To formulate an expert consensus on the principles of preoperative hair removal and provide scientific guidance for standardized removal of hair before surgical procedures so as to reduce the incidence of surgical site infections.METHODS Led by the Hospital Management Institute of National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China,this consensus was reached with the joint efforts from the expects of relevant fields such as surgeries,interventional therapies,nursing,and infection prevention and control.The consensus facilitates the classification and evaluation of literatures by following the evidence grade formulated by Oxford Evidence-based Medicine Center and focuses on the association of preoperative hair removal with surgical site infection,it reaches the evidence grade of expert consensus and recommendation intensity by integrating with discussions on meetings and clinical experience of the expects from relevant fields.RESULTS A total of 6 items of consensus were reached by summarizing the latest evidence on the aspects including the indications for preoperative hair removal,tools,range,timing and places.CONCLUSION The consensus,to some extent,make supplements to and complete the exiting regulations and standards.It provides guidance for the medical institutions to carry out the preoperative hair removal.
2.The characteristics of serum galactose-deficient IgA1 and galactose-deficient IgA1/IgA ratio in normal children

Objective:To explore the characteristics of serum galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) and Gd-IgA1/IgA ratio in normal children.Methods:The children from a kindergarten and 3 primary or secondary schools in Baoding (Hebei Province) from March to August 2023 were included in the cross-sectional study.According to their age, the children were divided into the 3-6-year-old group, >6-11-year-old group, and >11-16-year-old group.Besides, some adults were also included as the control group.The immunoturbidimetric assay was used to detect serum IgA levels, and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was employed to detect Gd-IgA1 and Gd-IgA1/IgA levels.The above indicators were subject to normal distribution tests and analysis of variance (ANOVA)or rank sum test.Results:A total of 136 normal subjects were included for analysis.Among these subjects, there were 64 males and 72 females.There were 13 children in the 3-6-year-old group, 51 children in the >6-11-year-old group, and 56 children in the >11-16-year-old group.Besides, 16 normal adults (28-45 years old) from the physical examination center were also included as the control group.The serum IgA levels of the 3-6-year-old group, >6-11-year-old group, >11-16-year-old group, and adult group were (0.88±0.35) g/L, (1.38±0.65) g/L, (1.78±0.61) g/L, and (2.49±0.94) g/L, respectively.Except for no statistically significant difference between the 3-6-year-old group and the >6-11-year-old group, as well as between the >11-16-year-old group and the adult group, all other age groups showed statistically significant differences in serum IgA levels (all P<0.05).The serum Gd-IgA1 levels of the 3-6-year-old group, >6-11-year-old group, >11-16-year-old group, and adult group were 7.77(5.77, 16.51) μg/L, 7.12(5.29, 9.82) μg/L, 8.96(6.21, 14.30) μg/L, and 9.39(6.63, 40.00) μg/L, respectively, with statistically significant differences ( H=9.22, P=0.027).There was no significant difference in the Gd-IgA1/IgA ratio among different groups ( P=0.130).The correlation analysis suggested that Gd-IgA1/IgA1 did not correlate with age ( r=0.134, P=1.200).The Gd-IgA1 level was positively correlated with the IgA level ( r=0.204, P=0.017).There was no significant difference in serum IgA, Gd-IgA1, and Gd-IgA1/IgA levels between different gender groups. Conclusions:There are differences in Gd-IgA1 levels among different age groups among these children, but Gd-IgA1/IgA is not correlated with age.As a diagnostic biomarker, Gd-IgA1 should be emphasized from the different levels among different age groups, while Gd-IgA1/IgA seems to be more convenient for clinical research and application.
3.Health economic evaluation of minimally invasive surgery in treatment of digestive tract cancers: a Meta-analysis

