Objective:To investigate the clinical features and prognosis of neuro-Beh?et′s syndrome (NBS) in children.Method:The clinical, brain magnetic resonance imaging and laboratory data of 5 children with NBS diagnosed in the Department of Pediatrics, General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University and Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Capital Institute of Pediatrics from April 2014 to April 2024 were analyzed retrospectively. The follow-up method was retrospective outpatient or inpatient visit to evaluate the treatment effect of NBS.Result:Among the 5 NBS cases, 2 were male and 3 were female. The age of admission ranged from 8 to 17 years, the time from onset to diagnosis was 2 days to 4 years. Two patients had dizziness, headache and convulsions during the treatment of NBS, 1 patient had disturbance of consciousness, 1 patient gradually developed aphasia, limb movement disorder, dysphagia and muscle weakness after 4 years of Behcet's syndrome, and 1 patient had no clinical symptoms. C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were increased in 4 cases, and cerebrospinal fluid white blood cells and immunoglobulin G were increased in 1 case. Brain magnetic resonance imaging of 4 children showed multiple lesions, including bilateral frontal lobe, occipital lobe, parietal lobe, periventricular and corpus callosum lesions. Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed multiple demyelinating diseases in 1 case, and cervical and thoracic magnetic resonance imaging showed slender cervical and thoracic spinal cord. All patients were treated with corticosteroids combined with immunosuppressants or biological agents. The children were followed up for 6 months to 4 years, and 4 cases had good treatment results, and 1 case finally gave up treatment.Conclusions:The clinical manifestations of NBS are not specific, and brain magnetic resonance imaging shows that the lesion location and morphology are not specific. NBS children treated with corticosteroids combined with immunosuppressive agents or biological agents have a good prognosis.

Objective To analyze three-dimensional imaging characteristics and advantages for severe portal vein stenosis after liver transplantation, and to evaluate clinical efficacy of portal vein stent implantation. Methods Clinical data of 10 patients who received portal vein stent implantation for severe portal vein stenosis after liver transplantation were retrospectively analyzed. Imaging characteristics of severe portal vein stenosis, and advantages of three-dimensional reconstruction imaging and interventional treatment efficacy for severe portal vein stenosis were analyzed. Results Among 10 patients, 3 cases were diagnosed with centripetal stenosis, tortuosity angulation-induced stenosis in 2 cases, compression-induced stenosis in 2 cases, long-segment stenosis and/or vascular occlusion in 3 cases. Three-dimensional reconstruction images possessed advantages in accurate identification of stenosis, identification of stenosis types and measurement of stenosis length. All patients were successfully implanted with portal vein stents. After stent implantation, the diameter of the minimum diameter of portal vein was increased [(6.2±0.9) mm vs. (2.6±1.7) mm, P<0.05], the flow velocity at anastomotic site was decreased [(57±19) cm/s vs. (128±27) cm/s, P<0.05], and the flow velocity at the portal vein adjacent to the liver was increased [(41±6) cm/s vs. (18±6) cm/s, P<0.05]. One patient suffered from intrahepatic hematoma caused by interventional puncture, which was mitigated after conservative observation and treatment. The remaining patients did not experience relevant complications. Conclusions Three-dimensional visualization technique may visually display the location, characteristics and severity of stenosis, which is beneficial for clinicians to make treatment decisions and assist interventional procedures. Timely implantation of portal vein stent may effectively reverse pathological process and improve portal vein blood flow.

Objective:To investigate the prognostic value of myocardial flow reserve (MFR) measured by SPECT myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantitative technique in patients with intermediate stenoses of coronary arteries.Methods:From September 2019 to May 2021, patients with intermediate stenoses (50% to 80%) identified by invasive coronary angiography in Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Fuwai Center China Cardiovascular Hospital, and TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital were prospectively included. All patients underwent a one-day rest/stress SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) and SPECT MBF quantification. The radioactivity distribution of each segment of the MPI bullseye polar maps were obtained according to the standard 5-point method to obtain the summed stress score (SSS) and the summed difference score (SDS) to determine the existence of abnormality. ROC curve analysis was used to obtain the optimal prognostic cut-off value for MFR. The primary endpoint was defined as cardiovascular endpoint events. Survival and prognostic analyses were conducted by Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazard models. The difference of AUCs was analyzed by Delong test.Results:A total of 314 patients (194 males, 120 females; age (59.4±8.6) years) were enrolled. Over a median follow-up duration of 754 (range: 628-914) d, 54 patients had endpoint events. ROC curve showed that the prediction ability of MFR was significantly better than that of conventional MPI (AUCs: 0.713 and 0.512; z=3.76, P<0.001). The optimal prognostic cut-off value for MFR to predict endpoint events in patients with intermediate stenoses was 2.04. Cox multivariate analysis showed that MFR (hazard ratio ( HR)=0.434, 95% CI: 0.282-0.669, P<0.001) was an independent predictor of endpoint events in patients with intermediate stenoses. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the prevalence of endpoint events in patients with MFR≤2.04 was significantly higher than that in patients with MFR>2.04 (25.4%(43/169) vs 7.6%(11/145); χ2=21.27, P<0.001). Conclusion:The MFR measured by SPECT MBF quantitative technique has an independent predictive value for cardiovascular endpoint events in patients with intermediate stenoses.

