Objective: To understand the current status of psychological sub health among secondary vocational school students and explore its related factors, so as to provide a scientific basis for improving their mental health. Methods: From September to December 2024, a convenience sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey among 5 141 secondary vocational school students from 16 schools across 8 provinces and municipalities (Fujian, Chongqing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shanghai, Zhejiang). A self designed questionnaire was used to collect data on students demographic characteristics and lifestyle behaviors. The Multidimensional Sub health Questionnaire of Adolescents was adopted to assess psychological sub health status. Multivariate binary Logistic stepwise regression analysis was performed to explore the related factors of psychological sub health among secondary vocational school students. Results: The detection rate of psychological sub health among secondary vocational school students was 11.0%, with detection rates of emotional problems, conduct problems, and social adaptation difficulty being 12.3 %, 12.5%, and 9.5%, respectively. Logistic regression analysis revealed that boys and students whose fathers had an educational level of primary school or below, and junior high school, had relatively lower risks of developing psychological sub health or emotional problems, conduct problems, and social adaptation difficulty ( OR =0.55-0.64, all P <0.05). Conversely, students with urban household registration, those with left behind experience, those with poor self rated family economic status, those from other family structures, those classified as overweight and obesity, and those with sleep disorders, frequent consumption of sugar sweetened beverages, frequent consumption of takeout/delivery food, smoking, alcohol consumption, and low to moderate physical activity levels exhibited significantly higher risks across psychological sub health or emotional problems,conduct problems, and social adaptation difficulty ( OR =1.25-4.79, all P <0.05). Conclusions The psychological sub health condition of secondary vocational school students should not be neglected. Psychological sub health of secondary vocational school students is related to multiple factors such as demographic characteristics and lifestyle behaviors. Multi dimensional intervention measures should be implemented to improve their mental health.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the dynamic changes of glucocorticoid (GC) dose and the feasibility of GC discontinuation in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients under the background of Chinese medicine (CM). METHODS: This multicenter retrospective cohort study included 1,196 RA patients enrolled in the China Rheumatoid Arthritis Registry of Patients with Chinese Medicine (CERTAIN) from September 1, 2019 to December 4, 2023, who initiated GC therapy. Participants were divided into the Western medicine (WM) and integrative medicine (IM, combination of CM and WM) groups based on medication regimen. Follow-up was performed at least every 3 months to assess dynamic changes in GC dose. Changes in GC dose were analyzed by generalized estimator equation, the probability of GC discontinuation was assessed using Kaplan-Meier curve, and predictors of GC discontinuation were analyzed by Cox regression. Patients with <12 months of follow-up were excluded for the sensitivity analysis. RESULTS: Among 1,196 patients (85.4% female; median age 56.4 years), 880 (73.6%) received IM. Over a median 12-month follow-up, 34.3% (410 cases) discontinued GC, with significantly higher rates in the IM group (40.8% vs. 16.1% in WM; P<0.05). GC dose declined progressively, with IM patients demonstrating faster reductions (median 3.75 mg vs. 5.00 mg in WM at 12 months; P<0.05). Multivariate Cox analysis identified age <60 years [P<0.001, hazard ratios (HR)=2.142, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.523-3.012], IM therapy (P=0.001, HR=2.175, 95% CI: 1.369-3.456), baseline GC dose ⩽7.5 mg (P=0.003, HR=1.637, 95% CI: 1.177-2.275), and absence of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs use (P=0.001, HR=2.546, 95% CI: 1.432-4.527) as significant predictors of GC discontinuation. Sensitivity analysis (545 cases) confirmed these findings. CONCLUSIONS RA patients receiving CM face difficulties in following guideline-recommended GC discontinuation protocols. IM can promote GC discontinuation and is a promising strategy to reduce GC dependency in RA management. (Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov, No. NCT05219214).

