Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) decoction pieces are a core carrier for the inheritance and innovation of TCM, and their quality and safety are critical to public health and the sustainable development of the industry. Conventional quality control models, while having established a well-developed system through long-term practice, still face challenges such as relatively long inspection cycles, insufficient objectivity in characterizing complex traits, and urgent needs for improving the efficiency of integrating multidimensional quality information when confronted with the dual demands of large-scale production and precision quality control. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, machine learning can deeply analyze multidimensional data of the morphology, spectroscopy, and chemical fingerprints of decoction pieces by constructing high-dimensional feature space analysis models, significantly improving the standardization level and decision-making efficiency of quality evaluation. This article reviews the research progress in the application of machine learning in the processing, production, and rapid quality evaluation of TCM decoction pieces. It further analyzes current challenges in technological implementation and proposes potential solutions, offering theoretical and technical references to advance the digital and intelligent transformation of the industry.

By systematically reviewing the development history of organoid technology and its application examples in Chinese med-icine,this paper summarizes the specific applications of organoids in the mechanism and translation of Chinese medicine, pathological mechanisms, diagnostic techniques, and therapeutic strategies, and evaluate their advantages and limitations through literature analysis.Organoid technology provides an in vitro model that highly simulates the function of human organs for TCM research, and can simulate the multi-target and multi-pathway mechanism of action of TCM,which significantly improves the scientificity and precision of TCM in the analysis of disease mechanisms, drug screening and personalized treatment. However,it still faces challenges in stand-ardization,ethical regulation, and clinical translation. The combination of organoid technology and TCM has a broad prospect, and it is necessary to further optimize the model construction, resolve ethical issues, and promote its wide application in TCM research and clin-ical practice through technological innovation, interdisciplinary cooperation, and international regulatory coordination in the future.

Aim To study the protective effect of the silibinin derivative Sil-1 on acute myocardial ischemia in SD rats and its mechanism of action. Methods Af-ter 18 hours of oxygen-glucose deprivation and treat-ment of H9c2 cells, the protective effect of Sil-1 on rat cardiomyocytes was examined.SD rats were treated 30 minutes before surgery, followed by 24 h ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery. The cardiopro-tective effects of Sil-1 and its mechanisms for improving myocardial ischemic injury were investigated using pro-teomics technology. Results In vitro, compared with the control group, the activity of H9c2 cells in the mod-el group showed reduced cell viability, increased dead cells, elevated ROS and higher levels of LDH and in-flammatory cytokines TNF-α,IL-1β and IL-6 in the culture medium.Sil-1 could improve the above condi-tions to different degrees. In vivo, compared with the control group, rats in the model group showed signifi-cantly higher T waves on electrocardiogram, significant ischemic areas in the heart section, disorganized ar-rangement of cardiomyocytes, increased inflammatory factor infiltration and elevated CK,CK-MB,LDH and inflammatory factors TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β.Besides,NF-κB phosphorylation levels in myocardial tissue in-creased.Sil-1 improved the above conditions to varying degrees. The results of proteomics showed that 90 pro-teins were found between the control vs model group and the Sil-1 vs model group, and KEGG enrichment a-nalysis showed that MAPK,chemokines,VEGF and other signaling pathways were abundant.Western blot results showed that Sil-1 blocked the phosphorylation of ERK,JNK and p38 MAPK.Conclusions Sil-1 inhib-its the MAPK pathway by blocking the phosphorylation of JNK,ERK,and p38 MAPK,and achieves a protec-tive effect on rats with acute myocardial infarction.

Objective:To improve the quality standards for Portulaca oleracea medicinal materials and decoction pieces. Methods:Fourteen batches of P.oleracea medicinal materials and 20 batches of its decoction pieces from different producing areas across the country were collected. In accordance with the relevant methods in the general chapters of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 Edition,Volume Ⅰ),the thin-layer chromatography(TLC)identi-fication method was optimized. The contents of impurities, moisture, total ash,acid-insoluble ash, heavy metals and harmful elements, and extracts were determined.Meanwhile, the HPLC feature chromatograms and content determination methods for P.oleracea medicinal materials and decoction pieces were established. Results:The optimized TLC method showed clear spots, good separation effect and reproducibility. The average contents of impurities, moisture, total ash,acid-insoluble ash,and extracts in the 14 batches of P.oleracea medicinal materi-als were 0.01%,8.48%,21.68%,5.33%,and 28.44%respectively.The average contents of impurities, moisture, total ash,acid-insoluble ash,and extracts in the 20 batches of P.oleracea decoction pieces were 0.01%,7.00%,21.09%,3.60%,and 29.63%respectively.The results of the tests for heavy metals and harmful elements showed that the contents of lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury and copper in 34 batches of samples varied greatly. Moreover, the contents of cadmium, arsenic and copper in some samples exceeded the limit guid-ance values specified in the Pharmacopoeia.Nine common peaks were calibrated in the established HPLC feature chromatogram of P.oleracea, and an HPLC method for simultaneously determining the contents of norepinephrine and dopamine was established. Conclusion:It is recommended to modify the developing solvent for the thin-layer identification of P.oleracea and its proportion to water-saturated n-butanol-acetone-glacial acetic acid-water=4∶1∶1∶1,and change the extraction method of the test sample to ultrasonic extraction for 30 minutes. It is proposed to add the stipulations that the total ash of P.oleracea medicinal materials and decoction pieces should not exceed 25.0%,the acid-insoluble ash should not exceed 6.0%,and the water-soluble extract should not be lower than 20.0%.For P.oleracea decoction pieces, the total ash should not exceed 28.0%,the acid-insoluble ash should not exceed 6.0%,and the water-soluble extract should not be lower than 20.0%.This study provides an experi-mental basis for the improvement of the quality standards of P.oleracea.

The current production of Chinese herbal decoction pieces faces several issues including strong subjectivity, unstable quality, low production efficiency, and a lack of intelligent systems. In order to expedite the intelligent transformation and upgrading of Chinese medicine processing, this paper delves deeply into the problems and challenges encountered in establishing a digital and intel-ligent production model for Chinese herbal pieces.Addressing the slow progress in fundamental research on traditional Chinese medi-cine processing mechanisms, the absence of online digital quality characterization techniques, the low level of production equipment in-telligence,and the lack of evaluation standards for high-quality decoction pieces, this paper proposes a"New Quality Productive Forces"formation approach driven by technological innovation.Through interdisciplinary integration methods, the paper explores the mechanisms of Chinese medicine processing in depth, clarifies the correlation between the processing procedures and the"medicinal properties-quality"relationship,and employs bionic sensing and artificial intelligence to achieve a holistic quality characterization of decoction pieces.Additionally, the use of cloud-edge collaborative big data systems is proposed to enhance intelligent upgrades of the production lines. The paper also aims to establish a high-quality decoction piece evaluation system integrating"physical-chemical-bio-logical"multimodal data fusion. This approach aims to steer the Chinese medicine processing towards becoming more efficient, precise, and sustainable, thereby promoting high-quality sustainable development of the Chinese herbal decoction industry and providing both theoretical and practical support for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.
