1.Analysis of undernutrition and associated factors among left behind and nonleftbehind primary and secondary school students in the Nutrition Improvement Program areas in central and western China

Objective:
To investigate the prevalence of undernutrition and its associated factors among left behind and non left behind primary and secondary school students in the Nutrition Improvement Program for Rural Compulsory Education Students (NIPRCES) areas of central and western China, so as to provide evidence for improving the nutritional status of children and adolescents.
Methods:
A survey was conducted among 123 782 students selected by random cluster sampling method in grades 3-9 from NIPRCES in central (Hebei, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hunan, Hubei, and Hainan) and western (Gansu, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Tibet, Shaanxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Xinjiang, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Yunnan, Qinghai, and Chongqing) China in 2023. Anthropometric measurements and questionnaires were used to assess nutritional and dietary status. The prevalence of undernutrition was compared between left behind and non left behind students by Chi square test, and associated factors were analyzed by three level Logistic mixed effects model.
Results:
The prevalence of undernutrition was 8.5% (4 326) in left behind students and 8.1% (5 905) in non left behind students. Three level Logistic mixed effect model analysis showed that whether left behind or non left behind, the undernutrition rates of primary and secondary students in western regions were higher than those of students in central regions [ OR (95% CI )=1.72(1.57-1.87),2.25(2.07- 2.43 )]; the undernutrition risk was lower for those whose fathers had a cultural level of high school or above [ OR (95% CI )=0.69(0.62-0.77),0.90(0.82-0.98)] or junior high school [ OR (95% CI )=0.72(0.66-0.79),0.92(0.85-0.99)] compared to those with primary school or below; picky eating or selective eating increased the risk of undernutrition [ OR (95% CI )=2.36(2.07-2.68),2.28(2.04-2.55)], and primary and secondary school students without nutritional content in health education classes had higher rates of undernutrition [ OR (95% CI )=1.12(1.03-1.23),1.09(1.01-1.17)](all P <0.05).
Conclusion
The prevalence of undernutrition is slightly higher in left behind primary and secondary students than in non left behind primary and secondary students in central and western NIPRCES areas, with variations across different characteristics.
2.Temporal trends in the frequency of meat, egg and milk consumption among primary and secondary school students in rural central and western China, 2015-2023

Objective:
To analyze the trends of the frequency of meat, egg, and milk consumption among rural primary and junior high school students in central and western China covered by the Nutrition Improvement Program for Rural Compulsory Education Students (NIPRCES) from 2015 to 2023, so as to provide basis for formulating more targeted nutrition intervention policies and health education strategies.
Methods:
Using data from six rounds of monitoring and evaluation (2015-2021 and 2023), the study included 323 870 students from grade 3 to 9 across 22 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in central and western China. The consumption frequencies of meat, egg, and milk over the past week were collected via questionnaires. The Cochran-Armitage trend test was used to analyze temporal trends, and multivariable Logistic regression models were employed to analyze factors associated with the frequency of meat, egg and milk consumption and to test for interaction effects between the year and gender, region, and grade level.
Results:
From 2015 to 2023, the proportion of students consuming meat, egg, and milk ≥1 time/day increased from 23.20 %, 10.71%, and 0.74% to 35.53%, 22.09%, and 26.63%, respectively. Trend tests indicated a significant upward trend for the daily intake of all three food categories for meat, egg and milk over the years ( Z =67.18, 64.90, 93.14, all P <0.01). Multivariable Logistic regression analysis showed that the daily meat intake was lower in the central region than in the western region ( OR=0.77, 95%CI =0.76-0.78), whereas the daily intake of eggs ( OR=1.19, 95%CI =1.17-1.22) and milk ( OR= 1.27 , 95%CI =1.24-1.29) was higher in the central region (all P <0.05). Compared with grade 3-4 students, junior high school students had lower daily intake of meat, eggs, and milk≥1 time/day ( OR =0.95, 0.77, 0.77, all P <0.05), with a declining trend as grade increased. Girls also had lower daily intake of meat, eggs, and milk ≥1 time/day than boys ( OR =0.95,0.93,0.91, all P < 0.05). Significant interactions were observed between year and region, as well as between year and grade (all P <0.05).
Conclusion
From 2015 to 2023, the NIPRCES improved the intake level of among rural students, but the situation of relatively insufficient intake of egg and milk among females, junior high school students and those in the western region still exists.
3.Research on the knowledge of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its influencing factors among residents in Jiading District,Shanghai

