Objective To explore the associations of dietary patterns with bone mineral density(BMD)and osteoporosis(OP)in patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA)in south China,identify the dietary patterns that could reduce the risk of OP,and provide a reference for prevention of OP.Methods Data from 600 KOA patients who were enrolled in the Pearl River Osteoarthritis Cohort(PROC)between April 2020 and April 2024 were extracted,including general characteristics,dietary questionnaire and BMD test.Factor analysis was employed to identify dietary patterns.Scores of dietary pattern were treated as continuous or categorical variables(quartile-based groups).Multivariable linear regression was used to assess associations between scores of dietary pattern and BMD,while the relationships with OP were analysed by binary logistic regression.Results The prevalence of OP in KOA patients was 19.8%.Factor analysis extracted eight dietary patterns:seafood-nuts,livestock-poultry meats,coarse grains-fruits,wheat-eggs,fish-dairy-vegetables,legumes-fruits,rice-wheat flour,and soy-dairy.After adjusting for confounders,it was found that the pattern of coarse grains-fruits was positively correlated with the BMD of left femoral neck and lumbar spine(P<0.01)and the fish-dairy-vegetables pattern was positively correlated with the BMD of lumbar spine(P<0.01).When pattern scores were discretized into quartiles,the legumes-fruits pattern(Q3 vs.Q1)was found in association with a 68.2%reduction in the risk of OP(P<0.05).Conclusion This study has identified that the pattern of legumes-fruits may lower a risk of OP,while the patterns of coarse grains-fruits and fish-dairy-vegetables correlate with higher BMD.The diet patterns are potentially beneficial to prevention of OP.For bone health,a balanced diet rich in legumes,fruits,vegetables,coarse grains,fish,nuts and dairy is recommended.

Objective To investigate the effect of intestinal flora on the efficacy of polyethylene glycol losenatide(PEX168)in mice with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 50 healthy male C57BL/6 mice were fed with a high-fat diet combined with STZ to establish a T2DM mouse model.Among them,40 were successfully modeled and divided into T2DM group(n=10)and PEX168 group(n=30).PEX168 group was further divided into two sub groups according to HbA1c:ideal group(IE subgroup,HbA1c≤6.5%,n=12)and unsatisfactory group(NE subgroup,HbA1c>6.5%,n=12).IE subgroup was fecal donor,NE subgroup was recipientand further divided into fecal bacteria transplantation subgroup(FMT,n=5)and Sham subgroup(Sham,n=5).Fecal bacteria transplantation(FMT)was used to transfer fecal bacteria from IE group to FMT group.Body weight,food intake and blood glucose were measured every 2 weeks in all the groups.FPG,FIns,HbA1c and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)were compared on the 7th day after 10 weeks of intervention in all the groups.Results FPG and body weight were lower at the 4th,6th,8th and 10th week(P<0.05),and food intake was lower in PEX168 group than in T2DM group at the 2nd,4th,6th,8th and 10th week(P<0.05).At the 4th,6th,8th and 10th week after administration,the FPG and body weight were lower in IE subgroup than in NE subgroup(P<0.05),and the food intake was lower at the 0th,4th,8th and 10th week after administration than in NE subgroup(P<0.05).The FBG,body weight and food intake were lower in FMT subgroup than in Sham subgroup at 4,6 and 8 weeks(P<0.05).The FPG,HbA1c,2 hPG,FIns and HOMA-IR were lowerin PEX168 group after treatment than in PEX168 group before treatment and T2DM group after treatment(P<0.05).FPG,HbA1c,FIns,2 hPG and HOMA-IR were lower in IE subgroup after treatment than in IE subgroup before treatment and NE subgroup after treatment(P<0.05).FPG,HbA1c,FIns,2 hPG and HOMA-IR were lower in FMT subgroup after treatment than in FMT subgroup before treatment and Sham subgroup after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusions Differences in intestinal flora between individuals affect the efficacy of PEX168.FMT treatment can improve the composition of intestinal flora and affect the efficacy of PEX168.