Objective To explore the mediating effect of health-promoting lifestyle on the relationship between health literacy and stigma among middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods A stratified random sampling method was used to select 415 patients with T2DM from three general hospitals in Weifang to conduct a questionnaire survey using the Disease Stigma Assessment Scale for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DSAS-2), the Health Literacy Scale, and the Type 2 Diabetes Health Promotion Scale (T2DHPS). Results Sickness stigma was negatively correlated with health literacy (r=-0.547, P<0.01) and negatively correlated with health promotion (r=-0.505, P<0.01), while health promotion was positively correlated with health literacy (r=0.398, P<0.01). Health-promoting lifestyle mediated the association between health literacy and stigma (β=0.0383, P<0.01), with the mediating effect accounting for 16.00% of the total effect. Conclusion Health literacy can influence the stigma of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus through health promotion lifestyle, suggesting that the stigma of patients with diabetes can be improved through health promotion lifestyle intervention.

OBJECTIVE To study the structural characteristics of purified polysaccharide isolated from Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua and explore its anti-fatigue and intestinal bacteria improvement effects,so as to provide theoretical basis for the development of products using this polysaccharide as functional ingredients.METHODS PMP pre-column derivatization-high performance liquid chromatography,trimethylsilyl ether derivatization-gas chromatography and other methods were used to chemically characterize the pu-rified polysaccharide;the mouse weight-loading swimming test and biochemical indicators were used to evaluate its anti-fatigue effect;16S rRNA intestinal flora sequencing was adopted to study the effect of the purified product in improving intestinal bacteria.RESULTS The obtained polysaccharide was a fructan product and contained small amounts of glucose(Glc),galactose(Gal),arabinose(Ara),mannose(Man),rhamnose(Rha)and galacturonic acid(GalA),which had a relative molecular mass in the range of 0.4-285 kDa,and the molecular weight of the main component was around 3 kDa.Compared with the model group,the high-dose polysaccha-ride group could significantly prolong the exhaustive swimming time of mice(P＜0.01),reduce the levels of BUN and UA in serum and the LA(P＜0.01)and MDA levels(P＜0.05)in muscle tissue,and enhance SOD(P＜0.01),GSH-Px(P＜0.001)and CAT(P＜0.05)levels in liver tissue.Compared with the blank control group,the low-dose polysaccharide group could increase the relative a-bundance of probiotics Eggerthelaceae(g_unclassified_f_Eggerthelaceae)and Weissella(g_Weissella)in the fecal microorganisms of mice(P＜0.05).CONCLUSION The chemical composition of purified polysaccharide isolated from Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua is determined,and it is proven that the polysaccharide has a good anti-fatigue effect and can promote the growth of probiotics in the intes-tine,which provides a basis for product development using this polysaccharide as a functional ingredient.

Nasopharyngeal swab specimens were collected, and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR was used to detect common respiratory pathogens in the collected specimens. Positive specimens were subjected to sequencing analysis of the highly variable region of human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) G protein, homology analysis and phylogenetic tree analysis. A total of 25 fever cases were collected from 3 kindergartens, aged 3-8 years old, with an age M ( Q1, Q3) of 4 (3.5, 5) years old. Ten confirmed cases of HRSV positive were screened and detected using the fluorescent quantitative PCR method, with a total detection rate of 40% (10/25). Typing identification and sequencing analysis confirmed that the main epidemic type was HRSV subtype B, which was highly homologous and closely related to previous epidemic strains in the region. Through pathogen investigation and analysis, it was preliminarily determined that this epidemic was dominated by HRSV subtype B.

The endoplasmic reticulum is a key site for protein production and quality control.More than one-third of proteins are synthesized and folded into the correct three-dimensional conformation in the endoplasmic reticulum.However,during protein folding,unfolded and/or misfolded proteins are prone to occur,which may lead to endoplasmic reticulum stress.Organisms can monitor the quality of the proteins produced by endoplasmic reticulum quality control(ERQC)and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation(ERAD),which maintain endoplasmic reticulum protein homeostasis by degrading abnormally folded proteins.The underlying mechanisms of protein folding and ERAD in mammals have not yet been fully explored.Therefore,this paper reviews the process and function of protein folding and ERAD in mammalian cells,in order to help clinicians better understand the mechanism of ERAD and to provide a scientific reference for the treatment of diseases caused by abnormal ERAD.

Balance impairment is a common complication after stroke, which often leads to difficulty in walking function recovery and high risk of fall, seriously affecting the independent activity ability and quality of life of stroke patients. Accurate assessment of balance is conducive to better formulation of rehabilitation plans, evaluation of rehabilitation effects, and guidance of safer daily living activities of stroke patients. This article reviews the research progress of various methods for accurate assessment of balance function in patients with stroke.

Lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma (LGACC) is the most common primary malignant epithelial tumor of the lacrimal gland and has the characteristics of high recurrence rate, neurotropic growth, and risk of distant metastasis. The clinical manifestation is mainly a mass in the lacrimal gland area with a poor specificity. The combination of MRI and CT is important in the diagnosis of LGACC, and PET/CT is of great value in determining the nature and metastasis of LGACC. Histopathological examination is the gold standard for diagnosis, and the type of histopathology is significant for predicting the prognosis of patients. At present, the most commonly used treatment for LGACC is surgical resection combined with postoperative local radiotherapy. However, the overall prognosis is poor after active treatment because the pathogenesis of LGACC remains unclear. This article will combine relevant literature and the author's clinical experience to review the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, imaging examination, histopathological changes, treatment, and prognosis of LGACC. Results will contribute to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment and the prognosis of patients.