Objective:To compare minimally invasive surgery with traditional open surgery, analyze the current application status of health economic evaluations in the treatment of digestive tract cancers, such as esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, and colorectal cancer by minimally invasive surgery and provide evidence for the rational selection of clinical treatment, alleviation of disease-related economic burdens, and rational allocation of healthcare resources.Methods:By using five databases, i.e. China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang data, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PubMed, and Embase, a database was established to retrieve all the papers about health economic studies of minimally invasive surgery for esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, and colorectal cancer published until December 31, 2023. Literature was analyzed by using software NoteExpress 3.8, and data were processed using Excel 2021. The quality of included papers was evaluated using the CHEERS 2022 checklist, and Meta-analysis was conducted by using software Stata 17.0.Results:A total of 10 919 relevant papers were retrieved, and 59 studies were included. Only 14 studies (23.7%) used standard health economic evaluation methods. Meta-analysis results revealed no significant differences in direct medical expenditure and total expenditure between minimally invasive surgery and open surgery. However, the expenditure for minimally invasive surgery exhibited a significant increase [mean difference ( MD)=5 973.12 yuan, P<0.001], while hospital stay and indirect expenditure significantly decreased ( MD: -4.85 days and -733.79 yuan, P<0.001). In China, for gastric cancer, the direct medical expenditure of endoscopic surgery was lower than that of open surgery ( MD=-33 000.00 yuan) with no significant difference ( P<0.001). In colorectal cancer cases, the direct medical and surgical expenditures for laparoscopic surgery were higher than those for open surgery ( MD: 4 277.94 yuan and 4 267.80 yuan, P<0.001), while the indirect and total medical expenditures decreased ( MD: -768.34 yuan and -159.10 yuan). Hospital stays in patients who had minimally invasive surgery for all three types of cancer were shorter than those who had open surgery ( P<0.001). Conclusions:In the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, compared with open surgery, minimally invasive surgery shows higher expenditure, but has advantages, such as shorter hospital stay and lower indirect expenditure, and there were no significant differences in direct medical and total expenditures between the two approaches. When conducting health economic evaluation, factors such as postoperative complications, hospital stay, and patient's economic status should be considered for their impact on total medical expenditure. It is necessary to pay attention to the application of health economic evaluations in healthcare decision-making.

Body weight abnormalities, including overweight, obesity, and underweight, have become a dual public health challenge in Chinese adults: overweight and obesity lead to a variety of chronic complications, while underweight increases the risks of malnutrition, sarcopenia, and organ dysfunction. To systematically address these issues, multidisciplinary experts in endocrinology, sports science, nutrition, and psychiatry from various regions have held multiple weight management seminars. Based on the latest epidemiological data and clinical evidence, they expanded the guideline to include assessment and intervention strategies for underweight, in addition to the core content of obesity management. This guideline outlines the etiological mechanisms, evaluation methods, and multidimensional management strategies for overweight and obesity, covering key areas such as diagnosis and assessment, medical nutrition therapy, exercise prescription, pharmacological intervention, and psychological support. It is intended to provide a scientific and standardized approach to weight management across the adult population, aiming to curb the rising prevalence of obesity, mitigate complications associated with abnormal body weight, and improve nutritional status and overall quality of life.
6.Research progress and prospects of tetrahedral framework nucleic acids in liquid biopsy

Liquid biopsy,as an emerging minimally invasive early detection method for tumors,has shown great potential;however,several challenges limit its application in tumor diagnosis.Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids(tFNAs)have garnered significant attention in the biomedical field due to their structural stabili-ty,programmability,and superior intracellular endocytosis and tissue penetration capabilities.These properties make tFNAs an ideal candidate for constructing advanced biosensing platforms for liquid biopsy applications.tFNAs significantly enhance the binding efficiency of circulating tumor cells(CTCs),circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA),and extracellular vesicles(EVs),thereby improving the sensitivity and detection capability of the liquid biopsy biosensing platform.This review provides a comprehensive overview of tFNAs-based biosensors in the liquid biopsy field.It elaborates on the synthesis,characteristics,and applications of tFNAs in detecting CTCs,ctDNA,and EVs.Additionally,it discusses the diverse strategies and advantages of tFNAs in biosens-ing applications,highlighting how these features significantly enhance the performance and reliability of bio-sensors.Finally,this review addresses the current challenges faced by tFNAs in liquid biopsy and explores their future prospects,aiming to facilitate early screening,precise diagnosis,and integrated diagnostic-treat-ment approaches for tumors.
7.Phenotypic Function of Legionella pneumophila Type I-F CRISPR-Cas.

