This study evaluated the healing-promoting effect and applicability of seven new dressings in chronic wounds. A chronic wound model was established using 48 db/db diabetic mice, which were randomly divided into 8 groups (control, polymer film, alginate, foam, hydrocolloid, hydrogel, carbon fiber, and silver dressing groups). Regular monitoring was conducted on the 5, 10, 15, and 20 days after surgery, and a comprehensive evaluation was performed based on healing rate, characteristic of histopathology, and semi-quantitative scoring. The results showed that, except for the polymer film dressing group, all other dressing groups had significantly better healing-promoting effect than the control group ( P<0.05), with the hydrocolloid, carbon fiber, and silver dressing groups demonstrated particularly outstanding efficacy. This study systematically compared the efficacy differences of seven dressings, and combined them with the adhesion, exudate volume and infection risks to provide a scientific basis for clinical dressing selection.

Chinese Journal of Neuromedicine 2025;24(8):857-864
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a kind of prevalent neurodegenerative disorders characterized by motor symptoms such as bradykinesia, tremor and muscle rigidity, as well as non-motor symptoms such as neuropsychiatric symptoms, autonomic dysfunction and sleep-wake disorders; these symptoms seriously affect the quality of life of patients. The current diagnosis and treatment as well as long-term management still face some deficiencies, such as lack of highly sensitive biomarkers for early diagnosis, relatively subjective clinical comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment strategies mainly formulated based on subjective cognition and clinical experience of physicians, and absence of long-term management data. In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), it has demonstrated significant application potential and value in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of PD. This article reviews the recent advances of AI in the above-mentioned fields of PD, with the aim of providing references for improving clinical diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of PD.

Cold has been a long-term survival challenge in the evolutionary process of mammals. In response to cold stress, in addition to brown adipose tissue (BAT) dissipating energy as heat through glucose and lipid oxidation to maintain body temperature, cold stimulation can strongly activate thermogenesis and energy expenditure in beige fat cells, which are widely distributed in the subcutaneous layer. However, the effects of cold stimulation on other tissues and systemic lipid metabolism remain unclear. Our previous research indicated that, under cold stress, BAT not only produces heat but also secretes numerous exosomes to mediate BAT-liver crosstalk. Whether subcutaneous fat has a similar mechanism is still unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the alterations in lipid metabolism across various tissues under cold exposure and to explore whether subcutaneous fat regulates systemic glucose and lipid metabolism via exosomes, thereby elucidating the regulatory mechanisms of lipid metabolism homeostasis under physiological stress. RT-qPCR, Western blot, and H&E staining methods were used to investigate the physiological changes in lipid metabolism in the serum, liver, epididymal white adipose tissue, and subcutaneous fat of mice under cold stimulation. The results revealed that cold exposure significantly enhanced the thermogenic activity of subcutaneous adipose tissue and markedly increased exosome secretion. These exosomes were efficiently taken up by hepatocytes, where they profoundly influenced hepatic lipid metabolism, as evidenced by alterations in the expression levels of key genes involved in lipid synthesis and catabolism pathways. This study has unveiled a novel mechanism by which subcutaneous fat regulates lipid metabolism through exosome secretion under cold stimulation, providing new insights into the systemic regulatory role of beige adipocytes under cold stress and offering a theoretical basis for the development of new therapeutic strategies for obesity and metabolic diseases.
