Transmissible gastroenteritis(TGE)is a highly contagious gastrointestinal disease of pigs caused by the transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV).It results in severe diarrhea and high mortality in suckling piglets.As no specific treatment available,vaccination is considered to be one of the most cost-effective measures for preventing and controlling TGE.However,the immune protection provided by vaccines based on traditional TGEV strains is becoming inadequate due to the continuous emergence of strong and new strains of the virus,which poses a serious threat to the pig industry's health and development.Therefore,the development of new vaccines with im-proved efficiency and broad-spectrum coverage is urgently needed.This paper aims to summarize the pathogenic structural characteristics of TGEV,discuss the latest advancements in TGEV vac-cine research and development,and propose future strategies for the development of highly effec-tive TGEV vaccines.The findings of this paper can serve as a valuable reference for effectively pre-venting and controlling TGE in clinical practice.

The postoperative symptom burden in patients with lung cancer is severe and adversely impairs their quality of life. Symptom management is the cornerstone of medical care. Patient-reported outcome (PRO)-based symptom management is being increasingly recognized as the best "patient-centered care" model in clinical practice. However, the precise implementation of this model in patients undergoing lung cancer surgery is hindered by the lack of a lung cancer surgery-specific scale, implementation standards, clinical application parameters and high-quality researches. The use of a precise and simple PRO scale and an electronic PRO platform may greatly improve the feasibility of implementing this model. Currently, the application of PRO-based symptom management in lung cancer surgery is still being explored and needs to be improved in clinical research and practice.

Objective:To investigate whether the nutrition support team (NST) benefits esophageal carcinoma (EC) patients who are concurrently undergoing chemoradiotherapy. Methods: Between June 2012 and December 2013, 40 EC patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy were divided into the NST group and routine treatment (RT) group, with 20 patients in each group. At the end of chemoradiotherapy, the nutritional status, incidence of complications, and completion rates of radiotherapy were evaluated. The length of hospital stay (LOS) and cost were also compared between the two groups. Results:The nutrition and blood parameter values of the NST group were better (P<0.05) than those of the RT group. The incidence of complications was lower in the NST group (P<0.05) than that in the RT group. In addition, all patients in the NST group achieved the treatment plan, whereas five of the patients in the RT group interrupted or delayed the plan (P<0.05). The average LOS decreased by 3.8 d (P<0.05), and the hospitalization costs were reduced to 6300 RMB person-times (P>0.05) for the patients of the NST group. Conclusion: NST could maintain the nutritional status and improve the treatment compliance and tolerance of EC patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy, thereby shortening the LOS time and reducing the costs.

Objective To provide the scientific basis for realizing the inter-accreditation of laboratory electrolyte detection results by comparing the electrolyte detection results in 5 grade 3A hospitals of Zhuhai city .Methods Each 10 serum samples with low , middle and high concentrations of electrolyte were collected for simultaneously detecting the electrolyte kalium (K) ,natrium (Na) and chlorinum (Cl) .The detection results were performed the statistical analysis and comparison .The mutual bias within 1/2 of al-lowable error of CLIA′88 indicated that the detection results were mutually accredited ,if the mutual bias exceeding 1/2 of allowable error ,the detection results could not be mutually accredited .Results The difference of electrolyte detection results in 5 hospitals accorded with the stipulation requirement of CLIA′88 .Conclusion The electrolyte detection results of 5 hospitals could be mutually accredited .

Objective To evaluate whether the comparability of 3 automatic blood cell analyzers meet the clinical requirements by conducting the comparative study on the detection results of these instruments.Methods With the Sysmex 2100 automatic blood cell analyzer as the reference instrument,Sysmex 1000i and Abbott 1800 as the experimental instrument,the original quality control provided by the instrument factory and the patient′s fresh anticoagulant blood samples in the laboratory were adopted to monitor for continuous 40 d by these three instruments and the detection results of WBC,RBC,HGB,HCT and PLT were analyzed.Results The detection results of these 3 instruments were statistically tested by the F test,the differences showed no statistical significance (P >0.05)and the bias was in 1/2 of the maximum permissible error range in America department clinical test revised regulations (CLIA′88).Conclusion The detection results by these 3 instruments are comparable and can meet the clinical requirements.

Objective To understood the real experience and demand for using the biological agents in outpatient in order to improve the compliance of treatment in patients and provide the basis for the management of biological agents in the outpatient service.Methods Ten outpatients who were using the biological agents received in-depth interviews,and the data were analyzed by the phenomenological analysis.Results Five main structure concept were extracted from the real experience and demand during the use of biological agents,and were respectively the lack of related knowledge of biological agents' infection,the differences in knowledge requirements,the large psychological pressure,the positive and negative effects and the heavy economic burden.Conclusions The patient education should be strengthened during the biological treatment of outpatient service,and the adverse reactions should be right faced.The patients should realize the significance of long-term adherence to treatment and eliminate the negative psychological.At the same time,we should call for the care and support of society in order to improve the compliance of treatment and quality of life of patients.

