ObjectiveTo establish an animal model of atrial fibrillation（AF） that accurately reflects the phlegm-heat and blood stasis（TRYZ） pathogenesis in traditional Chinese medicine. MethodsForty SPF-grade SD rats were randomly assigned using a random number table to the following groups：the control group， the TRYZ+AF group，the AF group and the TRYZ group， with ten rats in each group. The TRYZ+AF and TRYZ groups underwent a high-fat diet combined with intraperitoneal lipopolysaccharide（LPS） injection to simulate the pathological alterations of TRYZ syndrome. Groups TRYZ+AF and AF were induced with acetylcholine-calcium chloride（Ach-CaCl₂） via caudal vein injection to induce AF. The control group received no intervention and was maintained under normal conditions. The modeling period lasted 3 weeks. Electrocardiography was used to assess AF episodes and duration， echocardiography evaluated left atrial dimensions and cardiac function， fully automated biochemical analyzer measured the levels of total cholesterol（TC）， triglycerides（TG）， high-density lipoprotein cholesterol（HDL-C） and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol（LDL-C）， hemoreometer analyzed the whole blood viscosity， plasma viscosity， and whole blood reduced viscosity， a coagulation analyzer assessed prothrombin time（PT）， activated partial thromboplastin time（APTT）， thrombin time（TT）， and fibrinogen（FIB）， enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay（ELISA） was used to determine the levels of C-reactive protein（CRP）， interleukin（IL）-1β， IL-6， IL-17， tumour necrosis factor（TNF）-α， matrix metalloproteinase-9（MMP-9）， galectin-3（Gal-3）， Collagen Ⅰ， and α-smooth muscle actin（α-SMA）. Hematoxylin-eosin（HE） staining and Masson's trichrome staining were used to analyze pathological changes in atrial myocardium， Western blot was employed to detect MMP-9， Collagen Ⅰ and α-SMA protein expression in myocardial tissue， real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction（Real-time PCR） evaluated fibrous factor gene expression levels. Changes in the TRYZ syndrome were assessed via body weight， tongue color［red（R）， green（G）， and blue（B）］， and rectal temperature. Ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry（UPLC-Q-TOF-MS） was employed to detect differential metabolites between the control group and the TRYZ+AF group. ResultsFollowing three weeks of sustained modeling， compared with the control group， rats in the TRYZ+AF and the TRYZ groups exhibited reduced body weight， dry faeces， elevated rectal temperature， dark red tongue， decreased RGB values on the tongue surface， and markedly elevated TC and LDL-C levels（P<0.05， P<0.01）. The TRYZ+AF， TRYZ， and AF groups exhibited significantly decreased TT， APTT and PT， along with markedly elevated whole blood viscosity and FIB（P<0.05， P<0.01）. Rats in the TRYZ+AF and AF groups exhibited AF rhythm， markedly decreased heart rate， prolonged RR intervals， enlarged left atrium， and significantly reduced ejection fraction and shortening fraction（P<0.05， P<0.01）. Serum levels of CRP， IL-1β， IL-6， IL-17， TNF-α， MMP-9， Gal-3， Collagen Ⅰ， and α-SMA were elevated in rats from the TRYZ+AF， TRYZ， and AF groups compared to the control group， with the most pronounced increase observed in the TRYZ+AF group（P<0.05， P<0.01）. Histopathology revealed that the collagen fiber deposition in the atrial of rats in the TRYZ+AF， TRYZ and AF groups was higher than that in the control group（P<0.05， P<0.01）. Western blot and Real-time PCR results further demonstrated that the protein and mRNA expression levels of MMP-9， Collagen Ⅰ and α-SMA in the myocardial tissue of the TRYZ+AF group were higher than those in the other three groups（P<0.05， P<0.01）. Metabolomic analysis revealed 173 differentially expressed metabolites in the TRYZ+AF group and the control group， primarily enriched in pathways such as glycerophospholipid metabolism and glycolysis/gluconeogenesis. ConclusionThis study successfully establishes a rat model of AF integrated with the TRYZ syndrome， demonstrating the pathological process where the interactions of phlegm， heat and stasis jointly trigger tremor， this provides a reliable experimental tool for in-depth research into the biological basis of this disease syndrome.

