data is designed and developed ；the main functions of the system were applied and analyzed according to the actual ADR report data of a certain company. RESULTS ：MAH production line risk warning system was established preliminarily. The main framework included data source and and processing module ，model construction module （three-dimensional matrix model included possibility index ，severity index and sensitivity index ，risk trend model was set according to the principle of product production batch number preparation ），and result output & analysis module. Five major functional modules included system configuratio ，production line signal detection ，visual statistical early warning ，ADR report management and standard data management. The application and analysis of ADR report data of a certain company showed that the system could realize detection and warning of the company ’s production line risk ，which intuitively reflected its high-risk production lines ，varieties and batch numbers. It was consistent wit h the actual safety sit uation of the company ’s varieties. CONCLUSIONS：The system can help MAH make use of ADR report data to actively monitor drug production quality risks in a timely manner ，investigate risk factors for high-risk production lines ， high-risk varieties and high-risk batch numbers，and assist in decision-making on the direction of risk investigation.

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of ultrasound-guided hydrostatic reduction for pediatric acute intussusception.Methods:One thousand eight hundred and thirty patients with acute intussusception diagnosed by ultrasound in Shenzhen Children′s Hospital from September 2017 to July 2020 were treated with ultrasound-guided hydrostatic reduction method. The therapeutic effects, complications and ultrasonic features were observed.Results:Among 1 830 cases, 1 791 cases were diagnosed as primary intussusception, and 39 cases were secondary intussusception. The overall rate of successful ultrasound enema reduction were 1 780/1 830(93.7%) patients. All 50/1 830(2.7%) patients underwent surgery after unsuccessful enema reduction, including 42 cases of primary intussusception, and 8 cases of secondary intussusception. The complication of intestinal perforation occurred in 3 cases (0.16%), and there were no deaths.Conclusions:Ultrasound-guided enema reduction for pediatric acute intussusception is an effective and safe method without radiation exposure, and can be used as the preferred method for non-operative treatment of intussusception.

OBJECTIVE:To improve the quality of ADR reports. METHODS:By using intensive hospital monitoring mode, ADR reports before and after the application of the system would be collected and factors as report quantity,type,time and quality of reports were analyzed statistically. RESULTS:It provided rapid reporting function after the implementotion of the system. Total quantity of reported ADR cases increased from 589 to 748,and the proportion of all the serious ADR reports increased from 62.8%to 11.76%. The score of repert quality increased from 93.64 to 98.36,the proportion of time-out reports increased from 94.05% to 97.33%,with statistical significance (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Rapid reporting system of ADR in the hospital is beneficial to improve the efficiency and guarantee the quality of the reports. It also can expand the coverage of the monitoring network,and can lay the foundation for drug safety scientific evaluation and monitoring.
