Body weight abnormalities, including overweight, obesity, and underweight, have become a dual public health challenge in Chinese adults: overweight and obesity lead to a variety of chronic complications, while underweight increases the risks of malnutrition, sarcopenia, and organ dysfunction. To systematically address these issues, multidisciplinary experts in endocrinology, sports science, nutrition, and psychiatry from various regions have held multiple weight management seminars. Based on the latest epidemiological data and clinical evidence, they expanded the guideline to include assessment and intervention strategies for underweight, in addition to the core content of obesity management. This guideline outlines the etiological mechanisms, evaluation methods, and multidimensional management strategies for overweight and obesity, covering key areas such as diagnosis and assessment, medical nutrition therapy, exercise prescription, pharmacological intervention, and psychological support. It is intended to provide a scientific and standardized approach to weight management across the adult population, aiming to curb the rising prevalence of obesity, mitigate complications associated with abnormal body weight, and improve nutritional status and overall quality of life.

Chinese Journal of Zoonoses 2025;41(3):313-321
Rodents in China encompass diverse species with wide distributions, and carry an array of pathogens, thus posing substantial risks to human health and safety. In this paper, the literatures related to rodent—carrying pathogens in China were screened and analyzed from databases such as CNKI,Wanfang Database,Google Scholar, and Pubmed. An analysis of surveil-lance data for bacterial pathogens borne by these rodents revealed the presence of 19 distinct pathogens, including Yersinia pes-tis,Bartonella,and Borrelia burgdorferi, across 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.Notably, positive tests for 15 of these bacterial pathogens were observed in Yunnan Province, whereas Bartonella was detected in 28 provinces. The survey encompassed a total of 107 rodent species,84 of which were classified as Rodentia, representing 78.50%of the to-tal.Among these,82 species were found to be carriers of Bartonella. This comprehensive analysis and synthesis of surveillance data on rodent-borne bacterial pathogens provided not only insights into pathogen prevalence and distribution across regions, but also a valuable resource for the development of early warning systems and strategies for the prevention and control of disea-ses transmitted by rodents.

Objective To explore the value of combining apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)heterogeneity with morphological indicators in assessing the pathological grading of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC).Methods The MRI images of 86 patients confirmed with NMIBC by surgical pathology were analyzed retrospectively. All patients underwent T2WI,diffusion weighted ima-ging(DWI),and dynamic contrast enhancement(DCE)examinations. Two radiologists independently measured tumor largest diam-eter(LD),actual tumor-wall contact length(ACTCL),ADCmean,ADCmin, and ADCmax values.ADC heterogeneity was calculated using the formula(ADCmax-ADCmin)/ADCmean.Differences in quantitative parameters between low-and high-grade NMIBC were compared using the Mann-Whitney U test, while differences in qualitative parameters were compared using the chi-square test.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify independent predictors of high-grade NMIBC,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were drawn to evaluate the performance of ADC heterogeneity combined with morphological indicators in assessing high-grade NMIBC.Results ADC heterogeneity and ACTCL were independent predictors for preoperative assessment of NMIBC pathological grading. The area under the curve(AUC)of ADC heterogeneity and ACTCL in assessing high-grade NMIBC were 0.843 and 0.744,respectively.The combined AUC was 0.902.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of ADC heterogeneity with ACTCL can effectively improve the efficiency of preoperative assessment of NMIBC pathological grading, and providing more precise clinical decision-making and prognosis monitoring.

