Rapid and ultrasensitive detection of pathogen-associated biomarkers is vital for the early diagnosis and therapy of bacterial infections. Herein, we developed a close-packed and ordered Au@AgPt array coupled with a cascade triggering strategy for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and colorimetric identification of the Staphylococcus aureus biomarker micrococcal nuclease (MNase) in serum samples. The trimetallic Au@AgPt nanozymes can catalyze the oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) molecules to SERS-enhanced oxidized TMB (oxTMB), accompanied by the color change from colorless to blue. In the presence of S. aureus, the secreted MNase preferentially cut the nucleobase AT-rich regions of DNA sequences on magnetic beads (MBs) to release alkaline phosphatase (ALP), which subsequently mediated the oxTMB reduction for inducing the colorimetric/SERS signal fade away. Using this "on-to-off" triggering strategy, the target S. aureus can be recorded in a wide linear range with a limit of detection of 38 CFU/mL in the colorimetric mode and 6 CFU/mL in the SERS mode. Meanwhile, the MNase-mediated strategy characterized by high specificity and sensitivity successfully discriminated between patients with sepsis (n = 7) and healthy participants (n = 3), as well as monitored the prognostic progression of the disease (n = 2). Overall, benefiting from highly active and dense "hot spot" substrate, MNase-mediated cascade response strategy, and colorimetric/SERS dual-signal output, this methodology will offer a promising avenue for the early diagnosis of S. aureus infection.

This study was designed to evaluate the correlation between immune antibodies and pelvic inflammatory disease(PID)using retrospective analysis.Cases were selected from 171 patients who met the diagnosis of PID in Liuzhou People's Hospital of Guangxi Province from January 2022 to March 2023,and the PID patients were further divided into simple PID group(53 cases)and in PID combined with reproductive tract infection group(118 cases)according to the presence or absence of reproductive tract infections,while 83 cases of women who did not meet the specific diagnostic criteria of PID and did not have reproductive tract infections were selected as the control group during the same period.The positive rate of immune antibodies in the three groups were observed and compared to explore the relationship between immune antibodies and PID.Data showed that the positive rates of immune antibodies were significantly higher in the PID alone group and the PID combined with reproductive tract infection group than that in the control group.Furthermore,the positive rate of immune antibody TPOAb was significant difference in the PID combined with reproductive tract infection group and the PID alone group(P<0.05).In conclusion,TPOAb is closely associated with reproductive tract infections.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) among sonographers in Guangdong Province, and to explore the disease pattern of the cases. Methods A total of 512 sonographers from 31 hospitals in Guangdong Province were selected as the research subjects using stratified cluster sampling method. The prevalence of WMSDs in the past year was investigated using the Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire, and the characteristics of WMSDs were analyzed. Latent class analysis was used to identify the disease pattern of WMSDs. Results The overall prevalence of WMSDs was 94.3%. The top five affected body parts were right shoulder, neck, right hand/wrist, lower back and right forearm/elbow, with the prevalence of 80.3%, 75.4%, 61.1%, 55.5% and 45.3%, respectively. The prevalence of WMSDs was higher on the right side for the shoulder, hand/wrist, forearm/elbow, hip/leg and knee compared with the left side (80.3% vs 31.3%, 61.1% vs 13.9%, 45.3% vs 10.0%, 17.4% vs 8.6%, 13.1% vs 8.4%, all P<0.05). The prevalence of WMSDs increased with work years, as well the prevalence of WMSDs in the top five affected body parts among the sonographers (all P<0.05). However, there were no statistical differences in prevalence of WMSDs between general hospitals and maternal and child health hospitals, tertiary hospitals and non-tertiary hospitals, Pearl River Delta hospitals and non-Pearl River Delta hospitals; there was also no statistical difference between different genders and age groups of the sonographers (all P>0.05). The best-fit latent disease pattern for sonographers WMSDs