Objective To investigate the effect of ankle pump exercises, based on hemodynamic mechanisms,on the prevention of venous thrombosis in stroke patients. Methods A total of 110 stroke patients, admitted to a tertiary A hospital in Jiangsu Province between June 2023 and June 2024,were selected using a convenience sampling method. The patients were divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 55 patients in each group. The experimental group received ankle pump exercise nursing interventions based on hemodynamic mechanisms, while the control group received routine nursing interventions. The incidence of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis,Pittsburgh Rehabilitation Participation Scale scores, subjective perceived fatigue, and exercise self-efficacy scores were compared between 2 groups on the 7th day of hospitalization. Results No dropouts occurred in either group. The incidence of deep vein thrombosis was significantly lower in the experimental group than it in the control group(P=0.004).The Pittsburgh Rehabilitation Participation scores on day 1,3,5,and 7 were higher in the experimental group compared to them in the control group(P<0.001).A significant time-dependent trend was observed in Pittsburgh Rehabilitation Participation scores(P=0.034).Subjective fatigue was significantly lower in the experimental group at various time points(P<0.001).Both groups showed an increase in exercise self-efficacy over time(P=0.016),with the experimental group demonstrating higher exercise self-efficacy than the control group on the day before discharge(P=0.003).Conclusion Ankle pump exercises, based on hemodynamic mechanisms, can effectively reduce the incidence of deep vein thrombosis in stroke patients, enhance rehabilitation participation and exercise self-efficacy,without increasing subjective fatigue.

Objective To explore the characteristics of latent profiles of ego depletion in patients with heart failure, and analyze the impacts of these profiles on patients' self-management behavior. Methods 280 heart failure patients who were hospitalized in a tertiary grade A hospital were conveniently selected in Nanjing from April to October 2024 as study subjects. The investigation utilized a general information questionnaire, the Ego-Depletion Scale for Heart Failure Patients, the Self-Management Scale of Heart Failure Patients, and the Chronic Disease Self-Efficacy Scale. The latent profile categories of ego depletion was explored in heart failure patients.Univariate analysis and multiple Logistic regression analysis were used to investigate the influencing factors of different latent profile categories and the impact of each category on patients' self-management levels. Results The ego depletion of 255 heart failure patients could be classified into 3 latent profiles:self-adaptive low depletion group(35.29%),symptom distressed moderate depletion group(43.53%),and social life change high depletion group(21.18%).Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that residence, primary caregiver, education level,New York Heart Association cardiac function grade, and self-efficacy score were factors influencing the potential profile of ego depletion in heart failure patients(P<0.05).The comparison of self-management scores among patients in different latent profiles of ego depletion showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The level of ego depletion in patients with heart failure is high with significant heterogeneity.Medical staff should pay attention to the heterogeneity and influencing factors of ego depletion in patients with heart failure in time, and develop personalized comprehensive intervention strategies to alleviate ego depletion and improve their self-management levels.

Objective To assess the medical cost consciousness status among catheterization lab nurses in grade-Ⅲ general hospitals where the diagnosis-related group(DRG)payment method has been implemented, and to explore its influencing factors. Methods By using the general data questionnaire form, the medical cost consciousness scale of medical staff and the Chinese version of the safety attitude scale,a total of 251 nurses working in the interventional catheterization room from 39 grade-Ⅲ general hospitals(being member unit of China Cardiovascular Health Alliance and being distributed in 13 provinces and cities)were surveyed. Results The total score of medical cost consciousness in nurses working in interventional catheterization room was(49.11±6.80)points.A positive correlation existed between the medical cost consciousness of nurses working in interventional catheterization room and the patient safety attitudes(P<0.01).Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that team collaboration, job satisfaction, stress perception, management mode of medical consumables, and cost-effectiveness training were the main factors influencing cost awareness. Conclusion The interventional catheterization room nurses have a good consciousness of medical costs, but their actual participation degree is insufficient.Under the regulation of DRG payment method the hospital administration and nursing care managers should take targeted measures to enhance the efficiency of catheter room cost management.

Mechanical thrombectomy has established efficacy in treating acute ischemic stroke caused by large vessel occlusion. However, for acute ischemic stroke associated with distal medium vessel occlusion(MeVO),endovascular recanalization remains challenging due to small vessel diameter, tortuous anatomy, and limited distal perfusion territory. As there is insufficient evidence to support application of mechanical thrombectomy for distal MeVO,it is not currently established as a standard indication for endovascular therapy. With advancements in the miniaturization and navigability of interventional devices, distal MeVO is gradually emerging as a potential target for mechanical thrombectomy.Nevertheless, occlusion of perforating arteries remains unsuitable for this technique due to their excessively small vessel caliber. This article reviewed the anatomical features and classification, imaging diagnosis, relevant clinical research, and novel materials and technologies pertaining to distal MeVO,aiming to provide reference for recanalization strategies in patients with this condition.

Perception of recurrence risk in cardiovascular disease (CVD) patients plays a significant role in aspects such as their quality of life and treatment adherence. This paper reviews the theoretical foundations of recurrence risk perception, the conceptual origins and developmental process, measurement tools, influencing factors of recurrence risk perception in CVD patients, and research progress of recurrence risk perception in CVD management. The aim is to provide a basis for developing scientifically effective intervention measures for CVD patients in the future.

With the continuous rise in the incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and the prolongation of life expectancy of patients living with the disease, improving the quality of life of patients has become an important management goal. Sexual life, as a basic physiological need in human survival, is also a key component of the quality of life for CVD patients. However, due to the impact of the disease, sexual health issues are common among CVD patients and have adverse effects on their quality of life, mental health, and marital relationships, which should be addressed promptly. This article reviews the definitions related to sexual health, the current research on sexual health in CVD patients, research tools related to sexual health, influencing factors of sexual health in CVD patients, and sexual health interventions, aiming to provide a reference for clinical research in this area.
