Objective:This study aimed to explore the status of radiological Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) among school-aged children in Chamdo City, Tibet, through a 3-year monitoring survey, providing epidemiological evidence for prevention and control strategies. Methods:The target areas for this study were Luolong, Bianba, and Basu counties in Chamdo City, Tibet Autonomous Region, identified as having the most severe historical cases of KBD. Children aged 7-12 years attending school were enrolled as study subjects. Anteroposterior X-ray films of the right-hand were taken, and radiological diagnoses were made based on the "Diagnosis of Kashin-Beck Disease" criteria (WS/T 207-2010). Two experienced researchers independently reviewed the X-rays, and intra- and inter-group consistency were assessed using weighted Kappa values and percentage agreement. Cross-sectional surveys were conducted in 2017 and 2020 to describe the X-ray detection rates of KBD, and logistic regression analysis was employed to construct a predictive model of risk factors for radiological KBD cases. Results:In 2017, a total of 5,711 children aged 7-12 years in Chamdo City, Tibet, participated in the baseline cross-sectional survey (average age 9.2 years, 48.0% female), with 28 cases of radiological KBD. The age- and gender-standardized prevalence rate was 0.527%. In 2020, 6,771 participants (average age 9.3 years, 49.5% female) underwent a second cross-sectional survey, with 9 cases of radiological KBD and a standardized prevalence rate of 0.134%. Logistic regression analysis indicated that older age [ OR=2.439, 95% CI(1.299, 4.580), P=0.006] and female gender [ OR=8.157, 95% CI(1.016, 65.528), P=0.048] were independent risk factors for radiological KBD cases. Conversely, higher residential altitude, under the premise of Tibet's high altitude, was a protective factor [ OR=0.995, 95% CI(0.990, 0.999), P=0.032). Conclusion:The radiographically positive detection rate of KBD among school-aged children in Chamdo City, Tibet Autonomous Region, is at an extremely low level and showing a declining trend, reaching the historical standard in 2020. Considering the absence of positive signs in affected children, it suggests that local KBD has been effectively eliminated.

Objective:To explore the regulation of eight weeks aerobic exercise on brain spontaneous activity in individuals with subthreshold depression. Methods:Through subject recruitment, a total of 44 subjects with subthreshold depression (subthreshold depression group, StD) who scored≥5 according to Patient Health Questionnare-9 (PHQ-9) but did not meet the diagnostic criteria for clinical depression, and 34 healthy subjects (health control group, HC) were included. Two groups of participants were given 8-week moderate-intensity aerobic exercise intervention, and resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) data were collected before and after the intervention to analyze the fractional amplitude of low frequency fluctuations (fALFF) in the two groups. Horizontal two-sample t-tests with years of education as a covariate and longitudinal paired-samples t-tests were performed for fALFF in both groups at baseline and after 8-week moderate-intensity aerobic exercise intervention. The relationship between the fALFF values in significant difference brain regions and psycho-psychological scales were examined by Spearman correlation. Results:After 8 weeks of moderate intensity aerobic exercise, the scores of PHQ-9 and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) in StD were significantly lower than baseline ( t=7.08,5.99, both P<0.001). There was no significant difference in fALFF value between StD and HC at baseline. After aerobic exercise intervention, compared with the HC, the fALFF value of the left parahippocampal gyrus in the StD was significantly decreased, and the fALFF value of the left superior frontal gyrus and left precentral gyrus was significantly increased. After aerobic exercise intervention, compared with the baseline, the StD had significantly higher fALFF values in the left inferior parietal lobe (supramarginal gyrus and angular gyrus), right supramarginal gyrus and left anterior cingulate gyrus. In addition, compared with the baseline, the fALFF value of the right precentral gyrus in the HC was significantly decreased. After aerobic exercise intervention, the fALFF value of the left inferior parietal lobe was negatively correlated with the SAS scores ( r= -0.31, P=0.038), the fALFF value of the left anterior cingulate gyrus and the PHQ-9 item 2 (low mood) scores was negatively correlated ( r= -0.41, P=0.006), and the fALFF values of the left inferior parietal lobe, right supramarginal gyrus and the PHQ-9 item 6 (low self-evaluation) scores were negative correlated ( r=-0.39, P=0.010; r=-0.30, P=0.048). Conclusion:Eight weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise can regulate the spontaneous activity pattern of local brain regions in individuals with subthreshold depression, and fALFF analysis can provide objective evidence for the antidepressant effect of aerobic exercise.

Objective To investigate the effect of ultrasound debridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage on the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer and the potential mechanism. Methods Eighty-one patients with diabetic ulcer were randomly divided into two groups:ultrasound debridement combined with vacuum sealing drain-age as the experimental group, routine debridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage as the control group. The clinical curative effect, the reduction rate of the wound, the rate of blastocyst and the rate of bacterial clear-ance and blood flow were detected. Results The clinical curative effect in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05). The rates of wound reduction and granulation were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 14-day treatment, the blood perfusion in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the expression of HIF-1α and VEGF in the ulcer tissue was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Ultrasound de-bridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage can improve the clinical efficacy, wound reduction rate,granu-lation coverage rate and bacterial clearance rate, and increase ulcer tissue blood flow. The potential mechanism is related with the increases of HIF-1α and VEGF in ulcer tissue.

Asthma is a phenotypically heterogeneous chronic disease of the airways. Studies have found that neutrophils are crucial to airway inflammation in acute asthma, persistent asthma, particularly in asthma of poor response to glucocorticoid treatment. The role of neutrophils in development of bronchial asthma is complex, as they can release a potent source of cytokines and inflammatory mediators participating in asthma. Differing from eosinophilic inflammatory asthma, neutrophilic inflammatory asthma is not depend on helper T (Th)2 cells, but may be related to Th1 and Th17 cells. This review highlights the role of neutrophils in the development of asthma, and the treatment of neutrophilic asthma with biological agents and novel small molecules.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2016;(1):82-86
The reversible phosphorylation plays an important regulatory role in various pathological and physiological processes. Src Homology 2 domain containing protein tyrosine phosphatase (SHP2),a featured member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family,is identified as the first PTP proto-oncogene. SHP2 is associated with breast cancer, leukemia, lung cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, laryngeal cancer, oral cancer and other types of cancer. Signalling pathways involving SHP2 have also been discovered. It has been recently reported that the high expression of SHP2 in lung cancer regulates cancer cell proliferation, metastasis and drug resistance. SHP2 may be a potential thera?peutic target because it is implicated in many diseases. This article focuses on the research progress in functions of SHP2 in lung cancer.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(5):1113-1117
In order to improve the accuracy of blood pressure measurement in wearable devices, this paper presents a method for detecting blood pressure based on multiple parameters of pulse wave. Based on regression analysis between blood pressure and the characteristic parameters of pulse wave, such as the pulse wave transit time (PWTT), cardiac output, coefficient of pulse wave, the average slope of the ascending branch, heart rate, etc. we established a model to calculate blood pressure. For overcoming the application deficiencies caused by measuring ECG in wearable device, such as replacing electrodes and ECG lead sets which are not convenient, we calculated the PWTT with heart sound as reference (PWTT(PCG)). We experimentally verified the detection of blood pressure based on PWTT(PCG) and based on multiple parameters of pulse wave. The experiment results showed that it was feasible to calculate the PWTT from PWTT(PCG). The mean measurement error of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure calculated by the model based on multiple parameters of pulse wave is 1.62 mm Hg and 1.12 mm Hg, increased by 57% and 53% compared to those of the model based on simple parameter. This method has more measurement accuracy.