To effectively carry out community health education and prevention and control of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),we conducted a questionnaire survey on the awareness of COPD knowledge among residents aged 40 and above in Jiading District of Shanghai by using two-stage sampling method.We included 1 783 permanent residents in 4 districts and collected 1 666 valid questionnaires.The awareness rates of COPD name,pulmonary function test and related knowledge were 15.9%,11.9%and 17.2%,respectively.For the main symptoms of COPD,the awareness rate of sputum was the lowest(65.2%),of shortness of breath and dyspnea was the highest(78.4%).For the risk factors,the awareness rate of severe respiratory tract infection in childhood was the lowest(67.3%),of smoking was the highest(86.8%).Multiple response analysis showed that mobile phones and computers accounted for the highest proportion of acquiring knowledge of COPD(66.7%).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that low educational level,low monthly income,engaged in production and manufacturing,never or less exercise,no use of indoor air improvement measures,no wearing of masks in public places and no vaccination of influenza vaccine per year were associated with lower awareness rate of COPD.The community should improve the way and ability of health science popularization,and carry out health education for key groups.
4.Mechanism of Congrong Shujing granules in treatment of Parkinson's disease based on network pharmacology,molecular docking and parallel reaction monitoring technology

Aim To explore the mechanism of Con-grong Shujing granule(CSGs)in the treatment of Par-kinson's disease(PD)by network pharmacology,mo-lecular docking and parallel reaction monitoring(PRM)technology.Methods The active components of CSGs and the target genes of Parkinson's disease were obtained through the database.The intersection targets of drugs and diseases were selected to construct the"drug-active ingredient-target"and protein interac-tion network.The intersection target genes were impor-ted into David database for GO and KEGG enrichment analysis,and the main components were docked with key targets.27 SD rats were randomly divided into the normal group(n=9),model group(n=9)and treat-ment group(n=9).On day 1,7 and 14 of treatment,PRM analysis was used to detect the changes in the specific peptides of key target proteins in the substantia nigra of rats.Results The main components of CSGs wereTanshialdehyde,Baicalein,Quercetin and Kaempferol.The most important targets for the treat-ment of PD were TP53,AKT1,EGFR,HSP90 AA1 and STAT3.KEGG analysis mainly enriched MAPK,PI3K-Akt and neurotrophic factor signaling pathway.The molecular docking between core components and core targets showed that the binding of drugs and targets had good activity.PRM analysis of key proteins found that the target peptide expression levels of ASK1,JNK1 and JNK3 were different among groups(P<0.05).Con-clusion CSGs can alleviate ERS,inhibit apoptosis and play a neural protective role through the ASK1-JNK pathway.
5.Overview of the application scope of image reshaping technology in patients with mental disorders

Objective The purpose of this study is to comprehensively review the application of image reshaping in patients with mental disorders,and provide theoretical bases for the clinical practice of image reshaping in patients with mental disorders in China.Methods Based on the Evidence Integration Handbook published by the Joanna Briggs Institute in Australia as the methodological guidance framework for this scope review,a systematic search was conducted on relevant studies on the application of image reshaping in patients with mental disorders from 12 domestic and foreign databases.The search period was from the establishment of the databases to January 31,2025,and the researchers summarized and analyzed the included literature.Results 18 articles were ultimately included.The core intervention process of image reshaping includes trauma memory recall,image rewriting,and constructing positive outcomes.The forms of intervention include face-to-face intervention,online intervention,and self-directed intervention.The intervention period is 1~17 weeks,and the intervention frequency is usually 1~2 times a week,with each intervention lasting 11-90 minutes.Image reshaping has significant effects on improving patients'emotions and psychological states,cognition and beliefs,behavior and function.Conclusion Image reshaping has a standardized intervention process that can effectively improve patients' emotional,cognitive,and behavioral functions.Future research should explore its optimal intervention plans and further test its applicability in different cultural backgrounds.
6.Research on a precision mode of reporting amount of medical consumables under the background of centralized procurement as quantity

Objective:To explore the application effect of a precision mode of reporting quantity under the background of procurement as quantity for medical materials on improving the management level for prediction of medical consumables.Methods:The fishbone diagram was applied to analyze the influence factors of reporting quantity in centralized procurement as quantity for medical materials.The work of reporting quantity were intervened according to predictive model for requirement,and management measures.The data of reporting quantity of centralized procurement of two kinds of medical materials(coronary artery stent and coronary artery dilation balloon)in clinical use at Peking Union Medical College Hospital between April 2021 and March 2024 were selected.According to different management modes for reporting quantity of consumables,the conventional mode was adopted to manage reporting quantity of consumables during April 2021 and March 2023,and precision mode was adopted to manage them during April 2023 and March 2024.Prediction deviation rate and execution deviation rate of the two kinds of modes of reporting quantity were compared.Results:The average prediction deviation rates for coronary artery stent and coronary artery dilation balloon of adopting precision mode for reporting quantity were respectively(12.19±2.64)%and(20.61±3.41)%,all of which were lower than those of conventional mode for reporting quantity,and the differences were significant(t=6.422,6.917,P<0.05).The average execution deviation rates were respectively(17.55±3.48)%and(25.85±2.56)%,all of which were lower than those of conventional mode for reporting quantity,and the differences were significant(t=7.148,7.436,P<0.05).Conclusion:Under the background of procurement as quantity for medical consumables,the precision mode for reporting quantity can enhance the precision for reporting quantity and the fine management level for the work of reporting quantity through establishes prediction model for quantity of procurement,and conducts effective management measures.
7.Study on the effectiveness and safety of a novel intravascular shock wave balloon for pre-treatment of severe coronary artery calcification lesions