Objective: To explore the relationship between school sports environment and physical activity levels of middle school students, so as to provide theoretical and empirical support for optimizing school sports environment and enhance adolescent physical activity. Methods: Using multi-stage random cluster sampling, from September to December 2023, 1 329 junior and senior high school students from Xuancheng City of Anhui Province, Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province, Wuhan City of Hubei Province, Qiqihar City and Suihua City of Heilongjiang Province, and Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province were selected. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF) assessed students physical activity levels, and the questionnaire on the characteristics of school sports environment was developed to evaluate the factors of school sports environment. Multivariate ordered Logistic regression was performed to analyze the correlation between school sports environment factors and physical activity levels, and the analytic hierarchy process determined the weight of key influencing factors. Results: The results showed that weekly vigorous physical activity time was [60 (25, 90)] minutes, moderate physical activity time was [60 (30, 90)] minutes, light physical activity time was [105 (40, 200)] minutes, and sedentary behavior time was [ 3 300 (2 100, 4 500)] minutes, only 10.53% of the students met World Health Organization physical activity recommendations, and 89.69% of the students averaged >8 h daily sedentary time. Multivariate ordered Logistic regression showed that adequate sports equipment significantly promoted physical activity across all intensities and reduced sedentary time ( OR = 4.97, 11.54, 4.03, 0.11); diverse sports activities improved vigorous and moderate physical activity while reducing sedentary time ( OR =4.20, 14.06, 0.17); and peer encouragement was associated with increased low-intensity physical activities and decreased sedentary time ( OR =10.40, 0.15)( P <0.05). The analytic hierarchy process weighting analysis identified the top three influential factors related to physical activity among middle school students: sufficient sports equipment, varied physical education activities, frequent peer encouragement, the influence weight accounts for 23.55% , 14.18% and 11.77% of the total, respectively. Conclusion Key school sports environmental factors for adolescent physical activity level include ensuring adequate sports equipment and class availability, diversifying activity content, fostering peer support, and cultivating an active sports culture and a comprehensive approach encourage students participation in extracurricular physical activities.

Aim To investigate the mechanism by which ginsenoside Rgl regulates autophagy anrl delays brain aging in mice through AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway.Methods C57BL/6J male mice were ran¬domly divided into four groups, namely brain aging model group ,control group, Rgl anti-aging group,auto¬phagy activator Rapamycin anti-aging group.After the modeling was completed, the test of each experimental index would be carried out on the next day.Morris wa¬ter maze experiment was used to detect the learning and memory ability of mice.Paraffin sections of the hippocampus were prepared, HE , Nissl and immunohis- tochemical staining were used to observe the morpholo¬gy of hippocampal neurons, the number of neurons and Nissl bodies was counted, and autophagy-related proteins p62 , ATG5 , ULK1 were detected.Brain tissue homogenates were prepared to detect the aetivity of brain tissue acetylcholinesterase ( AChE ).Western blot was userl to detect brain tissue autophagy-related proteins LC3II, P62, beclinl, P-AMPK/AMPK, P- mTOR/mTOR and apoptosis protein P53.Results Water maze test showed that Rgl and Hap significantly improved the learning and memory abilities of brain-ag¬ing mice.HE and Nissl staining showed that Rgl and Rap decreased necrotic cells and increased the number of Nissl bodies in the hippocampus of brain-aging mice.Immunohistochemistry staining showed that Rgl and Rap decreased the expression of neuronal autoph- agv protein P62 in hippocampus and increased the ex-pression of ATG5 and ULK1.Rgl and Rap decreased the activity of AhcE in brain-aging mice.Western blot showed that Rgl and Rap increased autophagy-related proteins LC3II, Beclinl , P-AMPK/AMPK, but de¬creased the expression of P-mTOR/mTOR, P62, P53.Conclusions Ginsenoside Rgl can effectively antago¬nize the aging effect of D-gal on mouse brain.The pos¬sible mechanism is related to the regulation of autoph- agv by Rgl through AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway.

