As the relationship between exposure to chemical carcinogens and human health risks becomes increasingly clear, identifying effective biomarkers to reveal early exposure and prevent the occurrence and development of tumors has become particularly critical. Ribosomal DNA (rDNA), a cluster of genes encoding ribosomal RNA, has emerged as a focal point in chemical carcinogen exposure research in recent years, due to its high copy number within cells and sensitivity to environmental stimuli. The dynamic changes in rDNA copy numbers, especially the significant alterations observed following exposure to environmental carcinogens, have rendered it a promising potential biomarker. This paper aims to systematically review the theoretical underpinnings and research progress of rDNA copy numbers as a biomarker for exposure to chemical carcinogens, and further discuss the challenges and prospects in future research and applications.

Objective To observe the retinal reattachment of suprachoroidal injection with sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD).Methods Twelve eyes of 12 patients with RRD diagnosed by the examinations of B-mode ultrasound,binocular indirect ophthalmoscope,OCT and scanning laser ophthalmoscope in West China Hospital of Sichuan University from October 2018 to February 2019 were included in this study.There were 7 males and 5 females,aged from 15 to 66 years,with the mean age of 32.40± 14.81 years.There were 4 eyes with BCVA＜0.1,4 eyes with BCVA 0.1-0.4,4 eyes with BCVA＞0.4.The extent of retinal detachment involves 1 to 4 quadrants.All eyes were injected with sodium hyaluronate via suprachoroidal space under non-contact wide-angle system.Surgery was performed by the same ophthalmologist with extensive surgical experience.During the operation,the retinal hole was handled with scleral freezing and laser photocoagulation.The follow-up was 2 months.The retinal reattachment was observed.Results Of the 12 eyes,6 eyes (50.00％) were anatomically reattached,4 eyes (33.33％) ere partly anatomically reattached with subretinal fluid,2 eyes (16.67％) were not reattached.The holes in 4 eyes of partly anatomically reattached with subretinal fluid were located on the choroidal pad and the holes were closed,in addition,the subretinal fluid gradually absorbed over time.Two eyes failed in retinal reattachment received vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade or sclera buckling surgery.No severe complications such as endophthalmitis and choroidal hemorrhage were found at follow-up visits.Conclusion Suprachoroidal injection of sodium hyaluronate is an effective and safe treatment for RRD,which can promote retinal reattachment.

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of intrapleural instillation of Yadanzi (Brucea Javan-ica)oil emulsion injection and cisplatin for malignant pleural effusion by literature searching and meta -analysis. Methods Databases were searched for random controlled trails (RCTs)including Pubmed,the Cochrane Library, CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Database and CBM.The quality of included RCTs was evaluated and the data were collected by 2 evaluators independently.Meta -analysis was performed using RevMan 5.2.Results 18 RCTs involving 1 322 par-ticipants was included.The results of meta -analysis indicated that intrapleural instillation of Yadanzi oil emulsion injection and cisplatin could improve the treatment efficiency of malignant pleural effusion (OR =3.82,95%CI 2.94 ~4.96,P <0.01)and improve the quality of life of patients(OR =4.07,95%CI 2.87 ~5.79,P <0.01),and reduce the gastrointestinal tract reaction (OR =0.55,95%CI 0.38 ~0.78,P <0.01)and white blood cell reduction occurs (OR =0.34,95%CI 0.25 ~0.46,P <0.01).Conclusion Intrapleural instillation of Yadanzi oil emulsion injection and cisplatin was effective and safe in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion,while the further studies should make efforts in improving research quality.
