Objective: To compare the consistency between bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) and dual energy X ray absorptiometry (DXA) in measuring body composition among Tibetan children and adolescents and to explore the applicability of BIA in plateau region, so as to provide scientific and convenient body composition measurement support among children and adolescents. Methods: From May to June, 2022, a total of 344 Tibetan children and adolescents aged 6-17 years were selected from Golmud Municipal National Middle School and Changjiangyuan Nationality Primary School in Qinghai Province by cluster sampling method, and their fat mass, fat mass percentage and lean mass were measured by DXA and BIA. The consistency and correlation between the two methods were assessed by using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test, Spearman correlation analysis, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), and Bland-Altman analysis. Results: DXA measured fat mass and fat mass percentage were significantly higher than those obtained by BIA (6-12 years old: Z =9.91, 11.28; 13-17 years old: Z =9.02, 10.21), while lean mass and lean mass percentage were significantly lower than BIA results (6-12 years old: Z =-11.60, -11.30; 13-17 years old: Z =-10.77, -10.36) (all P < 0.05 ). The two methods showed strong correlations in fat mass and lean mass (all r >0.80, all ICC >0.90), but exhibited poor agreement in fat mass percentage and lean mass percentage (6-12 years old: Lin s CCC =0.64, 0.41; 13-17 years old: Lin s CCC = 0.79 , 0.35). Bland-Altman analysis showed that the difference between the two methods was negatively correlated with the average value in FM%(6-12 years old: r =-0.75, 13-17 years old: r =-0.79, both P <0.01). Conclusion BIA and DXA show high consistency in measuring body fat mass and lean body mass in Tibetan children and adolescents, although some bias is still present in certain individuals.

Objective:To explore the benefits of transradial diagnostic cerebral angiography in elderly patients and its correlation with morphometric parameters of the aortic arch.Methods:Clinical data and aortic arch CTA imaging parameters of patients who underwent cerebral angiography at the Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Hospital, between May 2022 and April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The study aimed to compare the time taken for angiography via radial artery access in elderly patients versus younger patients, as well as via femoral artery access, and to evaluate the associated aortic arch morphology parameters.Results:A total of 101 patients' data were analyzed, with 67 males(66.3%)and an average age of 63.4±12.0 years.Among them, 69 patients(68.3%)were aged 60 and above.The arterial approach for 44 patients(43.6%)was radial, while 57 cases(56.4%)used the femoral artery approach.In the elderly group, 14 cases(20.6%), 31 cases(45.6%), and 23 cases(33.8%)had type Ⅲ aortic arch, respectively.For younger patients, 17 cases(53.1%), 12 cases(37.5%), and 3 cases(9.4%)fell into these categories.The distribution difference was statistically significant( χ2=12.765, P=0.002).Elderly patients had a larger aortic arch width angle compared to younger patients(106°±12°and 100°±12°, t=2.334, P=0.022).The time for whole-brain angiography via radial artery was shorter for elderly patients than via femoral artery(39.8±29.5 minutes and 52.2±28.4 minutes, respectively, t=1.845, P=0.070).In young patients, there was no significant time difference between the two approaches(42.3±30.4 minutes for radial artery and 34.6±11.2 minutes for femoral artery, t=1.026, P=0.313).In the type Ⅱ aortic arch group, the average times for transradial and transfemoral approaches were 38.1±21.7 minutes and 46.7±32.2 minutes, respectively( t=1.020, P=0.314).The average times for the type Ⅲ aortic arch group were 41.9±37.3 minutes and 48.9±20.7 minutes, respectively.Correlation analysis revealed a significant negative correlation between the duration of radial artery access and the distance from the origin of the innominate artery to the left subclavian artery(Pearson correlation coefficien( r=-0.372, P=0.014). Conclusions:In elderly patients, particularly those with type Ⅱ or Ⅲ aortic arch or a wide aortic arch, diagnostic cerebral angiography using transradial access is preferable to femoral access.The distance between the innominate artery and the left subclavian artery origin could impact the duration of the procedure.

Objectives:To explore obesity prevalence and its association with dietary patterns among Tibetan pastoralists during the urbanization transition in Qinghai Province.Methods:Using an open cohort study design, 1 003 subjects were enrolled at baseline in 2018, 599 were followed up, and 1 012 were newly recruited in 2022. A total of 1 913 adults over 18 years were included in the study, and a questionnaire survey and health examination were conducted. Factor analysis was used to identify dietary patterns, and a mixed-effects model was used to analyze the association between dietary patterns and obesity.Results:From 2018 to 2022, the prevalence rates of overweight, obesity, and central obesity were 27.6%, 33.8%, and 54.6%, respectively. Age-sex-standardized prevalence of obesity and central obesity increased. Three dietary patterns were identified: the modern pattern was characterized by frequent consumption of pork, poultry, processed meat, fresh fruits, sugary drinks, salty snacks, etcetera; the urban pattern was characterized by frequent consumption of refined carbohydrates, beef and mutton, vegetables and eggs, etcetera; and pastoral pattern featured frequent consumption of tsamba, Tibetan cheese, buttered/milk tea, and whole-fat dairy products. After adjusting for demographic characteristics, socioeconomic status, and lifestyle factors, compared with the T1, subjects in the T3 of urban pattern scores were more likely to be overweight ( OR=2.09, 95% CI: 1.10-3.95) and overweight/obese ( OR=1.23, 95% CI: 1.00-1.51), whereas those in the T3 of pastoral pattern scores had a lower risk of overweight ( OR=0.45, 95% CI: 0.24-0.84), obesity ( OR=0.81, 95% CI: 0.69-0.95), overweight/obesity ( OR=0.75, 95% CI: 0.61-0.91) and central obesity ( OR=0.58, 95% CI: 0.38-0.89). Conclusions:Prevalence of obesity and central obesity was high among Tibetan pastoralists during the urbanization transition. Urban dietary pattern was a risk factor for overweight and overweight/obesity, whereas pastoral dietary pattern was a protective factor for overweight, obesity, overweight/obesity, and central obesity. Tailored interventions are needed to improve local people's health.

