Objective:
To analyze the prevalence and the related factors of comorbidity of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure among primary and secondary school students in Changchun, so as to provide a basis for the intervention strategies of multiple disease prevention among primary and secondary school students.
Methods:
From September to October 2023,a stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 32 552 primary and secondary school students aged 7 to 18 from 16 counties (cities) and districts in Changchun City for physical examinations and questionnaires on behavioral patterns. The Chi-square test was used for intergroup comparison and unconditional Logistic regression model was used for analyzing related factors of comorbidity presence of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure among primary and secondary school students.
Results:
The detection rate of comorbidity of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure among primary and secondary school students was 8.7%.The detection rate of boys(10.1%) was higher than that of girls(7.3%), the detection rate was higher among students in urban areas ( 10.6 %) than that in suburban areas(5.7%); and the detection rate among vocation high school students(15.7%) was higher than that in general high school students (11.8%), junior high school students (10.2%) and primary school students (5.3%).All the differences were statistically significant (χ 2=84.67, 239.28, 468.64 ,all P <0.01).The results of the multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that daily moderate to vigorous physical activity for 60 minutes or more ( OR =0.70) was associated with a reduced risk of comorbidity of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure among primary and secondary school students; boys ( OR = 1.46 ), urban residents ( OR =1.70),junior high school students( OR =1.78), general high school students ( OR =1.97), vocational high school students ( OR =2.20), and screen time without meeting the standard( OR =1.11) were associated with an increased risk of comorbidity of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure among primary and secondary school students(all P <0.05).
Conclusions
The comorbidity detection rate of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Changchun is relatively high. Targeted measures should be developed to reduce the occurrence of overweight/obesity and elevated blood pressure with comorbidity of them.

Objective:
To analyze the association between different sleep behaviors and overweight and obesity of junior high school students in Yangzhou City, and to provide a basis for policies and interventions related to adolescent health management.
Methods:
A total of 1 589 students in grades 7-9 from two middle schools in Yangzhou City were selected using the cluster sampling method and were administered with sleep time, bedtime, social jetlag difference, and sleep habits.
Results:
Totally 64.38% were sleep deprived during the school days, 86.78% went to bed too late, 46.51% had a social jetlag of ≥1 h, and 37.44% took a nap every day(Incluldes holidays and school days). Social jetlag length was statistically different between grades( F =6.97, P < 0.01 ). Girls[(0.95±0.65)h] shown significantly higher social jetlag than the boys[(0.76±0.59)h]( t=6.19, P <0.01). Later bedtime on weekends, later wake up time on weekends and poor sleep behavior were risk factors for overweight and obesity in junior high school students( OR=1.20, 1.14, 1.04, P <0.05).
Conclusion
Junior high school students had less sleep and later bedtimes with the increase of grade, and weekend bedtimes, wake up times and poor sleep behavior were independently associated with the risk of overweight and obesity in junior high school students. Parents and schools should be instructed to pay attention to their sleep health and carry out adolescent sleep health guidance.

Objective:To explore the interleukin-31 protein expression in the hypertrophic scar of incision tissue after surgery and its underlying pathological impact. Methods:From February 2022 to February 2023, three HS patients scar tissue (HS) and their normal skin tissue (Control, NS) were obtained. Two patients were female and one patient was male. The tissues were fixed in 4% formalin and embedded in paraffin. Haematoxylin-eosin (HE) stain and immunohistochemical stain were used to evaluate the epidermal thickness, myofibroblasts of dermis and the expression level of IL-31 between HS and NS.Results:The epidermis thickness was (303.88±46.03) μm in HS group, while (133.02±17.40) μm in NS group ( t=12.60, P<0.001). The expression level of IL-31 protein was measured by IRS score and positive cell density. The IRS score was 9.89±2.03 of the basal layer in HS group and was 4.33±1.66 of the basal layer in NS group. The positive cell density was 786 343.83±159 627.97 of the basal layer in HS group ( P<0.001) and was 555 457.61±128 097.21 of the basal layer in NS group ( P=0.014). In the dermis layer, the IRS score was 7.11±1.05 in HS group and was 4.33±0.71 in NS group, the positive cell density was 156 760.97±26 046.10 in HS group ( P<0.001) and was 49 576.01±52 369.33 in NS group ( P<0.001). In the dermis layer, the count of myofibroblasts was 120.44±15.75 in HS group while was 27.39±14.89 in NS group ( t=23.79, P<0.001). Conclusions:Our study demonstrates that both myofibroblast count and IL-31 protein expression level are notably increased in HS patients. The expression of IL-31 protein is prominent in the cytoplasm of myofibroblasts, basal cells, macrophages and mast cells which could implicate that IL-31 may be a potential therapeutic target to enhance the resolution of HS.

OBJECTIVETo assess the association of polymorphisms of oncostatin M receptor (OSMR) gene with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in a Han Chinese population.
METHODSFor 351 DCM patients and 418 healthy controls, two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the OSMR gene, namely rs2292016 (promoter, -100G/T) and rs2278329 (missense, Asp553Asn), were genotyped with a TaqMan SNP genotyping assay. Two hundred of the patients were also followed up for (49.85 ± 22.52) months.
RESULTSFor rs2292016, carriers of GT genotype were more likely to develop DCM compared to those with GG and TT genotypes (OR=1.45, 95%CI: 1.09-1.92, P=0.01). For those who did not receive cardiac resynchronization therapy, the GG genotype of rs2292016 was an independent indicator for poor prognosis (OR=1.69, 95%CI: 1.11-2.63, P=0.017). No association was found between genotypes of rs2278329 with the susceptibility or prognosis of DCM.
CONCLUSIONPolymorphisms of the OSMR rs2292016 locus are related to the development and outcome of DCM.
