Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(4):548-552
Objective:
To explore the relationship of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy with short video addiction among college students, so as to provide reference for alleviating social anxiety, improving the level of emotion regulation and preventing short video addiction.
Methods:
From May to June 2024, 2 172 college students from a university in Guangzhou were selected by multistage random cluster sampling method. The Interaction Anxiousness Scale, Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and Short Video Addiction Scale were used as the measurement tools. The potential profile was used to analyze the potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy. The Chi square test was used to analyze the characteristics of the distribution of potential profile categories of college students with different demographic characteristics. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between social anxiety, emotion regulation strategy and short video addiction.
Results:
The potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy in college students were divided into adaptive regulation type (784 cases, 36.10 %), low anxiety-expression type (623 cases, 28.68%), inhibition-anxiety type (478 cases, 22.01%), high anxiety-disorder type (287 cases, 13.21%). There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of various potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy among cadres of different gender, family residence, class cadres or not ( χ 2=42.55, 17.86 , 39.05, all P <0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that after controlling the confounding factors such as demographic variables, the potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy of college students (low anxiety-expression type, inhibition-anxiety type, high anxiety-disorder type) were the important related factors of short video addiction ( β =0.15,0.25,0.35, all P <0.05).
Conclusions
Social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy of college students exhibit distinct categorical characteristics, and its varying latent categories are associated with short video addiction. Schools should implement targeted intervention measures for different categories of college students to promote their comprehensive mental health development.

OBJECTIVE:
To observe the clinical efficacy of auricular electroacupuncture for post-stroke dysphagia in the pharyngeal phase.
METHODS:
Eighty-two patients with post-stroke dysphagia in the pharyngeal phase were randomized into an auricular electroacupuncture group (41 cases) and a swallowing electrical stimulation group (41 cases, 1 case dropped out). In the auricular electroacupuncture group, electroacupuncture was applied at auricular points, i.e. Xin (CO15) and Yanhou (TG3), using disperse-dense wave, in frequency of 2 Hz/10 Hz, 30 min a time. In the swallowing electrical stimulation group, swallowing electrical stimulation was delivered for 30 min a time. Both groups were treated once daily for 4 weeks. The functional oral intake scale (FOIS) grade, as well as the hyolaryngeal complex displacement, the pharyngeal constriction rate (PCR) and the pharyngeal delay time (PDT) under video fluoroscopic study of swallowing (VFSS) were observed before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated in the two groups.
RESULTS:
Compared before treatment, the FOIS grade was improved (P<0.01), the forward and upward displacement amplitude of hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage was increased (P<0.05), and the PCR and PDT were decreased (P<0.05) after treatment in the two groups. After treatment, compared with the swallowing electrical stimulation group, the FOIS grade was superior (P<0.01), the upward displacement amplitude of hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage was larger (P<0.05) and the PCR and PDT were lower (P<0.05) in the auricular electroacupuncture group. The total effective rate was 85.4% (35/41) in the auricular electroacupuncture group, which was higher than 62.5% (25/40) in the swallowing electrical stimulation group (P<0.05).
CONCLUSION
Auricular electroacupuncture can effectively trigger pharyngeal initiation and improve post-stroke dysphagia in the pharyngeal phase.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2025;41(6):553-559
Subclinical ptosis is a common congenital abnormality of bilateral upper eyelid development; the clinical manifestations are upper eyelid skin covering the upper corneal margin of more than 2 mm, upper eyelid bloat, narrow lid fissure, often accompanied by epicanthus and eyebrow elevation when the eyes are opened. Patients often present with a single eyelid, which can be easily missed and misdiagnosed. The cause of subclinical ptosis is an increase in the afterload of the levator muscle during contraction due to a variety of reasons, such as gravitational, volumetric, and tensile loads; the clinical manifestations and the normalisation of the levator muscle strength are the main basis for diagnosis and identification of true ptosis. Depending on the type of afterload, different surgical treatments are available, such as blepharoplasty, orbicularis oculi myotomy, upper eyelid tissue reduction, fibrous mesh band release, anterior displacement of the levator complex, and shortening of the levator complex.

Nonunion of osteoporotic vertebral fractures (OVF), predominantly affecting the elderly, can lead to intractable pain, vertebral collapse, progressive kyphotic deformity, and neurological impairment, significantly compromising patients′ quality of life. There exists considerable debate on diagnosis and management of OVF, encompassing key issues such as clinical diagnosis and staging criteria for nonunion, surgical indications and procedure selection, and postoperative rehabilitation planning. Currently, there lacks standardized clinical guideline and expert consensus on the diagnosis and management of OVF nonunion in China. To address this gap, Minimally Invasive Surgery Group of Chinese Orthopedic Association, Osteoporosis Committee of Chinese Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, Prevention and Rehabilitation Committee for Osteoporosis of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery Branch of China Association for Geriatric Care jointly organized domestic experts in spinal surgery, endocrinology, and rehabilitation to formulate the Clinical guideline for the diagnosis and treatment for nonunion of osteoporotic vertebral fractures ( version 2025), based on existing literature and clinical experience and adhering to principles of scientific rigor and practicality. The guideline provided 13 evidence-based recommendations encompassing diagnosis and treatment of OVF nonunion, aiming to standardize its clinical management.

