Objective To report the diagnosis, treatment, and verification process of a patient with sex development disorder whose chromosomal karyotype and genetic test results are inconsistent, and conduct a literature review to improve the understanding of the mosaic status of sexual development disorders. Methods A 14-year-old patient presented with primary amenorrhea on April 3,2020,at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University, exhibiting female sexual characteristics. The patient underwent ultrasonic/magnetic resonance imaging of gonads, assessment of gonadal axis function, chromosomal karyotype, and molecular genetic testing,as well as pelvic exploration, malignant gonads resection, and hormone replacement therapy, resulting in drug-induced menstruation.During the diagnosis and treatment,it was found that the patient's chromosomal karyotype analysis was inconsistent with the molecular genetic test results.Subsequently, samples from the three germ layer cells were taken, and fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)was used to detect the sex chromosomes in each germ layer cell.XY probes were used to label the gonadal pathological sections to explore the distribution differences of the Y chromosome in the gonads, and changes in anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)levels before and after surgery were compared.Databases such as Wanfang and PubMed were searched to summarize relevant cohort study literature and understand the current status of research on this disease. Results The patient's body exhibited a significant differences between the 45,X and 46,XY cell lines in different germ layers and within the same layer tissues. The proportion of 45,X in buccal mucosal cells derived from the ectoderm was 30%(6/20),in peripheral blood lymphocytes derived from the mesoderm was 9.7%(11/114),and in bladder shed cells derived from endoderm was 20.4%(22/108).The gonadal pathological sections labeled with XY probes indicated a mosaic state with a reduced Y-chromosome;where the epididymal structure area had a 45,X cell line mosaic of 50.0%,and the malignant area had a normal"Y"content. After gonadal resection,AMH levels significantly dropped from 7.28 pmol/L to<0.07 pmol/L.Literature review revealed that patients with 45,X/46,XY have a complex phenotype spectrum, most with features of Turner syndrome, and female phenotypes are at risk of gonadal tumors. Conclusions In the diagnosis of difficult cases of sex development disorders, when performing peripheral blood karyotype testing, the number of counted cells and analyzed cells should be increased as much as possible, and multi-germ layer cell sampling should be performed.Gonads with a high"Y"mosaic rate are more prone to malignancy in the abdominal cavity.Detecting AMH levels can distinguish cryptorchidism and anorchidism in sexual development disorders with Y chromosomes.

Objective:This study aims to determine the risk perception, evacuation decision-making, and influencing factors related to typhoon disasters among public. Methods:A cross-sectional study will be conducted in residents of Hainan from September 2024 to January 2025. The study will employ chi-square tests, t-tests, and binary logistic regression analysis to examine factors influencing evacuation behavior decisions. Furthermore, structural equation modeling based on ordered choice model will be constructed to validate the mechanisms through which risk perception affects evacuation decision-making processes. Results:Among 517 respondents from 11 administrative districts (counties) in Hainan Province, 62.09% of the residents were willing to evacuate. The decision of public evacuation behavior was significantly related to disaster knowledge, official trust, risk perception, source of warning information and some demographic characteristics. Structural equation modeling demonstrated that warning information sources positively correlated with disaster knowledge and official trust (path coefficients: 0.363, 0.315, both P < 0.001). Both disaster knowledge and official trust showed positive correlations with risk perception (path coefficients: 0.157, 0.165, both P < 0.001), while risk perception positively influenced evacuation decisions (path coefficient: 0.137, P = 0.003). Moreover, source of warning information, disaster knowledge and official trust further positively affect evacuation behavior decision through risk perception, a key mediating variable. Conclusions:Disaster knowledge, official trust, risk perception and other factors can directly or indirectly affect the evacuation behavior of the public following the typhoon disaster. In typhoon-prone areas, it is recommended to enhance public risk perception through strategies such as authoritative training, diversified early warning channels, and improving government credibility, thereby promoting disaster preparedness and evacuation behaviors.

Paraplegia caused by spinal cord injury is a serious neurological complication, for which surgery is currently the main treatment method. Due to different surgical approaches, patients are usually expected to maintain a passive prone position for a long time or switch between the supine and prone positions. Affected by multiple factors such as neurogenic sensory disorders, pathological changes in muscle tone and operative duration, the risk of intraoperative acquired pressure injury (IAPI) is significantly increased. Current clinical prevention strategies for IAPI in these patients predominantly focus on localized pressure relief during positioning, lacking systematic, standardized comprehensive prevention protocols or evidence-based guidelines. To address it, Department of Nursing, Orthopedics Branch, China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, Spinal Trauma Professional Committee, Orthopedics Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Nursing Group of Spine and Spinal Cord Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine organized experts in relevant fields to formulate Guideline for the prevention of intraoperative acquired pressure injury in paraplegic patients with spinal cord injury ( version 2025), based on evidence-based medical evidence and latest research results and clinical practice at home and abroad. Eleven recommendations were put forward from the aspects of preoperative risk assessment, intraoperative prevention strategies, postoperative handover and monitoring, and supportive mechanisms for IAPI prevention, aiming to standardize the prevention measures and management strategies of IAPI in paraplegic patients with spinal cord injury and accelerate the recovery of patients and improve the therapeutic effect.

Atractylodes lancea is a perennial herbaceous plant of Asteraceae, with rhizomes for medical use. However, A. lancea plants from different habitats have great variability, and the germplasm resources of A. lancea are unclear and mixed during production. Therefore, it is urgent to protect new varieties of A. lancea. The distinctness, uniformity, and stability(DUS) testing of new plant varieties is the foundation of plant variety protection, and the DUS testing guidelines are the technical basis for variety approval agencies to conduct DUS testing. In this study, the phenotypic traits of 94 germplasm accessions of A. lancea were investigated considering the breeding and variety characteristics of A. lancea in China. The traits were classified and described, and 24 traits were preliminarily determined, including 20 basic traits that must be tested and four traits selected to be tested. The 20 basic traits included 3 quality traits, 5 false quality traits, and 12 quantitative traits, corresponding to 1 plant traits, 2 stem traits, 8 leaf traits, 6 flower traits, and 3 seed traits. The measurement ranges and coefficients of variation of eight quantitative traits were determined, on the basis of which the grading criteria and codes of the traits were determined and assigned. The guidelines has guiding significance for the trait evaluation, utilization, and breeding of new varieties of A. lancea.

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is the pillar for the development of motherland medicine, and animal medicine has a long history of application in China, characterized by wide resources, strong activity, definite efficacy, and great benefits. It has significant potential and important status in the consumption market of raw materials of TCM. In the context of global climate change, farming system alterations, and low renewability, the depletion of wild medicinal animal resources has accelerated. Accordingly, the conservation and sustainable utilization of wild resources of animal medicinal materials has become a problem that garners increasing attention and urgently needs to be solved. This paper summarizes the current situation of domestic and foreign medicinal animal breeding and research progress in industrial application in recent years and points out the issues related to standardized breeding, germplasm selection and breeding, and quality evaluation standards for medicinal animals. Furthermore, this paper discusses standardized breeding, quality standards, resource protection and utilization, and the search for alternative resources for rare and endangered medicinal animals. It proposes that researchers should systematically carry out in-depth basic research on animal medicine, improve the breeding scale and level of medicinal animals, employ modern technology to enhance the quality standards of medicinal materials, and strengthen the research and development of alternative resources. This approach aims to effectively address the relationship between protection and utilization and make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of medicinal animal resources and the animal-based Chinese medicinal material industry.
