Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most prevalent cancers in China.Early screening and timely treatment are crucial measures for reducing the incidence and mortality of CRC.Colonoscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of CRC,however,it is costly and represents an invasive screening method. In recent years, numerous novel non-invasive screening methods and strategies for CRC have emerged. These screening methods include questionnaire-based screening,stool-based examination, liquid biopsy,as well as combination of multiple non-invasive screening methods. This article reviewed the research progress on the non-invasive screening methods for CRC,introduced the principles, characteristics and clinical applications,in order to provide a basis for the promotion and application of these non-invasive screening methods for CRC.