comprised three categories： symptom of neck-right shoulder, symptom of neck-lower back-right shoulder-right elbow-right hand/wrist, and symptom of multi-parts above the knees, with the latent probabilities of 0.438, 0.427 and 0.135, respectively. Conclusion The prevalence of WMSDs in sonographers is extremely high, with a dose-effect relationship with work years. The most common affected parts are neck, lower back and right shoulder, right hand/wrist, and right forearm/elbow. The prevalence of WMSDs in the right side of limb was higher than that in the left. WMSDs primarily occur in multiple parts simultaneously. The most common symptoms occur in the neck-right shoulder and neck-lower back-right shoulder-right elbow-right hand/wrist.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the expressions of secreted frizzled-related protein 4 (SFRP4) in stage Ⅱ DNA mismatch repair-deficient (dMMR) and mismatch repair- proficient (pMMR) colorectal cancers and explore their clinical significance. METHODS: We collected fresh stage Ⅱ colon cancer tissues with different MMR status detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC). The differentially expressed mRNAs between dMMR and pMMR tumors were identified by Affymetrix Human oeLncRNA gene chip, and the expression of SFRP4 in these cancer tissues and in colorectal cancer cell lines were detected using Western blotting and real- time quantitative PCR. The apoptosis rates of HCT116 cells with and without siRNA- mediated transient SFRP4 knockdown were determined using flow cytometry. We further investigated the expression pattern of Ki-67 and its correlation with SFRP4 expression. RESULTS: Compared with pMMR colon cancer tissues or cells, both dMMR colon cancer tissues (=0.014) and cells (=0.0079) showed significantly increased expression of SFRP4, which was in negative correlation with Ki-67 (=0.041). In HCT116 cells, transient SFRP4 knockdown resulted in decreased cell apoptosis, including both early apoptosis (=0.003) and late apoptosis (=0.024). CONCLUSIONS Up-regulation of SFRP4 in dMMR stage Ⅱ colon cancer promotes apoptosis and inhibits proliferation of the cancer cells, and may improve the prognosis of dMMR colon cancer.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the intervening effects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSCs) for pulmonary fibrosis of rats exposed to silica dust at different stages. METHODS: Specific pathogen free SD rats were randomly divided into model group,2-week group,4-week group and control group with 6 rats in each group(half males and half females). Rats of the first three groups were one-time endotracheally injected with 0. 5 mL aseptic silica suspension at 30 g/L mass concentration. Rats of control group were injected with 0. 5 mL 0. 90% sodium chloride solution. Rats of 2-week group and 4-week group were injected with 0. 5 mL BMMSCs suspension with cell density was 5 × 10~9/L at 2 weeks and 4 weeks respectively after silica dust exposure,while model group and control group were injected with aseptic 0. 90% sodium chloride solution in the same volume. After that all rats were examined by lung computed tomography(CT) scan,pathological sections were observed,lung coefficient were measured,lung tissue hydroxyproline(HYP) content and serum transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1) concentration were investigated at the 12 th week after silica dust exposure. RESULTS: Lung CT image showed clean lung field and clear pulmonary parenchyma in control group.Multiple and diffused high density granular shadows of different size and streak/reticular fiber shadows in model group;diffused distribution of very small granular shadows in 2-week group; granular shadows and local reticular fiber shadows in 4-week group,and either the size or the area of granular shadows was smaller than model group. The lung CT value,lung coefficient,lung tissue HYP content and serum TGF-β1 concentration of model group,2-week group and 4-week group were higher than those of control group(P < 0. 05). The lung CT value,lung tissue HYP content and serum TGF-β1 concentration of control group,2-week group,4-week group and model group were elevated in turn(P < 0. 05),while the lung coefficient of model group and 4-week group was higher than that of 2-week group respectively(P < 0. 05).CONCLUSION: BMMSCs could delay pulmonary fibrosis caused by silica dust,and the protective effect is better at early stage than later stage of fibrosis.

