Objective:To investigate the prevalence of scoliosis among middle school students through school-based screening, and to analyze the correlations between axial trunk rotation (ATR) angle and Cobb angle among those with scoliosis considering gender, age, body mass index (BMI) and curve type, so as to provide references for early prevention and treatment. Methods:Random cluster sampling was used to enroll 9501 middle school students from 11 schools in the Hanyang District of Wuhan. They underwent a six-step scoliosis screening with a forward bending test, scoliometer measurements, and confirmatory X-ray examinations. The students exhibiting scoliosis were stratified by gender, age, BMI, and curve type. The correlation between ATR angle and Cobb angle was subsequently analyzed within each subgroup. Results:Scoliosis was observed in 358 of the students (150 boys and 208 girls), a positive screening rate of 3.8%. Moreover, the positive screening rate was significantly higher among the girls (4.8%) than among the boys (2.9%). There was a moderate Spearman correlation ( r=0.69) between the ATR and Cobb angles in 358 of the students with scoliosis, both the boys ( r=0.69) and the girls ( r=0.70). When it came to age, there was a positive correlation between the ATR and Cobb angles for students aged 13 to 16 irrespective of their BMI classification, except that there was no significant correlation between the two angles for those classified as obese. In terms of Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) classification, there was a positive correlation for those in types Ia, Ib, Ic, IIa, IIb, IIc and IId, but there was no significant correlation between the two angles for those in type III. Conclusions:Scoliosis is prevalent among the group of adolescents studied. Society, schools and parents need to prioritize prevention, heightened awareness, timely diagnosis and early treatment, particularly for girls. The ATR angle may serve as a practical surrogate for estimating Cobb angle severity in scoliosis screening for single-curve or double-curve cases. However, ATR measurements may yield false-negative results among those with triple-curve deformities or the obese, underscoring the need for supplementary diagnostic methods among such populations.

Objective:To identify the trajectory of fatigue-related symptom clusters(fatigue-decreased appetite-pain)in patients with lung cancer receiving immunotherapy and their influencing factors. Methods:From March 2022 to March 2023,114 patients with lung cancer receiving immunotherapy for the first time in Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center were selected as research subjects.A 6-month longitudinal follow-up was performed using the PRO-CTCAE-based subset for lung cancer immunotherapy, and the demographic, disease physiological, psychological, social and healthy lifestyle data of patients were collected before the first dose.Growth mixed model and logistic regression analysis were used to identify the trajectory categories and influencing factors of fatigue-related symptom clusters. Results:Two fatigue trajectories of patients with lung cancer receiving immunotherapy were identified, named"mild to moderate fatigue persistent group"and"mild fatigue production-relief group".Three trajectories of decreased appetite were identified and named"decreased appetite aggravation group","mild decreased appetite maintenance group"and"decreased appetite exacerbation-relief group".Three trajectories of pain were identified, named"mild pain relief group","mild pain maintenance group"and"mild to moderate pain aggravation group".Logistic regression analysis showed that the age(OR=1.076,P=0.015)and targeted therapy(OR=10.743,P=0.009)were influential factors for fatigue.Duration of disease(OR=0.112,P=0.015),pemetrexed(OR=3.210,P=0.027)and targeted therapy(OR=7.077,P=0.032)were influential factors for pain.No influencing factors for decreased appetite have been identified. Conclusion:There is variability in the trajectory of symptom change in the fatigue-related symptom cluster in patients receiving immunotherapy for lung cancer.A small number of patients showed a trend of persistent worsening of appetite loss and pain.Future studies may continue to analyze intervention nodes based on symptom profile categories and help healthcare professionals identify key populations through influencing factors to provide personalized and holistic symptom management for patients with lung cancer receiving immunotherapy.

BACKGROUND:
The new emerging avian influenza A H7N9 virus, causing severe human infection with a mortality rate of around 41%. This study aims to provide a novel treatment option for the prevention and control of H7N9.
METHODS:
H7 hemagglutinin (HA)-specific B cells were isolated from peripheral blood plasma cells of the patients previously infected by H7N9 in Jiangsu Province, China. The human monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) were generated by amplification and cloning of these HA-specific B cells. First, all human mAbs were screened for binding activity by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Then, those mAbs, exhibiting potent affinity to recognize H7 HAs were further evaluated by hemagglutination-inhibiting (HAI) and microneutralization in vitro assays. Finally, the lead mAb candidate was selected and tested against the lethal challenge of the H7N9 virus using murine models.
RESULTS:
The mAb 6-137 was able to recognize a panel of H7 HAs with high affinity but not HA of other subtypes, including H1N1 and H3N2. The mAb 6-137 can efficiently inhibit the HA activity in the inactivated H7N9 virus and neutralize 100 tissue culture infectious dose 50 (TCID50) of H7N9 virus (influenza A/Nanjing/1/2013) in vitro, with neutralizing activity as low as 78 ng/mL. In addition, the mAb 6-137 protected the mice against the lethal challenge of H7N9 prophylactically and therapeutically.
CONCLUSION
The mAb 6-137 could be an effective antibody as a prophylactic or therapeutic biological treatment for the H7N9 exposure or infection.

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences 2021;8(1):27-33
Objective: To investigate the influence of qigong on late positive potential, which was elicited by affective pictures. Methods: College students who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled and randomly allocated to the qigong group, which received a four-week training (n=41) or the control group (n=41). All participants were assessed before and after the training for event-related potential, which was elicited by negative, neutral, and positive pictures. Electrodes at the centerline position of the frontal area (FCz), parietal area (Pz), and occipital area (Oz) were analyzed. Results: Negative, neutral, and positive pictures demonstrated statistically significant differences on FCz (P<.001), Pz (P<.001), and Oz (P<.001). The interaction between the group factor and time factor was statistically significant on Pz (P =.028). The pairwise comparison of Pz on the time factor and group factor showed that the amplitudes of the qigong group after training were smaller than before (P<.001), and the amplitudes of the control group were not statistically significant (P=.355). Conclusion: Our results supported the conclusion that qigong practices could affect the emotional regulation of college students. Qigong exercise weakens the emotional regulation of late positive po-tential, which is sensitive to top-down affective modulation. The findings imply that the regulating effect of qigong on emotions may be part of the reason why it is effective in reducing depression and anxiety symptoms.