Objective To establish a method combining QuEChERS and ultra-high liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry （UPLC-MS/MS） for rapid screening and testing of three types of new psychoactive tryptamines in human blood： 5-MeO-DALT, 5-MeO-MiPT and 5-MeO-DiPT. Methods The effects of the type of extractant, the type and dosage of salting-out agent, and the dosage of adsorbent on the test results of the three tryptamines were investigated. Blood samples were processed by QuEChERS method and then determined by UPLC-MS/MS. Results The linear relationships of 5-MeO-DALT, 5-MeO-MiPT and 5-MeO-DiPT in human blood were good in the range of 0.5-100, 0.5-100 and 0.2-100 ng/mL, respectively, with their coefficients higher than 0.99. The limits of detection （LODs） were 0.1-0.2 ng/mg. The recoveries ranged from 84.86% to 94.57%. Intra-day and inter-day precisions were good. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid, easy to operate and has a high recovery. It is suitable for the qualitative and quantitative study of tryptamines in blood and can provide the reference for public security organs to deal with related cases.

To systematically evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine（TCM） on the expression of inflammatory factors in peripheral blood of patients with coronary heart disease complicated with anxiety and depression，and explore its efficacy and safety in treatment of anxiety and depression. In this study，CNKI，VIP database，WanFang database，PubMed and Cochrane Library were searched to collect randomized controlled trials（RCTs） of TCM in the treatment of coronary heart disease complicated with anxiety and depression，and 2 researchers independently screened the literatures and extracted the data. The quality of the included literatures was evaluated with Cochrance bias risk evaluation tool and Meta analysis was conducted by Cochrane Revman 5.3 software. A total of 21 research articles were included，with a total sample size of 2 342 cases，1 175 cases in the treatment group and 1 167 cases in the control group. Meta analysis results showed that the treatment group reduced the hypersensitive C-reactive protein（hs-CRP）［standard mean difference（SMD）=-1.61，95% confidence interval（CI）（-2.14，-1.09），P<0.01］，interleukin（IL）-8［mean difference（MD）=-5.03，95% CI（-8.37，-1.70），P=0.003］，IL-17［MD=-33.27，95% CI（-40.15，-26.39），P<0.01］，tumor necrosis factor（TNF）-α［SMD=-1.18，95% CI（-1.98，-0.38），P<0.01］，and homocysteine（Hcy）［MD=-3.45，95% CI（-4.85，-2.04），P<0.01］. The treatment group was better than the control group in terms of relieving anxiety and depression，i.e. scores of Hamilton anxiety scale（HAMA） ［SMD=-1.97，95% CI（-2.48，-1.46），P<0.01］，Hamilton depression scale（HAMD） ［SMD=-1.94，95% CI（-2.50，-1.38），P<0.01］，and self-rating depression scale（SDS）［SMD=-0.72，95% CI（-0.90，-0.54），P<0.01］，so in terms of ，with statistically significant difference. 4 articles mentioned that no obvious adverse reactions occurred，4 articles mentioned that the treatment group had drowsiness，dry mouth and bitter mouth，gastrointestinal reactions，but the incidence rates were significantly lower than those of the control group. The other 13 articles did not mention the occurrence of adverse reactions.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mechanistic basis for the attenuation of bone degeneration by edible bird's nest (EBN) in ovariectomized rats. METHODS: Forty-two female Sprage-Dawley rats were randomized into 7 groups (6 in each group). The ovariectomized (OVX) and OVX + 6%, 3%, and 1.5% EBN and OVX +estrogen groups were given standard rat chow alone, standard rat chow +6%, 3%, and 1.5% EBN, or standard rat chow +estrogen therapy (0.2mg/kg per day), respectively. The sham-operation group was surgically opened without removing the ovaries. The control group did not have any surgical intervention. After 12 weeks of intervention, blood samples were taken for serum estrogen, osteocalcin, and osteoprotegerin, as well as the measurement of magnesium, calcium abd zinc concentrations. While femurs were removed from the surrounding muscles to measure bone mass density using the X-ray edge detection technique, then collected for histology and estrogen receptor (ER) immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Ovariectomy altered serum estrogen levels resulting in increased food intake and weight gain, while estrogen and EBN supplementation attenuated these changes. Ovariectomy also reduced bone ER expression and density, and the production of osteopcalcin and osteorotegerin, which are important pro-osteoplastic hormones that promote bone mineraliztion and density. Conversely, estrogen and EBN increased serum estrogen levels leading to increased bone ER expression, pro-osteoplastic hormone production and bone density (all P<0.05). CONCLUSION EBN could be used as a safe alternative to hormone replacement therapys for managing menopausal complications like bone degeneration.

