Objective:To explore the impact of lifestyle on TCM constitutions among female medical workers at Xiyuan Hospital, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine using questionnaires; To provide references for optimizing their health management.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted. A total of 500 female medical workers were randomly selected from Xiyuan Hospital from April to December 2022 to complete the questionnaires. The relationship between lifestyle and constitutions of female medical workers was analyzed.Results:A total of 457 cases completed the questionnaires. Among the 9 constitutions, 102 people (22.32%) had a peaceful constitution, while 355 people (77.68%) had a biased constitution; the top three biased constitutions were qi stagnation constitution 90 people (19.69%), yang deficiency constitution 83 people (18.16%), and phlegm-dampness constitution 56 people (12.25%). The factors that influenced physical constitutions according to the severity of lifestyle were: sleep, diet, mood, exercise, labor, environment, children, and education.Conclusions:Female medical workers have a high proportion of biased constitution, and the main types of biased constitution are qi stagnation constitution, yang deficiency constitution, and phlegm-dampness constitution. According to the existing biased constitution, targeted adjustments and interventions are carried out, and it is of great significance to protect and care for the health of female medical workers from the concept of preventive treatment of diseases with TCM.

Over 2 million thoracoscopic pulmonary resections are performed globally each year,however,postoperative persistent air leak(PAL)remains a common and challenging complication.It not only prolongs hospital stays and increases treatment costs but may also lead to severe complica-tions,particularly inducing a higher risk in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation.In recent years,with the improvement of preoperative preventive measures,the advancement of surgical tech-niques,and the application of repair materials,the incidence of PAL has decreased.This review sys-tematically summarized the definition,clinical impact,risk factors and preventive strategies of PAL,and explored commonly used treatment modalities,such as thoracic drain management,pleurodesis and the application of novel repair materials.It also analyzed the effectiveness,safety and challenges of existing techniques.Furthermore,this review proposed the establishment of an enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)integrated pathway combining bovine pericardium(BP)patch with electro-me-chanical stapler and conducted corresponding treatment benefit-cost assessment.

Background Some studies have found that exposure to heavy metals significantly increases the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and welding operators in automobile manufacturing enterprises are exposed to heavy metals in the working environment. Objective To analyze the prevalence and related factors of NAFLD in workers of an automobile company in Guangzhou. Methods From January 1 of 2023 to December 31 of 2023, 5463 workers of an automobile company in Guangzhou who participated in the physical examination in the Occupational Health Surveillance Centre of Guangzhou Occupational Disease Prevention and Treatment Hospital were selected as research subjects. The general data, laboratory examinations, B-ultrasound examinations, and other data of the subjects were obtained through the physical examination system. The exposed occupational hazards were identified based on the workplace hazard surveillance report provided by the automotive company. Logistic regression was used to analyze potential influencing factors of NAFLD, and stratified analysis was used to adjust confounding factors according to the stepwise model to evaluate the relationship between exposure to manganese and its inorganic compounds and NAFLD. Results A total of 2129 cases (38.97%) were reported positive NAFLD. The results of logistic regression analysis showed that women had a lower risk of NAFLD (OR=0.40, 95%CI: 0.25, 0.64), while age > 25 years old (OR=1.49, 95%CI: 1.39, 1.60), body mass index (BMI) ≥24 kg·m⁻² (OR=7.54, 95%CI: 6.46, 8.79), and elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) (OR=4.87, 95%CI: 3.73, 6.36), γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GGT) (OR=1.54, 95%CI: 1.17, 2.02), triglyceride (TG) (OR=3.47, 95%CI: 2.92, 4.14), and fasting blood glucose (OR=1.70, 95%CI: 1.32, 2.20) associated with a higher risk of NAFLD. NAFLD was positive in 39.40% of heavy metal exposed workers (701/1779). NAFLD was positive in 45.19% of workers exposed to manganese and its inorganic compounds (169/374), and among workers over 34 years old, exposure to manganese and its inorganic compounds (OR=1.79, 95%CI: 1.07, 2.97) significantly increased the prevalence of NAFLD. Conclusion The association between heavy metal exposure and NAFLD in workers of an automobile enterprise in Guangzhou is not significant, but age and gender are related to the prevalence of NAFLD. BMI, ALT, γ-GGT, TG, and fasting blood glucose are positively correlated with the prevalence of NAFLD. Exposure to manganese and its inorganic compounds in welding workers of the automobile enterprise is associated with elevated risk of the disease, and the prevalence of NAFLD is significantly increased in workers over 34 years old.