OBJECTIVE:
CRISPR-Cas protects bacteria from exogenous DNA invasion and is associated with bacterial biofilm formation and pathogenicity.
METHODS:
We analyzed the type I-F CRISPR-Cas system of Legionella pneumophila WX48, including Cas1, Cas2-Cas3, Csy1, Csy2, Csy3, and Cas6f, along with downstream CRISPR arrays. We explored the effects of the CRISPR-Cas system on the in vitro growth, biofilm-forming ability, and pathogenicity of L. pneumophila through constructing gene deletion mutants.
RESULTS:
The type I-F CRISPR-Cas system did not affect the in vitro growth of wild-type or mutant strains. The biofilm formation and intracellular proliferation of the mutant strains were weaker than those of the wild type owing to the regulation of type IV pili and Dot/Icm type IV secretion systems. In particular, Cas6f deletion strongly inhibited these processes.
CONCLUSION
The type I-F CRISPR-Cas system may reduce biofilm formation and intracellular proliferation in L. pneumophila.

OBJECTIVE:
This study aimed to explore the association between body mass index (BMI) and mortality based on the 10-year population-based multicenter prospective study.
METHODS:
A general population-based multicenter prospective study was conducted at four sites in rural China between 2013 and 2023. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards models and restricted cubic spline analyses were used to assess the association between BMI and mortality. Stratified analyses were performed based on the individual characteristics of the participants.
RESULTS:
Overall, 19,107 participants with a sum of 163,095 person-years were included and 1,910 participants died. The underweight (< 18.5 kg/m 2) presented an increase in all-cause mortality (adjusted hazards ratio [ aHR] = 2.00, 95% confidence interval [ CI]: 1.66-2.41), while overweight (≥ 24.0 to < 28.0 kg/m 2) and obesity (≥ 28.0 kg/m 2) presented a decrease with an aHR of 0.61 (95% CI: 0.52-0.73) and 0.51 (95% CI: 0.37-0.70), respectively. Overweight ( aHR = 0.76, 95% CI: 0.67-0.86) and mild obesity ( aHR = 0.72, 95% CI: 0.59-0.87) had a positive impact on mortality in people older than 60 years. All-cause mortality decreased rapidly until reaching a BMI of 25.7 kg/m 2 ( aHR = 0.95, 95% CI: 0.92-0.98) and increased slightly above that value, indicating a U-shaped association. The beneficial impact of being overweight on mortality was robust in most subgroups and sensitivity analyses.
CONCLUSION
This study provides additional evidence that overweight and mild obesity may be inversely related to the risk of death in individuals older than 60 years. Therefore, it is essential to consider age differences when formulating health and weight management strategies.

In recent years,significant breakthroughs have been achieved in the immunotherapy for Alzheimer's disease.In line with global advancements,two anti-amyloid-β monoclonal antibodies have been approved and successfully launched in China for clinical use.Lecanemab and Donanemab were officially used in June 2024 and April 2025 in China,respectively.In order to standardize the rational and safe application of anti-amyloid-β monoclonal antibodies for Alzheimer's disease in China,this article integrates recom-mendations from the clinical trials and real-world experience from the author's team and domestic peers to further update the recom-mendations for the clinical use of anti-amyloid-β monoclonal antibody based on the 2024 version.It includes indications for therapy,pre-treatment evaluation and preparation,administration protocols and safety measures during treatment,and post-treatment monitor-ing strategies.

In the field of substance detection,ion dissociation techniques have become crucial for enhancing qualitative accuracy.By applying external energy to induce dissociation of ions in the substance being analyzed,the internal structural information can be obtained,thereby improving qualitative capabilities.Current research on ion dissociation techniques primarily focuses on tandem mass spectrometry,which typically requires a vacuum environment.However,research on ambient ion dissociation techniques is less developed,with some progress made in the field of tandem ion mobility spectrometry.Recently,the development of field-induced dissociation(FID)in this area has enabled ambient dissociation of various explosive and volatile alcohol ions.Nevertheless,the limitation imposed by the maximum breakdown field of air restricts the energy of the electric field,making it challenging to dissociate ions with high energy requirements,such as those of drugs.To address this issue,in this work,an ambient heat-induced dissociation(HID)technique based on high temperatures was proposed,in which an ambient ion heat-induced dissociation unit was developed and integrated into a home-made ion trap mass spectrometer.Experiments were conducted on four representative drug samples,e.g.methamphetamine,heroin,cocaine,and ketamine.The parent ions mass spectra,low vacuum collision-induced dissociation(CID)mass spectra and ambient HID mass spectra for each sample were obtained.By analyzing and comparing the fragmentation products from ambient and low vacuum dissociation,the feasibility of the ambient HID technique was verified.This technique provided a method for ion dissociation in single mass analyzers without tandem mass spectrometry capability and offered a new research direction for the future development of tandem ion mobility spectrometry.
