Objective In order to assess the structure damage of hip joint in ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a new radiograph-based scoring method was developed according to the radiological characteristics of hip involvement in AS, as well referring to prior existing scoring indexes. Methods A new scoring method consti-tuted of erosion, sclerosis and joint space narrowing was developed, pelvis anterior-posterior plain films acquired from patients with AS at baseline and follow-up were collected and assessed by two physicians who were trained in image reading by radiologists. All films were scored independently and blindly. Intra- and inter-reader reliability were assessed by intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC), the feasibility of this new scoring method was assessed by the mean time acquired to score a plain (two hips), its ability to detect the change of structure damage was assessed by the comparison of score differences between baseline and different follow-ups. The date were analyzed by paired-t test or nonparametric tests. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) or nonparametric tests were utilized for the comparison of means of quantitative variables among the three groups, while Chi-square test for rates of categorical variables. Results No statistically significant differences existed in demographic data and suspected risk factors among the three groups at baseline (P>0.05). Intra-observer reliability was good (0.84 and 0.89), as well as the inter-observer reliability (0.72), the mean time needed to score was (33 ±10) seconds. Score changes were not statistically significant in the groups with follow-up duration of 1-2 and 3-4 years, but in the group of over 5 years, baseline/final scores assessed by the two observers were (6.0±2.7/7.5±3.7) and (5.6±2.1/7.1±3.6), respectively, both changes were statistically significant (t=2.86, Z=-2.99; P<0.01). Conclusion This new method is not only reproducible and easy to operate in clinic practice, but also can tell the changes of hip joint structure damage in the interval of over 5 years, further validation is requeired to demonstrate its discriminability in large populations.

OBJECTIVES:
To investigate the protective effects of Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pill (, STP) on NaSO-induced hypoxia-reoxygenation injury in cardiomyoblast H9c2 cells.
METHODS:
The cell viability and levels of mRNA and protein expression in H9c2 cells were determined following NaSO-induced hypoxia using Hoechst staining, annexin V/propidium iodide (PI) flow cytometry, real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blot analysis.
RESULTS:
STP pretreatment significantly increased the viability and inhibited aberrant morphological changes in H9c2 cardiomyoblast cells induced by NaSO treatment (P<0.05). In addition, STP pretreatment attenuated NaSO-induced hypoxic damage, down-regulated the expression of pro-apoptotic Bax, and up-regulated the expression of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 in H9c2 cells (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
STP was strongly cardioprotective in hypoxia-reoxygenation injury by preventing hypoxic damage and inhibiting cellular apoptosis. These results further support the use of STP as an effective drug for the treatment of ischemic heart disease.

Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics 2019;21(6):567-572
OBJECTIVE:
To study the incidences of group B streptococcus (GBS) colonization in pregnant women and GBS infection in their preterm infants, and to investigate the risk factors for GBS colonization in preterm infants.
METHODS:
A total of 859 women who delivered before term from January 2017 to January 2018 were enrolled in this prospective cohort study. Bacterial culture was performed for GBS using the swabs collected from the rectum and the lower 1/3 of the vagina of the pregnant women on admission. A total of 515 of the above cases underwent real-time PCR assay for testing of GBS DNA. Bacterial culture was performed for GBS using the oropharyngeal secretion, gastric fluid or blood samples in preterm infants born to the 859 pregnant women. Peripheral blood samples from the pregnant women and umbilical cord blood samples from their preterm infants were collected to determine the level of anti-GBS capsular polysaccharide antibody. The incidence of GBS infection and perinatal risk factors for GBS colonization in the preterm infants were examined.
RESULTS:
The positive rate for GBS in the rectal and vaginal cultures was 14.8% (127/859) among the 859 pregnant women, and the positive rate in the GBS DNA testing was 15.1% (78/515). There were 976 live-birth preterm infants delivered by 859 pregnant women, and 4.4% (43/976) of whom were GBS positive. Four preterm infants had early-onset GBS diseases, including pneumonia in two cases and sepsis in two cases. In 127 preterm infants delivered by 127 GBS-positive pregnant women, the preterm infant group with a gestational age between 34 and 37 weeks had a significantly lower GBS positive rate and a significantly higher level of anti-GBS capsular polysaccharide antibody compared with the preterm infant group with a gestational age of less than 34 weeks (P=0.013 and 0.001 respectively). A multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that premature rupture of membranes time >18 hours and chorioamnionitis were independent risk factors for GBS colonization in preterm infants (OR=6.556 and 6.160 respectively; P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
GBS positive rate and anti-GBS capsular polysaccharide antibody level in preterm infants are correlated with gestational age. premature rupture of membranes time >18 hours and chorioamnionitis may increase the risk of GBS colonization in preterm infants.

