Objective:To explore the correlation between the total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TC/HDL-C) ratio during pregnancy and the onset of gestational metabolic syndrome (GMS), as well as its association with pregnancy outcomes.Methods:Clinical data of 153 pregnant women diagnosed with GMS in the third trimester admitted to Women′s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2020 to December 2022 (observation group) were collected, and data of 153 healthy pregnant women (control group) were randomly selected for a comparative study. Indicators of the two groups were observed and compared. Multiple linear regression and restricted cubic spline analysis were used to analyze the correlation between TC/HDL-C in the first and second trimesters and metabolic indicators in the third trimester and GMS risk, respectively. According to the pregnancy outcomes of GMS pregnant women with different TC/HDL-C ratios, the association between TC/HDL-C ratio and preterm birth subtypes was analyzed.Results:There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in age, gestational week, pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI), weight gain during pregnancy, abdominal circumference in the third trimester, whether to deliver vaginally, history of preterm birth, history of cesarean section, history of abortion, neonatal birth weight, and neonatal length (all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in blood pressure and BMI between the two groups in the second and third trimesters (all P<0.01). In the first trimester (gestational week <14 weeks), there were statistically significant differences in fasting plasma glucose (FPG), HDL-C, and TC/HDL-C ratio between the two groups (all P<0.05). In the second trimester (gestational weeks 14-27) and third trimester (gestational week ≥28 weeks), the levels of FPG, fasting insulin (FINS), triglyceride (TG), TC, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and TC/HDL-C ratio in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while HDL-C was lower (all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in postpartum abnormal blood pressure, abnormal BMI, abnormal glucose metabolism, and abnormal lipid metabolism (all P<0.05). After adjusting for age, gestational week, and BMI, first-trimester TC/HDL-C ratio was correlated with third-trimester FPG, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, TG, TC, and HDL-C (all P<0.05); second-trimester TC/HDL-C ratio was correlated with third-trimester FPG, FINS, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, TG, TC, HDL-C, and LDL-C (all P<0.05), and both were linearly related to third-trimester GMS risk ( Pfor trend<0.01). The TC/HDL-C ratio was positively correlated with the preterm birth rate ( RR>1). Conclusions:An increased TC/HDL-C ratio is closely related to the occurrence of GMS, which is prone to cause preterm birth and affect fetal growth and development.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of Kinesio Taping combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of patellofemoral disorder in middle-aged and elderly exercise enthusiasts. METHODS: From April 2018 to April 2020, 62 middle-aged and elderly exercisers with patellofemoral disorder were selected and divided into observation group and control group. In the observation group, there were 30 cases:12 males and 18 females, aged from 35 to 66 years old, with an average age of (48.32±6.80) years old. The observation group was treated with Kinesio Taping and electroacupuncture . In the control group, there were 32 cases:12 males and 20 females, aged from 35 to 67 years old, with an averageage of (48.67±8.13) years old. The patients in the control group was treated with knee electroacupuncture. All the patients in both groups were treated once every other day, 3 times a week, for a total of 4 weeks. The VAS pain score and knee Lysholm score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and statistical analysis was conducted. RESULTS: In the control group, 2 patients were not satisfied with the curative effect after 2 weeks of treatment and gave up treatment, while the remaining 60 patients completed all the treatments. After 4 weeks of treatment, the VAS and Lyshlom scores of the control group were 2.73±1.46 and 75.63±8.62 respectively;the VAS and Lyshlom scores of the observation group were 2.02±1.85 and 83.31±5.53 respectively;the VAS and Lyshlom scores of the observation group and the control group were better than those before treatment, and the Lyshlom scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group. CONCLUSION Kinesio Taping combined with electroacupuncture is aimed at patellofemoral disorderof middle-aged and elderly sports enthusiasts. It has little trauma, can relieve pain and has a fast onset speed, which is readily accepted by patients, and promotes the rehabilitation of knee joint function of patients, thus providing a favorable reference for the promotion in clinical application.