As the brain's resident immune cells, microglia perform crucial functions such as phagocytosis, neuronal network maintenance, and injury restoration by adopting various phenotypes. Dynamic imaging of these phenotypes is essential for accessing brain diseases and therapeutic responses. Although numerous probes are available for imaging pro-inflammatory microglia, no PET tracers have been developed specifically to visualize anti-inflammatory microglia. In this study, we present an ¹⁸F-labeled PET tracer (QTFT) that targets the P2Y₁₂, a receptor highly expressed on anti-inflammatory microglia. [¹⁸F]QTFT exhibited high binding affinity to the P2Y₁₂ (14.43 nmol/L) and superior blood-brain barrier permeability compared to other candidates. Micro-PET imaging in IL-4-induced neuroinflammation models showed higher [¹⁸F]QTFT uptake in lesions compared to the contralateral normal brain tissues. Importantly, this specific uptake could be blocked by QTFT or a P2Y₁₂ antagonist. Furthermore, [¹⁸F]QTFT visualized brain lesions in mouse models of epilepsy, glioma, and aging by targeting the aberrantly expressed P2Y₁₂ in anti-inflammatory microglia. In a pilot clinical study, [¹⁸F]QTFT successfully located epileptic foci, showing enhanced radioactive signals in a patient with epilepsy. Collectively, these studies suggest that [¹⁸F]QTFT could serve as a valuable diagnostic tool for imaging various brain disorders by targeting P2Y₁₂ overexpressed in anti-inflammatory microglia.

Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen) is a traditional Chinese herb that is commonly known for its cardiovascular and hepatoprotective benefits. Recent studies have confirmed that Danshen and its bioactive components can influence gut microbial homeostasis, thereby affecting Helicobacter pylori (HP) colonization in the human stomach. HP is a bacterial pathogen associated with various gastrointestinal diseases. Current HP treatments mainly involve antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors. However, their efficacy is strongly compromised by the rapid emergence of antibiotic resistance in HP and genetic heterogeneity among patients. The interaction between Danshen and gut microbial status provides a novel perspective for HP treatment. Understanding the medical properties of Danshen in altering gut microbiota and eliminating HP, as well as the underlying mechanisms, is important for improving human gastrointestinal healthcare. This review investigates the interaction between Danshen and gut microbiota and its impact on HP infection using databases including Web of Science, PubMed, and Google Scholar. We explored the unconventional intersection between Danshen, gut microbiota, and HP infection, shedding light on their intricate interplay and potential therapeutic implications. A comprehensive understanding of this interaction provides valuable insights into developing novel therapeutic strategies that target the gut microbiota to mitigate HP-associated gastrointestinal disorders. Cosmetics may be an important source of human exposure to per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs),posing risks to human health.In this study,a nontarget screening method for PFASs in cosmetics was developed using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry(UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS)based on the Kendrick mass defect(KMD).The sample was extracted by ultrasonic assisted extraction prior to being analyzed by UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS.Acquisition of HRMS data was achieved in both full scan and data-dependent(Full MS/dd MS2)mode.The data collected by HRMS were imported into an in-lab built R script for processing.Samples retained the mass spectra peaks with KMD values in the range of 0.85-1 or 0-0.15 for in-and out-of-library matching;when KMD deviation(δKMD)<0.001 and CF 2 mass error(δMS)<15 ppm,it was considered as a potential PFASs homologues.According to matches of parent ions(MS),fragment ions(MS2)and retention time(RT)with the in-house built PFASs database,the screened and identified potential PFASs were categorized to 5 confidence levels(CL1-CL5).A total of 15 kinds of PFASs homologues with confidence level of CL3 and above were screened from 13 cosmetics products and 8 cosmetic raw materials,including perfluoroalkyl alcohol,hydroperfluoroalkyl sulfonic acid,chloroperfluoroalkyl sulfonic acid,etc.with concentrations ranging from 1.9 ng/g to 98.1 ng/g.The nontarget screening method could be used to screen and identify PFASs homologues feasibly and therefore provided data basis for management and control of PFASs addition in cosmetics.

