Objective:To investigate the clinical application effect of Zishen Yutai Pill in patients with repeated implantation failure (RIF) undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles. Methods:A retrospective case-control study was conducted, selecting 744 cycles of patients with RIF at the Department of Female Reproductive Medicine,State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health, Center for Reproductive Medicine, Institute of Women, Children and Reproductive Health, Shandong University from October 2017 to April 2023. The patients were divided into experimental group (treated with Zishen Yutai Pill, n=279) and control group (treated without Zishen Yutai Pill, n=465) based on whether Zishen Yutai Pill was added to luteal support. The pregnancy outcomes between the two groups were compared. Based on the different endometrial preparation protocols in the FET cycles, the patients were used down-regulation protocol ( n=271) or non-down-regulation protocol ( n=473). The pregnancy outcomes of the two groups in each protocol were compared. Results:There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of biochemical pregnancy rate, clinical pregnancy rate, embryo implantation rate, early miscarriage rate, late miscarriage rate, and live birth rate (all P>0.05). However, the biochemical pregnancy rate [69.0% (58/84)], clinical pregnancy rate [59.5% (50/84)], and embryo implantation rate [59.4% (57/96)] in the experimental group of the down-regulated protocol were significantly higher than those in control group [56.1% (105/187), P=0.045; 46.5% (87/187), P=0.048; 44.9% (92/205), P=0.019], with statistically significant differences. In the non-down-regulated protocol, there were no statistically significant differences in pregnancy outcomes between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion:In the FET down-regulated protocol, Zishen Yutai Pill can significantly improve the clinical pregnancy rate and the embryo implantation rate in patients with RIF, thereby improving pregnancy outcomes.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2024;43(3):378-383
Objective:To investigate the relationship between oral health and mild cognitive impairment(MCI)by using indicators that evaluate oral hypofunction. Methods:The study was conducted using a cross-sectional design.Participants were recruited from three communities(Shizi Ling, Wenyi Xincun, and Yaoling in Furong District)in Changsha in July 2021, using convenience sampling.Cognitive and oral functions were evaluated using the simple mental state examination, version 2(MMSE-2)and seven indicators of oral hypofunction, which included oral hygiene, oral dryness, occlusal force, tongue and lip movement, tongue pressure, mastication, and swallowing function. Results:A total of 144 subjects were included in this study, with 72 males.Except for education level, there were no statistically significant differences between the MCI group and the normal cognitive group in terms of demographic information and self-reported and measured oral functions(all P>0.05).There was a correlation between the subjects' self-reported oral function and the actual measured oral function.Multiple linear regression analysis revealed no significant correlation between the MMSE score and the seven indicators used to measure oral hypofunction(all P>0.05).The MMSE score of the female group showed a negative correlation with mastication( β=-0.003, P=0.043), while the MMSE score of subjects with elementary school education also showed a negative correlation with mastication( β=-0.022, P=0.016).Additionally, the MMSE score of subjects with middle school education showed a positive correlation with the number of residual teeth( β=0.090, P=0.030). Conclusions:The self-reported oral function can serve as an initial assessment of overall oral function. However, among elderly individuals who do not show significant decline in oral function, there was no significant correlation between oral function and MCI.To accurately identify individuals with MCI, a more detailed sub-analysis with a larger sample size is required.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2024;40(11):846-852
Objective:To study and analyze the status quo and influencing factors of breast cancer patients′ concern about the upbringing of their minor children, and to provide a reference for clinical improvement of the level of breast cancer patients′ concern about parenting. Methods:A total of 247 breast cancer patients in the daytime ward of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital from March to May 2023 were selected by convenience sampling. The General Information Questionnaire, Parenting Concerns Questionnaire, Parenting Sense of Competence Scale were selected for cross-sectional investigation. The multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of breast cancer patients′ worries about the upbringing of their minor children. Results:Finally, 240 valid questionnaires were ultimately collected. There were 12 patients with breast cancer aged 20-29 years old, 76 patients aged 30-39 years old, 117 patients aged 40-49 years old, and 35 patients aged ≥50 years old. The total score of breast cancer patients′anxiety about minor children′s rearing was (37.34 ± 2.56) points. The scores of each dimension were in order of (15.14 ± 1.02) worry about the actual impact on children, (11.15 ± 0.83) worry about the emotional impact on children, and (11.05 ± 0.71) worry about the parents of children. The total score of parenting competence (66.54 ± 11.68) points. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that parenting competence, educational level, number of underage children, per capita monthly income of families, and TNM stage (T: tumor primary lesion; N: regional lymphnode involvement; M: remote metastasis situation) affected parenting anxiety ( t values were -15.24-8.56, all P<0.05), which could explain 81.2% of the total variation in parenting anxiety level. Conclusions:Breast cancer patients′ concern about the upbringing of minor children is at a medium level, so medical staff should give relevant intervention measures to breast cancer patients with different characteristics, in order to provide reference for reducing the level of concern about the upbringing of minor children.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2023;31(3):186-191
Objective :
To explore the prognostic value of chemoradiotherapy based on the depth of invasion (DOI) in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma.
