Objective To establish and compare rat models of psoriasis with blood-heat syndrome and blood-stasis syndrome. Methods The blood-heat syndrome model was induced by compound heat potion decoction and imiquimod. The blood-stasis syndrome model was induced by fatigue, hunger, cold dampness, panic and imiquimod. The groups were evaluated for TCM syndromes, psoriasis lesions, pathological tissue, spleen index, hemorheology and key gene expression levels. Results The blood-heat syndrome model group showed significant differences from the control group in syndrome manifestations,PASI score,Baker score, spleen index and plasma viscosity(P<0.05).The blood-stasis model group showed significant differences from the control group in syndrome manifestations, body weight,PASI score,Baker score, spleen index, whole blood viscosity(60s-1),whole blood viscosity(10s-1)and plasma viscosity(P<0.05).The key gene expression levels were different among all syndrome groups. Conclusion The animal models had the typical features of psoriasis and matched the signs of blood-heat syndrome and blood-stasis syndrome of TCM.The models can provide a basis for explaining the scientific meaning of TCM syndrome differentiation in treating psoriasis.

"Bangjian" were traditional Tibetan medicine-flowers from Gentianaceae, which were widely used and had a long medicinal history for the function of detoxifying, curing heat symptoms and treating the laryngitis. The Tibetan compound preparation endowed SFDA approval number always used Bangjian aas the main raw materials for relieving cough, asthma and treating respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis. Its commodity medicinal materials were also sold in Qinghai, Sichuan, Tibet and other local medicinal materials market and local specialty marke. However, when recorded by literatures of Tibetan medicine, Bangjian were often classified into white, blue and black or white, blue and variegated according to color of flowers, leading to disordered varieties. In this paper, different Bangjian including their original plants and the main application varieties were studied and authenticated by textual research, wild specimen collection, investigation and collection of samples from Tibetan hospitals,Tibetan pharmaceutical factories and medical material markets. Results showed that Bangjian-including blue, black and variegated flowers were originated from 14 species and 3 varietas according to literatures, and the main application varieties mainly come from Ser. Ornatae of Sect. Monopodiae, such as Gentiana veitchiorum for the most, G. sino-ornata as well as G. lawrencei var. farreri. Suggestion about establishing the quality standard of Bangjian was gived, which provided reference in reasonable use and scientific research for Bangjian, and also had practical value for its clinical use and development.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of decompression in the treatment of large jaw cystic lesions. Methods 42 patients suffered from large jaw cystic lesions were randomly divided into two groups,21 patients in the control group performed the traditional curettage surgery;21 patients in the experiment group performed the decompression surgery. The intraoperative blood loss, operative time, the incidence rate of postoperative pain and postoperative infection,follow-up recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss, operative time, postoperative pain and postoperative infection rates of the experiment group were significantly better than the control group, the differences between two groups were significant(P < 0.05).The recurrence rate of the control group and the experiment group was 24.0%,4.8%.The recurrence rate of the experiment group was significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Compared to the traditional curettage surgery, decompression surgery can reduce blood loss, shorter operative time, reduce postoperative infection, reduce the risk of recurrence, then improve the clinical efficacy.

To investigate the effect of OGT expression inhibited by RNAi on the alteration of tau phosphorylation and glycosylation level in HEK293T cells. The siRNAs targeting OGTgene(OGT-siRNA1~3) were designed and chemically synthesized. The OGT-siRNA1~3 were transfected into HEK293T cells via lipofectamine2000.The efficacy of RNA interference was detected by RT-PCR.The fluorescence of GFP/OGT was counted by fluorescence microscopy after pEGFP/OGT and OGT-siRNA1~3 cotransfected to HEK293T cells for 24 h.The level of tau phosphorylation and glycosylation were detected by Western blot after Plasmid pCI/tau441 and the siRNA cotransfected HEK293T cells for 48 h.OGT-siRNA3(100 nmol/L) could effectively downregulate the expression of OGT gene compared with Mock group(80.0% at mRNA level and 51.3% at protein level). The level of phosphorylation at various sites of the tau was significantly upregulated and the glycosylation was downregulated following the inhibition of OGT gene expression. There is an apparent negative correlation between the modification of phosphorylation and glycosylation of tau protein, the deficient in glucose uptaken/metabolism may be an important pathogenesis of AD.