OBJECTIVE: To establish the clinical pathway of occupational medicamentosa-like dermatitis due to trichloroethylene(OMDT).METHODS: OMDT was selected as the clinical disease category.The diagnosis and treatment schemes of OMDT were determined and the clinical pathway was developed on the basis of evidence-based medicine,clinical data analysis,and the expert opinion as well as GBZ 185—2006 Diagnostic Criteria of Occupational Medicamentosa-like Dermatitis due to Trichloroethylene.The initial clinical validation was performed.RESULTS: We formulated the clinical pathway of OMDT for medical staffs,including standard hospitalization procedures(including normative use of glucocorticoids),Clinical Path Form,and Informed Consent for Glucocorticoid Therapy.The Clinical Pathway Notification of OMDT for patients or their family members was established.Based on the initial clinical verifications,the clinical pathway was conducive to optimize the medical process,none of the patients suffered from rebounds and complications,and the awareness of OMDT and satisfaction with treatments were improved.CONCLUSION: The clinical pathway for OMDT is scientific and reasonable,which is suitable for use to regulate medical behaviors.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of using low volume of low concentration isotonic contrast medium for 320 row coronary CT angiography.Methods 64 patients whose heart rate 70 beats per minute or less,normal cardiac rhythm,BMI≤24 kg/m2 were scanned using a 320 row dynamic volume CT with the tube voltage of 100 kVp and injection of contrast medium with a concentration 270 mg I/mL.Prospective ECG gating technique and adaptive iterative dose reduction algorithm reconstruction were used.In group A,22 patients were injected 50 mL contrast medium by a rate of 5.0 mL/s.In group B,21 patients were injected with the dosage of contrast medium calculated by 0.7 mL/kg and injection rate was 4.5 mL/s.In group C,21 patients were injected with the dosage of contrast medium calculated by 0.6 mL/kg and the injection rate was 4.0 mL/s.The attenuation value,signal-to-noise(SNR),con-trast-to-noise ratio(CNR),image quality and iodine intake between three groups were compared using One-Way ANOVA .Results There was no significantly statistical difference of age,sex ratio,BMI,heart rate between the three groups (P >0.05).However,the dosage of the contrast agent and different injection time had statistical significance (P <0.05).The attenuation value from group A to group B and then to group C was on the decline,the CT value of group A was obviously higher than that of group B and group C,and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05),and there was no significantly statistical difference between the group B and group C (P >0.05).The image quality,SNR and CNR in three groups did not have significant difference (P >0.05).The total iodine and iodine injection rate were lowest in group C.Conclusion In 320 row coronary CT angiography with 100 kVp tube voltage and iterative reconstruction algorithm,the patients whose heart rate 70 beats per minute or less,BMI≤24 kg/m2 injected the low concentration of contrast medium by 0.6 mL/kg dose injection can give a good image quality which can meet the diagnostic requirement.Mean-while,it can also reduce the iodine intake and the risk of contrast induced nephrology (CIN).

Objective:To evaluate the effects of chemotherapy on survival of patients with inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:MEDLINE and EMBASE searches were supplemented by information from trial registers. RCT (randomized clinical trial) for chemotherapy of old generation and best supportive care in inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma was selected. Best supportive care may include some non-cytotoxic drug,such as tamoxifen,octreotide and so on. A quantitative meta-analysis using updated information basing on inclusion and exclusion criterion from all available RCT was carried out by two reviewers. The meta-analysis was based on 6 months survival rate and 1 year survival rate. Result:There was no significant improvement for chemotherapy of old generation in 6 months survival rate and 1 year survival rate as compared with best supportive care. Conclusions:There is no convincing evidence that inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma patients will benefit from chemotherapy. A large number of randomized controlled clinical studies should be performed to confirm the efficacy of chemotherapy.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the short-term effect and side effects of ICE regimen treating the patients with relapsed and refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL). MethodsTwenty-five patients with relapsed and refractory NHL were treated with ICE regimen. Treatment was repeated every 3 weeks. ResultsThe total effective rate was 76.0％ for 25 patients,The response rate(PR) was 60.0％. The main side effects were marrow suppression including of leucopenia and thrombocytopenia,no patients dead for toxic reactions of chemotherapy. ConclusionICE regimen was a safe and effective salvage regimen for the patients with relapsed and refractory NHL.

Objective To evaluate effection of Milrinone in patients with pneumocardial disease at acute exacerbation stage .Methods Eighty-three patients were randomly divided into two groups , both in the same conventional therapy , the treatment group received 10mg of Milrinone dissolve in 250ml 5% glu-cose intravenous infusion , 1 second /day, 10 days for a course of treatment .Observation group were treated with 5%glucose infusion 250ml, 1 time /day.The arterial blood gas, echocardiography measurements with mean pulmonary artery pressure , left ventricular ejection fraction and clinical evaluation to improve cardiop-ulmonary function efficiently were compared before and after treatment .Results Arterial blood gas analy-sis, pulmonary artery pressure and left ventricular function were improved and comprehensive evaluation of the efficiency of cardiopulmonary function in treatment group were significantly better than the control group ( Pall<0.05).Conclusion There is satisfactory of Milrinone in acute exacerbation of chronic pulmonary heart disease .