A large number of cancer patients suffer from pain. Growing evidence suggested that pain might be a serious risk factor for cancer patients. The shared modulators and modulation pathways between neural system and tumor cells, such as various neurotransmitters and neurogenic cytokines, provide essential basis for the effect of pain on tumor. In this article, we reviewed some possible mechanism of this process from two aspects: the systematic regulation of central nervous system on endocrine and immunity, and the regional regulation of peripheral nerves on tumor cells. The aim of this review is to provide more innovative knowledge about pain and cancer and to emphasize the importance of anti-pain in the therapy of cancer.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the effect of human placental hematopoietic stem cells (PHSCs) on hematopoietic reconstruction in non-lethally irradiated mice.
METHODS:
Human placental HSCs were extracted by mechanical method combined with zymolysis and were identified by flow cytometry and colony formationtest. Twenty-five NOG mice were divided randomly into 4 groups: the blank control group (n=5), the irradiated group (n=4), the low dose PHSC group (n=8) and the high dose PHSC group (n=8). The mice in the irradiated, the low dose and the high dose PHSC groups were irradiated with X-rays at dose 1 Gy (100 cGy/min) under sterile condition. The mice in the low dose PHSC group and the high dose PHSC group were injected intravenously with 0.1 ml human placental HSC in dose of 2×10 and 1×10, respectively. The mice in the blank control and the irradiated group were injected with the same volume of saline. The mice were weighed weekly, and the changes of body weight were calculated. The peripheral blood was collected from each group at 4, 8 and 12 week for flow cytometrytic detection of human CD45 and myeloid and lymphoid cells.
RESULTS:
The flow cytometry and cell-colong formation test showed that the human placental HSC accounted for more than 0.75% of total placental mononuclear cells, moreover possess the differentiation ability. Compared with the blank control group, the relative weight gain in the irradiated, the low dose PHSC, and the high dose PHSC groups decreased significantly, and the relative weight gain in the low dose PHSC and the high dose PHSC group increased significantly as compared with the irradiated group. Flow cytometry showed that at the tine-point of 12 weeks after transplantation, the human blood immune system in the high-dose PHSC mice began long-term reconstruction, while the ratio of human CD45 cells in the low-dose PHSC mice was very low.
CONCLUSION
After transplantation of human PHSC the non-lethally irradiated mice can obtain short-term and long-term reconstruetion of human blood cells, which demonstrated that human placental HSC can differentiate and reconstruct hematopoietic function in vivo of irradiated mice.

In this paper, Fe3O4/MnO2doped graphene molecularly imprinted hybrid material ( Fe3O4/MnO2-MIP@ RGO ) was successfully synthesized via reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer ( RAFT ) molecularly imprinting technique by using methacrylic acid as functional monomer, divinylbenzene as cross-linker, Fe3O4/MnO2@ RGO as carrier, and 17β-estradiol ( 17β-E2 ) as template molecule. A novel molecularly imprinting electrochemical sensor by using Fe3O4/MnO2-MIP@ RGO modified electrode was constructed to specifically detect trace 17β-E2 in water. The experimental results showed that the Fe3O4/MnO2-MIP@ RGO electrochemical sensor exhibited rapid and linear current response to 17β-E2 in water samples with a linear range of 4 nmol/L to 0. 8 μmol/L ( R=0. 9852) , the detection limit was 47. 2 pmol/L (3σ) and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was from 2. 1% to 2. 5% . This study provides a simple and efficient, economical and reliable method for the monitoring of 17β-estradiol in the complex water environment.
