Objective To understand the research hotspots and development trends of Chaihu Guizhi Decoction;To provide references for related research.Methods Relevant literature about Chaihu Guizhi Decoction was retrieved from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data and CBM from the establishment of the databases to 31st,Dec.2023.NoteExpress 3.8 software was used to manage the bibliography,and CiteSpace 6.2.R6 software was used to draw graphs of authors,institutions and keyword co-occurrence,and conduct statistical analysis.Results A total of 1 181 Chinese articles were included,with the largest number of articles published in Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine,reaching 42;there were 54 core authors,and the top three authors were Wang Qingguo(18 articles),Cheng Fafeng(14 articles),Wang Xueqian(14 articles);multiple research institutions dominated by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine carried out multi-level research;a total of 11 cluster labels were formed,involving clinical applications,experimental research,and so forth.The high-frequency keywords mainly included"classical prescriptions","Shang Han Lun"and"experience of famous doctors",etc.Conclusion The clinical application of Chaihu Guizhi Decoction mostly focuses on febrile diseases,and the use of gas chromatography and other methods to explore its active components and explore its mechanism based on the molecular level is the development trend in this field.

Objective To investigate the safety parameters of the air-powered electrocautery hook and its advantages in laparoscopic surgery.Methods In pressure trauma experiments,21 healthy New Zealand White Rabbits were randomly divided into three groups.In each group,three sites(liver,intestine,and kidney)were selected from each rabbit,and the air-powered electrocautery hook was used under laparoscopy to apply pressure and time gradients in a cross-combination manner.The three groups of experimental rabbits were dissected at three time points:immediately after application,3 d post-application,and 7 d post-application.Pathological sections were prepared from the corresponding treated sites,and the extent of injury was assessed.In rabbit renal capsule removal experiment,another 20 healthy New Zealand White Rabbits were randomly divided into 2 groups.Renal capsule removal was performed by using an air-powered electrosurgical hook and a conventional electrosurgical hook,respectively,to compare the two groups in terms of surgical time,intraoperative bleeding volume,intraoperative complications,and the number of times of wiping speculum.Results In pressure trauma experiment,except for the intestinal tract at 3 seconds(P=0.060),the histopathological scores under 0.3 MPa pressure were significantly higher than those under 0.1 MPa(P<0.05)and 0.2 MPa(P<0.05)in all the tissues.In the tissue sampling groups at 3 d and 7 d post-surgery,no tissue damage was observed in any tissue at any time point under 0.1 MPa pressure.In rabbit renal capsule removal experiment,the aerodynamic electrocautery group had less intraoperative bleeding volume than the conventional electrocautery group[(2.9±0.5)ml vs.(3.4±0.5)ml,t=-2.280,P=0.035].There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of surgical time,intraoperative complication rates,and the number of times of wiping speculum(P>0.05).Conclusions The safe pressure range for using the air-powered electrosurgical hook on the surfaces of the kidney and intestinal tract is within 0.2 MPa.Within the safe pressure range,blowing on tissue for 6 seconds or less is relatively safe.Using the air-powered electrosurgical hook in surgeries requiring the separation of loose connective tissue can reduce intraoperative bleeding.

OBJECTIVE: Coptis chinensis (Huanglian in Chinese, HL) is commonly utilized in clinical settings to counteract dyslipidemia in patients with hot syndrome. Its lipid-reducing efficacy has been consistently demonstrated in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced hyperlipidemic animal models. However, whether HL's efficacy differs in HFD-fed animals with hot or cold syndromes remains unclear. This study aims to discern the variations in the anti-hyperlipidemic effects of HL in HFD-fed mice with hot or cold syndromes. METHODS: HFD-induced C57BL/6 mice were subjected to cold or hot syndrome via two weeks of ice water (0 °C) and levothyroxine sodium (240 µg/kg) treatment, respectively. Then, an aqueous extract of HL was administered to the mice via oral gavage over the following four-week period. Lipid levels in the serum and liver were gauged to determine the lipid-reducing effects of HL. Furthermore, gut microbiota composition was elucidated using full-length 16S rRNA gene sequencing. RESULTS: HL notably reduced lipid levels in HFD-induced hyperlipidemic mice. Its efficacy was amplified in hyperlipidemic mice with a hot syndrome but was markedly reduced in those with a cold syndrome. HL treatment led to a decline in alpha-diversity (characterized by ACE, Chao1, Shannon and Simpson index) of the gut microbiota in both sets of mice but affected specific microbial populations based on the syndrome. Specifically, while HL led to a notable increase in Eubacterium, Robinsoniella, and Lachnoclostridium genera, along with the enhancement of Clostridium innocuum and Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron species across all conditions, it syndrome-dependently stimulated Romboutsia ilealis and Parabaceroides_sp_HGS0025 species in mice with hot syndrome. CONCLUSION HL shows stronger lipid-lowering effect on hyperlipidemic mice with hot syndrome, which is in accordance with its traditional usage in clinic. The therapeutic outcomes of HL are intrinsically tied, at least in part, to its modulatory effects on the gut microbiota, offering fresh insights into the foundational principles of traditional Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVE To establish a quantitative fingerprint analysis method for sugar components in Yuanhu Zhitong oral liquid using high performance liquid chromatography-charged aerosol detection(HPLC-CAD). METHODS Chromatographic column was NH2P-50 4E(4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) column. Water(A) and acetonitrile(B) were used as the mobile phase in the gradient elute mode. The column temperature was 30 ℃. The injection volume was 10 μL. The flow rate was 0.6 mL·min−1. The evaporation temperature of CAD was 35 ℃. The acquisition frequency was 10 Hz. The power function value was 1.0. RESULTS The linear relationship of the quantitative component was good within the quantitative range, with R2>0.999. The relative standard deviations(RSDs) of instrument precision, intermediate precision and method repeatability were all <3%. The test solution was stable within 24 h. The average recoveries at low, medium and high concentration levels ranged 97.15%−101.13%. There were 5 common peaks in the fingerprint. The RSDs of instrument precision, method repeatability and sample stability were all <4%. CONCLUSION The established analytical method is stable, accurate and reproducible. It can be used to detect sugar excipients in the preparations.