Objective:To analyze the genetic characteristics of hemagglutinin（HA）and neuraminidase（NA）of influenza A（H1N1）pdm09 viruses in Kunming during the 2022-2023 influenza season.Methods:A total of 15 strains of A（H1N1）pdm09 influenza virus isolated from sentinel hospital surveillance and from outbreaks from April 2022 to March 2023 in Kunming were chosen for sequencing. The genetic analysis，which included sequence alignment，homology analysis，construction of phylogenetic tree and amino-acid mutations analysis，was carried out using MAFFT version 7，MegAlign and MEGA 11.Results:Fourteen strains isolated during the 2022-2023 influenza season in Kunming belong to clade 6B.1A.5a.2a，and A/Kunming/284/2023 belonged to clade 6B.1A.5a.2a.1. They all diverged from the northern hemisphere vaccine strain A/Wisconsin/588/2019 in clade 6B.1A.5a.2 recommended by WHO during the 2022-2023 influenza season. Comparing with the HA of the vaccine strain：A186T and Q189E，which might cause the reduction of vaccine protection，were identified in Sb of 14 strains；P137S，K142R in Ca and A186T，Q189E in Sb were identified in A/Kunming/284/2023 and two strains isolated from Thailand. The four mutations at tow antigenic sites identified immune escape at the molecular level. Q189E in the 190-helix and E224A in the 220-loop，which might change the pathogenicity of A（H1N1）pdm09 viruses，were identified in 15 strains. Comparing with NA of the vaccine strain：S200N in 14 strains and S339L in 1 strain were identified in antigenic sites. The two mutations might reduce the protection of antibodies induced by NA.Conclusion:Strengthening influenza surveillance and timely detecting new variants in Kunming contributes to preventing the importation of foreign strains and issuing early warnings for influenza outbreaks.

Yinyang Gongji Pills have the effects of strengthening the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factors, removing stasis, and reducing swelling, which is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) formula for treating intestinal accumulation. A real-world, registered, and single-arm clinical trial was conducted to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Yinyang Gongji Pills combined with capecitabine in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer and analyze the clinical characteristics of the patients. A total of 60 patients with advanced colorectal cancer who refused or could not tolerate standard treatment of western medicine were included in the study. They were treated with Yinyang Gongji Pills combined with capecitabine until disease progression or intolerable adverse events occurred. The main observation indicators were progression-free survival(PFS) and safety. The treatment effects of the patients under different baseline characteristics were analyzed. The clinical trial has found that the median PFS of all enrolled patients was 7.3 months, with 30.1% of patients having a PFS exceeding 12.0 months. Layered analysis showed that the median PFS of patients with the onset site being the colon and rectum were respectively 8.4 and 4.7 months. The median PFS of patients with high, medium, and low tumor burden were respectively 7.0, 4.7, and 10.8 months. The median PFS of patients with wild-type and mutant-type RAS/BRAF were respectively 7.9 and 6.9 months. The median PFS of patients with KPS scores ≥80 and ≤70 were respectively 7.9 and 6.5 months. The median PFS of patients treated with Yinyang Gongji Pills for ≥6, 3-6, and ≤3 months were respectively 8.0, 5.2, and 4.2 months. The median PFS of patients with spleen, kidney, liver, and lung syndrome differentiation in TCM were respectively 8.3, 6.7, 7.3, and 5.6 months. The median PFS of patients with TCM pathological factors including phlegm, dampness, and blood stasis were respectively 7.0, 7.3, and 6.5 months. Common adverse reactions include anemia, decreased white blood cells, decreased appetite, fatigue, and hand foot syndrome, with incidence rates being respectively 44.2%, 34.6%, 42.3%, 32.7%, and 17.3%. The results showed that the combination of Yinyang Gongji Pills and capecitabine demonstrated potential clinical efficacy and good safety in this study. The patients have clinical characteristics such as low tumor burden, onset site at the colon, KPS scores ≥ 80, long duration of oral TCM, and TCM syndrome differentiation including spleen or liver.

