1.Investigation on influencing factors of TCM constitutions among female medical workers in a tertiary TCM Hospital

Objective:To explore the impact of lifestyle on TCM constitutions among female medical workers at Xiyuan Hospital, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine using questionnaires; To provide references for optimizing their health management.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted. A total of 500 female medical workers were randomly selected from Xiyuan Hospital from April to December 2022 to complete the questionnaires. The relationship between lifestyle and constitutions of female medical workers was analyzed.Results:A total of 457 cases completed the questionnaires. Among the 9 constitutions, 102 people (22.32%) had a peaceful constitution, while 355 people (77.68%) had a biased constitution; the top three biased constitutions were qi stagnation constitution 90 people (19.69%), yang deficiency constitution 83 people (18.16%), and phlegm-dampness constitution 56 people (12.25%). The factors that influenced physical constitutions according to the severity of lifestyle were: sleep, diet, mood, exercise, labor, environment, children, and education.Conclusions:Female medical workers have a high proportion of biased constitution, and the main types of biased constitution are qi stagnation constitution, yang deficiency constitution, and phlegm-dampness constitution. According to the existing biased constitution, targeted adjustments and interventions are carried out, and it is of great significance to protect and care for the health of female medical workers from the concept of preventive treatment of diseases with TCM.

Over 2 million thoracoscopic pulmonary resections are performed globally each year,however,postoperative persistent air leak(PAL)remains a common and challenging complication.It not only prolongs hospital stays and increases treatment costs but may also lead to severe complica-tions,particularly inducing a higher risk in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation.In recent years,with the improvement of preoperative preventive measures,the advancement of surgical tech-niques,and the application of repair materials,the incidence of PAL has decreased.This review sys-tematically summarized the definition,clinical impact,risk factors and preventive strategies of PAL,and explored commonly used treatment modalities,such as thoracic drain management,pleurodesis and the application of novel repair materials.It also analyzed the effectiveness,safety and challenges of existing techniques.Furthermore,this review proposed the establishment of an enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)integrated pathway combining bovine pericardium(BP)patch with electro-me-chanical stapler and conducted corresponding treatment benefit-cost assessment.
3.Surveillance and epidemic characteristics of human brucellosis in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2014 to 2023

Objective:To analyze the epidemic characteristics of human brucellosis in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and to provide a basis for formulating targeted intervention strategies and implementation measures.Methods:The data of brucellosis cases with onset date from 2014 to 2023 and current address in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were collected from the Chinese Disease Control and Prevention Information System. Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the three-dimensional distribution of human brucellosis in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Results:From 2014 to 2023, a total of 131 201 brucellosis cases were reported in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with no death and an average annual incidence rate of 52.90/100 000. The lowest incidence was in 2016 (6 567 cases, 26.15/100 000), and the highest was in 2021 (21 910 cases, 91.14/100 000). All 12 cities (leagues) in the region had reported cases of brucellosis, with Tongliao City (27 012 cases), Chifeng City (15 286 cases), Hinggan League (14 859 cases), Hulunbuir (12 235 cases) and Ulanqab (11 972 cases) ranking among the top 5 cities (leagues) in terms of reported cases. Among the cases, 90 455 (68.94%) were males, with a incidence rate of 70.93/100 000, and 40 746 (31.06%) were females, with a incidence rate of 33.70/100 000. The age of onset is mainly 50 and less than 60 years old (37 610 cases, 28.67%). The occupational distribution was mainly farmers (102 091 cases, 77.81%), followed by herdsmen (13 209 cases, 10.07%).Conclusions:The incidence of human brucellosis in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is at a relatively high level, particularly showing an upward trend from 2016 to 2021. Cities such as Tongliao City, Chifeng City and Hinggan League have a relatively high incidence of brucellosis. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of brucellosis in these areas, implement prevention and control measures, and closely monitor the changes in the trend of human brucellosis outbreaks. Farmers and herdsmen are the primary high-risk groups, and it is recommended to enhance health education and behavioral interventions for these key populations.
4.Impact of Lupeol on Th17/Treg immune balance in rats with ulcerative colitis by regulating PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signal pathway

Objective:To explore the impact of Lupeol on Th17/Treg immune balance in rats with ulcerative colitis(UC)and the regulatory mechanism on PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signal pathway.Methods:All rats were randomly grouped into control group,model group,positive drug group(sulfasalazine),PI3K inhibitor group(LY294002 group),Lupeol group and Lupeol+PI3K activator group(Lupeol+740Y-P group),with 15 rats in each group.The rats were scored with UC disease activity index(DAI);HE staining was used to observe the pathological changes of the colon in rats and inflammation scoring was performed;the levels of serum IL-17 and IL-10 were detected by ELISA;the levels of Th17 and Treg cells in the mucosa of lamina propria of colon were detected by flow cytome-try;Western blot was applied to detect the expressions of RORγt,FOXP3 and PI3K/AKT/NF-κB pathway related proteins in colon tis-sue.Results:Compared with the control group,DAI score,inflammation score,serum IL-17 content,colon tissue Th17 cell level,RORγt expression and p-PI3K/PI3K,p-AKT/AKT,p-NF-κB p65/NF-κB p65 of rats in model group were increased,IL-10 content,Treg cell level and FOXP3 expression were decreased(P<0.05);compared with the model group,DAI score,inflammation score,serum IL-17 content,colon tissue Th17 cell level,RORγt expression and p-PI3K/PI3K,p-AKT/AKT,p-NF-κB p65/NF-κB p65 of rats in positive drug group,LY294002 group and Lupeol group were decreased,IL-10 content,Treg cell level and FOXP3 expression were increased(P<0.05);after further addition of PI3K activator 740Y-P,it was found that 740Y-P reversed the inhibition of Lupeol on Th17 cells and the promotion on Treg cells(P<0.05).Conclusion:Lupeol regulates Th17/Treg immune balance in UC rats by inhibiting PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signal pathway.

