An 82-year-old male patient with cerebral infarction received an IV infusion of cinepazide maleate 320 mg + 0. 9% sodium chloride injection once daily for 30 consecutive days. The patient' s neutrophil count(NEUT)was 5. 7 × 109 / L before treatments and 2. 4 × 109 / L on day 28 of treatments. An interval of 5 days later,cinepazide maleate was given again at the same dosage. On day 6 of second use of cinepazide maleate,the patient's NEUT decreased to 0. 2 × 109 / L. Cinepazide maleate was stopped and mecobalamin(500 μg,twice daily),folic acid(5 mg,once daily),and leucogen(20 mg,twice daily) were given. Two days later,the patient's NEUT decreased to 0. Recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor 200 μg twice daily was injected subcutaneously. Two days later,the patient' s NEUT increased to 4. 5 × 109 / L. The patient received cinepazide maleate combined with 15 kinds of drugs at the same time because he suffered from several kinds of diseases. During 18 months of follow-up,the patient did not take cinepazide maleate again and most other combination drugs were used continuously and neutropenia did not recur. It was considered that cinepazide maleate induced the patient's acute agranulocytosis.

The concepts of monomer medicine and the Chinese traditional medicine were introduced in this article. The different effects of a monomer drug between different types of syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) were explained based on the author's clinical experience and related literature. The aim, significance and methods about the application of western medical drugs according to the theory of TCM were pointed out. And the feasibility of the application was analyzed.

Enlightened by the idea of correlation of mind and body in traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, integrating his long-term clinical experience, the author brings forward a concise and practical theory for diagnosis and treatment based on the correlation between consciousness and organ in this article. This article includes:(1)introducing the conceptions of consciousness and organ;(2) pointing out the diagnostic and remedial meaning of the four kinds of condition about the correlation of sense and organ;(3) pointing out the diagnostic and remedial meaning of the five kinds of condition about the correlation of desire and organ;(4) how to select herbal and mineral drug to treat the disorders of consciousness and organ;(5) citing some examples to prove the diagnostic and remedial effect of the theory on intractable diseases.

The 34 cases in the treatment group were treated with allicin injection through Murphy drip for a course of 10 days with nitroglycerin group as control. Results demonstrated that the total effective rate for symptoms and ECG were 82% and 62% respectively for the treatment group. It also markedly lowered the level of plasmal endothelin, and that of blood sugar in diabetics'. Adverst effects included local pain at the injection site and headache, the incidence of which were 18% and 6% respectively. This therapy is a satisfactory one for stubborn angina pectors.
