The diagnosis of lupus panniculitis may be difficult to make when the disease manifests only as subcutaneous lesions. We describe a 14-year-old girl with skin-clored nodules on her extremities and trunk. Skin biopsy revelade lobular panniculitis without vasculitis. A clinicohistopathologic diagnosis of lupus panniculitis was made. Treatment with hydroxychloquine 5mg/kg/day led to complete resolution of her lesions after 1 month. one year later, there was no sign of disease progression or recurrence.
