Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection in elderly patients at a hospital in Hengshui and its correlation with climatic and environmental factors. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 826 elderly patients with RSV infection who were hospitalized in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department of Hengshui People's Hospital from June 2022 to May 2024. Clinical data of the patients were collected. Based on the climatic and environmental data of the Hengshui region during the same period, the epidemiological characteristics of RSV in the elderly population were analyzed. Pearson analysis was used to examine the correlation between RSV incidence and climatic and environmental factors. Results Among the 826 elderly RSV infected patients, males (54.24%) had a higher incidence than females (45.76%). The age of onset was highest in elderly people aged ≥ 80 (39.47%), followed by the age group of 70-79 (32.08%). Cough (89.95%) and sputum (71.19%) were the main clinical symptoms of elderly RSV infected patients. 28.57% of the elderly patients with RSV infection had basic diseases, of which the patients with diabetes accounted for the highest proportion (12.35%), followed by cardiovascular diseases (10.41%). The proportion of patients with mixed infections reached 4.60%, and the proportion of patients with other systemic complications reached 1.69%. From the perspective of the season of onset, the number of elderly RSV cases was highest in spring and winter, accounting for 39.47% and 47.09%, respectively. The correlation analysis results showed that the number of elderly RSV cases was negatively correlated with average wind speed (r=-0.196), average temperature (r=-0.731), and average humidity (r=-0.729), and weakly positively correlated with average atmospheric pressure (r=0.085) (all P<0.05). Conclusion In the elderly population, RSV infection is more prevalent among males and the very old, with a higher incidence during the winter and spring seasons, and is closely related to climate changes in the Hengshui region.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2021;37(27):2093-2097
Objective:To understand the mastery of disaster nursing knowledge of clinical nurses in tertiary general hospitals, so as to provide reference basis for formulating disaster nursing training program. Methods:A total of 374 clinical nurses in tertiary general hospitals in Xi ′an, Shaanxi Province from September to October 2020 were investigated by Nursers Disaster Nursing Emergency Knowledge Scale. Results:The score of the included 374 clinical nurses on disaster nursing emergency knowledge was 2.74±0.98 points. The "accident command system" score was 2.55±1.04 points and the "special care and isolation decontamination" score was 2.93±1.00 points which was the lowest and highest respectively. The followings were important factors which influence the score of emergency knowledge: age, education background, working years, professional title, department, post, hearing of disaster nursing or not, participating in disaster rescue training or not, and participating in disaster rescue or not ( F values were 22.093-2 103.285, P<0.001). Conclusions:The disaster nursing knowledge of clinical nurses in tertiary general hospitals is at a relatively low level. It is necessary to strengthen the training of junior nurses and encourage clinical nurses to actively participate in disaster nursing relevant work to enhance disaster nursing capabilities.

Objective To explore the effects of three stomach tube fixations on unplanned extubation (UEX) in patients with abdominal surgery. Methods Totally 135 patients with abdominal surgery who were admitted and treated in the department of general surgery of Tangdu hospital from December 2015 to April 2016 were selected as the research object, and were divided into three groups according to random number table, with 45 cases in each group.Group A adopted human-shape stomach tube fixation, and group B adopted double-T stomach tube fixation, while group C adopted modified double-T stomach tube fixation. The incideuce of UEX after abdominal surgery were comparedamong 3 groups. Results There were 14 cases of gastric tube slippage (31.11%) and 17 cases of stomach tube shift (37.78%) in the group A;there were 11 cases of gastric tube slippage (24.44%) and 13 cases of stomach tube shift (28.89%) in the group B;while there were 4 cases of gastric tube slippage (8.89%) and 5 cases of stomach tube shift (11.11%) in the group C (x2=6.939,8.640;P< 0.05).The rates of tube slippage and tube shift in the group C were lower than that in the group A (x2 =6.944,8.663;P<0.017).Effective fixed time in the group C was longer than that in the group B and A (P< 0.017).Conclusions There is no obvious differences in reducing the incidence of UEX after abdominal surgery between " double T" type tube fixation and " human-shape type" tube fixation, but themodified double T tube fixation can effectively reduce complications of gastric tube UEX after abdominal surgery and it is easy to operate, and is worthy of promotion in clinical nursing service.