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of one-hole split endoscope (OSE) minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of single-segment thoracic ossification of the ligamentum flavum (TOLF).Methods:This retrospective non-randomized controlled study included 41 patients with single-segment TOLF who underwent surgery at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University between July 2019 and July 2023. Patients were divided into two groups: the OSE group (19 cases) treated with one-hole split endoscope minimally invasive surgery and the open group (22 cases) treated with traditional laminectomy and pedicle screw fixation. There were no significant differences between the two groups on gender, age, disease duration, affected segment, presence or absence of dural ossification, and residual cross-sectional vertebral canal area on CT ( P>0.05). Additionally, perioperative surgical time, estimated blood loss (EBL), incision length, hospital stay duration, hospitalization costs and follow-up duration were compared. The Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were compared preoperatively and at the last follow-up. Complications were also recorded. Results:All patients successfully completed the surgery with no significant differences at the last follow-up ( P>0.05). Compared with the open group, the OSE group had a significantly shorter operative time (133.1±16.8 vs. 160.5±22.6 min), lower EBL (91.2±15.0 vs. 192.5±43.8 ml), shorter incision length (2.6±0.5 vs. 7.9±1.9 cm), reduced hospital stay (3.9±0.8 vs. 5.6±0.8 days), and lower hospitalization costs (34,874.9±4,568.6 vs. 53,162.3±9,815.6 yuan) (all P<0.05). AAt the final follow-up, JOA scores (8.5±0.8 vs. 8.6±1.2) and ODI values (16.7%±2.1% vs. 17.7%±4.4%) showed no significant differences between the OSE and open groups ( P>0.05). During the perioperative period and follow-up, complications occurred in 2 patients in the OSE group (1 cerebrospinal fluid leak, 1 poor wound healing) and in 8 patients in the open group (5 cerebrospinal fluid leaks, 1 neurological deterioration, 2 poor wound healing). Conclusion:OSE minimally invasive surgery is an effective treatment for single-segment thoracic ossification of the ligamentum flavum. Compared with open surgery, it provides advantages such as minimal invasiveness and fewer complications.

Objective:To establish a dose-response curve of dicentric chromosomes and centromeric rings (dic+ r) in γ-ray irradiation-induced chromosomal aberrations in human peripheral blood lymphocytes through automated analysis. Methods:Peripheral blood samples from three healthy donors were irradiated in vitro at doses of 0, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Gy and a dose rate of 0.80 Gy/min using a 137Cs γ-ray source. Post-irradiation, lymphocytes were cultured based on standard protocols, harvested using an automatic cell harvester, and prepared on slides using an automatic slide preparation system. dic+ r were analyzed fully automatically using the DCScore software, and a dose-response curve of dic+ r was established through fitting and then validated using the CABAS software. Results:The dose-response curve followed a linear-quadratic model, i. e., y = 0.093 65+ 0.030 21 D+ 0.025 31 D2 ( R2 = 0.999 2), where y was the quantity of dic+ r and D was the absorbed dose of γ-ray irradiation (Gy). Doses to samples for blind validation were estimated using this curve, yielding deviations of less than 24% from the actual irradiation doses. Conclusions:The fully automated analysis of dic+ r in 137Cs γ-ray irradiation-induced chromosomal aberrations, followed by the construction of the dose-response curve, holds significant potential for rapid, high-throughput biodosimetry in large-scale nuclear emergencies.

To evaluate the feasibility and safety of dilation treatment under the guidance of precise puncture assisted with double endoscopes for anastomotic atresia after colorectal cancer surgery, 3 cases with anastomotic atresia after colorectal cancer surgery were treated precisely under endoscopy. The first colonoscopy was introduced through the terminal ileum stoma to anastomotic site, another endoscope was inserted through the anus to the anastomosis. Precise puncture of the contralateral intestinal cavity was done through light source positioning. The puncture needle was seen under the direct vision of endoscope, and then the guide wire was inserted. Anastomosis was dilated by the balloon through the guide wire. Endoscopic recanalization of anastomotic atresia was successfully completed in 3 patients. No complication occurred during the treatment with the mean operation time of 44.3 minutes. The ileal terminal stoma reduction surgery was performed 1-3 months after endoscopic treatment. Dilation treatment under the guidance of precise puncture assisted with double endoscopes for anastomotic atresia after colorectal cancer surgery is reliable with the advantages of short operation time, safety and convenience, and no need for X-ray assistance.