Objective:To explore the trend of mortality rates for female breast cancer in China and quantify the impact of demographic and non-demographic factors on the burden of breast cancer mortality.Methods:Mortality data for female breast cancer from 2013 to 2021 were extracted from the Chinese Cause of Death Monitoring Dataset, and the 2000 Chinese population census data were used to standardize the mortality rates. The Joinpoint software was employed to analyze the mortality trends by calculating the Annual Percentage Change (APC) and Average Annual Percentage Change (AAPC). The population decomposition method was utilized to quantify the impact of changes in population age structure, population size, and non-demographic factors on the burden of breast cancer mortality.Results:From 2013 to 2021, the crude mortality rate for female breast cancer in China showed an increasing trend, with an AAPC of 2.3% (95% CI: 1.7%-2.9%). The standardized mortality rate remained relatively stable, with an AAPC of -0.2% (95% CI: -1.6%-1.3%). However, Joinpoint trend analysis indicated that the standardized mortality rate had a turning point in 2017, with a rapid increase before this year (APC: 3.9%, 95% CI: 1.1%-6.9%), and a rapid decline after this year (APC: -4.1%, 95% CI: -6.8% to -1.4%). The growth speed of crude mortality rates in rural areas was higher than that in urban areas, with AAPCs of 3.0% (95% CI: 2.4%-3.5%) and 1.3% (95% CI: 0.4%-2.2%), respectively. The standardized mortality rate in rural areas remained relatively stable, with an AAPC of 0.6% (95% CI: -1.0%-2.2%), while in urban areas, it showed a decreasing trend, with an AAPC of -1.1% (95% CI: -2.2%-0.0%). In the eastern, central, and western regions, the crude mortality rates all showed an increasing trend, with AAPCs of 1.7% (95% CI: 0.7%-2.8%), 3.8% (95% CI: 2.5%-5.2%), and 2.2% (95% CI: 0.5%-4.0%), respectively, while the standardized mortality rates remained relatively stable, with AAPCs of -0.3% (95% CI: -1.7%-1.2%), 0.6% (95% CI: -1.2%-2.4%), and 0.0% (95% CI: -2.2%-2.2%), respectively. Compared with 2013, the number of deaths in 2021 increased by 42.8%, of which changes in population age structure accounted for 21.3%, the age structure changes of urban and rural residents contributed 22.8% and 19.2%, respectively, to the whole changes caused by population age structure, while those in the eastern, central, and western regions contributed 20.6%, 24.3%, and 15.9%, respectively.Demographically, the changes in population size accounted for 18.3%, and non-demographic factors only accounted for 3.2%. Conclusions:From 2013 to 2021, the crude mortality rate for female breast cancer in China continued to rise, a trend mainly influenced by population age structure, with the fastest growth rates in crude mortality rates observed in rural areas and the central region. After adjusted for age structure, the standardized mortality rate for female breast cancer in China began to decline from 2017.

Objective To analyse China's policies related to children's medicines based on the perspective of policy tools,explore their multidimensional characteristics,and provide reference for the formulation and optimisation of China's policies related to children's medicines.Methods A two-dimensional analysis framework of policy tools-policy objectives was constructed,and the policies related to children's medicines issued at the national level from 2011 to 2023 were selected,and the policy texts were coded,classified and statistically analysed.Results Thirty-five policy texts were included and 117 units of analysis were obtained through coding.Of these,52.14%were environment-based policies,38.46%were supply-based policies and 9.40%were demand-based policies.The policy objectives were categorised as ensuring the safety of medicines for children,improving the level of paediatric diagnosis and treatment and increasing the accessibility of medicines for children,and the policy instruments applied to the above policy objectives accounted for 35.7%,13.5%and 50.8%respectively.Conclusion The distribution of policy instruments is not reasonable,the structure of policy objectives is unbalanced,environmental policy instruments dominate and demand-oriented policy instruments are missing.