Methods :
Patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma who received surgical treatment in a hospital from 2008 to 2016 were enrolled. The chi-square test was used to compare the effects of DOI on postoperative cervical lymph node metastasis and local recurrence. The effects of chemoradiotherapy on postoperative cervical lymph node metastasis, local recurrence, and survival were analyzed based on the DOI.
Results:
A total of 111 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma were included in this study. The postoperative local recurrence rate (P<0.05) and cervical lymph node metastasis rate (P<0.05) of patients with 5 mm < DOI ≤ 10 mm and DOI > 10 mm were significantly higher than those with DOI ≤ 5 mm. The time of postoperative recurrence was concentrated within two years after the operation. The greater the DOI was, the shorter the time to postoperative recurrence (P<0.05). The addition of postoperative chemoradiotherapy did not significantly improve the postoperative local recurrence rate, cervical lymph node metastasis or survival rate of patients with different DOIs (P > 0.05).
Conclusion
DOI has important predictive value for postoperative recurrence, cervical lymph node metastasis and survival rate. However, DOI cannot be used as an independent index to guide whether chemoradiotherapy is needed after oral cancer surgery.

Chinese Journal of Neuromedicine 2023;22(9):891-898
Objective:To explore the risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with tuberculous meningitis (TBM), and establish their nomogram predictive models. Methods:Three hundred and fifty-eight patients with TBM, admitted to Department of Neurology, 940 th Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army Joint Logistic Support Force from January 2010 to February 2022, were chosen and divided into model group ( n=287) and validation group ( n=71) according to the simple random sampling at a ratio of 8:2. Their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Independent risk factors for poor prognosis of TBM were analyzed by least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and Logistic regression, and the risk factors were visualized by nomogram. Bootstrap method was used for 1 000 repeated samples for internal verification, and data from validation group were used for external verification. The discrimination and calibration of the models were evaluated by area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration curve and Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness of fit test. Results:Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that mental symptoms ( OR=3.593, 95% CI: 1.790-7.211, P<0.001), limb weakness ( OR=3.087, 95% CI: 1.551-6.144, P=0.001), pulmonary infection ( OR=5.162, 95% CI: 2.373-11.227, P<0.001), improved British Medical Research Council (mBMRC) staging II ( OR=4.291, 95% CI: 2.037-9.039, P<0.001), mBMRC staging III ( OR=13.073, 95% CI: 3.352-50.975, P<0.001) were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in TBM patients. Consistency indexes indicated by area under ROC curves by internal verification and external verification were 0.880 and 0.823, respectively; the calibration curve coincided with the ideal curve, enjoying good Hosmer-Lemeshow fit ( P=0.546, P=0.401). Conclusion:Based on these 4 prognostic factors (mental symptoms, limb weakness, lung infection and mBMRC stages), the nomogram is helpful in predicting the risk of poor prognosis in TBM patients.

Objective:To investigate the status of height and weight of 3-18-year-old children and adolescents in urban China, and to provide a basis for establishing puberty phase specific curves for age-specific height and age-specific weight. Methods:A cross-sectional survey of 218 185 children and adolescents aged 3-18 years in urban China was conducted by using the method of stratified random cluster sampling from January 2017 to December 2019. The sampling areas included 12 provinces municipalities in China and autonomous regions in total. Data were collected on weight, height, waist circumference, hip circumference and secondary sexual characteristics. The generalized additive model for location, scale, and shape (GAMLSS) was employed to establish percentile reference values and growth curves of height and weight for boys and girls aged 3-18 years. Wilcoxon rank sum test was applied to compare the P 50 value of height and weight between children of each Tanner stage and children of the same age ignoring the different puberty phase. Results:The 3rd, 50th, and 97th percentile curves for height and weight for age were developed for boys and girls aged 3-18 years. The 3rd, 50th, and 97th percentile curves for age-specific height and age-specific weight for each puberty phase were developed for boys and girls. Compared with all children ignoring the different puberty phase, boys aged 9 and over and girls aged 7 and over who are at Tanner stage 1 showed shorter height and lighter weight than those of the same age group (all P<0.01), the difference ranges of height at P 50 are -4.0 to -0.6 cm for boys, and -4.4 to 0.5 cm for girls; the difference ranges of weight are -4.8 to 0.4 kg for boys, and -4.0 to -0.3 kg for girls; children at Tanner stage 2 & 3 initially were taller and heavier than those of the same age group; and later grew shorter and lighter than those of the same age group, the two sets of curves cross over; boys aged 16 and under and girl aged under 14 who are at Tanner stage 4 were taller and heavier than those of the same age group (all P<0.01), the difference ranges of height at P 50 are 0.2 to 10.0 cm for boys, and 0.2 to 9.4 cm for girls; the difference ranges of weight at P 50 are 0.7 to 10.9 kg for boys, and 1.0 to 11.2 kg for girls, and the differences showed narrowing trend with age. Conclusion:The puberty phase specific growth curves of age-specific height and age-specific weight for boys and girls aged 3-18 years are established, it is useful for clinical work to evaluate physical development of children at different puberty phases.