This study established the HPLC fingerprints and a multi-component content determination method for Bidens pilosa var. radiata and B. pilosa and conducted comprehensive evaluation by integrating fingerprint similarity comparison, cluster analysis(CA), and principal component analysis(PCA), aiming to provide a reference for the establishment of quality standards for Bidentis Herba. HPLC was launched on an Agilent Poroshell 120 EC-C_(18) chromatographic column(4.6 mm×250 mm, 4 μm) by gradient elution with a mobile phase of 0.1% aqueous phosphoric acid-acetonitrile at a flow rate of 0.7 mL·min~(-1), detection wavelength of 270 nm, column temperature of 25 ℃, and an injection volume of 5 μL. The fingerprint similarity of 20 batches of Bidentis Herba ranged from 0.775 to 0.979. A total of 20 common peaks were identified, and seven components were confirmed through comparison with reference substances: neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B, isochlorogenic acid C, rutin, and hyperoside. These seven components exhibited good linearity within the ranges of 3.4-67.4, 33.0-660.3, 26.6-531.2, 3.5-70.5, 6.2-124.9, 2.4-48.3, and 4.6-91.5 μg·mL~(-1), respectively, with correlation coefficients(r) greater than 0.999. The average recovery rates ranged from 96.47% to 104.6%. CA and PCA classified the 20 batches of Bidentis Herba into two categories. PCA yielded two principal components, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 80.557%. The established HPLC fingerprints and multi-component content determination method are simple and accurate, providing a scientific basis for the quality control and quality standard formulation of Bidentis Herba.

This study established the HPLC fingerprints, characteristic chromatograms, and a multi-component content determination method for Bidens bipinnata and B. biternata. The chemical pattern recognition analysis was then employed to clarify the characteristic indexes of quality differences between the two original plants of Bidentis Herba, providing a reference for establishing the quality standards of Bidentis Herba. The similarity between the fingerprints of 18 batches of Bidentis Herba samples and the common pattern(R) ranged from 0.572 to 0.933. A total of 23 chromatographic peaks were calibrated. Through comparison with the reference substances, six components(neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B, rutin, and hyperoside) were identified and subjected to quantitative analysis. The characteristic fingerprints of B. bipinnata and B. biternata were calibrated with 20 and 17 characteristic peaks, respectively. Among them, peaks 8, 9, 22, and 23 were the characteristic peaks of B. bipinnata, and peak 7 was the characteristic peak of B. biternata, which can be used to distinguish the two original plants of Bidentis Herba. The relative standard deviation of the content of the above-mentioned six components ranged from 36% to 123%. The cluster analysis, principal component analysis, and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA) classified the 18 batches of Bidentis Herba samples into two categories. Additionally, through the analysis of variable importance in projection(VIP) under OPLS-DA, three characteristic indexes, rutin, isochlorogenic acid A, and isochlorogenic acid B, were identified. The analytical method established in this study can comprehensively evaluate the consistency of Bidentis Herba samples derived from different original plants, specifically identify the differential components between them, and effectively distinguish the two original plants of Bidentis Herba, providing a basis for the differentiation between different original plants and the quality control of Bidentis Herba.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2025;33(2):538-545
OBJECTIVE:
To identify the blood type of specimens from pregnant patients with difficult-to-type ABO status, and to guide clinical safe blood transfusion.
METHODS:
The specimens from 36 pregnant patients with suspicious ABO blood group were collected. These specimens were submitted by clinical institutions from various regions to our center's genetic testing platform from January 2021 to December 2022. The blood group phenotypes and genotypes of these specimens were identified by serological method and genetic sequencing.
RESULTS:
A total of 20 ABO subtypes were detected in the 36 samples, including 10 cases of BA/O, 3 cases of cisAB/O, 2 cases of A/Bw, 1 case of A2/B, 1 case of Aw/B, 1 case of BA/B, 1 case of BA/A, and 1 case of Bw/O. Additionally, 4 cases were identified as para-Bombay blood type, and no specific variations associated with abnormal phenotypes were found in the remaining 12 cases.
CONCLUSION
ABO subtypes interfere with ABO blood group identification in pregnant patients, and pregnancy status also affects blood group phenotype. Accurate determination of blood group genotype by genetic sequencing technology can guide clinical blood transfusion for pregnant patients, and ensure maternal and infant safety.
