Background Prehospital emergency medical personnel (PEMP) are exposed to long-term high-pressure work, which can exacerbate psychological distress and impair job satisfaction and sleep quality. However, in-depth research on the interactions among these factors is lacking. Objective To assess the status of psychological distress, job satisfaction, and sleep quality of PEMP in Guangzhou and to explore the mediating role of sleep quality in the relationship between psychological distress and job satisfaction. Methods From February to May 2025, 1085 PEMP from "120" emergency network hospitals in Guangzhou were selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected via the General Information Questionnaire, Kessler Psychological Distress Scale, Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 25.0, and The mediation model of sleep quality in linking psychological distress and job satisfaction was constructed using AMOS 28.0. The bias-corrected Bootstrap method was employed to assessed the significance of the mediating effect. Results A total of 1063 valid responses were received (97.97% valid response rate). The mean scores were: psychological distress (27.99±10.75), job satisfaction (69.45±15.84), and sleep quality (9.82±4.47). Significant differences in the three scores were found across gender, age, monthly night shift frequency, and hospital grade (P<0.05). Higher job satisfaction was linked to lower psychological distress and better sleep quality and its dimensions, while psychological distress directly correlated with poorer sleep quality (P<0.01). Sleep quality partially mediated the relationship between psychological distress and job satisfaction, with a mediating effect of −0.195, accounting for 43.62% of the total effect. Conclusion The participants report moderate psychological distress, moderate-to-high job satisfaction, and poor sleep quality. Psychological distress directly affects job satisfaction and indirectly through its impact on sleep quality. Interventions aimed at improving sleep health and mental health are essential to improve personnel well-being and work efficiency.

Hospital caregivers,as crucial auxiliary groups in the healthcare system, face persistent stigmatization rooted in sociocultural and institutional dynamics, leading to diminished professional dignity and distorted service behaviors. This paper explores the social construction and cultural reproduction mechanisms underlying such stigmatization, revealing how internalized stigma and service alienation reinforce each other.Drawing on ethical and structural analysis, the study proposes a dual-path the-oretical framework integrating psychological empowerment and institutional enfranchisement.By enhancing individual resilience and reshaping organizational structures, this integrated approach seeks to reconstruct the occupational identity of care workers and foster an ethical breakthrough in service delivery, ultimately promoting the de-stigmatization and sustainable development of the profession.

In the context of the prevention and control for coronavirus disease (COVID), public health emergency governance has been incorporated into an important part of the national governance system, and the "combination of peacetime and wartime" has become an important principle of public health emergency governance. Based on the experience of public health emergency management in large cities and the theory of collaborative governance, this study analyzed the problems and obstacles of general hospitals in coping with emerging respiratory infectious diseases. It is proposed to select general hospitals above tertiary level in the region to build peacetime and wartime combined emergency hospital, establish standardized conversion procedures and strengthen the construction of key elements of integrated emergency hospitals, so as to provide new ideas for the construction of emergency medical system "combination of peacetime and wartime" mechanism and improve the "combination of civilian and combat" public health emergency governance system.

Establishing fever clinic was an important achievement of the fight against severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in 2003, and played an important role in the subsequent outbreaks of H1N1, H7N9 and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). Fever clinics have significant emergency characteristics, but there are no rescue conditions in the fever clinics. Consequently, the problem of establishment and management of fever clinics is still outstanding. Based on the development of fever clinics, this paper analyzes the operational dilemma of fever clinics, explores the measures of establishment and management of fever clinics, and constructs the operational mechanism of fever clinics in order to provide the basis for the emergency management system of public health emergencies, which is suitable for Chinese health system.

The United Kingdom is the longest-serving community in the welfare states, and has been serving for more than sixty years so far. The construction of community care service supply model in the United Kingdom is deeply influenced by the neo-liberalism and neo-managerialism, which dominated the reform and development of pur-chasing community care services. Presently, China is actively promoting the government to purchase pension services of public health care combined with the long-term care, especially policy and determination of community-based de-velopment of an elders' service model. Based on the purchased services experience of the United Kingdom combined with the situation in China, this paper puts forward some suggestions such as the repositioning the role of the govern-ment, actively supporting the development of civil service organizations and perfecting the legal system of care serv-ices to be purchased, supporting the development of proposals to reduce the burden on the government and enhance the efficiency of care services through improving their quality.

Objective To investigate the correlation between arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2 )and end-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure (PET CO2 )in prone position operation and calculate the value of PaCO2 according to the PET CO2 .Methods Forty patients with ASA Ⅰ orⅡ undergoing spinal surgery were selected, and the values of PaCO2 and PET CO2 as basic value (T0 ) after induction of general anesthesia in supine position monitor and record the value of PET CO2 and PaCO2 in prone position after 30 min (T1 ),60 min (T2 )and 90 min (T3 ).The correlation between PaCO2 and PET CO2 in each time point were analyzed, and the equation of PaCO2 (y)and PET CO2 (x) with curve fitting and difference of PaCO2 and PET CO2 were calculated. Results There was significant correlation between PaCO2 and PET CO2 in the supine and prone position, their correlation coefficients were r 0 =0.84,r 1 =0.88,r 2 =0.84,r 3 =0.82 (P <0.01).The Pa-ET CO2 was (5.3±2.1)(T0 )in supine position and (6.6± 2.1 )mm Hg (T1 ),(5.8 ± 2.2 )mm Hg (T2 ),(5.9 ± 2.1 )mm Hg (T3 )in prone position. The equation in each time point PaCO2 (y)and PET CO2 (x)were y0 =1.1 x0 +2.5,y1 =1.1 x1 +2.3,y2 =1.1 x2 +2.4,y3 =1.1 x3 +4.6,and the Pa-ET CO2 was 3.7-8.7 mm Hg. There was no significant difference between PaCO2 and PET CO2 at T1-T3 .Conclusion Whenever in prone position or supine position,PET CO2 and PaCO2 have significant correlation in prone position and supine position. The overall range of Pa-ET CO2 is 3.7-8.7 mm Hg,and the PET CO2 can be as indica-tor to estimate PaCO2 in prone position.

We isolated three secondary metabolites by silica gel column chromatography from endophytic fungus 12.3.2 that was isolated from Taxus yunnanensis and could produce taxanes. They were identified as cembrene (3,7,11-trimethyl-14-(1-methylethyl)-1,3,6,10-cyclotetradecatetraene), diisooctyl phthalate (1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid diisooctylester) and ethyl oleate (9-octadecenoic acid-ethyl ester) by infrared spectra (IR), mass spectra (MS) and 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Their antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans were examined. Results show that all of the three compounds could inhibit the growth of those pathogenic bacteria. Especially, cembrene showed stronger inhibition to S. aureus, B. subtilis and C. albicans. This is the first report on cembrene produced by plant endophytic fungus.