Methods: 439 female BC patients were recruited and treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy of TA regimen. A blood sample (2 ml) of peripheral blood was collected from each patient before chemotherapy. Tagging SNPs (tag-SNPs) were selected. We investigated the association of tag-SNPs with prognosis, by Sequenom Mass ARRAY system platform, characterizing tag-SNPs. The hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for progression or death were calculated by multivariable-adjusted Cox regression model. Results: Seven tag-SNPs (rs11045689, rs200104106, rs3764006, rs3834935, rs4149117, rs7305323 and rs73241801) were selected for study. Compared with individuals carrying the rs11045689 GG genotype, individuals carrying rs11045689 AA genotype performed worse PFS and OS, with the HR (95% CI) for progression being 1.39 (1.11~1.75) and the HR (95% CI) for death being 1.38 (1.04~1.83). Compared with individuals carrying the rs73241801 CC genotype, individuals carrying rs73241801 TT genotype performed better OS (P=0.041), with the HR (95% CI) for death being 0.65 (0.44~0.94). The number of risk allele was significantly associated with PFS (P=0.012) and OS (P=0.017) of BC patients by accumulation analysis. Compared with individuals carrying one or less than one risk allele, individuals carrying four risk alleles performed worse PFS and OS, with the HR (95% CI) for progression being 1.37 (1.09~1.72) and the HR (95% CI) for death being 1.36 (1.02~1.81). Conclusion The variations of rs11045689 and rs73241801 in SLCO1B3 gene were significantly associated with prognosis of BC patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy of TA regimen, which might serve as biomarkers for predicting prognosis of BC patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

This paper was aimed to study the safety of moxibustion with FMEA method.Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) were used in every aspect of the operation process of moxibustion.And the local skin temperature was measured in 80 patients treated with moxa box moxibustion.The results showed that the skin temperature reached the highest when the moxibustion was given for 15 min,which was in consistence with the patients' chief complaints and their tolerances.It indicated that moxibustion for 15 min was the best moxibustion amount.Meanwhile,inspection should be made to avoid burning.After the application of FMEA,the RPN of the inspection activities,the temperature and distance of moxibustion were significantly decreased (P ＜ 0.05).It was concluded that the application of FMEA management mode strengthened the risk management of moxibustion treatment,standardized treatment process,provided the basis for the temperature and distance of moxibustion,and ensured the safety and efficacy of treatment.

Objective To evaluate the agreement of bispectral index values recorded from tumor side and the contralateral areas during supratentorial craniotomy.Methods Thirty-five patients (16 males, 19 females, aged 18-65 years, ASA physical status Ⅱ or Ⅲ) scheduled for supratentorial tumor resection were enrolled in this study.Bispectral index (BIS) sensors were placed at bilateral frontal areas.The patients were anesthetized with propofol.From each BIS monitor, we collected data at each of four time stages: before the induction of anesthesia, before dura opening, removal of tumor and recovery of conscious.These data were compared using Bland-Altman analysis.Results Bland and Altman analysis revealed a BIS negative-bias (limits of agreement) of before induction-0.8(-7.2-5.7), before dura opening 0.6 (-8.3-9.5), and removal of tumor 1.5(-6.9-9.9), recovery of conscious 0.2 (-9.3-9.8).Conclusion There are significant agreement for BIS values between the frontal area of tumor side and the contralateral areas.BIS values can be used interchangeably between bilateral frontal.

Objective To observe the pathologic changes of corneal lesions in rabbits induced by mustard gas and changes of lymphocytes in the pathologic development so as to discuss the role of lymphocytes in the pathogenic process.Methods Thirty-five New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into experiment group and control group according to the random number table.In experiment group,rabbits were exposed to 0.2 ml of mustard gas liquid (400 μl/L) for a period of 4 minutes and were divided into 6 subgroups at 15 min,2 h,1 w,3 w,4 w,and 8 w after injury.Corneal tissue from each group was collected to detect changes of lymphocytes with aid of HE and immunohistochemical stainings.Results In experiment group,corneal epithelium was dropped totally,basement membrane was exposed,swelling was thickened,matrix layer was loosened and swelled,and collagen fibre was ranged loosely at 15 minutes and two hours ; corneal epithelium appeared multi-layer hyperplastic change in acute restoration period at 1 week; basal corneal epithelium cells appeared irregular column arrangement in chronic inflammation period at 3 and 4 weeks; around 10％ of toxic corneas had delayed reaction with partial corneal epithelium resloughed,fundus membrane appeared,edema thickened,and stroma collagens loosened and swelled at eight weeks.Immunohistochemical Envision staining showed positive expression of plymphomonocytes (CD20,CD45RO,and LCA) inside matrix layer at corneoscleral junction.Conclusions Ocular exposure to 400 μ/L mustard gas for a period of four minutes leads to direct and delayed lesions to cornea,which presents at one week and eight weeks respectively.The lymphocyte-mediated cellular and humoral immunity responses may be involved in the pathogenic process.