By reviewing the ancient and modern literature， the name， origin， medicinal parts and other aspects of Linderae Radix in famous classical formulas were systematically sorted out， so as to provide a basis for development of famous classical formulas containing this herb. Linderae Radix was first recorded in Bencao Shiyi in the Tang dynasty under name of Pangqi， and since Rihuazi Bencao of the Five dynasties， all generations of materia medica have used Wuyao as its proper name of the herb. The mainstream source of Linderae Radix used in the past dynasties is dried tuberous roots of Lindera aggregata contained in the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. The origins of Linderae Radix recorded in the past dynasties are mainly Guangdong， Guangxi， Hunan， Zhejiang， Anhui and others， since the Song dynasty， Tiantai county in Zhejiang province has been regarded as the authentic producing place， in modern times， it is still the authentic place of origin. At harvesting， in ancient times， the harvesting time of the roots was mostly in August， while in modern times， Linderae Radix is mostly harvested in winter and spring or throughout the year， and is dried directly after harvesting or cut thin slices and dried in the place of production. At processing， Linderae Radix was processed by removing the peel and heart， wine roasting， vinegar roasting and other methods in ancient times， and in modern times， it is mostly used in raw form as medicine. In conclusion， it is suggested that the processing method of fresh slicing and drying in the place of origin in the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia should be adopted if Linderae Radix is involved in the development of famous classical formulas.

In order to develop a transgenic zebrafish line with green fluorescent protein (enhanced green fluorescent protein, EGFP) expressed specifically in muscle and heart, the recombinant expression vector constructed using the zebrafish ttn.2 gene promoter fragment and EGFP gene coding sequence and the capped mRNA of Tol2 transposase were co-injected into the zebrafish 1-cell stage embryos. The stable genetic Tg (ttn.2: EGFP) transgenic zebrafish line was successfully developed by fluorescence detection, followed by genetic hybridization screening and molecular identification. Fluorescence signals and whole-mount in situ hybridization showed that EGFP expression was located in muscle and heart, the specificity of which was consistent with the expression of ttn.2 mRNA. Inverse PCR showed that EGFP was integrated into chromosomes 4 and 11 of zebrafish in No. 33 transgenic line, while integrated into chromosome 1 in No. 34 transgenic line. The successful construction of this fluorescent transgenic zebrafish line, Tg (ttn.2: EGFP), laid a foundation for the research of muscle and heart development and related diseases. In addition, the transgenic zebrafish lines with strong green fluorescence can also be used as a new ornamental fish.

Background: To evaluate the feasibility of treating odontoid fractures in the Chinese population with two cortical screws based on computed tomography (CT) scans and describe a new measurement strategy to guide screw insertion in treating these fractures. Methods: A retrospective review of cervical computed tomographic scans of 128 patients (aged 18–76 years; men, 55 [43.0%]) was performed. The minimum external transverse diameter (METD), minimum external anteroposterior diameter (MEAD), maximum screw length (MSL), and screw projection back angle (SPBA) of the odontoid process were measured on coronal and sagittal CT images. Results: The mean values of METD and MEAD were 10.0 ± 1.1 mm and 12.0 ± 1.0 mm, respectively, in men and 9.2 ± 1.0 mm and 11.0 ± 1.0 mm, respectively, in women. Both measurements were significantly higher in men (p < 0.001). In total, 87 individuals (68%) had METD > 9.0 mm that could accommodate two 3.5-mm cortical screws. The mean MSL value and SPBA range were 34.4 ± 2.9 mm and 13.5°–24.2°, respectively, with no statistically significant difference between men and women. Conclusions The insertion of two 3.5-mm cortical screws was possible for anterior fixation of odontoid fractures in 87 patients (68%) in our study, and there was a statistically significant difference between men and women.

Nosiheptide is a typical thiopeptide antibiotic displaying potent activity toward various drug-resistant strains of Gram-positive pathogens.Although nosiheptide lacks in vivo activity, and good water-solubility with a series of uncontrollable analogues, which may limit its clinical application, glycosylated analogues may overcome problem of low activity and may improve its druggability.In search of novel glycosylated nosiheptide producers, we applied a genome mining strategy that identified Actinoalloteichus sp.AHMU CJ021 that contains all genes required.However, despite the presence of a predicted glycosyltransferase, glycosylated derivatives of nosiheptide were not detected, after following one strain many compounds (OSMAC) strategy and heterologous expression of a regulatory protein NocP.Nevertheless, nosiheptide produced by this strain was remarkably pure, and further experiments were conducted to improve its production by optimization of the culture medium.Under optimal conditions, 58.73 mg/L nosiheptide was produced, representing an almost 6-fold improvement compared to the original fermentation medium.Therefore, we consider Actinoalloteichus sp.AHMU CJ021 a suitable potential candidate for industrial production of nosiheptide, which provides the basis for solving the problem of nosiheptide structural analogues.