Objective To evaluate the effect of increasing sunshine time or 1, 25(OH)₂D₃ supplement on improving Vitamin D blood level and reduction of microalbuminuria in early stage diabetic nephropathy (DN) patients. Methods A total of 150 early stage type 2 DN patients with serum 25(OH)D₃ lower than 15 mg/L were included.The patients were divided into sunshine group (n=50), 1, 25(OH)₂D₃ supplement group (n=50), and control group (n=50).After three-month treatment, serum 25(OH)D₃ level and urinary albumin to creatinine ratio(ACR)were compared among these three groups. Results Before treatment, there were no differences in serum 25(OH)D₃, ACR, HbA1c among the three groups.After three-month treatment, serum 25(OH)D₃ level was significantly improved in sunshine group, and ACR was reduced significantly in both sunshine group and 1, 25(OH)₂D₃ group. Conclusion Increasing sunshine time can improve Vitamin D level and reduce microalbuminuria in early stage diabetic nephropathy patients.

Objective: To observe the short- and long-term clinical outcomes of fraction flow reserve (FFR)-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients with SYNTAX score≥33 unsuitable for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Methods: A total of 117 CAD patients admitted in our hospital from 2012-01 to 2015-06 were enrolled. Since SYNTAX score≥33, EuroSCORE>6, the patients were unsuitable for CABG and treated in 2 groups: Medication group, n=20 and PCI group, during FFR-guided PCI procedure, patients received ROTA or IVUS according to physician's experience, n=97. All patients were followed-up for at least 12 months. Meanwhile, taking "coronary stent and bypass", "CABG and PCI" as key words, we searched relevant documents in VIP Chinese science and technology journal full-text database, WanFang medical database, ChinaNet and Chinese biomedical literature database from 2012-01-01 to 2015-12-31, patients' outcomes were compared with the above references to explore the clinical benefit. Results: ① PCI group and Medication group had similar SYNTAX score and EuroSCORE, P>0.05. The common pathogenesis was LAD involvement, chronic occlusion was 31.3% (5/16) in patients with partial revascularization.②PCI group had 18.6% (18/97) incidence of major adverse cardiac and cerebral events (MACCE), 2 patients died during follow-up period and 9 received revascularization; Medication group had 60% (12/20) incidence of MACCE, 3 patients died during follow-up period; the difference between 2 groups showed statistical meaning, P<0.05.③There were 22 relevant documents retrieved as comparison; in our research, PCI group had similar incidence of MACCE to the documents, P>0.05; Medication group had increased incidence of MACCE than the documents, P<0.05. Conclusion: FFR-guided PCI could bring clinical benefit in CAD patients with SYNTAX score≥33 unsuitable for CABG.

BACKGROUNDTo study the characters of high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) in the seizure onset zones (SOZ) and the nonseizure onset zones (NSOZ) in the electrocorticography (ECoG) of patients with neocortical epilepsy.

METHODSOnly patients with neocortical epilepsy who were seizure-free after surgery as determined with ECoG were included. We selected patients with normal magnetic resonance imaging before surgery in order to avoid the influence of HFOs by other lesions. Three minutes preictal and 10 min interictal ECoG as recorded in 39 channels in the SOZ and 256 channels in the NSOZ were analyzed. Ripples and fast ripples (FRs) were analyzed by Advanced Source Analysis software (ASA, The Netherlands). Average duration of HFOs was analyzed in SOZ and NSOZ separately.

RESULTSFor ripples, the permillage time occupied by HFOs was 0.83 in NSOZ and 1.17 in SOZ during the interictal period. During preictal period, they were 2.02 in NSOZ and 7.93 in SOZ. For FRs, the permillage time occupied by HFOs was 0.02 in NSOZ and 0.42 in SOZ during the interictal period. During preictal period, they were 0.03 in NSOZ and 2 in SOZ.

CONCLUSIONSHigh-frequency oscillations are linked to SOZ in neocortical epilepsy. Our study demonstrates the prevalent occurrence of HFOs in SOZ. More and more burst of HFOs, especially FRs, means the onset of seizures.