Objective To investigate the oral health of officers and soldiers in a navy unit.Methods From September to December 2022,a questionnaire survey and oral examination were conducted in 1 923 officers and soldiers of a navy unit.The incidence of caries,periodontal problem,the third molar impaction,and dental deficiency and defect were analyzed.Results Among the interviewees,51.79%took up smoking,79.88%brushed their teeth daily≥2 times,64.01%brushed their teeth≥3 min,32.97%used cleaning tools other than toothbrushes.The incidence of caries was 23.40%,the incidence of gingivitis and periodontitis was 28.97%,the detection rate of dental calculus was 64.33%,and the total detection rate of pigment teeth was 46.33%.The defect of dental body,residual roots,temporomandibular joint disorders,defect of dentition,and molar impaction accounted for 4.32%,2.81%,11.6%,40.72%,and 68.28%,respectively.Conclusion The oral health status of the shipboard personnel is still poor,so it should be targeted to further strengthen oral health care and popular science propaganda.

Objective To study the effects of aneurysmal neck angle on stent displacement after endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Methods The CT images of 28 patients were selected to establish preoperative AAA model, postoperative AAA model and covered stent model respectively, and the models were divided into non-severe angulation group ( n = 14) and severe angulation group ( n = 14) according to the preoperative angle of tumor neck. The geometric shape of each model was measured, and the changes of AAA geometric parameters and postoperative stent displacements before and after surgery were analyzed. The displacement force of the model during the first follow-up was calculated by hemodynamic simulation. Results Significant differences were found in tumor length, maximum diameter, displacement force, tumor neck length and tumor volume between two groups of patients (P<0. 05), while there was no significant difference between COG (the center of gravity) displacement and proximal displacement (P> 0. 05). For the incidence of internal leakage, there were 2 cases in non-severe angulation group and 4 cases in severe angulation group (P>0. 05).Conclusions Severe neck angulation can lead to a significant increase in support displacement force and decrease in proximal anchorage zone, and thus increase the possibility of support displacement. It is suggested that doctors should strengthen postoperative follow-up for patients with severe neck angulation and be vigilant of the occurrence of long-term internal leakage in clinic.

This study aims to investigate whether displacement force on stents can accurately represents the displacement of the stent after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) by comparing the measured stent displacement with the displacement forces calculated by computational fluid dynamics (CFD). And the effect of cross-limb and parallel-limb EVAR on stent displacements is further studied. Based on our objective, in this study, ten cross-limb EVAR patients and ten parallel-limb EVAR patients in West China Hospital of Sichuan University were enrolled. Patient-specific models were first reconstructed based on the computed tomography angiography images, then the stent displacements were measured, and the displacement forces acting on the stents were calculated by CFD. Finally, the cosα value of the angle between the displacement force and the displacement vector was used to analyze the matching degree between the displacement and the displacement force. The results showed that the displacement forces on cross-limb stents and parallel-limb stents were (2.67 ± 2.14) N and (1.36 ± 0.48) N, respectively. Displacements of stent gravity center, stent displacements relative to vessel, and vessel displacements of cross-limb and parallel-limb stents were (4.43 ± 2.81) mm and (6.39 ± 2.62) mm, (0.88 ± 0.67) mm and (1.11 ± 0.71) mm, (3.55 ± 2.88) mm and (5.28 ± 2.52) mm, respectively. The mean cosα for cross-limb and parallel-limb stents were 0.02 ± 0.66 and - 0.10 ± 0.73, respectively. This study indicates that the displacement force on the stent can't accurately represent the displacement of the stent after EVAR. In addition, the cross-limb EVAR is probably safer and more stable than the parallel-limb EVAR.

Objective To investigate the target genes in RYBP-mediated leukemia cell apoptosis by high-flux sequencing. Methods The HL-60 cell line with knockdown of RYBP was set up. MRNA and microRNA sequencing was conducted by the next-generation sequencing technology. Result MRNAs and miRNAs were dys-regulated in HL-60 cell line with knockdown of RYBP. The results of KEGG analysis indicated that the down-regu-lated genes were associated with cancer transcription regulation and amino acid metabolism. SPI1 and miR-214-3p were shown downregulated after knockdown of RYBP. Conclusion The target genes in RYBP-mediated leukemia cell apoptosis include BBC3,BAI1,SESN2 ,CCNG2,JAK3,STAT4,SPI1,BCL6,CD11b and hsa-miR-214-3p.

