Objective To explore the real experiences of nutrition impact symptoms in esophageal cancer patients during diagnosis and treatment, and to provide references for developing nutritional management strategies. Methods Using purposive sampling,15 esophageal cancer patients admitted to the thoracic surgery department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Guangzhou from October to December 2024 were selected for semi-structured interviews.Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. Results 4 themes and 12 sub-themes were identified:①Multiple symptom perceptions:esophageal obstruction-dysphagia,appetite-affecting symptoms, multiple symptom over-lap,and individual differences in symptom perception.② Insufficient symptom cognition:overestimation of symptom controllability and biased symptom attribution.③ Negative emotional reactions:anxiety and fear about eating, frustration with declining eating function, and helplessness and guilt about losing control over eating.④ Di-verse symptom coping strategies:avoidance coping, adaptive coping, and active nutritional management. Conclusion The nutrition impact symptom experiences of esophageal cancer patients are complex and diverse.Healthcare professionals should promptly identify and assess nutrition impact symptoms, provide nutrition health education, strengthen psychological guidance, and develop culturally distinctive individualized nutritional management strategies.

Objective To investigate the distribution of A subgroups in the A and AB blood type populations among voluntary blood donors in Zhongshan, study the antigen-antibody characteristics of A subgroups, establish a local A subgroup database, and support the development of precision medicine. Methods ABO subgroup screening was performed using the microplate method.Specimens negative for monoclonal anti-A1 reactivity underwent sequencing of exons 1~7 of the ABO gene to confirm genotypes.Cryopreservation and thawing of glycerolized subgroup red blood cells(RBCs),as well as preservation efficacy of concentrated human-derived antibodies with preservatives, were studied. Results Among 1 212 blood donor specimens,28 subgroup specimens were identified, with a prevalence of 1.54%(15/971)in blood type A and 5.39%(13/241)in blood type AB.Sequencing of 10 specimens revealed 7 ABO genotypes:ABO*A2.01/O.01.02(2 cases),ABO*A1.02/B.01(3 cases),ABO*BA.02/O.01.02,ABO*AW.31.02-05/A2.05,ABO*A2.05/B.01,ABO*A2new/O.01.01,and ABO*A1.02/O.01.01(1 case each).Additionally, one rare allele mutation(c.700C>G)and one novel allele mutation(c.203G>T)(GenBank accession number:PQ152337)were identified.Human anti-A1 antibodies with a titer of 8 were successfully concentrated.Optimal preservation conditions included 0.1%preservative concentration and cryopreserved subgroup RBCs stored at 4℃for 3 days post-thaw.Conclusion The predominant A subgroups in Zhongshan donors are A2 and B(A).A preliminary database for A2 and A2B subgroups is established, along with the discovery of a novel ABO allele mutation.Cryopreservation with glycerol,PEG antibody concentration, and ProClin 300 preservative demonstrate effective applications in preserving ABO blood group antigens and antibodies.

Objective:To construct a perioperative pain nursing protocol for thoracoscopic surgery patients, providing a reference for clinical pain nursing practice. Methods:An evidence-based approach was used to search relevant guidelines and extract the best evidence. The initial draft was created through discussions among the research team, followed by two rounds of Delphi expert consultations. Based on the experts' suggestions, the protocol was revised and the best plan was finalized. Results:A total of 10 guidelines were included, and 22 experts participated in two rounds of consultations. The response rate for the consultation questionnaires was 100.00% (22/22) , with expert authority coefficients of 0.94 and 0.95 for the two rounds, respectively. The coefficient of variation for all indicators in the second round ranged from 0.04 to 0.24. The final pain nursing protocol included four primary indicators: personnel preparation, pain assessment, pain education, and pain intervention, with 10 secondary indicators and 27 tertiary indicators. Conclusions:The constructed perioperative pain nursing protocol for thoracoscopic surgery patients is significant, scientific, comprehensive, and targeted. It provides theoretical support and practical guidance for pain management, helping to reduce postoperative pain in patients.

Objective:To investigate the effect of management system on pregnancy outcome in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) of childbearing age. Methods:A total of 1203 patients with PCOS aged 20-45 years were collected in Reproductive Center of Zhongshan Boai Hospital from June 2016 to May 2018. Totally 755 who would like to be included in the long term management system were collected as study group and received basic blood pressure and weight control and serum monitoring, scientific education was performed through WeChat platform established for PCOS management and other methods. Other 448 patients with PCOS were not included in the long-term management system (control group), and their pregnancy outcomes were followed up.Results:The total pregnancy rate of study group was higher than that of control group (25.74% vs.18.13%, P=0.010), and the total abortion rate of study group was lower than that of control group (14.19% vs. 22.58%, P=0.199). Conclusion:Comprehensive management of PCOS patients of childbearing age can improve the public's cognition and acceptance of PCOS as a chronic disease, improve the compliance and pregnancy outcome of PCOS patients.

[Objective] To investigate the synergistic action of fuming-washing therapy with Qingbixifang ( a herbal lotion mainly composed of Herba Siegesbeckiae, Cortex Phellodendri, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae, Rhizoma Atractylodis, Herba Ecliptae, Nidus Vespae, Olibanum, Myrrha, etc.) on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with heat retention. [Methods] Sixty patients of RA with heat retention were randomized into groups A and B. Group A ( n = 30) was treated by fuming and washing the affected part with Qingbixifang, and taking Tongbiling Tablets and nimesulide; group B (n = 30) was treated by taking Tongbiling Tablets and nimesulide only. The treatment course of the two groups lasted one month. The time of morning stiffness, grip strength, the number of joints with tenderness, tenderness index, resting pain in joints, the number of swelling joints, swelling index, evaluation by patients themselves and by the doctor were compared before and after treatment. Laboratory parameters such as blood rheumatoid factor (RF), C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), white blood cell (WBC) count and platelet (PLT) count were also observed before and after treatment. [Results] The total effective rate was 90.0% in group A and 66.7% in group B, the difference being significant (P