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel intravascular lithotripsy(IVL)balloon—Vesscrack shockwave balloon—for vascular preparation before stent implantation in patients with severe coronary artery calcification(CAC).Methods This was a prospective,single-arm,multicenter study conducted in China from June 2022 to October 2022.Patients with severe CAC were treated with the Vesscrack shockwave balloon for lesion preparation,followed by drug-eluting stent(DES)implantation.Of these,33 patients underwent optical coherence tomography(OCT).The primary endpoint was procedural success,defined as successful stent implantation with residual stenosis≤30%and the absence of in-hospital major adverse events,including cardiac death,target vessel-related myocardial infarction,or target lesion revascularization.Results A total of 170 patients[mean age:(65.9±7.9)years,116 males]were enrolled.After treatment with IVL and DES,the minimum lumen diameter increased significantly compared to baseline[(2.34±0.40)mm vs.(0.95±0.33)mm,P<0.001],the degree of stenosis was significantly reduced[(13.24±6.60)%vs.(65.18±10.59)%,P<0.001].Procedural success was achieved in 100%of cases,and device success was 98.8%.The 30-day patient-related cardiovascular clinical composite endpoint(POCE)rate was 0.0,with no target lesion failure,no confirmed or potential thrombotic events were observed.The shockwave energy generator demonstrated excellent stability and ease of use.Among the 33 patients assessed with OCT,after IVL intervention,the maximum calcified area of the lumen[(3.51±1.51)mm2 vs.(2.85±1.80)mm2,P<0.001],and the minimum lumen area within the target lesion[(3.08±1.04)mm2 vs.(2.02±0.75)mm2,P<0.001],and after DES intervention,the luminal area of the largest calcified site[(6.59±1.64)mm2 vs.(2.85±1.80)mm2,P<0.001]and the minimum luminal area within the target lesion[(6.19±1.45)mm2 vs.(2.02±0.75)mm2,P<0.001]were significantly increased,and the differences were statistically significant.Conclusions The Vesscrack shockwave balloon is effective and safe for vascular preparation in patients with severe CAC prior to stent implantation.It achieves significant calcified plaque modification,high procedural success rates,and minimal complications.
8.Convoutional auto-encoder model-based cerebral blood flow impedance image reconstruction method

Objective To propose an image reconstruction method combining convolutinoal auto-encoder(CAE)and U-Net++network to solve the problems of ill-conditioned sensitivity matrix during cerebral blood flow impedance image reconstruction.Methods Firstly,the CAE model was optimized by introducing dense jump connections in the U-Net++network to enhance the perception of weak features in the sensitivity matrix.Secondly,the feature fusion mechanism in U-Net++network was combined to realize multi-scale fusion of the encoder and decoder in the CAE model,which improved the efficiency of feature transfer.Finally,the simulation data was used for pre-training and convolutional neural networks(CNN)was applied to predicting the conductivity,so as to implement high-precision image recontruction.In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,the reconstruction results for five representative regions of blood flow changes were compared with those by the Tikhonov and conjugate gradient(CG)methods.Results When compared with the Tikhonov and CG methods,the proposed method had the average relative error decreased by 56.96%and 53.05%and the correlation coefficient increased by 19.37%and 5.79%for the reconstruction results of the five representative regions,respectively.The mean value of the structural similarity index by the proposed method was higher than 0.757 for the reconstruction results of the five regions,which was significantly higher than those by the other two methods.Conclusion The proposed method accurately reflects the size and location of blood flow changes in the brain region,enhances the precision and quality of image reconstruction and provides an effective solution for accurate reconstruction of cerebral blood flow impedance images.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(10):1-8]

10.Exploring mechanism of action of hypericin in antidepressant effects based on single-cell sequencing

Aim To investigate the antidepressant mechanism of hyperforin via the utilization of single-cell sequencing technology.Methods C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into the control group,depres-sion model group,and hyperforin intervention group.The chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)model was induced and drug interventions were administered for 28 d.Behavioral experiments were conducted to as-sess depressive symptoms,and hippocampal tissue was collected for single-cell RNA sequencing.Key cell populations and differentially expressed genes across groups were identified,followed by PPI network,GO,and KEGG enrichment analysis.Results Behavioral experiments indicated that CUMS successfully induced depressive symptoms in mice,while hyperforin im-proved depressive behavior.In the depression model group,the proportion of brain perivascular macrophages(PVM)increased,and this proportion decreased after hyperforin intervention,approaching the level seen in the control group.The top 20 common differentially ex-pressed genes in the PVM subpopulation were Saa3,Hbb-bs and Ccl24.PPI network analysis identified core targets,including Ccl2,Dhx9,C3,Msr1,Cxcl2 and Cx3cr1.KEGG enrichment analysis revealed pathways related to chemokines,phagosome formation,and inosi-tol phosphate metabolism.Conclusion The antide-pressant mechanism of hyperforin may be related to the regulation of Ccl24 and its related chemokine signaling pathway by PVM.