Objective To discuss the feasibility, safety and validity of the use of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent in endovascular repair of peripheral traumatic pseudoaneurysm (TPA). Methods During the period from June 2012 to April 2014, a total of 8 patients with peripheral TPA were admitted to the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital . The clinical data were retrospective analyzed. The lesions were located at the common carotid artery (n=4), vertebral artery (n=1), subclavian artery (n=1) and superficial femoral artery (n=2). On the basis of acute and chronic TPA classification and different therapeutic principles, endovascular repair with ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent was employed in 8 patients. Intraoperative angiographic findings, the size and number of the implanted stent, and the immediate angiographic results after stent implantation were recorded. All the patients were followed up to evaluate the improvement of the symptoms, the effectiveness of the repair of TPA cavity, and the occurrence of endoleak or restenosis. Results Successful implantation of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent was accomplished in all 8 patients, with a technical success rate of 100%. Angiography performed immediately after stent implantation showed that complete repair of TPA cavity was obtained in all patients, the distal segment of the parent artery was patent, and no endoleak was observed. The sizes of the stent used in the patients were 8×50 mm (n=2) and 9×50 mm (n=2) in common carotid artery, 6×50 mm (n=1) in vertebral artery, 11×100 mm (n=1) in subclavian artery, and 8×100 mm (n=2) in superficial femoral artery. The patients were followed up for 6-30 months (mean of 14.3 months), and the clinical symptoms disappeared in all patients. CT angiography indicated that there was no endoleak or restenosis. Conclusion Based on the different therapeutic principles, the use of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent in endovascular repair of peripheral TPA is technically simple and micro-invasive, and clinically feasible with reliable effect and safety. Therefore, this technique can be employed as a first-line therapy option for peripheral TPA.

Objective To discriminate morphology and immunophenotype differences between hematogones and lymphoblast to provide some references for the correct identification of hematogones and minimal residual leukemia cells.Methods Immunophenotypes were detected by flow cytometry in a total of 132 bone marrow from 58 patients with acute B lymphoblastic leukemia during diagnosis,remission and relapse.Hematogones were identified based on combination of CD34/CD10/CD19/CD45 or CD34/CD10/CD45/CD19/CD20/CD38.Results Among 132 specimens,45 (34 ％) were identified hematogones,the detection range was 0-36 ％.Three specimens appeared in diagnosis patients,one in relapse,and the remaining 41 cases in remission.The detection rate of hematogones was 62 ％ (41/66) in the remission cases.More than 5 ％ leukemia cells of nucleated cells were detected in diagnosis and relapse,and less than 5 ％ residual leukemia cells was in 24 specimens from remission patients.In 28 specimens,the co-existence of hematogones and leukemia cells was found,including three in diagnosis,one in relapse and the remaining 24 in remission.Hematogones were characterized in term of variable expression of CD45 and very low side scatter.The early hematogones expressed CD34.With maturation increasing,hematogones gradually lacked CD34.CD19 and CD10 were presented in whole hematogones stage.Early hematogones had expression of CD10.Lymphoblasts showed maturation arrest and more homogeneous populations.SSC values of hematogones were higher than that of normal B cell progenitors.Antigen overexpression or underexpression was not found in normal hematopoietic progenitor B cells,and hematopoietic progenitor B cells did not appear cross-lineage markers,CD20+ cells exhibited continuous distribution from negative to weak positive for normal hematogones.Conclusions Hematogones were present in diagnosis,remission and relapse cases with acute B lymphoblastic leukemia,especially abundant in bone marrow after chemotherapy.It should be careful to diagnose and discriminate the malignant cells from benign cells.By comprehending continuous and complete maturation spectrum of antigen expression for normal hematogones,knowing phenotype of leukemia cells drift change patterns and using multiparameter flow cytometry and optimal antibody combination,it is significant in identifying residual lymphoblasts from hematogones and improving the detection accuracy in minimal residual disease.
