Serotonin syndrome (SS), also known as serotonin toxicity, is a rare but life-threatening drug reaction syndrome. This case involves a 17-year-old female patient who developed tremors, fatigue, and tachycardia after taking fluoxetine combined with bupropion and tandospirone for five days. SS was highly suspected, and her symptoms improved following treatment targeted at serotonin syndrome. This case is reported to raise awareness among clinicians about the potential adverse reactions of drug combinations, the importance of early identification of SS symptoms, and precautions when prescribing combined medications to avoid serious consequences.

Objective:To investigate the status of sedentary behavior and its influencing factors among inpatients with stable schizophrenia, providing empirical evidence for developing interventions to reduce sedentary behavior. Methods:A cross-sectional survey design was used to prospectively collect clinical data from 166 inpatients with stable schizophrenia (97 males, 69 females, mean age 56.4±8.4 years) hospitalized at the Shanghai Mental Health Center affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from February 2024 to May 2024. Sedentary behavior time was assessed using the Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire (SBQ), daily step count was measured via pedometers, and negative schizophrenic symptoms were evaluated using the Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms (SANS). Patients were divided into a non-sedentary behavior group (≥5 000 steps/day, 66 cases) and a sedentary behavior group (<5 000 steps/day, 100 cases). Clinical variables were compared between the two groups, and binary logistic regression was used to identify influencing factors of sedentary behavior. Results:Stable inpatients with schizophrenia exhibited high levels of sedentary behavior, with an average daily sedentary time of (8.03±2.33) hours and a median daily step count of 3 352 (1 258-5 506) steps. Significant differences were observed between sedentary and non-sedentary behavior groups in Age ( t=-2.38),hospitalization duration ( Z=-1.53),blunted affect ( t=-8.37),poverty of thought ( t=-2.45),avolition ( t=-2.45),impoverished interests/social engagement ( t=-2.41),abdominal obesity ( χ2=9.18),and open vs. restricted hospital/wards environment ( χ2=8.88)(all P<0.05). Binary logistic regression analysis identified that hospital/wards environment ( OR=0.314, 95 %CI: 0.125-0.787),hospitalization duration ( OR=1.001, 95 %CI: 1.000-1.001),and the negative symptom of blunted affect ( OR=3.256, 95 %CI: 1.960-5.407)(all P<0.05) were significantly influencing factors for sedentary behavior in patients with stable schizophrenia. Conclusion:Hospitalized patients with stable schizophrenia exhibit high levels of sedentary behavior. Hospital/wards environment and blunted affect are significant factors influencing sedentary behavior.

With the development of the economy in our country, trauma has already become a major medical burden in society, traffic injury has already become a major type of trauma, and the trauma of lower limbs is relatively much more.Since patients with lower extremity trauma have limited mobility, postoperative dressing changes need to be done at the bedside. At present,in the process of lower limb dressing change,it is necessary for family members or medical staff to help elevate the affected limb, which is unstable and difficult to adhere to.The dressing change process not only increases the pain of patients, but also affects the sight line and comfort of medical staff during operation, resulting in incomplete wound exposure and affecting the effect of dressing change. The washing solution and disinfectant in the dressing change process are easy to contaminate the sheets, which increases the difficulty of ward management. This dressing change method is unscientific, irregular and inconvenient to operate. Therefore, the medical staff of department of emergency of the First Hospital of Jiaxing City developed a mobile treatment vehicle for leg care for debridement and dressing change of patients with lower limb trauma, this device has been granted the National Utility Model Patent of China(patent numbeer:ZL 2021 2 0647636.0),which makes bedside debridement and dressing change more scientific, convenient and normative. The utility model relates to a mobile treatment vehicle for leg care, which is composed of a base,a support seat,a leg support plate,a support rod,a fixed plate and a smart trash can.The angle of the leg support plate can be adjusted 360 °by loosening the bolt, and the height can be adjusted by sliding up and down.Adequate rotation flexibility and high adjustment space can effectively solve problems of bedside debridement and dressing change for patients with lower limb trauma, provide scientific, simple and operable auxiliary tools for trauma medical staff, improve the comfort of patients and operators, and improve the quality of ward management in emergency trauma ward.

Objective:To explore the application of the O-PIRTAS flipped classroom in teaching the course of "developmental psychology".Methods:This study involved second-year undergraduate students majoring in clinical psychology. The 26 undergraduate students enrolled in 2023 who participated in the late adulthood section of the course were selected as the experimental group (O-PIRTAS teaching), while the 25 undergraduate enrolled in 2022 in the same course were selected as the control group (traditional teaching). Assessments were conducted through closed-book tests and questionnaires. The student questionnaire evaluated their theoretical knowledge, class assessment, and class engagement. The teacher questionnaire assessed the completeness of the lecture, logical flow, and student engagement. SPSS 22.0 was used for t test. Results:In the theoretical examination, the experimental group showed significantly higher scores compared to the control group in knowledge application [(13.09±1.59) vs. (10.54±0.77)] and practical problem-solving ability [(8.27±0.57) vs. (6.95±0.32)]. In the questionnaire survey, 24 (92.00%) students in the experimental group expressed recognition of the flipped classroom mode. Teachers reported greater improvement in satisfaction with the classroom performance of the experimental group compared to the control group.Conclusions:O-PIRTAS flipped classroom improves the quality of teaching "developmental psychology", enhances student learning outcomes, and stimulates learning motivation.