Objective:To assess the enhancement characteristics of responsibility plaque of patients with intracranial artery stenosis(ICAS)and explore the correlation between that and stroke by using three dimensional high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging(3D-HR-MRI).Methods:A total of 72 ICAS patients who admitted to Beijing Huairou Hospital from April 2019 to April 2022 were retrospectively selected as the study objects,with a total of 96 atherosclerotic stenosis plaques.The plaques were divided into mild to moderate stenosis group(33 cases)and severe stenosis group(63 cases)according to the results of whole brain digital subtraction angiography.They were also were divided into sub-acute/acute plaque group(within 1 month)(47 cases)and non-acute plaque group(including chronic and non-responsible plaques)(49 cases)according to the time of occurring plaque.The imaging characteristics of the 3D-HR-MRI results were assessed by two radiologists.The degrees of plaque enhancement referred to the degrees of pituitary enhancement,and the degrees of plaque enhancement were divided into significant enhancement group(52 cases)and non-significant enhancement group that included moderate enhancement group and non-enhancement group(44 cases).The relationships between ICAS,degree of plaque enhancement and stroke were analyzed.Results:A total of 96 atherosclerotic stenosis plaques were confirmed in 72 patients.The statistical analysis of Kruskal-Wallis H test of multiple samples showed that there was a significant correlation between the time of occurring plaque and the degree of plaque enhancement(H=3.294,P＜0.05).Univariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that the difference between the acute plaque group and the non-acute plaque group was respectively significant correlations with ICAS degree[P＜0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.3-2.6)]and degree of plaque enhancement[P＜0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.4-2.0)].The multivariate Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that both severe arterial stenosis[P＜0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.3-1.9)]and significant enhancement of plaque[P＜0.05,OR(95%CI)=1.0(0.4-2.1)]were independent risk factors of stroke.Conclusion:Severe ICAS and significant plaque enhancement are the independent risk factors of stroke,which can provide effective basis for clinical prevention,diagnosis and treatment of stroke.

Objective:To investigate the characteristics and distribution of plaque of patients with mild middle cerebral artery(MCA)stenosis by using three dimensional(3D)high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging(3D HR-MRI),and the correlation between that and the occurrence of ischemic stroke.Methods:The clinical data of 64 patients with mild MCA stenosis who admitted to Beijing Huairou hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into symptomatic group(n=30)and asymptomatic group(n=34)according to whether occurred transient ischemic cerebral attack or ischemic cerebral stroke.The degree and distribution of plaque enhancement between the two groups were assessed and analyzed,and the correlation of plaque features in HR-MRI and ischemic stroke was analyzed.Results:There were a total of 71 plaques in 64 patients,including 30 responsible plaques and 41 non-responsible plaques.The enhancement degree of responsible plaques was significantly stronger than that of non-responsible plaques,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=5.645,P<0.05).Compared with non-responsible plaques,the responsible plaques more concentrated at the dorsal and upper walls of MCA,and the probability of occurring positive remodeling of responsible plaques was greater than that of non-responsible plaques,with statistical significance(x2=7.658,P<0.05).Conclusion:In patients with mild MCA stenosis,the degree enhancement and distribution location of plaque,and positively remodeling index of vessel are closely related to the occurrence of ischemic cerebral stroke.

【Objective】 To statistically analyze the re-entry test and blood re-donation of HBV, HCV, TP and HIV single-reagent reactive blood donors in Hohhot from 2019 to 2021, so as to demonstrate the rationality, feasibility and necessity of the re-entry strategy of voluntary blood donors in Hohhot, and provide theoretical support for further standardizing of the reentry of blood donors. 【Methods】 A total of 225 samples of blood donors who applied for re-entry in Hohhot from 2019 to 2021 were collected, and HBV, HCV and HIV were tested by two reagent serological tests and nucleic acid tests. TP anti-TP was detected by two reagent serological methods. The test results were all non-reactive and met the requirements of re-entry. The blood donation status of blood donors after re-entry was followed up and analyzed. 【Results】 Among the 225 cases detected for HBV, HCV, TP and HIV from 2019 to 2021 in Hohhot, 178 were qualified for the returning, with a re-entry rate of 79.11%, and 75 donated blood again, with a after re-entry re-donation rate of 42.13%. 【Conclusion】 The strategy of returning for HBV, HCV, TP and HIV single reagent reactive blood donors in Hohhot is effective, and has positive significance for safeguarding the rights and interests of blood donors and alleviating regional blood supply shortages.

Photoplethysmography (PPG) is often affected by interference, which could lead to incorrect judgment of physiological information. Therefore, performing a quality assessment before extracting physiological information is crucial. This paper proposed a new PPG signal quality assessment by fusing multi-class features with multi-scale series information to address the problems of traditional machine learning methods with low accuracy and deep learning methods requiring a large number of samples for training. The multi-class features were extracted to reduce the dependence on the number of samples, and the multi-scale series information was extracted by a multi-scale convolutional neural network and bidirectional long short-term memory to improve the accuracy. The proposed method obtained the highest accuracy of 94.21%. It showed the best performance in all sensitivity, specificity, precision, and F1-score metrics, compared with 6 quality assessment methods on 14 700 samples from 7 experiments. This paper provides a new method for quality assessment in small samples of PPG signals and quality information mining, which is expected to be used for accurate extraction and monitoring of clinical and daily PPG physiological information.

Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with volumetric contrast imaging (VCI) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the developmental abnormalities of the fetal corpus callosum.Methods:Seventy-three fetuses who underwent cranial MRI within 1 week after suspected fetal corpus callosum dysplasia on ultrasound and received a definitive diagnosis in the neonatal period were retrospectively recruited for the study. The fetal corpus callosum was observed in the transverse, coronal, and sagittal views of the fetus, and the hyaline septal cavity, lateral ventricle, third ventricle, and corpus callosum were observed in the MRI scan. The diagnostic results and sensitivity of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with volumetric contrast imaging and MRI were analyzed.Results:Neonatal imaging showed that among 73 fetuses, 32 had agenesis of the corpus callosum, 29 had hypoplasia of the corpus callosum, and 12 had normal development of the corpus callosum. The differences in diagnostic results and sensitivity between 2D ultrasound combined with volumetric contrast imaging and MRI testing for agenesis of the corpus callosum were not statistically significant (all P>0.05), and the differences in diagnostic results and sensitivity for hypoplasia of the corpus callosum were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Both 2D ultrasound combined with volumetric contrast imaging and MRI are of high value for the diagnosis of partial-type agenesis of the corpus callosum, but MRI is more advantageous for the diagnosis of agenesis of the corpus callosum, and MRI can be a useful supplement and verification tool for ultrasound to provide a more accurate clinical diagnosis.

Objective:To study on the effects of gastrointestinal function and portal vein hemodynamics applicated with abdominal hot compressing with evodiae fructus and crude salt after hepatectomy.Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent hepatectomy were randomly divided into 2 groups by random number table method, with 30 in each group. The control group was treated with conventional basic western medicine, while the treatment group was treated with medicinal evodiae fructus and crude salt hot compress on abdomen on the basis of the control group. The portal vein diameter (PVD), portal venous flow velocity (PVV), recovery time of main clinical indexes, clinical symptom scores and liver function indexes were dynamically monitored at different observation time points.Results:The scores of abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group 3 days after treatment ( t values were -3.489 and -2.740, respectively, all Ps<0.05). The recovery time of bowel sounds, first exhaust time and first defecation time in the treatment group were significantly earlier than those in the control group ( t values were -3.622, -4.297 and -4.151, respectively, all Ps<0.01). With the extension of treatment time, ALT in 2 groups showed a gradual downward trend ( P<0.05 or P<0.01), DBIL in control group was significantly higher at 3 days after treatment than before ( t=-2.157, P=0.039), and TBIL was significantly lower at 7 days after treatment than before ( t=2.175, P=0.038). The PVD ( t values were 3.528, 2.160) and PVV ( t values were 11.096, 4.264) of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group 3 and 5 days after treatment ( P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion:Early application of abdominal hot compressing with evodiae fructus and crude salt hot compress on abdomen after hepatectomy can improve the portal vein blood circulation and promote the rehabilitation of gastrointestinal function in patients with hepatectomy.

Objective:To investigate the clinical and genetic features of early-onset Alzheimer's disease(EOAD)and the characteristics of pathogenic mutations in probands and their families.Methods:Clinical and genetic features of three EOAD probands and their family members China were analyzed and summarized.Peripheral blood of three probands and their relatives was collected and the genes were detected by second generation sequencing(Next Generation Sequencing, NGS). Pathogenic mutations carried by the probands were identified by whole exome sequencing and then verified by Sanger sequencing in the probands and their families.Furthermore, the clinical and genetic characteristics of EOAD were discussed.Results:The first case was familial EOAD, with the heterozygous mutation c. 851C>T(p.P284L)in exon 8 of PSEN1.The second was also a case of familial EOAD, involving the heterozygous deletion mutation c. 497_499del(p.Ile167del)in exon 6 of PSEN1.In the third proband, there was no family history and the c. 626G>A(G209E)mutation was found in exon 7 of the PSEN1 gene.All three patients had memory loss as their first symptom, accompanied by clinical manifestations of slow movement, abnormal gait, unclear speech, bladder and bowel incontinence, psychiatric and other symptoms.Conclusions:These mutations represent additional mutation types and clinical manifestations in EOAD patients.Examining the genetic characteristics of PSEN1 in EOAD may contribute to the understanding of the pathogenesis, genetic classification and clinical diagnosis of EOAD.