The STandards for Reporting Interventions in Clinical Trials Of Moxibustion (STRICTOM), in the form of a checklist and descriptions of checklist items, were designed to improve reporting of moxibustion trials, and thereby facilitating their interpretation and replication. The STRICTOM checklist included 7 items and 16 sub-items. These set out reporting guidelines for the moxibustion rationale, details of moxibustion, treatment regimen, other components of treatment, treatment provider background, control and comparator interventions, and precaution measures. In addition, there were descriptions of each item and examples of good reporting. It is intended that the STRICTOM can be used in conjunction with the main CONSORT Statement, extensions for nonpharmacologic treatment and pragmatic trials, and thereby raise the quality of reporting of clinical trials of moxibustion. Further comments will be solicited from the experts of the CONSORT Group, the STRICTA Group, acupuncture and moxibustion societies, and clinical trial authors for optimizing the STRICTOM.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the analgesic and sedative effects of inhaling a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen on burn patient during and after dressing change.

METHODSA total of 240 burn patients hospitalized in the Institute of Burn Research of Changhai Hospital Affiliated to the Second Military Medical University, Department of Burns of the First People's Hospital in Zhengzhou, and Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from October 2011 to September 2012 were enrolled in our study, and they were all in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The 240 patients were divided into control group (n = 60, treated with inhalation of oxygen during dressing change) and treatment group (n = 180, treated with inhalation of a mixture of 65% nitrous oxide and oxygen during dressing change) according to the computer-generated list of random number. The other treatments in control group and treatment group were the same. Before, during, and after dressing change, heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), oxygen saturation (SO2), and adverse effects were observed. The degree of pain and anxiety felt by the patients were respectively evaluated with the visual analogue scale (VAS) and Chinese version of the burn specific pain anxiety scale (C-BSPAS) at the same time points as above. Data were processed with analysis of covariance, chi-square test, analysis of variance, and rank sum test.

RESULTSThere were no significant differences between control group and treatment group in the levels of HR, SBP, DBP, and SO2 before dressing change (with F values respectively 0.76, 0.06, 1.11, 0.70, P values all above 0.05). Compared with those of control group, the levels of HR, SBP, DBP, and SO2 in treatment group were significantly ameliorated during dressing change (with F values respectively 81.78, 146.36, 226.44, 205.62, P values all below 0.01). After dressing change, the levels of DBP in the two groups were close (F = 0.31, P > 0.05), but the levels of HR, SBP, and SO2 showed statistical differences (with F values respectively 7.02, 8.69, 12.23, P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Before dressing change, the VAS scores were approximate between control group and treatment group (Z = 0.21, P > 0.05). Compared with those in control group (9.4 ± 0.7, 1.7 ± 2.5), the VAS scores were significantly lowered in treatment group during and after dressing change (1.6 ± 1.3, 0.7 ± 1.1, with Z values respectively 11.84, 3.35, P values all below 0.01). There was no significant difference in C-BSPAS score between control group and treatment group before dressing change (Z = 0.62, P > 0.05). Compared with those in control group (75 ± 13, 73 ± 12), the C-BSPAS scores in treatment group were decreased during and after dressing change (9 ± 15, 9 ± 14, with Z values respectively 11.91, 12.28, P values all below 0.01). There were no obvious adverse effects in two groups before, during, and after dressing change.

CONCLUSIONSA mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen seems to have obvious analgesic and sedative effects on burn patients during dressing change, and it can be widely used.

To sequence and analyze the full-length gene sequence of rabies vaccine virus aG strain. The full-length gene sequence of aG strain was amplified by RT-PCR by 8 fragments,each PCR product was cloned into vector pGEM-T respectively, sequenced and assemblied; The 5' leader sequence was sequenced with method of 5' RACE. The homology between aG and other rabies vaccine virus was analyzed by using DNAstar and Mega4. 0 software. aG strain was 11 925nt(GenBank accession number: JN234411) in length and belonged to the genotype I . The Bioinformatics revealed that the homology showed disparation form different rabies vaccine virus. the full-length gene sequence of rabies vaccine virus aG strain provided a support for perfecting the standard for quality control of virus strains for production of rabies vaccine for human use in China.