We studied immune modulation and antioxidant effects of wheat peptides on immunosuppressed mice. Mice were administrated with wheat peptides orally for 10 days and treated with cyclophosphamide at the 8th day. The indexes including serum hemolysin, plaque forming cells, spleen cells proliferation, liver antioxidant enzymes activties, malondialdehyde (MDA), scavenging serum 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and *OH and macrophage phagocytic ability in vitro were measured to assess the immune functions and antioxidation abilities. In vivo study shows that cyclophosphamide significantly decreases serum hemolysin (HC50) and phagocytic function of macrophages. Simultaneously, liver superoxide dismutase, catalase activity and total oxidation capacity were decreased and malondialdehyde was increased. Wheat peptides could recover HC50 and spleen cell proliferation when orally administrated. Furthermore, they could also enhance serum 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and *OH scavenging. In conclusion, wheat peptides can help body resist the stress related disorders in immune and antioxidant system.

BACKGROUND: Geshu (BL 17) is one of eight influential points of blood, acting on tonifying blood, nourishing blood, activating blood circulation and resolving stasis.OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect of Geshu (BL 17) on activating blood circulation and resolving stasis in blood stagnation syndrome with acupuncture.DESIGN: Randomized controlled and normal controlled observations were designed.SETTING: Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.PARTICIPANTS: Totally 65 cases of blood stagnation syndrome were selected from inpatients in Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.METHODS: Totally 65 cases were randomized into experiment group (33cases) and the control (32 cases). In the control, the patent Chinese drug,longxuejie was administrated orally for activating blood circulation and resolving stasis, 4 tablets/time, 3 times/day, 15 days made 1 course of treatment. In experiment group, Geshu (BL 17) was localized bilaterally; after routine sterilization on the points, a filiform needle, 25 mm in length was inserted and manipulated with even technique after arrival of qi for 5 minutes. In 15 minutes of needle retaining, the needle was manipulated for another 5 minutes and retained for 10 minutes, and then, the needle was withdrawn. The treatment was given once a day. Radioimmunoassay (RIA)was applied to determine the levels of 6-K-P and thromboxane B2 (TXB2)in plasma. Criteria on clinical therapeutic effects: Being cured is determined by slight red tongue, retarded and forceful pulse, disappearance of limb pain, skin and mucosal ecchymosis and dysmenorrhea, basic recovery of motor function in hemiplegia and disappearance of numbness. Being effective is by dark red tongue, slightly hesitant pulse, alleviation of limb pain, reducing of skin and mucosal ecchymosis, alleviation of dysmenorrhea, partial recovery of motor function in hemiplegia and alleviation of numbness. No effect is by none of any change of clinical symptoms in comparison before and after treatment.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Observation of therapeutic effects between two groups. ② Observation of plasma 6-K-P and TXB2 levels and 6-K-P/TXB2RESULTS: Totally 65 cases were all in the result analysis. ① Observation of therapeutic effects between two groups: The therapeutic effect in experiment group was higher remarkably than that in the control [be cured:(15,10); be effective: (13,11)]. ② Comparison of plasma 6-K-P levels: In experiment group, it was higher remarkably after treatment compared with that before treatment [(159.28±16.48), (117.25±16.47) μg/L, P ＜ 0.05]. In the control, it was higher remarkably after treatment compared with that before treatment [(133.51±13.97), (114.64±16.39) μg/L, P ＜ 0.05]. ③Comparison of plasma TXB2 level: In experiment group, it was lower remarkably after treatment compared with that before treatment [(98.21±11.38), (110.45±1067) μg/L, P ＜ 0.05]. In the control, it was lower remarkably after treatment compared with that before treatment [(101.15 ±12.14), (109.21±11.58) μg/L, P ＜ 0.05]. ④ Plasma 6-K-P/TXB2: In experiment group, it was higher remarkably after treatment compared with that before treatment (1.621±0.203, 1.101±0.316, P ＜ 0.05). In the control,it was higher remarkably after treatment compared with that before treatment (1.322±0.216, 1.234±0.305, P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSION: Acupuncture on Geshu (BL 17) increases 6-K-P level and 6-K-P/TXB2 and reduces TXB2 level. It is explained that acupuncture on Geshu (BL 17) regulates imbalance of PGI2-TXA2 system in blood stagnation syndrome so that the blood circulation is activated and stasis is resolved.

In search of the optimal preparation method for large-scale purification of human plasma fibronectin, we adopted affinity chromatography with gelatin and the Sepharose 4B activated with cyanogen bromide to purify fibronectin from type "C" plasma of healthy males, and scanned the best method under the conditions of different amount of plasma loading and different residence time in column. In a given column volume of gelatin, the absorbent was related with the plasma residence time in column and the total amount of plasma loaded. As a result, the optimal loading amount of plasma is 150 ml, and the residence time is 20 minutes. The preparation method, herein, has been proved to require small amount of plasma and yield large amount of fibronectin.