7.Correlation study between plaque characteristics and distribution under 3D HR MRI and clinical features of patients with mild middle cerebral artery stenosis

Objective:To investigate the characteristics and distribution of plaque of patients with mild middle cerebral artery(MCA)stenosis by using three dimensional(3D)high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging(3D HR-MRI),and the correlation between that and the occurrence of ischemic stroke.Methods:The clinical data of 64 patients with mild MCA stenosis who admitted to Beijing Huairou hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into symptomatic group(n=30)and asymptomatic group(n=34)according to whether occurred transient ischemic cerebral attack or ischemic cerebral stroke.The degree and distribution of plaque enhancement between the two groups were assessed and analyzed,and the correlation of plaque features in HR-MRI and ischemic stroke was analyzed.Results:There were a total of 71 plaques in 64 patients,including 30 responsible plaques and 41 non-responsible plaques.The enhancement degree of responsible plaques was significantly stronger than that of non-responsible plaques,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=5.645,P<0.05).Compared with non-responsible plaques,the responsible plaques more concentrated at the dorsal and upper walls of MCA,and the probability of occurring positive remodeling of responsible plaques was greater than that of non-responsible plaques,with statistical significance(x2=7.658,P<0.05).Conclusion:In patients with mild MCA stenosis,the degree enhancement and distribution location of plaque,and positively remodeling index of vessel are closely related to the occurrence of ischemic cerebral stroke.

9.Study on the HR-MRI in assessing plaque enhancement of patients with ICAS and relationship of that and stroke

Objective:To assess the enhancement characteristics of responsibility plaque of patients with intracranial artery stenosis(ICAS)and explore the correlation between that and stroke by using three dimensional high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging(3D-HR-MRI).Methods:A total of 72 ICAS patients who admitted to Beijing Huairou Hospital from April 2019 to April 2022 were retrospectively selected as the study objects,with a total of 96 atherosclerotic stenosis plaques.The plaques were divided into mild to moderate stenosis group(33 cases)and severe stenosis group(63 cases)according to the results of whole brain digital subtraction angiography.They were also were divided into sub-acute/acute plaque group(within 1 month)(47 cases)and non-acute plaque group(including chronic and non-responsible plaques)(49 cases)according to the time of occurring plaque.The imaging characteristics of the 3D-HR-MRI results were assessed by two radiologists.The degrees of plaque enhancement referred to the degrees of pituitary enhancement,and the degrees of plaque enhancement were divided into significant enhancement group(52 cases)and non-significant enhancement group that included moderate enhancement group and non-enhancement group(44 cases).The relationships between ICAS,degree of plaque enhancement and stroke were analyzed.Results:A total of 96 atherosclerotic stenosis plaques were confirmed in 72 patients.The statistical analysis of Kruskal-Wallis H test of multiple samples showed that there was a significant correlation between the time of occurring plaque and the degree of plaque enhancement(H=3.294,P<0.05).Univariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that the difference between the acute plaque group and the non-acute plaque group was respectively significant correlations with ICAS degree[P<0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.3-2.6)]and degree of plaque enhancement[P<0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.4-2.0)].The multivariate Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that both severe arterial stenosis[P<0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.3-1.9)]and significant enhancement of plaque[P<0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.4-2.1)]were independent risk factors of stroke.Conclusion:Severe ICAS and significant plaque enhancement are the independent risk factors of stroke,which can provide effective basis for clinical prevention,diagnosis and treatment of stroke.
10.Analysis of the re-entry status of voluntary blood donors with single reagent reactivity in Hohhot

【Objective】 To statistically analyze the re-entry test and blood re-donation of HBV, HCV, TP and HIV single-reagent reactive blood donors in Hohhot from 2019 to 2021, so as to demonstrate the rationality, feasibility and necessity of the re-entry strategy of voluntary blood donors in Hohhot, and provide theoretical support for further standardizing of the reentry of blood donors. 【Methods】 A total of 225 samples of blood donors who applied for re-entry in Hohhot from 2019 to 2021 were collected, and HBV, HCV and HIV were tested by two reagent serological tests and nucleic acid tests. TP anti-TP was detected by two reagent serological methods. The test results were all non-reactive and met the requirements of re-entry. The blood donation status of blood donors after re-entry was followed up and analyzed. 【Results】 Among the 225 cases detected for HBV, HCV, TP and HIV from 2019 to 2021 in Hohhot, 178 were qualified for the returning, with a re-entry rate of 79.11%, and 75 donated blood again, with a after re-entry re-donation rate of 42.13%. 【Conclusion】 The strategy of returning for HBV, HCV, TP and HIV single reagent reactive blood donors in Hohhot is effective, and has positive significance for safeguarding the rights and interests of blood donors and alleviating regional blood supply shortages.