Objectives: To investigate the prevalence and associated risk factors of tinnitus in Sichuan and Chongqing. Methods: We designed a tinnitus epidemiological questionnaire. The multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling methods was applied to obtain study subjects in six areas (Nanchong, Jiangjin, Fengdu, Yunyang, Suining and Ya'an), which were selected for epidemiological investigation. Home visit completion of epidemiological questionnaires was conducted. The trained investigators guided the respondents to fill in the tinnitus epidemiological questionnaires, and the epidemiological status of six areas on prevalence and risk factor was investigated. SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results: Sampling population were 10 289, in which 9 273 were valid questionnaires. There were 4 281 males and 4 992 females, with an average age of 47.3 years, among which 34.83% (3 230/9 273) had tinnitus. 3.99% (370/9 273) were diagnosed with bothersome tinnitus. In a multivariable logistic regression mod, the following factors were associated with onsetting of tinnitus: sleep disorder [Odds Ratio(OR)=3.74] and noise exposure(OR=1.99). The risk of disease was lowest in the age of 30-40 years old, while the risk of disease was higher for people under 30 and over 40. In another multivariable logistic regression mode, the following factors were associated with having bothersome tinnitus: older people were more likely to suffer from tinnitus, sleep disorders (OR=4.68) and noise exposure (OR=1.56). Conclusions: The prevalence of tinnitus in Sichuan and Chongqing is about 34.83%, but most of the tinnitus is short-lived and has low loudness, which will not affect the patients. Only a small number of patients with tinnitus (3.99%) persist and affect their health and need treatment. The occurrence and exacerbation of tinnitus may be related to sleep, age, and noise exposure.

Objective::To observe the effect of Huangjingwan (HW) on antioxidant functions and β-amyloid 1-42 (Aβ_1-42) and amyloid precursor protein (APP) expressions in the brain of Alzheimer' s disease (AD) rats. Method::SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group, sham model control group, AD model group, and low, medium, high-dose (equivalent raw drug dose 1, 3, 9 g·kg^-1·d^-1) HW groups.The AD models were established through intraperitoneal injection with 1.25% D-galactose (120 mg·kg^-1·d^-1, 6 consecutive weeks) and then one-time right ventricular injection with Aβ_1-42 (10 μg). Two weeks after modeling, the rats in each HW group received corresponding drugs through intragastric administration, once a day, while the rats in sham model control group, AD model group were given normal saline 1 mL through intragastric administration, once a day.Gastric perfusion lasted for 8 weeks.At the end of the experiment, learning and memory abilities of the rats were assessed by Platform Jumping Test.The changes of physical endurance in rats were tested by 10% weight swimming under load.The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) antioxidant enzymes and the contents of glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in rat brain tissue were detected by colorimetry.The changes of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), Aβ_1-42 and APP protein in rat brain tissues were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Western blot analysis was used to measure the expression of APP protein in rat brain. Result::Compared with the normal control group, rats in AD model group showed an obvious dementia state, that is more lying and less movement, longer learning response time, significant increase in the number of learning and memory errors, significant attenuation in physical fitness, significant decrease in the activities of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, GR, GSH-Px) and anti-inflammatory factors GSH in brain, significant rise in the levels of inflammatory factors MDA, IL-1β and TNF-α and the content of Aβ_1-42 protein, and significant reduction in the content of APP protein in brain (P<0.01). Low, medium and high-dose HW could ameliorate dementia symptoms in AD rats, improve the achievement of learning and memory, antagonize body weakness and increase physical fitness, promote SOD, GR, GSH-Px activities and anti-inflammatory factor GSH level in the brain, reduce the levels of MDA, IL-1β and TNF-α in the brain, decrease the level of Aβ_1-42 and increase the level of APP protein in the brains of AD rats compared with the AD model group (P<0.05, P<0.01), besides, within the dose range of 1-9 g·kg^-1·d^-1, HW has a more obvious effect with the increase of dose. Conclusion::HW has the effects in preventing and treating AD, which is related to the HW' s mechanisms in enhancing the function of antioxidant system in brain, reducing neuroinflammatory reaction and deposition of Aβ_1-42 induced by oxidative stress, and maintaining the expression level of APP protein.
